Komushi Hitsuji sat cross legged outside of a small shrine. The sun shone down, through the trees. Specks of light mixed with uneven shadow cascaded over him and the ground in all directions. His eyes were open, unblinking. They stared at a large tree, in full bloom. Pink blossoms lay around it like a blanket of snow. A small bullseye was painted upon the trunk with black ink. Identical targets, but smaller, were located on the many small branches and boughs. They all looked quite unused, being perfectly drawn and not at all mishapen.
The boy leant over, hand touching grass, and scribbled something onto a notepad beside him. The tiny brush in his hand moved quickly against the stark white of the paper, creating words and finally a heading;
'Komushi Training: Part I (Juritsu Kaze Shuriken no Jutsu)'
The boy, at first quiet, held a single hand out in front of him; his right. The palm lay face up, showing itself to the birds and animals of the canopy. Behind him, a small wind chime signalled the beginning of his training, of his new jutsu.
The hand, for a moment, was held perfectly still. Each finger moved not an inch, leaving the movement to the rest of his body. His eyes focused on the tips of his fingers. Pupils traced his fingerprints with a peculiar knowledge of what he was doing, with purpose. His chest heaved up and down, showing his current fascination with channelling the chakra to his hand. Then, he closed his eyes, a stoic expression of stern determination cast upon his boyish features.
He stretched his hand as open as it would go, letting the tingling in his fingertips run to his palm and then channel down his arm and throughout his body. At first, a small breeze picked up. A single cherry blossom left the earth, and then another. Another.
Opening his eyes, he noted a small cherry blossom petal, swirling above his hand. This showed a slight current in the air above his outstretched palm, showed that he was indeed using his chakra correctly. He released a bit more of his chakra, and the petal spun faster and in a smaller ellipse.
Then, the boy jumped to his feet. The grass under his feet permitted a bit of movement, as the wind around the boy grew a bit more. Petals drifted around him for a second, as everything stopped. The boy jumped, spun halfway, and released an invisible amount of energy that would spin through the air towards the cherry blossom tree, marked for impact.
Then, without any warning, everything ceased. The wind ended, the boy fell back to his feet and onto the ground, and the entire jutsu training was at a dead stop.
He gazed up at the tree. Nothing. Not a single scratch against wood, not a single tear upon the leaves. It was evident that the wind shuriken had failed the minute he let it go from his hand. He'd failed the jutsu, yet made considerable progress.
"Dammit..." he said, obviously understanding the patience that goes along with learning new techniques.
Name: Juritsu Kaze Shuriken no Jutsu (Create Wind Shuriken)
Rank: C
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a basically invisible shuriken, composed of fast moving wind.
Special: Horse, Rat, Monkey
Drawback: Can be dodged quite easily.
Description: The user merely flashes the three handsigns; Horse, Rat, and Monkey. Then he transfers the chakra to the tips of his fingers. Suddenly, a bit of wind will form around the users hand, which seems to float above the palm. The user may throw this at an opponent. It has the same basic shape and use as a shuriken, and is twice as hard to see.
Limit: Wind Release
