Relaxing under the Clouds [Open, RP]

Kininata was walking through the streets of the village, eyes moving with a child's eagerness. He hadn't really had much opportunity to see the work being done since he arrived, and if he was going to get settled here, he needed to see the day to day life of the people. He wanted to see how they lived in comparison, what worked well, what struggles they had, and hopefully, he could use his experience to help solve those problems and make life here better for everyone.

He had started with the area around where the Raikage's mansion was - if he wanted to be confident with the village he needed to ensure he could find the right route back. The last thing he needed to happen was getting lost in his first few days here. After a little while, he'd start expanding outwards, towards what he hoped was some kind of park or public community area. Rain had a large hilled area with bridges and pagodas for cover when the rain started, and he was curious to see the differences here.

He was also hoping to meet a few different locals, get to know a few of them. It wasn't too long that he learned there was a large open park on the outskirts of the village; the opening area into the village had a sitting and grassy area, fit for taking small strolls and pets for a relaxing wander without going too far from safety. He made his way there, and saw the mountains creating a pleasant horizon to view from the seating area. There, he pulled out a scroll with some ink and pen, and started his preparations for the diplomatic ambassador request.

He'd been sitting at the bench for over an hour, and was on his third draft for the request. He needed to make sure it was worded the right way to get the Amekage to agree, while at the same time being unrestrictive enough so that he can do what he needs to here. The first draft had been more of his thoughts on what he wanted to say and make sure that there was nothing offensive or impolite. Then he started notes on what his role would be as ambassador, what he would need to do in order to improve relations and fix fences... and that was where it got a little tricky.

Alot of what he wanted to get involved in would be potentially risky - it could get him marked as a spy, or a conspirator or something like that. On the flip side given his intentions it wasn't exactly far off from what it could end up being. By that point the first draft was a list and mish-mash if thoughts and ideas, and the second draft started.

It ended badly. It became a collection of attempts to explain how what he was doing wasn't in league with the enemy, but also not just the benefit of his home. After fifteen, sixteen times of try to do it he stopped, scrunched the scroll up and just started at the clouds for a while. The third scroll was empty, right now, but he was planning of starting the draft soon. He just needed to relax and collect his thoughts.

After another hour, the last draft was done for the message. He read it over a couple of times, checking that it sounded right. With a slight nod he rolled the scroll up and placed it under his shirt, out of sight, and went back to the view. The park itself was open, and gave a view he was not used to seeing even from his little cabin in the neighboring land. It was peaceful here.

He felt the wind flowing through his hair, rustling his coat. He could taste the moisture this high up, the dust from the mountains. The air was cleaner, crisper in a way. Everything just felt right. He smiled at the idea this was something he could have every day, with a life that he had wished for but always worried he could never have. Now it was happening, and he wasn't dreaming.

He rose from the bench and started making his way to the mansion house, to write the official scroll for the Amekage.
