Last night Yoko had been playing a popular game and was inspired by a character within the game. He was not the foundation for the technique that she was about to learn but rather the motivation behind the renewed interest, as of late she had not been that fond of training her mental will. Generally, because of how difficult it was, the skills were innately boring, and that was kind of the point. However, this new outlook on things made Yoko thought that being unaffected by a genjutsu could be quite a cool trick.
“I STAND RESOLUTE!” She screamed the cry as loud as she could, declaring her intent for all of the nearby birds to hear. Likely impressed by her battle cry they all fled the area flying off into the sky. The fundamental concept was that of will power, but rather than training one’s own personal resolve you instead drew off those surrounding you. Yoko had heard stories of a fictional race of people named the Spartans, in individual combat, many of them fell against skilled opponents but when they stood together they were capable of holding a shield wall against a seemingly limitless number of opponents.
It was this strength that Yoko wanted to replicate, the confidence that Johan would protect her, and as would any further teammates that she actively trained the technique with. Knowing that someone had you back was certainly reassuring, and as such, the youth was determined to build this kind of bond with Johan. Now obviously it would be a long process, she would have to spend time reinforcing the other side of the bond with Johan for this to work. He would have to trust her, as much as she trusted him if either was to benefit from the technique.
