It felt too... homey. She woke up to the sound of the bathroom door adjacent to the kitchen opening and closing, the obscene sound of someone brushing their teeth like nails on a chalkboard to the lonewolf's ears. Raising from her bed with mussed hair, the old warrior looks blearily around the room as she smacks her lips and tongue to stir the glands in her mouth. She can distinctly taste cottonmouth. She groans, pushing herself away from the comfort of her slab bed.

By the time she's ready, Shoko must be getting impatient. In her tired, morning haze, she doesn't care. When she moves back out into the kitchen and finds Shoko, there are very little words exchanged between the two of them. It's all an understanding now; you're awake, so it's time to get started. Simple as that. Leading him back down the narrow hallway, they venture once more into her impressive training room. It was replicate of a dojo in its own way, and the smell of singed chakra still lingers from the day before. Standing at the center of the giant room, she places her hands on her hips and nods to Shoko. "Alright, kid," she booms. "You're almost done. Let's not waste any more of our time on this. With your affliction for Raiton and my..." And her what? She didn't have a follow up. "Guidance, you'll have this down in no time."

Their places are resumed from yesterday's afternoon, Abaddon gesturing to where she'd just stood for Shoko to take up. She moves to the far end of the room, folding her arms over her chest. "Do you remember what the next step is?" She asks, projecting her voice so he can hear over the distance between them. "You have to control it, remember? Make it more than a weapon. You have to make it apart of you."

After finding his eccentric mentor, Shoko was lead by Abbadon down a familiar set of corridors, into the same training room that the young Hidden Cloud genin had used the day prior to this one. So that was Abbadon's style huh, no time-wasting one bit. Shoko appreciated it, he also wasn't to frolic on frivolities. The young boy took in the wise words of his mentor as he started on the art of improving his own chidori control.

Shoko started by taking in a few deep breaths and clearing his mind, after that he started a couple stretches to prepare himself for what was to come. Feeling that he was ready, Shoko cast a few well-made handseals, well a lot to be honest. A technique such as the chidori couldn't be performed with only A few measly handseals. After that, Shoko pumped tremendous amounts of chakra from the hundreds of chakra points located in his system. The whole feeling was euphoric, surreal even. The boy felt as if he was being overtaken by a rushing rapids and swept into the infinite expanse of the ocean, his mind was going into overdrive from just trying to channel all that madness into his right hand.

The young boy felt like he was dealing with powers well beyond him, like he should forgo such inconceivable elements at once. But at the same time, naïve Shoko Natamura felt addicted, his blood was pumping, adrenaline coursing through his veins like a rushing rapid. The genin knew what he had to do at that moment. As if stoking a flame, Shoko concentrated every last essence of chakra he could safely summon without completely dying on the spot into his right hand. The previously made handseals would do the rest; Shoko's entire hand all the way up to his forearm erupted into a vortex of pure chaotic lightning. The mad discord of sound mixed with the electrical impulses running round him made him feel as if he was in another world. But Shoko's concentration didn't wane, he focused every last inch of himself into solely maintaining the chidori that he clasped in his hand.

An additional problem, though not necessarily a debilitating one, is the fact that the large amount of chakra can also injure the user's hand if they put too much force into the attack, this happens after the fourth time used as the user taps into their life force. Shoko Natamura paused, a bit too abruptly as his concentration was lost and the chidori that he struggled to maintain faded out of existence. After poking his fingers in his ears a couple times so he could make sure he could hear correctly again. The exhausted boy asked Abbadon to repeat herself, when he heard it again his jaw went slack. Did that mean the boy had actually completed all preparation stages of the chidori?

The boy could hardly believe what he was hearing, he went through a mental checklist before realising that there didn't seem to be anything else to learn but the chidori itself. The silent shinobi stared deeply into Abbadon's eyes, for a few a long, agonising seconds. No words were exchanged, but one could feel the intensity in Shoko's eyes. Was he ready for this?

Well, maybe it was only time that could tell. The dark-skinned young man took a deep breath, contemplating life at that moment. After a short while and with no other questions, the chuunin aspirant sat down on the cold surface of the floor in a lotus-style meditation position. If the nine-year old ever wanted to learn this technique, he needed to have a mind as sharp as his sword. Not an easy feet.

The enigmatic youngling could feel a flurry of thoughts running through his erratic mind, a stream of thoughts that he struggled to suppress. Here it was, the chidori, the one thousand birds technique, The young shinobi's heart hammered in his rib-cage with a furious, uncontrollable intensity. Shoko began taking deep breaths, in and out, the boy kept this up until his heart rate and breathing finally slowed down to a sensible level.

From there on, the boy closed his eyes, envisioning exactly what he wanted to do with the chidori. Shoko went into a surreal, incorporeal-like state as he saw himself charging his hand with the chakra needed for the chidori jutsu. After the One Thousand birds technique was burning bright and true, Shoko's figure would run at a frightening alacrity before slicing straight into a shadowy figure.

No one needed to tell the boy because he knew himself that the shadowy figure represented every obstacle, problem and inconvenience in his life, and that he was going to stab through it with the chidori metaphorically. Yes, he could feel it with his bones, a fleeting sensation of prophetic meaning, the chidori was going to lead him to greatness.

Shoko's brain now felt clearer, now knowing that having the chidori would refine his soul as much as it did his body. Something told the boy that after reaching the paragon of raiton in one of its most purest forms, he would not be learning or mastering anymore lightning style jutsus for a very long time. That much was certain for the young boy.

But boy oh boy, did he want to test the technique out in the chuunin exams that were drawing near. With his intentions and motive clear, the boy would begin to enivison himself performing each step of the technique one after the other. From starting of with moulding of his chidori, channelling high amounts of chakra into his hand after the usage of about a dozen handseals.

The dreamworld he was in felt so real that it was as if he was actually moulding the chidori with his own hands. The biy then moved on to controlling the chidori, putting one hundred percent of what he had into the difficult technique. Making the chidori expand his size and fatality, it burning so bright and intense that he would've closed his eyes if they weren't already shut.

Post 4

Shoko's eyelids flickered open, that vision of his was all he needed to see before getting right on to the nitty gritty. "Alright Abbadon, I can do this now." The newly-energised ninja declared as he strolled over to the middle of the large training room. For a brief moment, Shoko would pause, having to remember the steps to take in order to perform the jutsu.

The boy then got to work, forming a rapid string of handseals one after the other with decent pace. Though to Shoko that wasn't enough, the technique require many difficult handseals that needed to be performed and it took the lad about five seconds to do so. that was five extra seconds for his foe to either interrupt and attack him, perform a jutsu of his own or even escape.

Though Shoko was efficient in the arts of still jutsu, such a powerful technique would be too advanced for the boy too understand and use without handseals. So for the next ten minutes, Shoko would would conduct trial and error on improving the speed at which he worked the handseals. The boy finally felt content when he could pull of all the handseals at little under 3 seconds.

Though no one needed to tell the boy that he wasn't even half done with completing his objective. The One Thousand Birds technique meant so much to him, so he was going to give it his all. Shoko's hands began dancing through the rhythm of the handseals one more time, before he built up not just and extreme, but an incredibly precise level of chakra.

Yet unfortunately, the point of chakra which he would have to fuel into his arms was a tad bit off the mark, leading to a fault in the jutsu. Though the boy himself did not realise this until the lightning that grew out of his hands began moving erratically, slithering up his arms despite the fact that it was supposed to remain concentrated in one place. It was after that Shoko cancelled the developing yet faulty jutsu.

Heck, he wasn't even that disappointed nor frustrated about his failed attempt, trial and error were just the ways of jutsu learning. Shoko would go at it again, hitting it closer to the mark, but not quite getting the full shape of chidoir he was so hell-bent on moulding. The genin would perform three times extra before he was confident in his ability of generating and moulding the perfect chidori.

Staring down at the frantic, buzzing beast of pure raiton energy that vibrated like a machine on his right arm, Shoko would angle his other arms away from it, so that they would not get in the way and possibly interfere with the brewing jutsu. Shoko could already feel the toll it was taking on his body and chakra to maintain it, but he wasn't done yet.

Not only did the enthusiastic young lad have to maintain it, but he had to control it with maximum chakra. It was not going to be an easy feat, yet the boy had done it before, it should be even easier for him now. A few seconds later, Shoko would indeed realise that it was not easier for him, well at least it didn't feel as if it was easier.

The boy's bulging eyes, tensed muscles, laboured breathing and grit teeth were all a testament to that. Second by second, the invisible energy that dwelled inside his body that was his chakra was being depleted in huge amounts. The source of where all that chakra went being his right hand. The strained limb sucked up all of the chakra like a powerful vacuum, fuelling it into the lightning that it harboured.

Second by second, the chidori burned brighter into Shoko's eyes that were half-closed in concentration, it's moulded form became significantly larger as time went on. Not only that, but the discord of sound, the mad cacophony that plagued the training room, automatically forcing Shoko to use his other arms and cover up his ears.

The noise was abolutely unbearable, but if the boy wanted to actually learn and utilise the One Thousand Birds technique, then he would have to train himself against the noise too. Taking a deep breath in, Shoko concentrated on one thing, not the chidori (He really didn't want to end up giving himself an epileptic seizure) but just a random space to stare off into.

It was then that Shoko slowly blocked out the painfully intense noise of the One Thousand Birds jutsu. It was as if chakra had emitted itself from his ear canal and formed a barrier that blocked out soundwaves, because soon he could barely register a single sound.It was only when SHoko knew that he was ready, he put every last bit off his chakra possible into the jutsu, making it fully resemble the sound of one thousand birds.

Post 8

Shoko could feel himself smile as his chidori had reached its peak, but the boy wasn't quite done yet. The resulting effect of all that electrical chakra gathered in one central area led to the feeling of his hand being dragged down by a heavy anvil. That much lightning converging in only his middle right hand made it near impossible to lift up such hand for more than five seconds.

Heck it was painful even. Add that with the fact that Shoko's chakra was just about drained, he knew he still had a fews ways to go before mastering the technique. So the boy would work at it, practising lifting his arm up and down as if he was lifting weights. It was an arduously strenuous task but Shoko would suffer through it with the remaining energy that the fatigued and distressed shinobi would have.

Though it was sheer determination and self-belief that kept him going. About thirty more minutes would pass, with the boy having to take a break to regain his chakra. Shoko would cancel the jutsu to allow himself time to rest and regain energy and chakra. A few chakra-restoring pills and minutes later, the boy was back in action.

The short break had left young Shoko Natamura refreshed and energised, ready to take on and conquer the chidori technique once and for all. Shoko would perform the handseals and build-up chakra to create the vortex of lightning that branched out from the palm of his hands up to his forearm.

Putting everything he had into it like he did the last time, Shoko would find his hand drooped to the ground due to the sheer weight and power of the fully-developed chidori. gritting his teeth Shoko Natamura began running forward, dragging the chidori along the ground as he did so and realising how much it slowed down his usually fast pace.

But Shoko didn't mind, continued to run with the chidori, building up speed and accelerating despite the toll it took on his body. As time went on and Shoko's energy waned but his resolve strengthened, the boy would take a few more breaks as he alternated between resting and training his speed and endurance. Finally, Shoko Natamura could lift it up at sprint with it at waist level and lift it up to little above his shoulders when stabbing with it.

Shoko felt a weird sensation rising up from the pit of his stomach, it was like anticipation mixed with anxiety and happiness. The boy could feel the burning urge to succeed right at that very moment and wanted nothing more than to make that a reality. In the final moments of his training, Shoko would apply every last thing that he had learned into one single attempt.

Shoko stood seven metres parallel to a training dummy, a very unfortunate training dummy in his eyes. Hand seals would be performed, chakra would be released, and at that moment, the young, relatively inexperienced genin, had eyes that blazed with a greater intensity than Raijin himself. The "One Thousand Birds" technique burning bright and true, was shrouded over his middle right arm. The sounds, the light, the chakra, Shoko viewed all of it as a mere extention of his body and thus became one with it.

In one final dash forward at speeds too quick for the untrained mind to process, Shoko Natamura would zip forward like a bullet and impale his chidori through the truly unfortunate training dummy. At that point, Shoko would rise up, turning himself to face his mentor, an oddly heart-warming smile coming from a pair of white teeth.

The boy has a noticeably queasy start, Abaddon can tell by the way he locks his eyes on hers for what seems like hours. She feels a bit thrown off guard, eyes fluttering around the room awkwardly as she clicks her teeth, waiting patiently for the young ninja to gather his barrings.

Admittedly a bit bored after the first long half of his workings, Abaddon loses focus on him and instead wanders through thoughts of her owns. Granted, they are all about chidori and her past few lives, most namely the one in Kaminari she'd worked so hard to keep secret. This boy was bringing old memories to the surface, memories she wasn't too keen on remembering in the first place.

But she is patient, and she doesn't blame this Shoko Natamura for her own short comings, ones that could have been avoided. For now she was going to help him learn this ability he so desperately needed, apparently, and then she would deal with what comes after. She briefly considers challenging him to some kind of hostile spar, have him prove himself worthy of her secrets. She watches how he tries to move back through the pace that Abaddon had taught him and realizes she wouldn't be able to bring herself to that, for some reason. He seemed trustworthy enough already. She couldn't sense a malicious bone in his body. Then again, she wasn't sure if she could sense a particularly holy bone either. The amazonianly tall woman is snapped from her thoughts when the boy calls to her, using a name she hasn't used herself in ages but somehow it feels too familiar all the same. She watched now, watched as he threw together the handseals and worked his chakra over and over until he perfected it to his liking. The erratic sound was always Abaddon's favorite - she grins brightly when Shoko finesses his wielding of the lightning.

It was dragging on for hours. Or, maybe only half hours. Either way, Abaddon was both impressed and bored. While he was clearly an apt learner of the raiton manipulation, quicker than most students would have grasped it, it was still tedious and repetitive. She watches as he tosses back a few pills, presumably chakra restoring, and continues again.

Then, it's all over. Her eyes finally glued to Shoko, she watches as he zips across the room in a moment and pulverizes an unfortunate dummy. When he rises, muscles seeming to ripple with electricity, he turns and gives Abaddon a beaming smile. She honestly can't help but to break out into her own smile, though she's not sure if she's proud of him or excited to move on with her life. She dashes towards him, at his side in an instant. She grabs his shoulders and gives him a shake, laughing a bit. "Great job!" She exclaims, admittedly a bit impressed. She shoves that down. "You're a fast learner, kid! It's nice to know that there are still some youth at their with an aptitude for chakra manipulation." Her eyes drop pointedly to his dominant hand. "How's the chidori hand? Burnt? Strained? Maybe give it a bit before you try to use this in a real fight. There's a bunch of different things you can learn about the chidori, but you won't need me for those. You already know how to manipulate it."

Realizing that she's gushed, still giving his shoulders slight, congratualtory shakes, she takes a step back. Her heels clack noisily on the hard floor. "I can write down a few basic tricks for you, if you'd like. Or you can just experiment with it." Afraid that he might think it's an invitation to stay longer, she shakes her head quickly and gestures to the exit of the training room. "Not here though. I don't want your village coming and looking for you, and finding me. They don't like me so much over there."

[Master Game]

Shoko would have a minute to catch his breath after the initial shock, excite and congratulations of learning the chidori technique. The boy's right hand was almost scorched, burning like a hot coal as his muscles spiralled into a fit of severe cramps. The boy's teeth would grit as he listened to Abbadon's final words, with a mixture of joy and agony. The shinobi was curious on learning the variations of the chidori technique and what forms it could go into, but Shoko could see that his mentor was still quite anxious about when he would be leaving.

The boy settled on Abbadon writing down the paths of chidori on an unused journal of his as he thanked her profusely for everything she had done for him, especially regarding the chidori technique. Things felt amazing, but Shoko knew that the time to be leaving was soon. The boy packed his bags and all of his belongings, slugging them neatly over he shoulder as he stood by the exit of Abbadon's humble abode. The boy would wait for her so he could accept the journal full of chidori techniques and also bid his final goodbye.
