"Whee!" finally Amelie's feet touched the ground after a long two weeks ride on the little unstable sea cutter. "Uaaa." Amelie almost lost her footing, after all being so long on the sea gave her headaches even though she tried her utmost best to focus on one thing. She closed her eyes and took a large breath, basking in the hot sun and enjoying the breeze. Amelie tried to recall what she was doing on the sea cutter for the whole two weeks. If it was not for this, then the sea sickness surely would have rooted even deeper.
Ah, yes, she remembered the smell of wood. Before going on the journey thanks to the folks at the B.I.N.G.O agency, she has thought about working on some wood for a change. The girl was stranded for a year at an unknown island totally off the map where she perfected her tailoring craft and began exploring the allure of woodcraft. Yes, indeed there were many trees at that tropical island, one would think choosing a sturdy piece of wood a mere child's play, but that would have been a mistake.
Tropical areas indeed were bustling with wood, however find a sturdy one proved to be difficult. There were many types of wood perfectly agile, but when bending them too much, they would simply snap in half. From her previous studies of the fauna, she discovered the type of wood called 'Cambara' which was often confused with 'Mahogany'. They do share a bit of the same properties, that is most likely why. This wood had a reddish color and was of the open grain type, perfect for decking and even making furniture.
