Thinking about the fact that she had sent Akumu on a mission to acquire several travel rituals, she decided to visit Kimyona's Tower in hopes of learning what she could about being a travel ritualist. He was well-versed in all sorts of ritual arts, so she felt that he would have some idea about what to do. When she saw Kimyona, he was in his study looking over some scrolls and was surprised when she came in. When she explained the situation, Kimyona pulled down a scroll from one of the shelves that had the kanji for "Travel" sprawled on a blue ribbon around the scroll. He passed it to Valerys and said, "Here. Study this scroll and then maybe you'll be ready to start getting down to more serious work of the travel ritualist." Valerys was used to such training from Kimyona, so she took the scroll with her to one of the nearby desks and opened it up. It seemed that this one was a primer on the travel rituals and was not a comprehensive list, rather a short introduction that explained some of the basics and how one could start learning them. There was an explanation of how one had to modify there chakra in order to cast travel rituals, which seemed to be concerned with linking one's chakra to various places and across vast distances. Valerys began to try doing this within her own mind, even if she hadn't started working with Kimyona very closely yet, and saw the Senpu Dojo as a map throughout her head which could be reached out to with her chakra.

Valerys continued to read through the scroll as it detailed how to formulate a map of an area within one's mind, as well as fill it out with the appropriate landmarks for the greatest potential use of one's chakra in a ritual. She could see the Senpu Dojo and the various towers, knowing that in later casting of the rituals this knowledge would come in useful. As she continued to read, the text described how the travel rituals worked in accordance with the laws of space. This section was rather dense and filled with all sorts of equations and assertions of physic that Valerys was not entirely familiar with. As she read Kimyona stood close by to guide her to the answers of any questions that she had, discovering that the universe was made up of all sorts of small particles that could be manipulated with chakra. This, it seemed, was the building blocks of travel rituals and the necessary mode of completing them.

Not only was Valerys learning about the variety of particles that existed and how they interacted with the chakra that leaked from her body, but she was learning as well how to control their force so that the fabric of space could be bent with one's internal reserves of energy. It was highly intellectual work and Kimyona didn't give in on her for a second, keeping the study rigorous. When she had learned the laws of space that she would have to manipulate, Valerys finished the scroll by reading about the various tools that were needed for a budding Travel Ritualist. Maps, mental and physical, were necessary for the formation of rituals and knowing where they would be located. Furthermore, there were certain stones and minerals that could be used to enhance a rituals effectiveness. While the shell of a snail could be used in a travel ritual, for example, it would be much better to use the claw of a cheetah. The scroll taught her many such small and useful hints, which Valerys memorized in anticipation of her test with Kimyona the ritualist master. He told her after hours of study that it was time to take the exam.

Kimyona presented a test on the introductory material and Valerys soared through it and passed with flying colors, not one to slack on her studies. Kimyona dismissed her for the day and on the next morning presented her with a new scroll. This one was larger than the other and marked with a seal that meant "Travel." She untied the knot that bound the scroll and started to look through it -- noticing that there were various designs inside for all of the travel rituals as well as descriptions of all of their basic properties, uses, and requirements. In all it would take quite a bit of time to read, and Kimyona seemed to relish this fact. "Oh come on," Valerys said, "I gotta read all of this?" But he just left her to it. Valerys opened up and began with the Create Teleportation Circle ritual which was generated from a seal that appeared to be held together in three interwoven circles. Valerys stared at the image with wonder and tried to memorize the seal for later use. She started to read and found out that this ritual was one of the preliminary skills for a travel ritualist and that she would need to master it in order to link stronger rituals. The text said, as well, notes that Kimyona had apparently written by hand all over the scroll that contributed to her understanding.

The notes on the Create Teleporation Circle ritual described the different colors of light that could be emitted from the seal during the creation of the rituals, indicating various chakra routes that one could take in forming other rituals that linked to the portal. When she was done, Valerys moved on to other sigils that described more complex rituals throughout the scroll. The next, most preliminary, ritual was the Link Portal ritual which was also needed to link teleporation circles from the first ritual. This one's seal looked like two circles held together by a line, which faded before it touched the edge of the spheres. Valerys read about how to link one's chakra across space and melded it with the knowledge she had read about physics and the small particles. Later rituals began to reference the Create Teleportation Circle ritual and Linked Portal ritual as she read further, going over bit by bit and memorizing all the details. She knew that one of Kimyona's infamous tests would be just around the corner when she had completed her work. All of the rituals were distinct and required different methods to perfect. Each one was a step-by-step process that had to be converted to memory so that she could use the proper methods when she began to learn the rituals. Already her ritual book was held to her side, waiting for her to make use of the instructions that had been recently purchased.

As Brynjyr brought up his sand shield it blocked the incoming earthen bolts being fired at him and completely destroyed his shield."Shit" Brynjyr said as he did not have time to construct his clones. Noticing from the corner of his eye his opponent coming in fast behind him, He parried the blow she attempted to connect to the center of his back. The flat wide part of his great sword taking the force to keep himself protected. With a light sigh, he spoke out "That was a close one, and you are a worth adversary to me young lady." He noticed that he was actually breaking a sweat which doesn't happen often.

Brynjyr watched as once her punch landed against the side of his blade she jumped back. Not noticing if she landed in the radius of his sand or outside his territory, He swung his blade around in front of him turning to face her and keep her in his sights. He got into his sword fighting stance his blade facing her he waited for her next move as he concentrated creating, and storing chakra in his hands. He had planned on what to do if his opponent had advanced on him again or if she stayed where she was. He was at the ready and once the chakra was channeled into his hands he would hold up his right hand and open it creating a three foot bolt of lightning.

If she stayed where she was Brynjyr would Hurl the lightning bolt at his opponent. Hoping to hit her and temporarily immobilize her, If this happened then he planned on rushing her for a two handed sword strike to her midsection. If not and she came at him again he attempts to weave handseals and hold his hand to his mouth. Taking a deep breath he would breath out at a slow steady pace and create a large plume of constant fire like a flame thrower that he could turn and aim as such making it very hard to get to him. The Fire style inferno technique would only be used if and when she was in close enough proximity to get hit by it, as to not waste his chakra.

Description: By focusing chakra in the center of the palm the use is able to send lightning from the center of the palm to make a three foot long lightning bolt in their hand which is able to be thrown like a javelin.

Fire Style: Inferno Technique

Effect: Shoots small gout of flame towards the opponent.

Drawback: Requires the user to exhale and keep their dominant hand cupped over their mouths. Once the user is out of breath of moves their hand, the technique falls.
Description: The user performs the handseals, energizing their hand and their esophagus with chakra. The user then cups their hand over their lips and exhales. The oxygen being expelled from the lungs combusts upon reaching the chakra from the hand, and the user blows it out a maximum of ten feet away. This is different from the Goukakyou no Jutsu in the fact that this comes out as a stream and not a fireball, and also different from the fact that once the user stops breathing out or moves their hand, the technique ends.

Description: Affects any 2 creatures per Class Level within the range of the technique as long as they are not more than 10 meters away from one another. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 hours per class level. This Jutsu creates an invisible but tangible field of force around a small group of recipients, effectively protecting them from harm by creating a phantom armor around each of them. The subjects of this Jutsu benefit from a +2 Hardness as long as they remain within a 10-meter radius of the user. Because it is made of force, incorporeal creatures cannot bypass it the way they do normal armor. When used in conjunction with Chakra Armor, the bonuses of both Jutsus stack.

As Valerys entered the training room with Akumu at her side, in the half-blood form of the cobra about her own height, she saw Kikkai taking on some opponent in the middle of the room. The man that she was fighting started to form a pair of handsigns just as Valerys moved her hand up and created her own move. Suddenly chakra, invisible and fluid, made a sphere around Kikkai so she could not move. She had time to watch as the man formed his javelin of lightning and threw it toward her, doing nothing as it disappated against the defensive energy. While she did this to protect Kikkai, and to keep her from moving, Valerys would walk up to the man with Akumu following at her side -- making a low chuckle for just a moment. As she stepped forward Valerys would be running her chakra throughout her arms, getting ready to learn more force jutsus.

Valerys stepped right up on to the sand. If the man tried out his Inferno technique on her then he would find that it had little effect, only burning the tips of her auburn hair and doing minor damage as smoke trailed off in the wind. It would almost appear as if she could walk through fire. The whole time Valerys kept molding her force chakra and preparing it in her right hand, forming it into a dense compacted area of chakra. Once she had been weak in these skills, but now she found that the power of the force flowed through her easily -- like electricity through a conductor. All of a sudden, chakra began to swarm near her companion (the cobra) in a very similar way. His black scales seemed to radiate in Valerys' mind as she interpretted his chakra network and prepared it to recieve armor.

If the man tried to swing his sword, Valerys was prepared to act. But she would not attack if he didn't, although would get very close so that they were face to face, and turn her head toward Kikkai. "Tsk, tsk. What have you gotten into this time, Kikkai?" She looked closely at the man, noting the sword and that he was a taijutsu user as well as a ninjutsu user. Or perhaps it was just a back-up since his fire style hadn't been that menacing. The whole time she thought about it, the force chakra continued to radiate toward Akumu and build up his power, running through Valerys body to his. Akumu could sense how much of the dense, force chakra he was recieving and felt an armor seem to grow around his scales as it formed -- getting stronger and stronger with each second. Kikkai huffed a little from within the sphere, obviously not happy about being locked up.

"I hope she didn't cause any problems," Valerys said with a grin, "So who are you?"

Brynjyr was in the midst of throwing his bolt of lightning, and as he watched it quite literally hit his target but seem that it had no effect as if it was absorbed; He was intrigued. This random person had stopped his opponent and seemed to be using something like mind control or whatever because he didn't know. As the lady approached him he would hold back on using his fire style inferno technique. He would still have it ready if needed and would hold his sword in his defensive sword style stance. The large snake and lady that came up to him without a care in the world made him ponder, Who are these people and why are they interrupting my sparring match?

He spoke out "My name is Brynjyr, Whom might you be? Also why are you interrupting my sparring match with this young lady?"Brynjyr knowing the rules of sparring and the fact that someone of his opponents side either friend or teammate interrupting the sparring match would make it a win for him, As he knew that in a standard sparring match normally in any part of the world these were the rules. He stood there at the ready just in case these people and sentient being would attempt to team up on him, keeping a keen eye on the newcomer and the serpent accompanying her.

Brynjyr would then nod to his opponent thanking her for the sparring and accepting his win.

The lightning bolt soared through the air and disappated harmlessly against an invisible barrier around Kikkai. Valerys looked at this man, Brynjyr, and couldn't help but giggle. "Who am I? It's a complicated answer." Looking at him face to face, standing on his sand without hesitation, Valerys looked him down from top to bottom -- seeming to assess his skill level. "I've been called many names. Some say that I'm a demon..." She gazed into the distance with her deep, red eyes. The entire time she was running chakra throughout her body and wondering about enhancements to her genjutsu. She didn't think she would need to use it right now, but kept her chakra flowing just as a second-thought. There was a distinct genjutsu "feel" to the chakra that flooded her body but she needed to shape it in an entirely different way, to increase its ability to match the depth of reality.

"But you can call me Lillith." She looked around closely at the sand and the great sword, wondering if he was in fact a ninja. She controlled her emotions as he acknowledged Kikkai, as if he had won. "And it seems you're quite strong," Valerys said, bringing up her right hand despite his sword and running it along the side of his arm -- as if to prove her point. Assuming he didn't jerk away or try to strike... yes that would be a poor decision indeed. The thrill of meeting Brynjyr and seeing his strength made her blood-lust grow. The chakra that she was manipulating to go into a genjutsu was reacting and swirling in odd patterns, adding levels of depth that Valerys had never seen in a jutsu before. But without the handseals they would not be conjured. "Tell me, how did you acquire such skill? Are you a ninja?"

The words hung in the air with emphasis, as if she was impressed. The genjutsu ever formed within her chakra network. Valerys silently thought on the nature of her senses, everyone individually. She recognized the chakra associated with her occular system and pushed it into the sight associated with any genjutsu she cast from her chakra network. Next she went to work on the ears, assessing her own auditory system. She didn't know what Brynjyr would say about his powers, but if he had talent then perhaps there would be hope for the new recruits from the Sand Village yet. She hadn't seen too many and silently hoped that the ninja weren't going soft. When she had added a layer of specific auditory chakra to her network, Valerys ran her consciousness into her hands and the chakra associated in her nerves with the sense of touch. It was going much faster than she expected but, then again, she was a genjutsu specialist.

Valerys, known as Lillith, stared at the man and awaited his reply. When there was none she turned to her group, releasing the defense around Kikkai, and said, "Come on, it's time to go." Kikkai gave a relunctant look, like she was about to disagree, but then Valerys shot her a glance. Kikkai kept quiet as the cobra giggled through a hiss and moved forward to let Valerys on its back.

"When you are ready to know more about the power you could achieve," Valerys said, her red eyes blazing with some strange emotion, "then seek me out." And when that she turned away with the rest of her group and headed out of the training room. Sending the other two off for now.

Valerys walked into Kimyona's Tower and went to the alchemical lab. The lab was empty for the time and Valerys pulled out a peridot that she had snagged from her bedroom. It was an almost transparent green-yellow, or olive, and shined dimly in the light of the latern on the corner of the table. Immediately getting out one of the wool cloths and ointments from the upper drawers, she set about polishing the stone and getting ready of its surface imperfections. The task was rather simple and a quick go, especially for one as talented with gems as Valerys Kedoin, but necessary before the hard crafting took place. With each stroke of her hand Valerys noticed that the peridot picked up a bit of luster and prepared itself for the sculpting that was about to take place.

Valerys moved on to the more detailed work of the Wolf Fang by taking out more complicated tools, a fine chisel and a hammer. They were basic tools for a gem-cutter, and Valerys strapped on a special monocular to better view the crystalline structures. As she peered closely at the mineral, she chipped away at each fracture and groove on the top side -- the more narrow side. The olive-green of the peridot became less cloudy and more transparent with each layer she removed, eventually beginning to form a rough tip from her cuts. It was precise work, in order to ensure that the fine tip of the Wolf Fang was not chipped or bent and could not be achieved with a simple rubbing device or wool. This had to be a jagged, aggressive cut just like the creature that it was meant to summon. Valerys closed her eyes and felt the chakra running through her body.

As Valerys closed her eyes and her chakra began to consume her, it moved into the chisel and the hammer as well and fueled them with a high-powered energy. It seems to come from the spirits themselves, Valerys reflected as a giant wolf seemed to appear in her head and make some soft growl before disappearing from her consciousness. She could feel the energy of the wolf as she chiseled out the rest of the tip of the Wolf Fang. In the end, it was sharp and well defined -- looking oddly like a half-broken cliff that twisted just at the end in a satisfying pattern. Valerys smiled with acceptance as she turned the peridot over. Now it looked misshapen, as if there was still much that needed to be done to this side. Valerys put up the hammer and chisel getting ready for the next stage in this alchemical journey.

With the hammer and chisel put away, Valerys turned her attention to a rubbing cloth and a smoothing salvent that was made from a plant she didn't recognize and smelled expressly like oil. She rubbed on a thick layer of the salvent and pulled back a little at the smell as she took the cloth and began to rub in small circles. The cloth had fine, steel fibers that gribbed the stone and began to pull away and polish its lower surface. Valerys went deeper and deeper into the stone with her grinding, until it began to smooth out on one side to the depth that she wanted. Then she moved around the rest of the Wolf Fang, making sure that each of its aspects were getting smoothed out equally to make the correct proportions for the fang. As she did this, she could feel the distinct gaze of eyes on the back of her head. There seemed to be some canine creature gazing at her, probably from another realm, and beginning to grant its essence to the endeavor. Valerys knew that this was the crucial moment.

As Valerys attuned more closely with the vision her chakra was creating, as it fueled into the Wolf Fang from her palms, she noted that it was a dire wolf that gazed at her from behind. It was a white, female wolf that walked forward into her body and through her -- into the peridot. The gem began to glow with the power and radiance of her chakra as the white, dire wolf moved through her body and chakra system. Valerys could feel its essence and for a moment thought about her life in an entirely different way. And then it was gone. All of that energy was bound into the Wolf Fang and Valerys looked at what she had remaining, the chiseled out fang in a perfectly olive peridot fueled with some essence of the dire wolf. But it wasn't enough. Valerys made a plan to increase its strength and set to work on getting a small platform and microscopic, to move to the most fine details -- the enhancements.
