"Undead for dummies" was a very, very basic book on the most basic of undead but it served Zeki's purpose of learning about them well enough for now. He was sitting in a corner of the Well with just enough light to be able to read, while avoiding everyone else to help keep his concentration on task. The book was going over what made the most basic of undead tick in this chapter, which was mostly being infused with dark energy or being infected by another undead.
He also learned about how many undead sort of mutate the host's body to help kill victims and spread their infection even more. It was actually quite frightening what they could accomplish by twisting their hosts bodies; vampires, ghouls, ghasts, and even some zombies.
And that wasn't even counting ghosts and banshees. Those things were just the spirits of the dead coming back, and were much harder to kill. It was all very enlightening.
