Dalamadur Temple [Private|Training|Cohort]
Named after an Elder Dragon who spawned Akumu the Quetzalcoatl from his scale, the temple is called the Dalamadur Temple. It was constructed in ancient times but has since withered, leaving a husk of what it once was. It is said that it was built by an ancient races of snake-human hybrids called the Yuan-ti, but it had since been raided by humans and left abandoned. Akumu took up residency here and found few humans so decided to call it home. The temple is greeted by a long bridge across a desert cavern among pale-colored plateaus, which lead to the face of a dragon (transformed to almost look human). Inside of its mouth is a deep cave which will lead one to the temple -- in the middle of jungle and desert terrain with various rivers and small plateaus and sand dunes around. Two yuan-ti statues, one made out of white marble and the other obsidian, stand about ten meters tall and guard the entrance to the temple. A mountain range can be seen in the disance, its base often shrouded with mists. Many have wondered what lies beyond, but a great stretch of jungle separates the two.
The temple was recently discovered by Akumu, the Quetzalcoatl, and he has named it the Dalamadur Temple after the Elder Dragon that called him forth with his scale. Although the place is devoid of people, the surrounding villagers have begun to note the presence of a gargantuan, black flying serpent which they call Nightterror (discernable with a Current Affairs check DC 50). However, few people have traveled up this high or care to investigate the temple, leaving its dwellers relative seclusion. Beyond the old temple, which Akumu has vowed to rebuild, is a pool in the middle of this desert jungle which is covered by brush, trees, and various vines and other foliage. The pool is often a good place to relax and creatures visit here, as if it were some sort of sacred area. Around the pool exists an ancient garden which has since become overgrown and a thickness of jungle.
The temple itself appears to be a small square temple made out of odd stonework and layered with many different designs and symbols. A player could possibly interpret these symbols (with a successful Culture (Quetzalcoatl) or Ancient History check DC 100) to be markings of an ancient chakra-based religion to a flying serpent goddess whose name has not been included on the outside of the temple. Going inside are several stone tables and chairs, and an old altar at the front. All of it seems to have withered over time, begging for somebody to fix it. A giant door hidden on the floor behind the altar leads to a staircase into the basement -- where there are all sorts of interesting chambers and hallways.
Deep beyond the pool and further into the jungle is the place known as Shi no Mori, marked on a sign as one enters: 死の森. This is the Forest of Death, once worshipped by the Yuan-ti who filled these temples hundreds of years ago. Various groves, undeground labyrinths, and pools are home to yuan-ti and other serpentine masters around Shi no Mori. Below is a list of all the masters and their training areas.
- Senshi Hebito -- Senshi Hebito is a yuan-ti master who has lived for 2,455 years. He has taken to hiding the past 1,000 years due to heightened tensions and only teaches particularly exceptional students. He is a master in Armiger, Marksman, and Bard -- as well as a member of the Mabuki clan and a Meister. He is a particularly capable individual with several good weapons and items with which to train. His home is a grove just a short distance and to the north in Shi no Mori. It is an opening in the treeline, covered in rough grass and other desert shrubbery. A small pool occupies a corner of the grove, but other than that there is not much water. Variuos animals come her to nest and rest, while Senshi sleeps in a treehouse among the palm trees and other large desert foliage.
The yuan-ti are not the only creatures native to Shi no Mori, however, and various other beings also roam these forests. For those who have spent any amount of time in the woods, they will have noticed certain creatures known as "shadow people" who creep through the trees at night. They have also been known to whisper strange truths and even prophecies without anybody being able to see them. Other creatures besides these shadow people include animals and their monstrous varieties, such as dire wolves bred for the desert and huge skyvipers. The yuan-ti spent many centuries attempting to determine the secrets of Shi no Mori to no avail, and its mysterious remains long after their civilization ended.

- The Library of the Yuan-ti -- The library of the yuan-ti is a vast space closed off behind two large, sapphire doors that open to reveal a vast shelf network of scrolls and books. These scrolls and books are primarily related to ninjutsu and various dark techniques which have been sealed off and protected. Hundreds of students have used these texts to enhance their powers and have left various notes inscribed on the insides of the scrolls. The library opens to several sections of books on the various ninjutsu releases, and then begins to detail various aspects of the genjutsu perceptions and taijutsu weapon styles as well. If one ventures past all of these shelves, they will stumble upon a small, open doorway which leads to a small room (20 x 20 ft.) with just a small table, a chair, and various shelves that contain small scrolls and texts. This room is called the Soul Chamber and the marks, ソウルチャンバー, are etched across one of the walls above a shelf of books that is covered in what appears to be incense and candles. The books on this shelf can assist players in discovering parts of their souls for either soulcasters, mabukis, sensors, bards, or any other style that may make use of souls and inner essence.
Amaraxis -- (Beastly Soul) Amaraxis is the oversoul of the quetzalcoatl that yuan-ti and their ancestors see when they enter heavy trances within the Soul Chamber. They are completely black except for two golden eyes and are enormous, being able to fit their size to any imaginable dimmensions. Quetzalcoatls and similar creatures may reach Amaraxis through trance in order to train with them and master their souls. - Torture Chamber I. -- The first torture chamber in the network of halls that is the Dalamadur Temple, there is simply a chair and a set of machines lined all around the room. These machines emit powerful beams of genjutsu and illusion-type chakra attacks upon the victims who are caught inside. Individuals have discovered, however, that this room is particularly good for teaching one to increase their resitance to genjutsu effects.
- Akumu's Office -- After having spent some time training at the dojo, Akumu built an office for himself which included all sorts of tools and items that he could use to increase his knowledge on various skills (thanks to money supplied by Valerys Kedoin). The area is off-limits unless one has permission and Akumu often spends hours here, isolated and trying to gain power through his intelligence.
[li]Shi no Mori:[/li]
- Grove of Senshi Hebito -- The Grove of Senshi Hebito, found deep in Shi no Mori, is one of the only safe spaces in all of the woods. He has been cleansing the place everyday for many years, making it a somewhat holy sanctuary in a very dark forest. There is a pool here which offers clean water and space to set up camp -- as well as wood for fire and various cooking supplies. Animals will come here often to enjoy the space and bathe in the water, and Senshi prefers to create a safe space for them even if it happens to be a wolf or bear. The shadow people are not known to enter the Grove of Senshi Hebito and here players may be safe from their mischief.
- Grove of Shikumo Doku -- The Grove of Shikumo Doku is found deep within the woods of Shi no Mori. Very few humans possess the skills to venture this far and none have survived after their encounter with Shikumo. The master has built an enormous web shelter that stretches 300 meters over a vast expanse of the forest. Small creatures and humans often get trapped and serve as meals for the master. Shikumo takes on very few students, but when he does they may be invited to occupy the shelter. Inside the shelter is various corridors and chambers which seem to have very few items and survive only as storage vaults and empty rooms.
