[Post 2 of 3]
With her first few sentences spoken Kahimi would feel like she had gotten her first initial feelings out of the way. She cared not how anyone really reacted afterward as long as they were listening first. So to avoid wasting time, she would take the time to breathe before continuing.
And in that moment both eyes would open slowly. Her eyelids stopping just above halfway as she would stare at the Kumo Ninja and the former Amekage from the other side of the table. Each of them in her opinion is a representation of what being a shinobi in the mainland looks like. She would not bother looking at her fellow Yuki ninja, however.
Kahimi's gaze was cold and unrelenting. A 1000 yard stare that never ended. Deadly precise and full of hatred for what she believes to be cynical ideals that plague the shinobi world. Including her own. That stare would fall on Ryutatsu as she would finally continue to speak.
"You mentioned earlier what the point of bringing up old history is when there are signs of cohesion amongst neighboring villages despite it and in sooner order. I'll answer it for you if you'd care enough to listen.
For humans in particular. History shows the victors and losers of old battles who are to blame for crimes, and end results carried out for events good or bad over time. Those that choose not to act according to these events try to keep their sense of peace. Others feel like peace was not yet obtained and seek a way to make it so.
Those not yet born or with views in between the two are left with the scraps or caught in the crossfire. I can understand if you are feeling uninterested or unbothered by anything Lord Third has shared thus far. You look to be around my age..." she'd say with the ending sentence being almost teasingly spoken. But then quickly falling back in chilling seriousness.
"But that is why I'd plead that you understand it is self-destructing to question why it is important to check the historic value of the past during meetings such as this.
Because in the case of the shinobi world. It is always the blissfully unaware sheep that are the first ones forgotten by the shepherd. The same shepherd that leaves them for the wolves in favor of those he plans to keep for wool."
"The wars of old did not initially concern the majority of our generation. Nor should it be our problem. But in today's climate who do you really think will be unfortunately leading the next one as a result?
Someone who understand what the pain and suffering of war holds like Lord Third and the Raikage before you now? Or someone like You, myself, Teshina, and Juniper here?
Young and for any reason could feel wronged in a world full of broken families and a lack of trust? Which is the more likely motivation to start killing and pillaging others for freedom to you?"
"Forgive me if I seem hostile. But I'd hope someone with a clan that was needlessly erased just like mine would understand that..." she'd then finish.
