[Training & Travel] A path of his own.

Kotetsu stood not far from the village gates at the base of a massive tree, he could not see to far because of the dense mist that constricted his vision. Yaku had entered the village and was headed to see the Kage, Kotetsu had decided to wait out side the village for a little while because he had never really liked places with alot of people, or at least that was the reason he wanted people to know. Really he was wondering what he should do from here on, he had joined Yaku and left his village which he most likely would have done on his own anyway. At this point he believed that this Mizukage and Yaku were just going to hold him back.

Kotetsu's mind slowly drifted away from reality as he tried to imagine all the choices he had at the moment, it wasn't too hard of a decision though. He would seclude himself some where and train, but he couldn't do it around here where alot of people had already seen him. Kotetsu dug his hand through his pouch until his fingers wrapped around a scroll he had stuck in there earlier. He pulled out the old scroll and opened it, it was the map Yaku had handed him earlier, he felt some what bad for leaving with out returning it but he would get over it soon enough.

He began to walk back to wards the shore where they had left the boat they used to cross the waters from fire. After a few minutes of walking he reached the shore where the boat sat, gentle waves knocking it back and forth, had he waited much longer, the boat would have been taken with the tide.

Kotetsu jumped inside the boat and used the oar to push himself off from the shore and out into the water, as the boat glided out from the mist he could see the sun for the first time since he had arrived, if he judged correctly it had to be about mid-morning. An hour passed before the boat neared the shores of the fire nation, he had left Yaku behind to persue his own goal of power but he still had to thank him for bringing back the fighting spirit he had held in the old days.

Kotetsu stepped from the boat, out on to the sand that lined the coast line for as far as he could see. He slowly made his way up the beach while he removed the scroll from his pouch again to look at it. He ran his fingers across the scroll while mapping a course in his mind, he decided to head to the grass nation. If the map was to be read correctly grass was all the way on the other side of the fire nation, that would atleast be over a day maybe a little less if he moved as fast as he could.

Before moving on he glanced around at what was around him, straight ahead was a long stretch of trees that he could not see the end of and also his quickest path to the grass nation. He ran up to the trees and jumped on top of a branch, only staying there for a second before leaping to the next branch and continuing on like this to make it across the forrest.

Kotetsu quickly moved from tree to tree leaving no more than a slight mark in the branch where his feet landed on the branch for a second or so before jumping off again. A decent amount of time passed and Kotetsu was still making his way through the trees, he could not tell exactly how much time because the tops of the trees blocked the sun from his view but he could tell that it had to have been atleast two or three hours.

More and more time passed until finally he reached the end of the trees where a road cut through them, he stopped on the last branch before the road to check the map once more. This road led off to the waterfall nation, but it looked like he could follow it most of the way and then break away from it when he neared grass and cut through some more trees until he reached the border.

Kotetsu jumped down from the branch and began to walk down the road, the sun was past it's high point as he had expected it to be but since he had made decent timing through the forrest he could afford a bit of a walk atleast for now. Along side the road was a stream filled with fish moving gracefully through the water most likely in search of their lunch. Having given himself a decent rest, Kotetsu picked up the pace and burst out in to a run again, he stuck to the side of the road not far from the trees so that he could easily jump in side the trees to hide if he saw any other shinobi coming his way.

By the time he reached an outpost the sun was already near setting, this outpost on the map was the point he had looked at earlier that meant he would have to get off the road and move through the woods again. Kotetsu entered in to the woods and jumped up in to the trees to pick up his pace a bit, he continued on this way until the sun had completely sunk down off the horizon and the moon was all that illuminated his path.

Kotetsu passed through fields and forrests, all shown clearly by his map and the fact that his map was right meant that he was nearing the border to the grass nation. Once he reached his destination he would find a nice secluded area and begin his training. With in the hour he had reached the border, there was nothing special, no structures, no guards, just some trees and a long stretch of grass land.

Raiton no Jutsu (Lightning Release Skill)
With this skill, or release, the user is now capable of using, and performing techniques that deal with the element of Lightning. This means that any NinJutsu or specialized TaiJutsu that deals the Lightning Release will need this in order to be performed correctly.

Kotetsu walked a bit until he reached a small area not too far from the border to fire, he had come here to train and that is what he planned to do. The first thing he wanted to do was learn to use his chakra to create lightning so that he could fight with out the need of sand around him.

Kotetsu removed the gourd from his back and placed it on the ground next to him before sitting down on the grass. To start he formed a basic hand seal and began to focus his chakra, he had not trained in a while and now he was training for something completely different then the kind of things he was used to. The man could feel his chakra flowing through his body, from his finger tips, to his mind, and all the way down to the tips of his toes; He was ready to train.

The first step was to try and create some static charge using his chakra, he reached in to his pouch and pulled out a kunai. A metallic object like a kunai should be able to hold some kind of static charge so it would do for the training. Kotetsu placed the kunai on the ground and began to focus his chakra, he then placed his hand over the kunai and began to focus his chakra on the kunai attempting to build up a static charge.

As he finished putting his chakra around the kunai he slowly lowered one finger towards the kunai, there was a minor little jolt but it wasn't even enough to be called static, it was barely even note worthy. This wasn't something he could really think of a special kind of approach for, rather it was just some thing he needed to practice a bit more before he got the hang of it.

Taking a long and greatly drawn out breath, Kotetsu decided to try again. He formed a hand seal and once again began to build up the chakra through out his body before placing his hand over the kunai and flowing his chakra over it's surface. He tried his best to cover every area of the kunai with his chakra while at same time attempting to give it a charge.

After deciding he had done enough Kotetsu removed his hand from above the kunai and slowly lowered his right index finger towards the kunai, as it drew near he gelt a quick jolt and he could hear a faint snapping sound as the static transfered itself from the kunai to his finger. Having successfully charged the kunai he decided that all he needed was a little bit more practice before he could move on to the harder things.

Description: After preforming the needed hand seals, the user grabs his/her wrist as an aura of chakra forms around the arm. The user then uses lightning to spiral around his/ arm as well. The user slams his hand into the enemy's body as a blast of pure chakra endowed with lightning erupts from the victim's body. .
Limit: Excellent chakra control is a must. Must know lightning release.

Now that Kotetsu had learned to properly manipulate his chakra he decided to move on to the hard stuff. This next one would be a very difficult technique to learn properly and it would probably take him quite a bit of training. The first step you be to get the control part down, the attack required him to first focus both chakra and electricity around his fist and then make a forceful attack against an opponent. Before he could make the attack though he had to manage to focus his chakra properly around his hand.

Kotetsu formed the some what long serious of handseals needed for the technique and grabbed hold of his wrist. The chakra flowed out of his body and began to circulate around his arm, slight sparks were visible as well. He began to lift his arm and prepared to lunge out at the nearest tree but with in a few short moments the chakra and electricity had disperesed and the jutsu had failed.

Kotetsu shook his arm to shake off the feeling of numbness that had taken over his nerves, a few attempts of this technique and his arm would be fried this wasn't something he could practice for an extended time period. He figured it best to make use of the time he had before his arm gave out for the time being, he quickly formed the required hand seals and dropped his right arm while grabbing his wrist with his left hand. Kotetsu closed to his eyes to increase his focus, he could tell the chakra was swirling around his arm as he could feel it.

The feeling in his arm began to fade but he continued anyway, the electricity then began to kick in until the chakra and lightning together swirled steadily around his arm. Once the chakra and lightning had stopped spreading and now remained in a steady circulation around his arm he lifted his arm and lashed out at the nearest tree again, as soon as he punched before his fist even reached the tree the jutsu had ceased to exist. His fist slammed in to the tree but he could barely tell because the feeling in his arm was still slacking greatly.

Kotetsu had an idea, he slowly unwrapped the bandaging from his left hand and wrapped it around his right hand being sure to cover the areas that were not already covered by the bandages that were already on his right hand, this would atleast offer his hand some protection from the rough mix of chakra and lightning. Having finished wrapping his hand he made some hand seals and dropped his arm, taking hold of it with the other.

Kotetsu switched all of his focus in to manipulating his chakra around his arm to create lightning but still keep a sufficient supply of loose and unconverted chakra around his arm to successfully perform the technique. He put everything he had in to it but before he could even manage to complete the first part his entire arm seized up in pain, he had over exerted the muscle by using too much chakra and straining it to hard. The technique immediately vanished from existence and Kotetsu was left with no more than a searing pain in his arm. He dropped to the ground underneath a tree with his right arm propped up on his gourd. Kotetsu decided to stay there for a little while so that his arm could recover a bit.

Kotetsu woke up, his arm feeling slightly better but there was still a slight numbing sensation in his joints. He stood up and picked up his gourd, in his time off from training he had thought about a few things and decided it best if he did not stay here, he needed to find a nation where there were no shinobi villages to train in so that he would be safer. Problem was that most of the nations around here knew who he was, except the tea nation that was his only option for now.

Kotetsu had not travelled far from the border of the Grass nation so the trip in to fire would not be the least bit difficult but then from fire to tea after that would be a bit lengthy. He threw the gourd over his shoulder and began to walk off to the south east in the general direction of the tea nation. After a few minutes of walking he crossed the border of grass and fire meaning he was now officially in the fire nation.

Kotetsu emerged from a group of trees in to the fire nation, he checked his map to make sure he was on the right course and continued on. The sun was directly over head meaning it was around noon, if he travelled straight through the night he might be able to make it in to tea by noon tomorrow. Kotetsu picked up the pace and broke out in to a spring makking sure to hold on to the strap of his gourd and keep it from falling.

As he ran he passed the out post that he had ran past on the way to grass. He moved with hurried foot steps, he wanted to get to tea as fast as he could so that he could resume his training. Time passed quickly while he made his way through trees and bushes, across fields and over hills, by the time he stopped to check his map again the sun was already beginning to set.

The map indicated he had to start heading slightly more south ward then he was at the moment, if he continued straight he would just run in to a coast line. He changed his headings to the south and continued on, with in about an hour he had reached a stretch of coast that continued on farther than his eyes could possibly see, some where down this coast was the border to the tea country.

Kotetsu travelled down the coast all through the night, not taking the time to stop and before he knew it the sun was rising over the horizon and casting it's warm glow across the surface of the undisturbed and peaceful water. By this point he could see the area that was supposed to be the border to the tea country where he was supposed to be headed.

Slowing down, Kotetsu began to think about what his actual plan was... nothing. He did not have a clue in the world what it was he was trying to do here other than gain power, there must be some reason why he wanted power so badly but he just could not figure out what it was. His mind had drifted away and before he even realized he was at the border to the tea country. His long journey had come to an end for a bit longer.

Kotetsu decided to go off and look around tea for a while, take in the sites, see what there was to see, and maybe even find a decent hiding place. With this intention in mind he walked ff om tp the tea nation.
