Arriving in the park, Matsu would now set about the final task that he was required to do to have the missions for the Chuunin exams done. A shovel and a bag of seeds in hand, Matsu would prepare for an entire day full of planting, digging, and watering. Although this task would normally take longer, there was always a way to make these sorts of things go faster. Making a series of hand seals, Matsu would once again bring in his three Wood clones so that he could get to work. Handing one of them the shovel, Matsu would point to an area for him to begin digging several holes. The other clones would reach into the bag of seeds he had brought with him, taking a decent handful so that he could also go on his way with planting things.
The three clones would move off as a unit while he himself would simply crouch down and start digging holes with his hands. With each hole he dug he would sow a new seed and gentle cover the hole with the fresh earth that he had just uncovered. The mission was rather simple, he wanted to take on something more exciting later on when he had the time but for now he had to do what he had to do. On and on he repeated the same process, soon becoming covered in dirt and sweat. Underneath his figner nails were completely grimey. The hot sun bore down upon him as he did this task, it reminded him of the time that he and Zane had to plant all of the trees for the yard at home.
When they had done this for his home, they had taken hours to do this, the two of them playing around more then anything. It had been quite sometime since he had seen Zane, he figured that he must have been up to something quite important if he had not been around much. His hands would scoop down into the dirt once more as he dug a decent sized hole to place a seed into. In this hole he placed a seed that would grow a large and beautiful rose bush, making sure to take extra care for this one. This was one of his favorite plants, he had to make sure that he could come back and it would be here in a few months. That was the one thing he hated the most about gardening, it took awhile to yield the results of your labor.
Looking over to his clones he could tell that they were doing it much faster and easier then he was. He had decided not to do it the easy way and gave them the shovel for a reason, it would increase his physical endurance for the exams if he did it this way. Mind back on his work, he would begin to plant seeds once more. So much sweat was running down his body and in his palms that he was sure that he would be able to grow the seeds in his hand at the moment. Thinking on that one he gave a short laugh at the thought of hundreds of little bushes sprouting from his hand and making him like a human chia pet.
Hours later he would have planted the entire field in vegetation, the emptiness simply would not do. Once done he would make some hand seals and begin to spread water about using the Teppodama technique, his water balls splashng all over the ground. Looking over he could see that his clones were also nearing a finish on the other half of the field. Somehow he had managed to finish before them all alone and without the use of a shovel. Perhaps it was because he had the ability to zone out while he worked, making things seem as if they were not taking as long as they originally were.
Walking over to the clones he would take he shovel from the one that held it and trade it for the seeds. He would then continue to dig holes so that they could follow behind him and throw seeds into them. Once that was done he would go back over these holes that he had dug and fill them in with the fresh over turned earth. Pointing to one of the clones, it would make hand seals and use the Teppodama technique to spread water across these trenches, that would do it for now. They had finished planting a field of rose bushes, and flowers. With that he would undo the clone technique that he had done. It was now time to head home, this should be enough to get him his completion.
