Krav Maga Attitude
Rank: E
Skill: Taijutsu - Knowledge
Effect: Increases the users ability to dodge and counter depending on rank of technique.
E - Increases the chance that a user can dodge and counter an opponents attack by 5%
Special: None
Drawback: None
Description: Proper mental attitude is of primary importance in the Krav Maga's ability to strike an opponent. In hand-to-hand combat, the Krav Maga must have the attitude that he will defeat the enemy and complete the mission, no matter what. In a fight to the death, the Krav Maga user must have the frame of mind to survive above all else; the prospect of losing cannot enter his mind. He must commit himself to hit the opponent continuously with whatever it takes to drive him to the ground or end his resistance. A memory aid is, “Thump him and dump him!”
Limit: Must be Yellow Belt Krav Maga
----------------------------------------------
"Thump him... and... dump him?" Raikou asked himself as he walked away from Master Sho's Dojo. He had just had his next lesson on Krav Maga, the new fighting style Talia Inusuka, the girl he had met, forced him to learn. Master Sho had told him any great Krav Maga fighter had that attitude and wasn't afraid to knock the guy's lights out as efficiently as possible... even if it meant turning the person's own attack against them to hit a nerve or pressure point that sent him or her packing... or even biting the dust. Raikou shivered. Could he really do it? Of course, there would have to be disgression between when to use this attitude, but even so... just aquiring it for his enemies would be hard enough.
Aya looked up at Raikou and noted his down trodden face. She gave a bark and wagged her tail. Raikou looked down and smiled. He knew what she was trying to say... or... he THOUGHT he knew. "Thanks girl." He stared off into his own thoughts again. Could he really do this? Or was he just not cut out to be taught from a master after all? When would he ever want to cause someone so much pain that he would do whatever it took to win a fight? but... didn't you do whatever it took to win that fight against Yin? a small voice in the back of Raikou's head asked. Raikou frowned. He had, he had used the 'cheap shot' move he had learned and won the match, however, he might have caused Yin a lot of pain... there's a reason they called it '1000 years of falsetto'...
He sighed and sat down once they reached their training spot. He had learned so much, but was this the end of all his learning?
"I can't use this mindframe to win all my fights... what if I face someone I care about?" Raikou asked himself. "Well... I guess then you could use this to do as little damage as possible while still winning the fight, but then how would you know how much damage you were doing?" Raikou shook his head. "I guess you wouldn't, but the fight would be over quickly so the number of injuries would be minimal." Raikou couldn't argue with himself on that point. It made sense, if his friend wasn't able to fight, then how could they end up injuring each other? "And just think if one of your friends were in danger... then you could use this to quickly eliminate the threat. This is a win-win fighting style that is able to use your opponents moves against them. If you master the fighting attitude, there's no limit to what you can do to block the other person's taijutsu and use it against them! And if you pair this with your Four Legs Technique, you can certainly end it quite quickly!" Raikou remembered what Yin had used. A vein had popped out in his head and Raikou had the strangest feeling that he should run away... It wasn't every day that such a feeling came over him, but it had and he had used some jutsu afterwards that probably could have taken him out very quickly... Just what was that? Raikou remembered the talk he had during the Goken Lesson. Master Sho had said something about the 'Eight Gates'... had that been what Yin had used? What were the Eight Gates? All Sho had gone into was the principal of the Krav Maga Fighting Style and some moves from both the Krav Maga and Goken. Sho had found it strange that Raikou had already known some Goken, but once Raikou told him his father had taught it to him, it seemed to make more sense to Sho.
Raikou swollowed and nodded his head. "It's decided. I will use the attitude to protect my friends, I will not just use this to harm others, but to protect them as well... Good or Evil, it doesn't matter, I will end fights quicker and will fight with the intent of using my skills to save those I hold dear as well as dispatch those who wish to hurt those I hold dear. That is my vow! That is my ninja way!"
