Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu)

Effect: The Kage Bushin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu) is a increased and stronger form of the Regular Bushin jutsu which is a meer Genjutsu. Kage Bushin allows the clones to actually inflict damage upon the opponent, They can even use jutsu for they carry their own chakra circulatory system making it even impossible for the Hyuuga clan members to tell them apart from the original. Each clone that the user makes divides his.her chakra up evenly between them making ten clones means each clone has one tenth the original users chakra supply. The clones are real enough they even bleed when cut but when inflicted with enough damage the clone disappears.
Special: A special Handsign where the user crosses the two first fingers of each hand making a cross.
Drawback: The average user can only make about 5 clones. Excessive use of the Clone jutsu can leave the use extremely low on chakra. When the clones are destroyed the user does not get a return in charka.
Description: The Kage Bushin is an Exact Replica of the user and can not in anyway be proven to be a copy not even by the most elite of jutsu. Unless taken to the test and actually harmed.
Limit: Must be an ANBU. Must be Chuunin in order to get this technique. Kage only is capable of allowing someone to learn.

Post 1 - The Seal, The Theory, and General Understanding

As she began to walk through what seemed like a secret passageway, she began to recall something she was doing in her office the other day. She had started reading through the scrolls peacefully in her office. She wanted to organize all the ANBU Divisions scrolls as well as the village jutsu. As far as the Mizukage was concerned, there was just too many divisons and jutsu accompanying them. The scrolls definitely needed to be organized but just as she was wrapping up her notes, she found a particular jutsu of interest. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu..." she said to herself as she began reading over the jutsu carefully. "So there's a technique that surpasses the clone jutsu, my favourite jutsu at that." Hearing no knocks at her door, she continued reading the scroll. Thinking back on that day she decided it was time to put that reading into practice. The tunnel she walked through was rather dark and eerie. A few torches guided the way, albeit sparse. "Secretive much...?" she wondered aloud but no sooner did she reach the hidden room. It looked quite cozy albeit needing a bit of clean up. Resting her things down, she'd open the safe and grab the Kage Bunshin portion of the scroll, she needed to re-read the scroll as it was. Once she was sure she had it memorized she'd start with the basics. Kage Bunshin no jutsu had a unique seal and she began to practice this very seal.Each time she did the seal, she inspected to make sure she held the proper form. She wanted this to become second nature because this felt like a jutsu that would really help in a pinch. One, two, three; she finally got down the basics of the seal. Next was to identify the theory behind the jutsu, she began to analyze it carefully within her mind. "Alright the goal of this jutsu is to create real clones of flesh and blood. To do this, a portion of my chakra is split in order to create the clone(s) necessary. An example of this would be Mushrooms and the use of spores. A tiny portion of the life essence goes out with the spores and allows for more mushrooms to grow." She thought to herself before she performed the basic bunshin to use as a base.

"In this way, the jutsu is definitely the successor to Bunshin no jutsu. The basic mechanics are the same." She then dispelled the clone and began to channel the chakra needed. She was heavily efficient for someone who wasn't a medic. With the chakra portion in place, she crossed her index and middle finger from both hands forming the cross shaped seal. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She declared and just as planned, one shadow clone was formed. She couldn't help but look at her clone quizzically. "Please don't look at me like that, it's...inpolite." The clone spoke! Hinagiku couldn't help but jump back in complete shock. "Wait so then, you guys have a conscious..." Once more the clone looked rather insulted. She had crossed her arms and looked away with a pout. "I'm sorry other me, I'm just trying to get an understanding of this jutsu." Considering they were the same person, the apology was accepted and no sooner did the clone reach out to take Hinagiku's hand. "I'm definitely real Hina-chan, I've got enough chakra to perform some jutsu as well." Releasing Hinagiku's hand the clone backed up and began to crouch down. "Shadow Possession jutsu." It declared and no sooner was the shadow extending outwards to grasp Hinagiku. Jumping out of instinct, the clones shadow retracted as a smirk was held on its face.

"So everything listed makes sense then." Hinagiku mused to herself but there must be some more secrets to the Shadow Clone. For one thing, she noticed they didn't share the same thoughts or anything. "Wait a second, what happens if you disappear?" Hinagiku questioned and the clone seemed to ponder. After a brief moment, it held the same hand seal as it it was going to make more shadow clones. Instead to Hinagiku's surprise it disappeared. The look on her face seemed to be that of a light bulb going off. For some reason she knew that a torch was dimming behind her. Yet she wasn't focusing on Byakugan at all. This required further experimentation and understanding and no sooner did she perform the jutsu again. A new clone came to mind and instead of talking to Hinagiku it ran off to the dark hallway. Moments later, it too would release itself and Hinagiku learned that one of the torches near the entrance had went out. "So when a clone disappears it transfers it's memory to me, that's really useful. Also I can pre-assign actions just like I would when I use the clone jutsu. Once created though my control of the clones isn't as solid. Everything is done before and after they disappear." She confirmed to herself.

There was some more tests that she would need to run before she felt satisfied in her base knowledge. It was all about basic control and she needed to put her theory to the test. Forming another clone, she thought of specific instructions to perform upon creation. The first would be to follow her in a quick sprint, the second would be to transform into her father while doing so. Once the clone was made, sure enough she began to take off in a jog. Likewise her clone followed and had performed the Transformation jutsu. "Well, that worked out just as planned." There was still one thing she didn't know. How long did they last and how much damage could they take? Stopping in a skidding halt, she faced her clone and began to poke it. "What are you doing, Hina?" the clone would say in her father's voice. "Testing durability hold still, this is going to hurt." No sooner did she make a quick jab to the clone's neck. That certainly damaged it and it was a critical attack, so the puff shouldn't have come as a surprise. Yet it was a surprise and Hinagiku had jumped back slightly.

"So a critical hit and they're gone, best to work on my evasion if I really want to put this jutsu to use." Hinagiku spoke aloud once more. Performing one more shadow clone, the two would begin to spar with basic Jyuuken mechanics. Mild hits were done, nothing serious and some good clashes were performed. Of course since they were the same person, reading each other's moves wouldn't be that difficult even if it did look cool. Eventually with a harder strike, Hinagiku got the upperhand and this last clone would dispurse into a cloud of smoke. This confirmed the durability test of these clones but now something else came to her. She winced a bit, these clones took their toll on chakra. She'd have to rest up for a bit and perhaps make the place more comfortable before she continued on with the jutsu in question.

Post 2 - Performance of Many

Once she had rested up and sorted out the place, she was ready to contine her experimentation. It would begin with quanity this time. She wanted to see how many clones she could make at once and the chakra toll for doing so. She began with forming one shadow clone, just as she did in her initial experiment. This clone would then perform the shadow clone jutsu again, forming two clones. Each shadow clone would try again. Now there were ten Hinagiku in the room, excluding herself. "Alright girls, attack each other." Hinagiku ordered and no sooner did a quick skirmish ensue. Hinagiku at this time activated her Byakugan and that's when she learned an interesting truth concerning her own eyes. "I-I can't tell them apart!" She was surprised but then another discovery would come as she looked into the clones carefully. "Well, that's actually not true...these clones have less chakra than my first clone. They all seem fairly low on reserves, even then...that's nothing definitive." She noted with a bit of a sigh.

So each clone would take a portion of the chakra supply of the user in order to become flesh and blood. Depending on how much chakra they got, they could perform jutsu up to a certain amount. Hinagiku was taking some good mental notes about all of this. She refrained from taking actual notes because this was a secret village jutsu after all. One by one each of the clones would dispurse leaving the original one that she created. It seemed rather tired, hinting at the taxing nature of the jutsu in question. Considering she felt her reserves were alright, she began to ponder if she should attempt to try it again and test her limits further. The problem with doing so was that it was quite risky, especially for someone of her rank. At the moment she only felt like Kage in mind, not in body. She began to contemplate but her body seemed way ahead of her. Arms keeping close to her sides, hands already moving to form the cross shaped seal. At that moment she created only one clone, which puzzled her. "I've got to be able to do more..." She pondered and no sooner did she attempt the jutsu once more.

This time she formed another clone now there was two of her, she was frowing because something didn't feel right. "Why are you performing the technique one at a time?" One of the clones asked. She raised her left eyebrow slightly. Admittedly, she wasn't sure how come she was at this...unusualy limit of hers. She began to wonder if she needed to review the basics once more. So, starting from scratch she proceeded to form the clone jutsu. She started with one clone then she created two at one time, then three at one time. "Well it works when I use the bunshin no jutsu." She frowned for a moment as she began to retrace the steps that she had just made. She began to recall that at the brief moment her chakra was channeled, she could feel a tingle indicating a small bit of chakra was ready for the clone. "If I can just concentrate on that feeling, I might just be able to get more."
No sooner did she perform the special seal, her chakra flowing through her body.

She began to concentrate on that slight tingling sensation. First she felt one jolt and she continued to hold the stance until she could feel a second jolt. Once she did, out of surprise she executed the shadow clone jutsu and created two clones instead of her usual one. Progress, at the very least and no sooner did she channel chakra throughout her body once more. She felt the first jolt, then began to focus again. The second jolt was soon to follow, this time she would remain focused. Then came the third jolt, she was beginning to feel a bit whoozy at this time but she pressed on. Soon came the fourth jolt, her breathing beginning to hasten some. Her eyelids closed as she gritted her teeth. Finally the fifth jolt would come and in haste, the jutsu was executed creating five shadow clones at once. She'd concentrated so much on creating more that these ones did not have any set instructions so they all stood around in a circle, wondering what to do and seemingly tired.

There was no way she could keep this up, she had just focused most of her energy on establishing a clear limit for herself. At best, she sat down with the others and began to review the jutsu from scratch. It was far from perfect and still not quite useable in combat situations. For one thing, if she needed to create more clones, the process she went through was too slow. In time, she'd be able to perform it swiftly but at the moment one was the best bet. She was hoping to begin some jutsu drills and experience the old saying: "Two heads are better than one" but the thought of using anymore chakra, well... it was out of the question. She'd have to rest up now, the basic theory behind the jutsu was understood. She'd learned the seal, her own limitations and --- the sound of the five clones dispursing served only as a reminder that she still had much more training into this jutsu to do. It was definitely a useful jutsu, some possible applications were surfacing into her mind. The next step would be jutsu combinations.

Post 3 - Integration, the art of application


She'd rested up now, there wasn't much time to sit around training after all. Within a few days she would prepare to meet with all those whom requested a meeting with her. In other words, she had a limited amount of time to make this jutsu work for her, the most important thing about this jutsu, in Hina's mind; utilizing support jutsu. Yes, the first thing she had in store for Shadow Clone jutsu was to utilize it with Shadow Possession jutsu. With a clone trapping her enemy before she went in for the kill; yes her heritage would finally be paying off. Leaning on the wall, she'd push off of it and take her position in the center of the room. Hands crossed forming the cross shape seal and a poof of smoke was made. In her mind she had concentrated on the creation of two shadow clones. The goal was to set up a two versus one spar.

One clone would focus on Shadow Possesion, the other simply attacking. Considering the circumstances of this little event; the real Hinagiku would be the one facing off against the clones. A slight smirk would grace her features now, her clones mimicking that same smirk. This was the beginning of something fun, something vital for the long haul.The three Hinagiku's would now split up to form a triangle formation. The real Hinagiku was the one at the lonely tip of the triangle, her back facing towards the entrance of the secret room. To her left and right sides respectively, were her two dopplegangers. "Let's begin." the real Hina-chan would proclaim and no sooner did the one on the right begin to crouch down whilst the other took on the basic Jyuuken stance. Of course she knew what both of them were doing, her thoughts were the ones implanted to the clones prior to creation.

The one on the right was going to attempt to bind her with shadow possesion, whilst the other striked with Jyuuken. The question was, how did they plan to catch their creator? Already the real Hinagiku began to hop from side to side, when she noticed the clone on the right had still remained crouching her eyes widened in shock. "I-it must be a clone..." she moved to look behind her, neither of them were there and yet...quickly she'd activate her Byakugan. She spotted the two clones within two completely different portions of the room. Worse yet, she couldn't tell which one would be performing the shadow possession and which one would be striking.

At the moment, the quick switch they played certainly reminded her that these two were indeed herself. Intelligent with a hint of deviousness, no sooner did she notice the tricklings of a shadow. Taking to the air, she'd attempt to track the one that performed the signature Nara clan ability. "Gotcha!" she'd yell out preparing to aim a Jyuuken strike at her opponent only to be knocked out of the air by the other Hinagiku. Sprawling towards the ground, she'd attempt to recover her placement by kneeling down on her right knee. Forming hand seals now, she'd attempt to fake one of them out by feigning the positioning of shadow possession jutsu and instead utilizing her genjutsu abilities.

Making sure she applied the principals that Tatsu taught her, she began to quickly focus on the link between herself and the clones. She performed the seals then headed in the typical rat seal common for Shadow Possession, though instead of her shadow stretching out, she quickly extended her right hand forward, aimed for the clones heads. Silently, chakra was sent from her hand and towards their head's. With the chakra flowing through their body now, they'd begin to see the real Hinagiku moving farther and farther away. The secret chamber seemed to grow further and further.

"Success." She whispered to herself, preparing for the next plan of action.

Before she could continue on with the next portion of her plan she felt a huge strain travel through her....she gripped her left shoulder momentarily, falling to one knee. No sooner would the clones disperse, the sudden shock caused her to collapse, she just needed a short rest...to push herself so far upon just getting back was a bit much. Thirty minutes later she was up, still feeling a bit weak. She'd been training so much, she never got to properly examine the room around her.

This place really was a secret area, as she trailed her hands along the walls, she'd soon begin to memorize the different secret hatches that revealed itself, in particular was one that fit that of a safe. Perfect! Hauling the safe into the secret wall, she'd make sure all it's contents were firmly placed. Once it was sealed away and the ability to access it was sound, she'd leave her secret sanctuary, back to the office to rest up and do some paper work.

Sector Seven Enter

The group made their way through the base, heading into the office in order to activate the secret passage. This place had been known as the Leader's Sanctuary and Hinagiku initially used this place to train as well as to keep the scrolls safe. It also turned out everyone else from Sector Seven had left their things here; ready to execute Hinagiku's orders, which if they knew the Mizukage well; would be to leave Kirigakure. Walking on her own, albeit in small steps she held onto the safe once more, her right hand entering the code to open it.

A familiar click would be heard thus revealing it's contents. The others made sure to properly equip; knowing the Docks well they would need to prepare their escape. Likewise they also had to be careful; if Hinagiku was to go into labour it would be that much more difficult to keep her safe---

"Everyone..."

Despite her hand grasping the contents inside, she felt something expecting mothers knew all too well; her water had snapped. Her expression seemed to tell all and Minnako would be by her side.

"Please lay down on the ground, though this isn't the best place for this to occur it could be worse." [/

Hinagiku nodded and rested everything down. Kaien would proceed to take care of the safe and it's contents allowing her hands to be free. Everyone else proceeded to help her lay down. Tensoku then proceeded to act as her pillow so that she'd be at least somewhat comfortable.

After that the riggorous trial known as 'labour' came upon them. Hinagiku attempted to be as calm as she could but the pain was rather hard to contain. She only wished that her King was at her side physically. At least he was in spirit or perhaps she only hallucinated when she saw his face. Yet after several hours and Minako's expert in medicine, the twins were born into the world. A good midwife always prepared for the worst as such Minnako had prepared stuff for both of them on her and additional stuff was left here for when they regrouped.

For now Hinagiku just wanted to hold onto her precious children, her eyes darted back and forth between both of them.

Unbeknowest of the terrible battle Kouketsu had fought, risking his life for the village, Hinagiku though becoming deeply attached to her children was reciting the instructions for her family within her mind. The smile that she had as she held both in their arms was mixed with saddness and joy. A part of her knew somehow that their father wouldn't be coming back to them physically. Though as she looked to them, she could see them reflecting his presence. To her left side was Odorishi and to her right was Mikuru. Each of them was peacefully sleeping after crying initially.

"Odorishi my son, I must have more courage to let you go even as my maternal instinct says no. Mommy will try to watch over you as much as she can somehow."

She then proceeded to kiss his forehead before being caught up in the memory of yesteryear. It was a familiar scene, them talking in the fields for hours and hours. They'd done this before, when they first proposed their love for each other and it seemed to become tradition. Even now she could not forget the look in his eyes when he saw her. His soft voice seemed to replay itself within her mind as he now spoke about his son:

"He shall be returned to our roots, my love. Much as a lion pushes its cub over a cliff, raising only those strong enough to climb back up, he shall spend his days within the confines of Konoha."

As the words came from his mouth she soon stated them for Sector Seven to hear. Perhaps it shouldn't have surprised her when Kaien offered his arms to take Odorishi at that moment. Though she remembered she had to be strong and gave him to the former ANBU Trainer without hesitation. Having listened to her words carefully, he would soon dispurse from the scene. There was no need to order him any further than that. Her eyes soon seemed to become lost, the memory continuing to play itself within her mind. She remembered laughing at first about the comment he made concerning their son but came to understand why he said such. It caused her to inquire about their daughter to which he replied:

"And as for our daughter, she shall stay nestled within your arms. Raise her to become a fine lioness, like her mother."

A tear streamed down her right cheek as she spoke the next line aloud. It wasn't one of saddness but that of joy. She wanted her little girl to become strong, to surpass her...a lionness wasn't enough. She wanted her to become a Lion too and so, she looked to Minnako and just like Kaien, she too extended her arm to take the babe from her.

"Please take her to the Kuroi Akumu Village. I have some connections there, simply show them this scroll. I'll catch up after I settle things in Moyoushi."

She then handed the scroll to Minnako also. She too didn't need anymore command before dispursing from the scene. All that remained was Matsuda and Tensoku, they would act as her guardians assisting her with leaving Mist. It would begin with a simple Henge, transforming into an ANBU just like the others. She'd then be carried by Matsuda and Tensoku would lead the way along with the items in their possession.
