Kaguya, Kuromaru heard the crunching of his own foot steps in the deep snow, as he made his way into the frozen forest. The genin was not properly dress for the whether, wearing his usual attire of a simple shirt, with a purple rope belt and a pair of black pants which were too short. His open toed shinobi sandals did not help either, exposing him to a whole new world of cold. Kuro did this on purpose, however, as a deterrent to make him concentrate harder in these difficult conditions. Plus, who doesn't like the collarless shirt look? He would have even unbuttoned his shirt a little if it was not 10 degrees below zero. Anyway, the genin crunched through the sand till he reached a spot he deemed appropriate. Kuro looked over the area with quiet, scanning eyes once more before sitting with his back to the nearest fir tree. This place would do.
As Kuro sat there, with one arm leaning on one leg and and his other arm resting at his side. The Snow genin allowed himself a moment to enjoy the beauty of the snow, a beauty and a terror which had the power to freeze his heart. Kuromaru smiled for a moment at the hale of white snow, before turning to the business at hand. He had come here to the freezing cold for peace, peace and quiet to start learning his medical ninjutsu. Yes, he was beginning the long journey towards finding a cure for his condition and becoming set in the medical arts. In the end, being a medic was always useful, but it was not the easiest thing to learn. This Kaguya, however, was up for the challenge and ready to work. So, he went to work.
Kuro stood himself up from his semi comfortable sitting position and began to look for a suitable target to practice on. He managed to find a piece of the forest which seemed decimated, covered with many a fallen tree. Kuromaru chose to work on one of the few trees that was still standing in the area, a tall fur. He stood in front of this fur, and decided upon the jutsu to practice first. He would start from the most basic jutsu: Gantai no Jutsu or Bandage Technique. It allowed for him to make a bandage from any type of material, and this bandage would hold without chakra. A nifty little jutsu for sure, but nothing to advance. Kuromaru decided that he would make the bandage from snow, seeing that it was the most abundant material there. After getting a decent amount of snow in his hand, Kuromaru went to work.
Kuro quietly tapped into his chakra reserves, and managed to increase the production of chakra. This increase gave the Kaguya extra energy, and gave his jutsu life. The snow in his hand lightly began to glow as Kuro stretched it out, as if it was plastic. Kuro felt over the snow with an interest hand for a moment, before wrapping the bandage around the center of the tree, like a bandage. The snow, however, seemed flawed in some way as it broke apart when applied to the tree. The Snow ninja was rather surprised, as he expected the bandage to hold. Kuro watched the remains of the former bandage for a moment, before moving on. He needed to identify what he did wrong to improve it and make the next bandage work.
The ninja sat himself down onto the snow, as he closed hsi eyes away from everything. Kuromaru attempted to keep thing cool and calm inside of himself, were he would dissect what had gone wrong during his previous attempt. It was not like meditation, more like a prolonged sigh. Anyway, a few idea's popped up into the genin's head at what he'll needed to be worked on. He needed to use a greater amount of chakra to solidify the bandage and make it stay on. This chakra also had to be applied correctly, to make sure that the strap was correctly made and could be used to it's full capacity. The Kaguya opened his eyes rather slowly and nodded to nobody in particular. He would do whatever was needed to get this technique down.
So, Kuromaru went to work once more, as he picked up some snow with his hands. He held this snow, which was pure white, and began to direct his chakra into it. Once he thought that enough chakra was loaded into it, Kuro attempted to stretch the snow out, like a bandage. The sound responded well to his stretching, and was apparently usable. Kuro decided to put it to the test by wrapping the snow around the tree. Once he was finished wrapping, Kuro waited for the snow to fall. But, it didn't. I held onto the tree tightly, without chakra, like a real bandage. He had done it! The genin unwrapped the snow from the tree and felt it over. It was defiantly good, thought the Kaguya to himself. Kuro allowed a rather small smile to trickle across his face as he looked at the bandage. This was his first step to being a medic!
