Whip Flick
Rank: D
Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: A set of up to five wrist movements that change the whip's target point.
Special: Taijutsu move
Drawback: If the shinobi messes up the wrist movements, then the whip can flail about randomly, missing the target completely.
Description: This is a simple set of wrist movements that are performed as the whip is already moving outwards towards the opponent. The movement of the wrist causes the whip's cord to move about, changing the location as to where the whip will actually land. With proper training, the shinobi can come to understand that exact way the whip will respond to the movement of the wrist and as such can surprise the enemy by hitting them where they thought they would block or dodge.
Limit: Must have a whip.

When both brothers decided to it was time to take their place in the world, Tetsuo ventured back to his forest where he had not trained since his brother, Kaito, had taken him under his wing. Back in this place of so many memories, he began training with his whip, a skill he neglected over recent years. Picking a tree he cast it out, aiming for its center. Realizing this was to straight forward of an attack, Tetsuo decided to try moving his wrist around to change the point where the whip would connect with the tree. Unfortunately, this only caused his whip to flail uselessly and miss entirely and completely.
Disappointed but not ready to give up, he tried again. This time moving his wrist first in one direction then another; this time he hit a tree but not the one he wanted too. The tree he had wanted to hit was three feet to the left from the one he wanted. Trying again, Tetsuo just watched the way his whip reacted to his movements. Studying this movement, Tetsuo figured out that depending on how he moved his wrist and how much strength he placed behind it, the whip would flail either a lot or a little. After a constant study of this for about an hour, Tetsuo decided it was time to return home to ponder on what he had learned.
The next day, Tetsuo returned to the forest to put what he had learned into practice. Starting again by picking a tree, Tetsuo cast his whip towards it. Now timing his movement and considering his strength behind the flail of the whip, Tetsuo hit the tree only slightly off center from where he wanted. This was a tremendous improvement from the day before. Continuing along this path, Tetsuo tried again to change the point of contact on the tree in the direct center. But again, the hit was just off from his target point. Thinking on what he might be doing wrong, Tetsuo decided to change the point he was aiming at in his head before he moved his wrist. Tetsuo’s whip hit right where he wanted it.
At this vast improvement, Tetsuo showed a rare but eager smile. This was something special, something which he had not done in a long time. It was a good start, but not quite good enough for him. He continued his practice consistently, only leaving time to sleep and eat. Soon he was able to move the whip three different ways in fluent motions and change where it hit just as many. This was better, but still not good enough. He agree with himself to keep working for another hour. By the end of that hour he could place the whip strike anywhere on the tree he wanted to.
Finally reaching the goal that Tetsuo placed before himself, he thought it best to call it a day. He was pretty hungry by then, and not to mention just plain exhausted. Tetsuo went home that night, and lay in bed just to think about what lie ahead and the other things that would soon be learned.
