Kaze Ya no Jutsu (Wind Arrow Technique)
Rank: "D"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: User is capable of breathing inwards and exerting outwards a large like arrow to pierce into the opponent's body.
Special: User takes in a deep breath filling their lungs with air.
Drawback: Only one may be created at a time.
Description: The user molds chakra and breathes in. He or she then blows out and an arrow made of wind is shot from the user’s mouth. This arrow may be blocked as it is just a large consumption of wind; however it cannot be deflected away. This means that the object must be large in size enough to defend from one against the wind. The size of the arrow is the size of the opponent's mouth with the length of three feet as it can travel up to the distance of twenty meters. This technique is used for short range to steer an opponent away from the user.
Limit: Must have the Wind Release

4 Years back
Chiaki did not want to be late for today’s training. She had been late too many times this past week and she sensed that Yarimura Sensei was losing his patience. She couldn’t help it. Her studies were keeping her occupied at night; she was constantly learning new medicines and herbal concoctions and during the day she was devoted to learning new techniques. She had no time for herself and she often overslept from sheer exhaustion. “Not today.” she thought. “Today, I am going to surprise Sensei and show up on time.”
Chiaki kept her word and she showed up for training at exactly 6:00am. “I bet Sensei is not even here yet.” she mumbled to herself. “Of course I am young one.” Sensei once again startled her and came out of nowhere like an apparition. “Aargh, I can never win!” she said. “My policy is: if you are on time, you are late; if you are five minutes early, you are on time.” Yarimura Sensei replied. Chiaki was visibly distraught.
“You must learn to control your stress. I often find taking a moment to just take a deep breath, soothes me to no end.” Sensei spoke wisely. After he uttered those words, Yarimura Sensei closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He held it for moment and everything was calm. Then, all of sudden, Sensei released his breath and with it came a mighty force in the shape of what appeared to be an arrow. The wind arrow shot off like rocket nearly knocking Chiaki to the ground.
The arrow raced past her and struck a cherry tree directly behind her and with a loud crash; the cherry tree was split in two. Chiaki turned to face her Sensei stunned and with her hair blown to a mess. “Today, we study Kaze Ya no Jutsu (Wind Arrow Technique)” spoke Yarimura grinning.
Chiaki was now ready to learn. She gave her Sensei all her attention as he began to instruct her on how to harness the Wind Arrow Technique. “Breathing is essential to summoning chakra at any time. You have used breathing techniques to channel your chakra to do your bidding. Now, you will use your chakra to control your breath.” Sensei lectured. “Breathing and chakra are fundamentally linked. As you draw your breath in and fill your lungs, let your chakra will build up and swarm around your breath. When you feel your chakra and breath become one, then you release your breath and let your chakra force your arrow to your intended target.”
Chiaki began to draw her breath inward; she held it and could feel her chakra build around her lungs. “Can you feel it?” Sensei asked. She nodded. “Now face the next cherry tree and release!” Chiaki’s wind arrow was puny in size compared to Yarimura Sensei’s but the velocity was just as strong. The arrow raced across the yard and crashed into the cherry tree. Her arrow did not split the tree but it knocked it over with ease.
“I like this technique!” Chiaki spoke giggling, “It tickles my mouth as it comes out.” Sensei could only smile at his young prodigy; he doted on her like a daughter. “The more you practice, the more you will be able to make your wind arrow stronger and even summon it faster.” Sensei guided her. She practiced on bushes, rocks, and trees. Her wind arrow gradually got stronger and faster.
Chiaki was always a quick learner and Yarimura Sensei decided it was time to raise the stakes. “Now young one, let’s see how you do with a live, moving target.” Sensei grabbed his ink bottle and quickly harnessed his chakra and executed the proper hand seals and within a few seconds, five perfect ink clones were created in his likeness. The clones moved to different positions and started to surround Chiaki. “Now young one, use your new technique!”
Chiaki at first was nervous and she rushed her first wind arrow. She did not channel her chakra sufficiently and released it too soon. The arrow shot at the nearest opponent and it only pushed it back a few steps. “Concentrate!” Sensei yelled. The ink clones moved in closer. She drew her breath in and felt the chakra well up inside her. She opened her mouth and hurled her arrow at Sensei’s ink clone.
It immediately burst like a bubble. The impact was not enough to stop the arrow and it just so happen to be another ink clone a few paces behind and it too was destroyed with a loud splash from the same arrow. Chiaki then did a giant back flip to give her space to attack the remaining three clones. She filled her lungs with air and shot her projectiles one by one until all the ink clones met their end.
“Give me more Sensei. I could do this all day.” she said giggling since the wind arrows tickled her so. “I bet you could.” he replied. “Know that this technique requires space. It will always take a moment to summon the Kaze Ya no Jutsu. The more you use this technique, the easier it will become.” Chiaki nodded in respect and could not wait to keep practicing. She often thought of how she would like to use this technique on some of her school masters for giving her so much homework. Nevertheless, she knew one day she would have to use this technique in a real fight, and she was looking forward to it.
