Gets me training everytime!
Fresh from a teaching job, Matsu trudged onto an open grass field as he prepared to learn a new technique that would compliment some of his old ones. Focusing his chakra Matsu started to force vines to come up from the ground, but in combonation he started working in the new justu. The vines that were normally a green color were now a faint brown, the poisonues property of them did not seem to be quite as strong as he would have hoped. Now came the test, taking a small surface made of glass from his pocket he let a drop of the liquid the vines produced drop onto it. He then placed an Ant into the liquid and watched it swim for almost twenty minutes before it died. This was an indication that he indeed needed more practice.
Matsu made the serpent hand seal and summoned some new vines, using the poisonus addition to try and make them into something a little more poisonus, he new it was foolish to try for something big so soon into training a new justu. The ground opened a little as two thick roots slowly crept from the ground. These ones also held the same brown color except they were just a shade darker. "Intriging." said Matsu as he collected a spider from a nearby blade of grass. He then collected a sample of the liquid from the plant and placed it in the little droplet that he collected. The spider took almost a full 15 minutes to die, however that was less time then the ant. Perhaps it was getting stronger...who knew.
The field was starting to look like a small jungle by now, he had spent the last ten minutes summoning vines all around him. This mini forest was a sickly color but his latest creation had a weird purple coloration. The poisonus liquid dripping from this new creation also held a foul odor, he was definitely onto something. However from what he had heard of this justu it was suppose to be alluring, all of his creations were hideously repulsive and made him want to cringe. Perhaps it was his chakra focus? Oh well practice makes perfect. Once more he scooped up a spider fromt he grass and placed it now into this foul smelling substance. It immediately began to writhe in what seemed like pain before it stopped ten minutes later. "Closer." he thought as he went about preparations for the next test.
This next attempt produced way better results then the last. When he pushed some vines up out of the ground not only were they an unhealthy purple color, but they also smelled absoluetly weird which could attract someone who was curious as to what it was. It also had many pretty flowers budding along it to make it seem less harmless then it really was. This time he did not even have to collect a bug to test it. The smell alone seemed to attract several to the vines. As they scurried up the vine they began to convulse and fall to the ground. Matsu's face turned up into a smile. He had managed to create something that not only lured his test subjects but killed now in less then five minutes on smaller creatures. On a human he had no idea, nor did he really ever wish to find out.
