Gantai no Jutsu (Bandage Technique)
Rank: D
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a bandage out of surrounding materials.
Special: --
Drawback: Requires concentration in order to make larger bandages. Requires some sort of material.
Description: The user focuses chakra into a nearby material, such as sand, grass, or even water, forming it into an adhesive, sterile strip that’s reminiscent of a bandage. Once formed and applied, the makeshift bandage will remain without chakra input.
Limit: Must be a medic.

[Lugging Satsugai all the way back to his small apartment, Akuryou dumped him unceremoniously on the bed. Looking at the figure, he noted how life like and life less it looked, both at the same time. Marionettes really were fascinating things, even if it was on a superficial level. Why, after all, do most people create them in a humanoid form? Was it to feel connected to the puppet itself? Or merely because anything else would just be awkward. The psychology of a puppeteer was almost fascinating-

For everyone but Akuryou. Blunt and to the point, he had no need for any of that nonsense. He used puppets because he was good with puppets, plain and simple. But there was something else he had a hidden knack for, something he'd not developed other than theory. Medical techniques.

The only problem with training medical techniques was that the only real way to practice them was on a wounded creature. Normally, animals would be used but Akuryou, the impatient fool, had no time for that - which is where his idea first came from. Using one hand, he sent his chaka strings onto Satsugai and made it sit up with the puppets left arm extended. With a twitch, the blade popped out and into place, open for all to see and it's edge razor sharp.

Can only learn by doing after all mumbled Akuryou as he rolled up the sleeve on his left hand arm. Hovering the naked skin of the upturned forearm just above it, he winced slightly as he ran the arm across the blades edge, slicing at his own skin. Letting the puppet drop back down, he released the Kugutsu no Jutsu and began to inspect the wound.

The bleeding was steady. Co-agulation wouldn't begin yet, not for another few minutes - Akuryou had accidently cut deeper than he intended. Nothing that would cause long term issues however, but perfect for his training. Strolling to the window, he opened them up roughly and inspected something on his windowsil - a plantbox. There were a few flowering weeds in there, but nothing he cared for, except for one large piece of grass. Easily an inch wide, he ripped it a the bottom and closed the windows again, uninviting the cold breeze.

Back at his table, he began to inspect the leaf. It was healthy, strong, and capable of being tugged without snapping but constant pressure it would falter to. Laying it down flat, he placed his hands together and prepared himself for the utilisation of chakra, beginning to feel the familiar force gather in his gut and his hands. Making a set of seals he had remembered from a while back, he held the final one intact whilst sending all of the processed chakra to his hands, causing a faint blue etheral glow. Once enough had accumulated, he held a hand to the leaf and allowed the chakra to wash over it.

What happened next was most peculiar. The chakra took to the leaf like it was a new skin, coating it and making it appear to glow. Unsure, he hesitated before applying it to his arm but after a moment of deliberation and procrastination, he lay the arm upon the leaf. Wrapping the ends around his arm, he didn't even need to tie it off as he could feel the chakra tugging at his skin. The makeshift bandage was complete.

Holding up his arm an inspecting his work, he scratched at his chin. That should be enough for now, he thought as he remembered his arm, but perhaps another such technique would help heal it quicker. He sat back at his tables chair, casting his mind back to any such technique in memory.]

Ketsuki Gyouku (Blood Coagulation)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Stops blood flow from injuries through clotting.
Special: --
Drawback: Large wounds can take a long time to stop the blood flow from.
Description: The user focuses chakra around their hands, creating a faint white glow around their hands. The user then places their hands on the wound, focusing chakra into the blood and coagulating it. Minor wounds take three movements to clot, whilst major ones require six movements, and critical injuries, such as a severed limb, requires nine movements to clot. For every rank above D you possess of this technique, remove one movement from the coagulation, to a minimum of one. For every difficulty rank above D you possess, remove one movement from the process.
Limit: Must be a medic.

[Sitting back, Akuryous mind started to shoot blanks. There were a million and one things he knew in theory, but not in practice - what was there to choose next? Scratching his chin like some off-hand mannerism, he went to place both hands behind his head, when he stopped. Something had twanged and caused him pain as he had went to move his left arm, and upon closer inspection blood could be seen dripping out from underneath the makeshift bandage.

Shit he grumbled, placing a hand to the wound and applying pressure. He must've nicked a vein or artery in his arm he realised, the blood was coming out pretty fast. Not fast enough to be lethal yet, but enough to warrant a small alarm bell labelled "PANIC" in his head to start ringing. He needed to stop his bleeding soon before it got out of control. His choice of what technique to learn was suddenly decided for him.

Quick as he could, he put his hands together and began focusing chakra in a high concentration about them. Accutely aware of the reduced amount of blood in his system, he could feel a headache coming on and numbness in the tips of his fingers. Growling a little under his breath out of focus, he quickly withdrew his hand and placed it upon the cut, on top of the bandage. Concentrating with his chakra (A task he was subjected to every day with his Kugutsu), he felt the refined force begin to knead his cells back together. It wasn't much of a feeling - more like the sense of how it feels when a wound has scabbed over and you start picking at it.

It was simple enough, but he held his hand there concentrating till it was practically overdone, just incase. When satisfied, he peeled off the bandage slowly and, lo and behold, a great big line of coagulated blood had formed. It had done the ticket alright, and he wasn't at risk of dying or passing out anymore, but it was too close a call. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to test his medical ninjutsu on his own body after all.

Now noticing the pools of blood he'd left, he knew he now had something to clean up. What a nuisance. At first he thought about using Satsugai to clean up but that would have been a bad idea - plus, he didn't want to destroy anything else. Pushing his chair back, he made to stand up and grab a rag from the sink to clean it up with, when he slipped. Foot screeching on the floor, he hadn't seen the small mass of crimson at his heels and it's slippery cold substance made his already dizzy footing even more unsteady. His left foot flew behind him as his body weight was thrown forwards and with a tremendous "SMACK", Akuryou's forehead came crashing down against the edge of the table. His forehead protector would have been useful, if he hadn't opted for wearing it loose about his neck. Now, with a small cut and hairline fracture on his skull (not to mention a hell of a bump), he groaned as he rolled over to face the ceiling, praying for it to stay still.]

<Training Shosen no Jutsu, D Rank. 10 TP Req>

[Getting himself up slowly and shakily, he hobbled his way over to the sink. Turning the taps on and splashing his new wound with some water, he felt the cool liquid sting slightly as it cleaned away any dirt what had fallen into the cut. This was, however, the perfect oppertunity for him to try out another technique. Shosen no Jutsu.

Remembering the theory for it quite clearly, it was the act of using your own chakra to regenerate the afflicted area. It wasn't particuarily complicated at a surface level, but it did demand a high level of concentration from what he could remember. Looking at his fainted reflection in the window opposite, he could see the scar and bump both clearly defined now on top of his forehead. Definately not a pretty sight.

Tarrying no more, he put both of his hands together and focused his chakra. He needed to mold it into a positive energy which would attach itself to his skin and stay firm, afixed whilst it stitched together the muscle and skin and made the swelling reduce. It was harder than he thought, and he could feel his chakra almost switching over to destructive rather than regenerative. Medical techniques really did take a lot of effort and concentration, he realised with a new found awe for medical users.

When he finally felt ready enough to continue, he focused all of the accumulated chakra to his right hand and raised it to his new wound. It was a bizzare sensation, but not an unwelcome one. It was almost as if being wrapped in a warm blanket, itching slightly as it did. Closing his eyes in an attempt at cutting off his senses and giving him a greater understanding of how the technique felt, he kept them shut and his hand afixed in the position for a solid three minutes. Once the time had passed, he opened his right eye anxiously, observing the wound.

It had healed. Both eyes snapping open in delight, he pulled down his mouth mask and stared at his reflection closer. There was practically no sign of there ever being a wound, nor did it hurt or stick out in the slightest. Grinning to himself, he had to resist the urge to thrust his fist in the air. One more down.]

[Gazing into the reflection further, he started to poke at the now closed up wound. It was amazing the power of Shosen no Jutsu - to think just chakra to make your body heal up a wound. It was almost like magi-

The wound burst open again. Unexpected, the sudden tearing of the skin caught him by suprise. The pain was faint, but the shock of watching a smal geyser of blood errupt and splert on the window was not. Panicing, he placed both hands to his head and held them there, trying to stem the bleeding. It wasn't working at all - meaning his only chance was one of the three techniques he'd just learned. Choosing the most recent, he formed the chakra in his hands and made the appropriate handseals, slapping his right hand to his new or rather, old wound. The same sensation swept over his forehead, healing the wound over once more and making the skin restitch itself.

Panic over, he grabbed a cloth and wiped his forehead of the new blood followed by the mess on the window. He really shouldn't jump to conclusions like that again.]

<Learning: Satsugaite no Jutsu, C Rank. 30 TP>

[A short time had passed since learning the Shosen no Jutsu. His apartment had been cleaned up and Satsugai itself had been stored in the appropriate corner of the room. It's cross eyes stared out at the room, almost judging in it's position - but Akuryou tried not to entertain such thoughts. That was the work of madness, after all.

The clean up had wasted half a day and it was now darkening outside. Dusk was breaking on the horizon he could see an orange light replace the clear white of the previous day as the sun began to cast it's dying embers across the world. With the night came the quick cooling of the air as well, forcing Akuryou to grab a lightweight jacket and sling it over his arms. As he was searching his closet for one however, he noticed something at the bottom... a small, rough circular hole. A mouse hole.

You've gotta be kidding me he said, scratching the back of his head. Mice? He had been assured this place had no vermin. What a pain. But then again, a thought came to him - he had learned how to heal earlier on with his chakra by using Shosen no Jutsu. He knew there also existed another way of using the same technique but to cause harm... to destroy, instead of create. To kill, instead of heal. Now all he needed was a living test subject.

Catching the critter was a simple enough task. Using his ninja training to keep still and placing some scraps of food near the hole, when the little bugger had poked its head out Akuryou quickly snatched down and grabbed it about it's body. Small and furry, it was suprisingly well nourished. Holding the rodent to the artificial light from the bulb dangling from his ceiling. Small, brown, furry and lively, it would be the perfect test subject.

Grabbing a couple of rubber bands, he tied the creatures feet to it's body, preventing it's movement and placed it on the table. It looked scared - and so it bloody well should have been. What Akuryou would be doing would potentially kill it, hopefully.

Remembering the Shosen no Jutsu, he remembered how he had forced his chakra to be beneficial for a biological creature. The repairation of cells, the mending the damaged areas and restoring them to how they should be. All he needed to do then was to do the opposite of that... focusing a murderous intent into his hands, a will to cause pain and split cells, causing destruction to anything they touched. He would need to be the anti-healing.

It sounded simpler than it really was. Focusing chakra to that much of a concentration would be no easy task. The principles of Shosen no Jutsu helped him half of the way there though, making this a much less difficult task than he had hoped. Putting his hands together to form a seal, he let the prepared and molded chakra flow to his hands and watched in awe as the right one began to glow a faint purple.

Holding the hand aloft, he could feel the chakra swarming over his skin. It wouldn't harm him, he knew, but it could easily harm another. It almost wanted to harm another. That much killing intent harnessed into such a small area was not an easy tool to wield.

Thank god Akuryou was morally bankrupt. Glaring at the mouse below, he moved to place his hand upon it in order to study the techniques full effects. All sorts of events swam before his mind - the mouse being torn in half, or the chakra destroying it's insides first, or something else of the sort. He really didn't know what to expect.

What he didn't expect however was when he put his hand to the unwelcome guest, for the chakra to fade. It had squealled as if it was in pain tremendously, but there was no physical damage, or atleast not on the outside. Poking the creature whose heart was beating faster than a jackhammer, he watched it squirm and struggle for a moment, it's feeble attempt at escape being utterly unproductive.

Tch... You wont be so lucky next time he grumbled bitterly.]

<Learning: Satsugaite no Jutsu, C Rank. 30 TP>

[After a short break, Akuryou had returned to his tiny captive. He had taken a while to clear his head and try and refocus his attention back to his new task, the mastery of the Satsugaite no Jutsu. His patience was waning however, and with that came a new feverent urge to learn as quickly as possible.

Stroking the rough brown hair, he theorised his only flaw was his lack of control. Normally not a task a puppeteer struggles with, focus, but one he wasn't able to direct completely on this occassion. Perhaps it was all about blocking out other things in his mind? he pondered. He had remembered how before, he had been close to performing the technique when his mind had envisioned what may come along next. Such thoughts needed to be kept under wraps.

Putting his hands into another seal, he began the same process as before. Chakra molding in the centre of his body, he held the handseal still and began to charge his hands full of the same dissecting intent. Slowly, he let the chakra then begin to trickle through his arms and gather about his hands themselves, the same purple aura as before returning. He noticed this time it was a much deeper shade of purple however - perhaps an indicator the technique was stronger now?

Taking a deep breath, he raised the now glowing right hand above the small furry creature and held it still with his left index finger pressed against its head, forcing it to halt it's movement. The fear this poor thing must have felt was unimaginable to Akuryou - but then, he also lacked the capacity to empathise with the creature, so the moral battle was extremely low.

Putting his right hand on top again, he let the chakra flow into the rear end of the mouse. This time, the effect was almost instant - and pungent. The fur and the skin on the mouse had literally began to rot before him. Turning his head away slightly at the smell, he only kept one eye upon the techniques effect. The rodents cries, as high pitch and short as they were, only just made it beyond the sound of the chakra humming away. Satsugaite no Jutsu was working, almost perfectly.

It was then however that something happened. The chakra simply faded away. The technique broken, Akuryou moved his hands away, a trace of gore still attached to them. To his suprise, the mouse hadn't died from all of that either. Upon closer inspection, the most Akuryou had done was melt away the first layers of skin for the lower half of it's body. The creature was going into shock though, and Akuryou knew enough about small things to know shock did not do them any favours. Scratching his chin, he reformed his hands into a seal and concentrated healing chakra to them before placing a hand over the damaged area. The muscular, skin and fur damage regenerating, Akuryou laughed to himself at this extra practice for Shosen no Jutsu. Seemed like he had no problem with that now.]

[Once the skin and fur had healed over completely on the mouse, Akuryou left it for a short while to calm down. It's pulse was still racing, and it was still in a level of shock but the Shosen no Jutsu had helped sustain it's heart giving out on it. It was a pity that ultimately, it would mean nothing when Akuryou performed the technique again. He was certain the next time would be the last he would need to test it.

The technique had failed before because of one simple fact - when forcing the chakra into his hands, he had done it too slowly. Only a certain amount of chakra could be transfered in the holding of the seal to his hands, which meant he needed to get as much chakra converted into the Satsugaite no Jutsu and held in his hand as possible. Now it was a case of doing it as much as possible, as quick as possible, without comprimising the quality.

It wasn't as hard as all that however. Putting his hands together and focusing, he began to mold as much chakra as possible in the short time. His hands began to glow purple again, now richer and larger an area than before, extending out of his hand by a solid two inches. Sorry, little friend. I'm going to take your life now he spoke softly beneath his breath as he watched the mouse try and crawl away again. With a silent movement, he lowered his hand and grabbed the mouse about it's body entirely, forcing the destructive chakra straight into it's small body.

The result was disgusting, yet fascinating. As the chakra began to tear apart at the cells and the bonds holding them together, the creature squelled with a new found sense of panic. It's eyes boggled out of it's head and popped, an oozing black liquid flowing out only just noticable among the dissolving gore and blood rolling onto the recently cleaned table again. Once the chakra had fully left his hand, Akuryou withdrew it and wiped the resulting gore onto a spare rag he had to hand, prepared just for this situation. Satsugaite no Jutsu he spoke to himself, the anti-life technique....]

Cleaning up the mess on his table, he had noticed the entire process had made Akuryou somewhat hungry. He hadn't eaten anything since mid day, and with the sun now totally submerged in the background, he could feel his stomach growling. The only thing he had left in his cupboards was a pack of plain rice noodles - hardly the most nutritious, but it'd fill the spot for now. Grabbing a large pot from one of his cupboards, he filled it full of water and placed it on the stove, ready to light the hob.

Turning the gas on, he clicked the ignition flint button on the cooker and heard the familiar "click", but noted that nothing else happened. Curious, he lowered his head and looked at the gas head itself, wondering what the hold up was. Clicking it a few more times, he could only deduce that the flint had worn itself out - presenting somewhat of an issue.

God damnit he mumbled, pulling open different drawers in his kitchen in search of something. No flint, no matches, no nothing. Friggin' hell.... He grumbled a few more less polite words to the cooker itself before finally giving up, staring at the cooker. Plenty of gas had come out now, and he would need to do something about it soon. That was when an idea came to him.

Apt in the Raiton release, he knew of a very simple technique to create a spark. Forming the Ox symbol, he felt the nature manipulation of his chakra take control and mold itself into the lightning element. When enough was prepared, he broke his seals and pointed the palm of his left hand at the fire and watched as a jagged strike of very small lightning jolted from his palm to the hob itself, igniting the gas around the area.

Huh... well... that was simple he murmered, before getting to the cooking.]

Description: The user focuses chakra at a certain point on the target and creates a small amount of friction in the air, sparking the area. This can be done almost instantaneously, but causes almost zero damage due to the small nature of the spark. It cannot cause paralysis or blindness, nor any other sort of damage. Usually a prank children use on each other like a game of tag, but with sparks for a small kick.

<Learning: Hirameki no Jutsu, D Rank. 10 TP req>

[Finishing up his eating and cleaning, Akuryou crossed over to the light switch for the room and flicked it off. With the sun down outside, and no street lights near his buildings apartment, he was immediately descended into darkness. Not moving an inch, he simply stood and listened to the sound of nothing but the emptiness, relishing in the darkness.

He knew his chakra element maniupation was Lightning, but he had never found a use for it in the past. The previous example had shown him however how easy he found it to use, especially with his puppetry and now medical chakra maintaining experience. Lightning was a wild element which if not tamed would run away with the user, or simply fail.

There was one basic technique he remembered reading up on which relied on the Raiton however, the "Hirameki no Jutsu". The theory behind the technique was extremely simple; a bright flash of light from his eyes to blind and disorientate the opponent. Straight element expulsion from his eyes, normally not an area he used. This would be... different.

Molding the chakra inside himself into the lightning element, he also put his hands together in the Rat seal and felt the chakra flow up to his eyes. It was an unusual sensation as he held his eyelids shut, the strange pressure building up behind them. Then, in a blinding - literally - moment, he opened his lids and felt the light errupt from them. All he could see for a moment was white, followed by things suddenly getting darker again - so dark, it was straight to the pitch black conditions as before. Putting a hand to cover his strained eyes, he could feel the throbbing pain behind them and the starting onset of a headache, but didn't care much for it. He was on a roll recently, and would count this as a success no matter how much more practice he might of needed.]

[Rubbing his sore eyes, hoping for the stinging pain to receed, Akuryou had to admit that the technique would be immensely useful once fully learned. For a close combat user like himself, it's the sort of thing he would really need in a up and personal situation - plus, it was handy practice for releasing chakra from other parts of his body.

When the burning sensation had calmed, he decided to try again. Still leaving the room pitch black, he molded the elemental chakra inside of himself and set his hands to the correct seal for a second time. Concentrating on pulling the chakra from his gut to his eyes, he held it there beneath his lids for a moment nervously. He really wasn't in the mood for more searing pain, so if he didn't get it this time, he'd probably put it on hold. When he finally felt prepared, he opened his eyes and let the lightning chakra flow from them, blasting the room with an intense light.

Unlike before however, he felt no pain. Perhaps it was in his molding of the chakra itself or some other reason, but this time the technique simply flowed from him with ease. Watching as the room lit up and then turned to black again as the chakra fuelled light dimmed, he let his hands collapse from the seal and fall to his sides.

Raiton, huh... he started to mumble, wondering where exactly he had placed his text books on the element.]

[Turning the lights back on, Akuryou had moved over to one of the book cases in his room. Most of them were filled with LEAP! Weekly, a collaboration of different comics in one book which Akuryou had been collecting since he was a child but at the bottom of the small structure there was an assortment of tatterred volumes. Books given to him at the same time as he was given this place when taken in by the village. Taking the middle of the gathering, a blue dyed leather bound book, he crossed back over to the table and lay it down, opening it up to the first page.

Basic Raiton and Me

Skipping forwards a few pages beyond the basics, he came upon an interesting technique. The "Raikou Yama", or Lightning Bullet. A projectile based lightning technique? He knew Instant Spark, but that was too weak for combat. This would also serve as a back up for him if he ever ran out of Kunai, Shuriken or other tools.

Reading over the description, it wasn't particuarily helpful. The handseals were clearly indicated, as was the fact he needed to mold lightning chakra, but there was no actual directions for use. Was it really as simple as a point and shoot? Scratching his chin, he took a couple of empty jars from the cupboard full of other assorted glasses and placed them on the kitchen side. Walking back to the book, he crossed over to the complete other side of the flat - a distance of about fourty five feet. Long enough for practice atleast.

Looking at the description again, he decided it was time to take the plunge. Molding pure lightning energy in his gut, he set his hands into the first of the seals. Tiger, Serpent, Dragon he marked out, holding each for a half second. Once Dragon was locked, he set the chakra to his hands and watched as the lightning began to form at the tips of his fingers. It was somewhat numbing, like as if you held your hand on something which vibrated for too long, but it wasn't a bad thing. It almost tickled.

Then, breaking his hands away and raising his right hand, he let the chakra concentrate into two solid balls, spinning furiously about his tips. He kept his aim steady and on the first glass jar, and relinquished his control over the small balls and at once, they both shot forwards unexpectedly at the same time and collided with the first glass jar. There was a small delay in release of each, but the gap was under a second. Just enough time for Akuryou to see the top half of the glass get shattered, followed by the entire thing with the second blow.

Shaking his hand free of the numbness, he grabbed a dustpan and brush and started to clear up yet -another- mess he'd made with his training. I think I could get used to Raiton...][/blockquote]

Description: Once the user has performed the required handseals the user will outstretch his hands and his fingers. Chakra will be rapidly gathered their and suddenly each finger will begin to emit electricity. The user will then move their hands back and fling them forward releasing the Lightning Bullets at the opponent. The Bullet’s look like small marble-sized balls of lightning with is giving off a constant discharge. The balls travel as fast as a person can throw a kunai or shuriken.
