Continuing his training in advancing his Shunshin skills, Kininata remained in the hall of the Hensoku Shikijou, and started working towards mastering this supposedly simple technique. He was aware that his skill in his Suiton and Kouuton were advancing nicely, but now he needed to ensure his defensive skills were of similar capability - especially since now, as a Chuunin, he had more to do that just protect himself from harm. He allowed himself rest, letting his body recover from the training only a few hours ago, and then would resume where he had left off.
He had decent control of his Shunshin when advancing forwards, taking advantage of Suigozu only when he was forced to withdraw. This technique would allow him to perform the Shunshin in withdrawl just as effectively, letting him use his skills with much more tactical efficiency. He looked behind himself, ensuring that his path was clear from obstruction, and drew his hands together. He mentally pictured where he wanted to move to, and gathered his Chakra together within himself. 'Shunshin no Jutsu.' There was a suddenly flicker of motion, and he did in fact move backwards... about three meters. He sighed, realising that he needed to apply himself more to the technique, and started his focusing again.
Drawing forth his Chakra once again, Kininata focused on moving cleanly, quickly, successfully backwards with greater success that the previous attempt. 'Shunshin no Jutsu.' He released the Chakra, and vanished from where he was - appearing where he expected to be this time around. He nodded in satisfaction, and repeated the exercise once more for good measure. When that too showed success in practice, he shook off the muscle fatigue he was feeling in his body and decided that it had been enough for one day. At least until tomorrow where the next stage of his training would begin.
