(Jimmu and Okami both train shunsin)
Jimmu had made it to the land of fire. But he had a problem. He and his animal companion Okami were both tired and hungry. Their legs and bodies were worn out, and Okami was soaking wet.
Jimmu pondered where they should go. Hmm. “The hidden village of leaf is in this area right?” Jimmu asked the shrew with no good reason. Okami obviously had no idea where it was. Neither did Jimmu. He scratched his ass and narrowed his eyes a bit. “I guess we can’t go to leaf village.” Jimmu then thought about the other areas in the land of fire. Tanzuko gai was close at hand, perhaps they would head there. With a hand wave signaling Okami to follow, Jimmu would head off toward the city.
Okami scampered around behind, running hard despite his exhaustion. He was wet and cold, and he wanted to get his blood pumping and his body temperature up. Jimmu jogged at a leisurely pace.
They passed thick and lush forests and fields of flowers. Bees and butterflies and animals of all sorts danced around while the pair continued their journey. The city was not all that hard to find, and after the wearisome hours of travel they finally reached it.
Jimmu stepped though the village gate and looked around. It was quite a different scene than the ninja village he had trekked from. He looked around for an inn of some kind. There was bound to be one in a busy place such as this.
The man walked about the bustling streets easily. Despite his size, and Okami’s size, they had no problem maneuvering through the thick crowds. They were given a wide berth as they skipped along. It was no surprise of course, even ninjas liked to keep their distance from the pair.
They were dirty and large and imposing, they struck fear into the harts of small children and even large adults. Jimmu seemed almost unaware of this fact. “Oh Look Okami,” The man squeaked. “There’s a good looking bar. We can get some drink, rest our weary legs, and prepare to set off again.”
And so they did. The invisible barrier of fear that the pair emitted pushed most people away from the bar bench as they approached. All that were left was a muscular man drinking merrily. Even the bar tended had backed away.
Jimmu sighed as he patiently waited for the bar tended to work up the courage to serve a drink. He looked over to his right where the drunkard stood, and scanned this man. What made him so different that he showed no fear to Okami?
The man noticed the gaze, but decided to allow it. If this was the only man at the bar, who else was he going to talk to? He picked up the bottle of Sake that rested by his glass and poured his new friend a glass. “The name’s Imagawa Yoshimoto. Why don’t you sit down and have a drink with me?”
