Friendly and sociable, despite being abandoned as a baby, Sora tries his best to get along with others, sometimes made difficult by those who were jealous of his eyes or scared of them.Appearance:
He does his best in all he does not for the village but for himself, trying to leave his mark upon the world. He wants to accomplish as much as he can as quickly as he can and rise to the top. Yet in doing so, he does not want to crush those under him. Truly kind, his face betrays no emotion. Rather one needs to look at his drawings to understand how he feels. Deep in his heart Sora expresses what he cannot say, through art and ink, trying to mend his soul on his own.
Out of all his experiences, Sora has discovered a palette for food of any kind. He loved it all, a product of eating little in the past. Grateful for food, he would never let it go to waste and would join anyone's meal if offered.
PictureBloodlimit: Onigami
A small stature due to the small portions of food at the orphanage, Sora has bleached white hair resting upon his head. Sora seldom combs it, the hair naturally staying down on its own no matter how bizarre of a position he sleeps in. A lack of sunlight has left Sora's skin pale, untanned and blemish free. His white hair offsets the skin, making it darker than it really is while bright red eyes lay hidden behind sunglasses, fashionably designed so as not to betray their purpose. The sunglasses were more to not scare others than for his own confidence.
His clothes vary day to day, sometimes a robe but usually a loose fitting black shirt and matching black pants. Shoes specially designed for a shinobi's tough life complete his outfit while his gear all rests in a pack within easy reach. Compartmentalized, he could withdraw any weapon on himself, knowing what it was by pouch alone. A crescent moon pendant around his neck, hidden from view, is Sora's only accessory, worn as a memento to his days before becoming a ninja. To further hide it, the Rain ninja's headband rests around his neck rather than the forehead offering some protection as well.

Born and abandoned, Sora remembered nothing of his parents, left in an orphanage in the center of the Hidden Rain Village. There he spent the first five years of his life getting along well with most of the children, some younger and some older. They played games in the dusty and drab rooms and were served small portions of food three times a day. Nothing really exciting ever happened as the children were not allowed to wander the village.
Yet one day, shortly after he turned five, Sora was playing Hide and Seek. A popular game, as the orphanage staff kept the lights dim at all times to save energy. He was the seeker and the other dozen kids hid. He had never been great at the game, but this time the game would be over quickly. At first the game played like usual and he struggled to find them as there were many crevices and hiding spots. Yet the harder he searched, the more he noticed a slight change in his vision. He wasn't sure exactly how but he could figure out where the kids were hiding. His vision was perfect, beyond perfect. He could see through all their hiding places. Yet when he found the kids, they ran away in fear.
When he had found everyone, they did not say anything to him instead looking away. Shocked by this Sora tried to get answers but they wouldn't give them. Finally, when he passed a mirror, he saw glowing red eyes, his eyes. He did not know what to do but command them to dim, to go away. Sora didn't want to lose his friends, and it seemed to work for a while. But the eyes were finicky, leaving him alone in the end. Donning sunglasses, even indoors to hide his eyes, he spent his time painting the landscape out the window. Highly textured, he developed his own style as few of the children would associate with him anymore, letting the year pass slowly.
Somewhere in the middle of his sixth year at the orphanage, a man tall in stature and sharp blue eyes appeared. Unbeknown to Sora, his art was making a reputation outside in the village, as the staff were selling his works, which always mysteriously disappeared when he slept. The man wanted to meet the painter and so he had come to the orphanage. Identifying himself as Walter, Sora had an interview ending with the man offering him a chance to leave the orphanage and go with him. Shunned by most at the orphanage, Sora agreed after the man sufficiently praised his art, style and emotion in his paintings.
Walter led Sora to a mansion where hundreds of artworks hung on tapestries and adorned the walls. Impressed with Sora's skill and the feeling in his paintings, the man wanted to take his skill to a new level, to actually bring the art to life. There, Sora finally learned some answers on his eyes, though much still remained a mystery. Even more important for Sora was the ability to bring his art to life. A marvelous feeling Sora followed Walter's instruction in the ways of art, finally qualifying for his own Yatake Set. Over the next year, comfortable in his new home, Walter informed Sora that he had been enrolled in the Ninja Academy.
The academy was fun, though his sunglasses never came off, much to the dismay of his sensei. Sora decided it would be best to keep his eyes a secret, afraid of losing his friends. When academy life came to an end for he passed all his classes, he carried out his shinobi duties from Walter's house. At graduation Walter gave him a mark on his left shoulder signifying a full acceptance into the Li clan and revealed his own connection, a distant descendant of the son of the man who helped bring the Li clan to Rain. Reflecting on his life at graduation, he had come far and felt lucky for where he now stood. He wondered what the future would bring as his shinobi life got underway...
