• Name: New Life
• Rank: D
• IIC Length: 2 day
• Difficulty: Easy
• Description: This mission is to escort Iwao’s son Yumetako to a hidden village for training as a ninja. Iwao has said that the boy shows sure great talent as a ninja and that his history began with ninjas. He believes that sending his son to a hidden village would be better for him then living on a farm. He provides a description of his son and where he can be found. Iwao mentions a special talent but did not go into detail about it. Yumetako can be found in the capital as arranged by the father. A description of his son is included, as well as a warning that he will more then likely keep a green cloak covering him at most times.
• Objective: Successfully escort Yumetako to Takigakure (Village of Waterfall)
o Reward: 500 Ryo
The day was a bit hot but this was not deterring Yumetako from exploring the city. He is for the most part familiar with Seisui’s outlay but he still finds the city life extraordinary. Currently he was observing the part of the city that was over a lake that is created by several waterfalls that fall into it. It was mostly populated by the rich and elite. The people, often regal and high upon themselves, would stare at Yumetako with his more comfortable outfit. They seem to spend more time with their appearance and commenting on others appearance then anything else.
As unlikely as it seems he had made a friend in this district. He is a pottery maker named Arata. Yumetako helped him a few days earlier with moving all his wares into the elite section of the city. It was an adventurous ordeal but regardless Arata owed his business to Yumetako. Arata offered to pay his stay here at anytime having given him a note that says he would pay for it. This was good because Yumetako had nowhere to stay when he first got here.
Some of the places Yumetako stayed left much to be desired. Yet others were so fancy he felt that he was abusing the gift he was given. Eventually he found a nice place near the south side of town just across a bridge that connects the majority of the city to the elite section. It was called Warm Stay. It was a quaint name but upon entering Yumetako had a feeling of country life. The building itself had a sign that showed a pair of farmers sleeping soundly in a hayloft. Upon entering it had a nice homey feel to it with spotted lanterns and old paintings. It wasn’t a very large place to stay but according to the owners it had 30 beds for sleeping in.
Today, Yumetako was hoping to meet a ninja or two. He wasn’t sure how many might come to get him. He knew his father was concerned and had sent a request to the Kage to send him an escort but he didn’t know how the ninjas of the Waterfall country would take it. Perhaps he would be a super important mission and the Kage himself (or herself he wasn’t sure who the current Kage was) would come get him? He doubted that but it was fun to imagine. At first he thought he was worried that he might not be able to become a ninja but his friend Arata suggested letters of recommendation for becoming a ninja. So far he has collected 17 such letters, some ten pages long!
He wasn’t getting his hopes up for meeting a ninja. He had a slightly more morbid take on it. He was thinking that they might not come to get him at all. He wasn’t normally a pessimist but he has been in the city for a week now and he was starting to get a little nervous. Today though he was going to make the best of it, he was going to try to find a nice secluded location to practice his unique skill. After all he has to be at the top of his game if a ninja does show up.
