The grass was wet with morning dew which was more than usual due to the previous rain fall that had occurred last night. Puddles lay scattered in random places as a lone figure walked down a well worn path of dirt and gravel. Mud lay at is very edges as it was clear fresh gravel had been put down recently to lower the amount of mud for travelers of this dirt road. Trees and shrubbery on either side of the road remained still and silent as a thick cloud of fog rolled nearly motionless in the area. The sound of feet striking the ground were the only noises that morning. Violet colored eyes remained fixated on this road spotting every different piece of gravel, its color, size and shape. Her mind was in deep thought this morning. Many things traveled within that intelligent mind of hers. Thoughts of her past, Misuri who had once again gotten out of her grasp. She had gotten so close this time. She could even smell his scent at one point in time and only missed him by minuets. She was sure he knew she was following him. She knew Misuri was only toying with her. Every day that came she spent on learning about Misuri and his life, who he had contacts with, if he had any family left, so on and so forth. She wanted to get at the very heart of him and tear it to pieces as he had done with her family. He had slaughtered them all with one foul swipe of his massive blade he carried on his back. Though he looked handsome he was still a killer and she would still take her revenge on him.
Kaname soon stopped at fork in the road that split into three different directions in the shape of a plus sign. She looked all around her to make sure no one was following before she took the path to the left. This road ended and they say no one should go down the road for the broken bridge that lied here from a previous mudslide down the hill. But every morning she came to this bridge and the damaged area without regret for she had found a secret here. Just below the bridge was a rather massive trench that went down forty feet. Within the trench it turned into a massive underground cavern which led to an underground spring. That fed most of the city its water. Others had their own private wells that went down even further. As soon as she reached the edge, she looked around once more again to make sure no one was following and dropped down into the massive trench. Falling at near thirty miles an hour, she had only seconds until she hit the surface of the water. Focusing her chakra, she did the signs Horse, Rabbit, Dragon and Ram and when she did a thick water spout soon exploded from the surface below and slowed her fall. Once she was stopped in mid air, she released the Ram sign and she slowly descended until she was standing on the river that flowed in the trench. Vast scents of earth and minerals soon shot in her nose and mixed with the scent of water filled with minerals (like the smell of water coming from a hose just so you know). She looked about her and saw that little light came through the trench ceiling. Listening to the river and feeling the current, she soon followed it down deeper into the earth. This was also another way into a training area for other shinobi who knew of its location.
It must have been at least five miles before she reached her destination. A small tunnel soon opened up to a rather large room with the ceiling standing as high as sixty-five feet. The circumference of the room was over one hundred feet and at least forty feet of water was the training ground. Sure there were shallow spots but that was only four feet at the edges of the room and in some places there were sheer drop offs. A rather large hole in the ceiling provided the light for the ambiance. If one didn't know, the training pool as most call it was located a little over five miles outside of the village to the northeast. Guarded by thick forests, it was rarely ever seen by outsiders or first time visitors. Kaname was the only one to know of the underground path which was so much easier than trying to find it above ground. For most it took nearly an hour trying to find the entrance to it for it was so well hidden. Only a half rotten wooden sign warned of the drop off to the entrance which was nearly unreadable in the first place. As Kaname stood in the center of the pool, she gave a hefty sigh once she closed her eyes. Moving her hands up with palms touching each other and fingers extended, she soon began to practice her tai-chi to help her warm up. It was an unusual tactic for any shinobi but she was taught by her father, before he was killed, about this technique and she found her focus and concentration had increased by twenty-five percent rather than not doing it in the first place. Practicing all twenty-four positions and forms of Tai-Chi took a little more than an hour but it helped her to train greatly. Once she had completed all of her Tai Chi, she stood in the conclusion form while breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth to retain her normal heart rhythm. Once there she opened up her eyes to begin her training of mass chakra.
