It felt so great to be home within the soft grassy caverns of Kusagakure, I had almost forgotten what that was like. With a loud shout I would release my excitement, I had much to do so shaking as much as I was would only be a hinderance. Lately I had come to terms with the fact that Suiton could not be the only thing I relied upon and as such I would need to polish off my Taijutsu alot more then I had. As a Hoshigake I had immense strength within the body, alot more so then regular people. Flexing my muscles I would begin with some push-ups to get my blood flowing, nothing too important but they would make sure that I was alert and prepared to under go such a task as learning the Chakra Gates. The first task however would not be easy, training the speed of ones mind.
Walking down the street, I would come across a man with a small wooden box set out before him. Apparently he was a common street hustler, out playing find the ball with a set of shells. A dark frame sat upon his nose as the glasses covered his eyes, he claimed to be blind. Speedy little hands would move the shells about on the table as he shouted his sales pitch out to the streets, however this was just the thing I had been looking for! To test the speed of my mind, I would attempt to beat this man at his own game, I could even kill some time in the process while I waited to speak to the Kusakage, it was rumored she was currently absent which I found quite odd.
“I'll play.” I grunted softly as I made my approach, a wide toothy grin appeared on his face as he smirked. “The game is simple then sonny, watch the ball and remember the shell!” he cooed in an old croaky voice as he flipped a shell to show me the ball. Grinning I would lock eyes upon at as he chuckled. “Here we go!” and with that the little hands would quickly shuffle the shells about with lightining speed. I could not believe my eyes at how fast he was moving these things, it was everything I could do to keep up with them. Focusing however I had to keep my eyes upon the shell I knew contained my ball. It was all very distracting, the clicking sounds of the shells, the people on the streets, I hoped I would win with all I had.
After what seemed like eternity in my mind, he would stop rotating the shells. In my head I could still see them shifting oddly, perhaps it was something to do with this ability I was training. In my mind I could break it all down, see it slowly happening which was as if my mind was moving so fast that the images seemed to slow down. That was when I realized, I had this thing in the bag now, I knew which one the ball was hidden under. Pointing with my index finger I would tap a shell and smile. “This one.” I stated as the old man flipped a shell to reveal the ball. “Ohohoh how did you know sonny?” he asked with a grin. “I just had a feeling. How did you know what one I pointed to if you're blind?” I asked with a coy smirk. The old man would simply chuckle and grin.
I'd say nothing and leave his little scam alone as I walked into the distance..
