Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The flytrap around their bodies closes either all the way or just enough for them to see out of and then hardens to an impenetrable hardness; only to most taijutsu. The protection is only against most taijutsu, and weak ninjutsu.
Special: Handseal: Rat
Drawback: Katon and Raiton jutsu of C-Rank or higher are always able to burn through the flytrap's defences. The user loses the ability to see, unless the flytrap is kept slightly open, which may expose the users weak body to attacks.
Description: The user quickly forms the handseal and their flytrap begins to grow big enough to encase them. The venus flytrap then closes around their body and gains a slight sheen as it hardens into a more defendable nature, the flytrap may be kept open slightly to . The defensive abilities of the hardening all depend on the extent one knows the jutsu.

It was another average day in the grass village. Shi was walking around looking for a nice, quiet place to try and learn a new jutsu. After a few minutes she was a little away from the houses and in a grassy field. She chose a place to be alone because she didn't want to be around to many people. She then reached for a scroll she brung with her and unrolled it to find a jutsu that she would be learning.

After looking through the scroll for a minute she decided to learn a more defensive jutsu. Since she couldn't move around to fast it would be good to be able to defend against enemy attacks better. The handseals for the technique seemed really easy. The only thing about handseals to it was preforming the rat handsign. The looked like it was going to be pretty easy for her to learn.

There seemed to be no need in attempting to memorizing the handseals since it was nothing special. According to the scroll, her flytrap would enclose around her acting sort of like a shield. That deffinetely would be a usefull aspect in a battle. It would seem though that it didn't protect against fire or lightning attacks so that could make it a little difficult. It was a good thing she knew how to manipulate her flytrap.

It would probably be a good idea to practice moving around the flytrap a little bit. She began to focus onto her flytrap. She would move it around a little bit hopefully making it a little easier to encloser it around herself good enough. After a few minutes of doing that she figured it was time to get a little more serious. Time to get on with it and preform the jutsu.

First off of course the preformed the rat handseal. Her chakra was concentrated on the flytrap so that it would close up almost all the way. Slowly, she was able to make the flytrap start to close, but there was a problem, the flytrap closed but it didn't harden. She tried over and over again trying to preform it. About 10 minutes then passed.

This time when she tried it the flytrap grew slightly larger. It also develeoped a small sheen as it almost fully closed. Shi could feel that her flytrap was now stronger than it had been before. It would seem that she had preformed the technique. She was now one step closer to learning all of the Kouba jutsu's that she could.

Flytrap Melding

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the Kouba them push their arms through the flytrap when its open, giving a wider range of motion.
Special: ---
Drawback: Cannot be used when the flytrap is closed.
Description By pushing against their venus flytrap and exerting a small amount of chakra. As such they can allow the flytrap to close more closely to the body of the Kouba as their arms push through, allowing a wider range of motion for their arms.
Limit: Must be a Kouba



Shi's training today wasn't completed yet. She looked back through the scroll and began looking for another good jutsu that she could learn. As she was skimming through the scroll a certain technique caught her eye. Something that would let her put her arms through her flytrap for more arm space. She deffinetely would need to be able to do this.

It would seem that it would not take any handseals to preform. That would probably make the training a little easier. It would seem that she would have to keep her flytrap open. Shi then made her flytrap open up a little extra just to make sure that it would work. She was guessing this would be kind of like modifying her flytrap but probably a little harder and deffinetely different.

It would also seem that in order to do this technique she would need to concentrate chakra to her hands. Shi then practiced focusing her chakra into her hands. This would make preforming the jutsu easier. Actually doing that is bassicly probably most of the jutsu itself. Now that she had practiced that, doing the jutsu should be a lot easier now.

Shi then prepaired to preform the technique. She didn't do any handsigns first because it didn't require any at all. She then began to focus chakra into her hands. Her hands then pushed against the sides of her flytrap. Her hands then began sliding through it slowly like nothing was there at all. It seemed like the technique was a success.

When she looked her hands were now going through her flytrap and on the other side. She moved her arms through her cloaks sleeves and then moved her arms up looking at them. Now Shi finnally had a use of her sleeves. Also, her flytrap could now close a little further thank to her arms not taking up space. She moved her arms around a little enjoying the free space.

She did that for the next few minutes. Unfortunately it was starting to get a little late. She then reversed the jutsu putting her arms back into her flytrap. That was enough playing around, it was time to continoue on with her training before it became to late.

Name: Oujou Shokubutsu (Death Plant)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user will create a man eating plant that will chase the enemy around.
Special: “Snake” “Tiger” “Rat”
Drawback: This plant responds to movement, so if the opponent does not move, the plant will not chase them.
Description: The user performs the handseals and then extends their arm outward. A large plant will grow from their hand. This plant is basically a very thick vine with an open mouth at the end. The plant has very sharp teeth that can rip the flesh from an opponent’s bones. At the “C” Level, the user can only make one plant. At the “B” level, the user can make tow plants using both hands. The plants can only extend a maximum of twenty meters and wilt after five posts.

It was now the next day. After she had learned that last technique she had headed home for a nights rest. But now it was time to continoue training again. Shi went back to the alley she was in yesturday. It was a good idea for noone to see her training. Not all attacks are friendly to normal people or anyone that could be nearby also. She then grabbed the scroll and prepared to start learning.

She opened one of the techiques scrolls she had and began to skim through it looking for something good to learn. She hadn't focused much on offensive techniques so that is what she would look for. Soon after starting to skim somethign caught her eye. She looked further in the scroll to see if there would be anything else that she would want to learn. You never knew if there was anything better to learn until you looked at everything.

Nothing else seemed to catch her eye at the moment. She went back through the scroll to where the one technique was. It was a jutsu where she would send a plant out of her hand that was able to rip flesh off of bones. Deffinetely a good skill if you want to really injure someone and it seemed like it would be a pretty good offensive technique anyway.. She took a minute or two to study the technique to know it a little better.

First of all was she had to learn the handseals for the jutsu. The handseals that it required seemed easy enough. Well actually, handseals never really are that hard to learn in the first place. All she needed to do was preform three of them. Not to mention that they were basic handseals at that. Anyone who has been in the academy would, or atleast should know all the handseals that are needed for this.

She looked at the scroll again making sure she had them correct. She had easily memorized the order that they were in just as she had thought. Shi then easily preformed the correct handseals in the right order. It would seem that she was already prepared to move on to the next step. She looked to the scroll and prepared to move on.
