It had been a long time since she had one of her dreams. The world around her was different yet it felt the same… realistic you could say. Last time she had been in these dreams various animals had approached and challenged her and she had succeeded. She couldn’t help but wonder if this would be the same. And if it was the same would she succeed this time? Her questions would soon be answered as she saw movement in the sky, a bird it would seem. She waited, rushing these creatures was never a good thing and she didn’t want to ruin her tests before they even began.

The bird perched on a nearby branch, running its beak through its glossy blue feathers and making sure each quill was in its proper place. Kana waited long minutes before the creature looked up. “Oh its you is it?” The bird asked in a rhetorical. “You’re an opposite of mine by birth but there is some sign of the Bird about you. Let’s see if you can prove yourself worthy of my sign!” Kana nodded in reply. It mattered not what the test was, she would prove herself and thus unlock the secrets she so desired. It was her goal to learn all these seals no matter what.

The world rippled and the kunoichi was cast into a room that was six inches deep in what appeared to be… gumballs. She blinked rapidly before noticing six different boxes along the wall, each bearing a color swatch. She was meant to organize them for certain. With a wistful wish for Athena’s aid she would begin. She started at the wall closest to the boxes. Tossing the colors each into their respective box. For ten consecutive minutes she would sort, each ball making its way into the designated receptacle. It was at this point the kunoichi realized how many there really were.

In ten minutes she had made not a dent in the room. How long would it take? Days? Maybe even weeks. She couldn’t be put off by this however. She would group the gumballs as best she could in an attempt to cut her time but it seemed that nothing worked. Doggedly she persued her task, determined not to stop until she was finished. If she was truly dreaming after all she would not be tired when she awoke from the crazy place she had entered. But exhaustion of the mental kind would take its toll. Her head began to ache but she ignored that nagging feeling in her temples.

Another ten minutes passed as she continued her separation, to what point and purpose she had no idea. One by one and two by two she would do what she could, wishing there was some type of technique that could help her in this situation. As she scooped up a red gumball she stared at it blankly. The wheels of her mind turned over as images flashed before her eyes. “Wait a second… are people actually supposed to eat these now? This is really very unsanitary…” She mused. The birds cackling filled the room. “Took you long enough didn’t it?”[/font][/blockquote]

Another test was on its way no doubt. It was never just simple after all. The last test had been one of observation. What else did the bird have to offer? She had heard rumors of the birds being extremely vain but testing her vanity seemed foolish, she had none. She changed from appearance to appearance often and had no particular favorite. She was not obsessed with how she looked, she accepted it was all. She grinned wolfishly, this would be a fun test, and easy to beat, that was if the bird chose to offer this as her test. Patience would be tried as she awaited the next task.

Finally the world began to shimmer once more and she was thrown into a box of mirrors. She glanced around curiously. Was this her test of vanity? As she looked into the first mirror a lock of her hair fell to the floor. She watched the silvery strands descend with a blank face. It was of no great matter to her. Over and over the process would repeat as she watched in the mirror until her hair was quite short and uneven. Unflinching she would turn to the next mirror, seemingly unshaken by her new and admittedly unattractive hair style.

In the next mirror her hair was the same. A white light flashed and her outer kimono ripped near the collar. Her shoulders rose and fell in a shrug. Clothing didn’t matter, it could be replaced. Her kimonos were slashed in flashes of light, falling to the floor and leaving her in her mission gear. A strap of her tank top was sheared; dirt appeared across her clothes, staining the colors. More cuts would appear as her clothes were seemingly ripped to shreds. A smile crossed her face when she realized that despite this process the disappearing chunks of clothing were all in ‘tasteful’ places.

Left in little more than rags she turned to the third mirror, her appearance unchanging from before. More light flashes passed without blinding her vision. As the light flashed however a long scar would appear along her calf. She studied it carefully in the mirror as she pondered what weapon could cause a scar of that certain nature. Another opened upon her chest, and her cheeks, her stomach, and her hands. Scars had never bothered her like they did some women. They were signs of a battle well fought, signs of bravery and courage. No in fact Kana rather enjoyed scars, her real ones at least.

Finally she turned to the last mirror, wondering what else they could possibly do. Her silver hair began to crisp and dry, brittle strands began to curl at odd angles. Lines streaked her face as her eyes began to droop. Her creamy pale flesh began to darken in places, marring her once perfect complexion. The kunoichi watched with fascination, never flinching or blinking as her posture began to droop and her body began to loose its luster. Second passed and she aged by decades. She glanced at the mirror and rolled her eyes. “You don’t frighten me, my looks are not important.” She said surely, her voice unwavering. Suddenly her normal appearance was back and still, she did not care.[/font][/blockquote]

She had obviously beaten the test of vanity, yet she remained in the mirror world. An absurdity if there ever was one. She had learned long ago however not to question those above her. Especially not something that made her profession possible. Thus the waiting game ensued. It was a real yawn a minute for a woman so used to being constantly on the go but she decided this time for rest was well worth it. She had much to do in the coming days thus she would rest as much as she could in the little time she had.

The world around her warped once more, leaving her surrounded by darkness this time. A large image appeared before her eyes, like a visit to the cinema. An empty field was before her… no not empty there were two figures in the distance. Slowly the image grew closer. Even from the distance she could recognize her own silvery hair the other person however was unknown, even when the picture was completely close she did not know the stranger, but she knew the signs of a battle and this was one. She was instantly enthralled in the scene unraveling before her eyes.

She watched as her own hands came together as if to perform a technique, a Hanakora technique by her judgment. Before she could finish her opponent had closed the gap, slamming into her and sending her flying through the air. She hurried to expand her wings but failed, crashing painfully into the ground. Kana winced and cursed herself. Long moments passed before the on screen Kana righted herself. Again her hands came together for a technique, Nara this time. Again her opponent closed, bashing into her. Sounds played through her ears, including the snapping of bone causing both females to lurch in pain.

Kana wanted to shout at the battling version of herself. Her opponent was a specialist or a master of the physical arts obviously. Why wasn’t she doing something to distance them? Flying would be ideal, or going underground, something to make herself unreachable. No instead she relied on hand seals and was forced to watch the brute slam her against a tree trunk. Her body was obviously screaming in pain as she crumpled to the ground. The real Kana shouted at herself furiously, this couldn’t be happening! It wasn’t real nor was it a sign of things to come! It just couldn’t be! Machiko Kana was not weak!

Tears touched her eyes as she shouted. “I am not that weak!” Frustration rose inside her as she shouted pointlessly at the projection. The image finally froze as did the kunoichi. The bird had found her vanity. She was not vain in the normal way of appearances but when it came to her skills, her battling talents such a loss was an insult. She was obsessed with strength and would not allow herself to beaten in such a ridiculous way. The bird cackled around her and the images dissolved. He had won this round and there was still more to come. Would she be able to pull through?[/font][/blockquote]

Kana sighed as she looked about the clearing she found herself in. She had failed her last task. It wasn’t the failure that annoyed her as much as her inability to overcome that streak of vanity that had found its way into her heart. She was determined to somehow overcome that… but how? The bird appeared once more, head cocked to one side as it watched the kunoichi. “You intrigue me little one. You’ve found your place in the spotlight much like we do, yet you dislike. I will test you again, I must learn more.” The bird informed her before flying off.

Before the kunoichi had a chance to question the bird she found herself on one end of a large group of people, the symbol of the bird shone brightly on the other side of the room, unnoticed by the other occupants. Cross the room, easy enough right? No all eyes were on her. As she took a step forward someone blocked her path. The woman opened with conversation. Kana stared in horror. Polite conversation, especially with strangers, was something she detested with a passion. This particular test was definitely cruel and unusual. Hesitantly the kunoichi replied with something she hoped was polite and the woman faded away very slowly.

She stepped forth again, glad that ordeal was over with, only to have a man confront her, frank sexual interest pouring from him as he let out a bawdy remark. Her body tensed in annoyance for a long moment as she contemplated slapping the man, instead she replied in a highly sarcastic fashion. The man stared and repeated his comment, not moving out of her path. It was then she realized the point of this test, she was meant to work on her people skills and to overcome challenges she would normally avoid. The bird was indeed intelligent, she would not be beaten again however.

She replied to the man flippantly, but not rudely. He nodded, obviously accepting her response before slipping away into the crowd allowing her to step forth once more. Finally the last person stepped before her, a foreboding female whose eyes spoke of mysteries. When she did not say anything Kana asked politely if she could pass but the woman shook her head and spoke. “What belongs to you but others use it more than you do?” A riddle. Kana frowned; she had never really cared for riddles. Why couldn’t it have been a question on tactics? She thought, supposing she would have to answer correctly to pass.

Her immediate guess was the village scrolls but that did not make sense. This woman did not know that she was a Kage. Also, Kana generalized, that the riddle would be applicable to all people thus making her original idea null and void. What did she have that others used? She began to think back to requests made of her over the years. Her father asking ‘Kana can you please clean up?’ or Mukuro’s question of ‘Kana are you okay?’. As she thought of these and of the questions in her tower it hit her. “My name!” She exclaimed triumphantly.[/font][/blockquote]

She had crossed the room and touched upon the symbol of the bird before awaking in her hotel room looking rather lost. She sat up and ran a hand through her hair unsurely. She looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly the voice from her dream echoed in her mind telling her to go ahead and attempt techniques with the version of the bird seal that she had recently learned… well in her dream. She kicked her feet out of the bed and rose to stretch into a standing position. Well she was rather used to these ridiculous dreams, so she figured she may as well try it out.

Her ring and index finger folded downwards and her thumb extended away from her palm. The motions were strange and uncomfortable, her muscles tensed and cramped in the unfamiliar position thus she released the seal. She stretched her hand for a long while before performing the hand seal once again. Her muscles were not as reluctant to fold into the half symbol which was an excellent sign; this told Kana she was ready to attempt using the hand seal in an actual technique. But would it succeed? Only practice would tell and thus she would have to try. Her hands began the string of hand seals.

As she reached the bird hand seal she switched to performing the one handed version of the seal. Her chakra wavered as she attempted this seal. Her eyes closed as she focused her concentration on gathering the mystical energy with the unfamiliar hand seal. Her face scrunched in concentration as the energy began to flow slowly into her hands thus allowing her to complete the technique though it was slow coming. She needed to continue on with the practice until she could perform a technique at normal speed with the new hand seal. It took her a moment to decide what technique she could use but then she realized what she could use.

Her hands would begin the string of hand seals once more, performing every seal she could with one hand, including the bird hand seal. The chakra flowed more easily this time, allowing flowers to blossom around her bed. The kunoichi smiled and nodded. It was a success for sure though she wanted to experiment with more difficult techniques now. Her hands began to perform another set of hand seals; one she hoped would not destroy her hotel room. She only hoped it would succeed. For what seemed like the millionth time in her life she performed a string of hand seals.

Wind gathered into a cage in her room, causing the pressure in the room to change drastically. The carpet began to wear down at amazing speeds and the kunoichi quickly dispelled her technique. She sighed and lay back on the bed. She had performed the stupid technique with the hand seal she had been compelled to learn perhaps she could get a decent nights rest for now. She needed to prepare for the journey ahead. She covered a yawn with her hand and closed her eyes ready to drifted into what she hoped was a peaceful nights sleep.[/font][/blockquote]

The kunoichi fell back to sleep, letting it wrap about her like a blanket. The hotel room blurred and gave way to the strange images of her dreams. Once again she found herself in that strange dream world, perched atop a fallen tree as she waited, seemingly patiently, for someone to arrive. Her legs kicked back and forth as a shadow made itself seen in the distance. As it came closer she could see that it was not a shadow but a gigantic black dog. The creature yipped to make his presence known before shaking his body, releasing loose fur and resettling himself.

Kana looked at the canine and waited. “So you wish to learn the sign of the dog! Good enough for me, time to see if you’ve got what it takes. Dogs are nosy after all!” And with that the world around her began to dissolve. She was thrown into a forest with… “Mukuro!” She exclaimed. He glared at her coldly. “Quiet they’ll hear us!” He replied pointing to the castle. Kana frowned. They were on a mission of some kind and she was supposed to continue this mission without any information. Nosy indeed, this would require a stroke of genius, not simply a touch of nosiness.

Her eyes followed Mukuro’s to an upper window of the castle. Athena was no where in sight and calling her would give away their position. She closed her eyes and let the sounds come to her as she thought. There were obviously guards posted or they would’ve been closer to their target. Whoever was up there was keeping their voice low. She could scale a tree but she would be seen that way. She was in a rather puzzling situation. Quietly she moved closer, hoping to get a look at the defenses which she would have to bypass to finish this task.

As she got closer she could hear a voice carrying upon the wind… it was the guards not the targets. Curiously she leaned closer hoping to hear what they were saying. The guards muttered of exhaustion before agreeing to take a break, they’d be fine for ten minutes. The kunoichi grinned wolfishly. Now there was the information she needed. She waited to hear their footsteps before edging closer. The security of this place was almost laughable. She continued to move closer, using shadows to conceal her movements. The gate was non existent, just a wall with a hole in it.

Slowly the kunoichi entered and turned to the right, closest to the window where the men were. A hand covered her mouth and nose as his other hand braced her body. She tried to struggle against the hold but the man, she was fairly sure it was a man, was far too strong for her. Minutes passed where the girl was without oxygen before she fell limp against him. Her last coherent thought passed through her mind, curiosity killed the cat but the still struggling part of her mind reminded her that satisfaction brought it back. What will happen to our heroine? The kunoichi awoke in a damp room, unable to move her anything except her head. She struggled to sit but some type of binding prevented this. She was alone save for a dog. “You proved you’re nosy; now let’s see what your loyalty is like.” The animal explained before vanishing. Kana groaned and slumped against the chair. “I hate dogs.” She moaned softly, the words echoing through the dark room. Footsteps approached and she tensed. She needed to get free somehow and the sooner the better. Two men swung open the door and she stopped her rather violent attempts to break her bonds. Now it was time for a more subtle art.

A light flickered before her, causing her to wince. “Who sent you?” One of the males asked. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. These men had been watching far too many gangster movies. “Why I was just making a delivery!” Kana exclaimed with the right amount of terror in her voice. If she did not show fear these brutes would know she was lying. Having access to an invariable smorgasbord of ANBU scrolls she knew a little something about interrogation. “We found an insane amount of weaponry on you!” The man chided, obviously unwilling to believe her falsehood. “That’s what I was delivering!”

“With a Kumogakure headband?” He demanded. Shit. Not all was lost however. “I found it in the forest!” She exclaimed as her body shook with false terror. The men, while asking questions, really didn’t use anything to force her to tell the truth or make her more willing. They weren’t too bright it seemed. One of them shoved a map beneath her face. “Where is the location of the village?” He demanded. Kana stared blankly at the map, her eyes focused somewhere in the middle of the ocean. “Get bent.” She replied coldly. It wasn’t the time to play games anymore.

“We already have the dark haired kid you were with. You can either tell us, or he can.” The man said in what was supposed to be a menacing tone. Mukuro couldn’t be broken; his Sharingan would have him out of there in no time. “I guess it isn’t obvious but I’m not telling you anything.” Kana replied coldly as she shifted her wrists. Fibers brushed against her skin. Rope! They had bound her with rope! With a laugh she worked her hands and the ropes fell away. Her hands rose before her and quickly performed a set of seals before clapping her hands.

Lightning clapped and the two men were instantly stunned. Thinking quickly she used her ropes to hog tie the men and peered out into the other room of the dungeon basement combination. Turns out they didn’t have her partner but she was a lot closer to find out what was going on in this castle that was so worth knowing. With the skill of well… a ninja she would sneak to the stairs and ascend, completely prepared for any more idiotic guards who came her way. She still hated dogs but this was turning out to be rather fun, she had to admit. And her curiosity had gotten the better of her, she had to keep going and find out what exactly was going on.[/font][/blockquote]

The castle was dank. The interior was very depressing and looked like no one had cared for it in years. Regardless Kana was determined to press on. The men had been on the third floor and it seemed like the only guards were the two she had properly dispatched. Finding Mukuro would be one course of action but she was having too much fun. When she emerged upstairs she found herself in a long hallway with many doors. She went to the first door and placed her ear up against it. Silence greeted her so she carefully pushed open the door to find it filled with beautiful kimonos.

Reluctantly she drug herself away from this room and to the one across the hall, closing the door behind her. The next room held enough candle sticks to keep her village lit for a year. She was in awe at the grandeur these rooms held, and vaguely surprised that none of them seemed to be rooms to live in. Perhaps this place was only used for storage. The third room held what appeared to be hundreds of mannequins. Kana shuddered at the utter creepiness of the scene before her, a mannequin orgy, before shutting the door. Her progress was slow but enjoyable… well for the most part.

Another door held a treasure trove of silverware… for what point and purpose she had no idea. The next door she opened however was a stair case. Silently she made her way to the second floor… except there was no second floor, only the stairs to a third floor. Creeping like a mouse she ascended, not knowing if there were rooms on that floor other than the one the mysterious men occupied. As she neared the door she heard scuffling noises and drowned out speech. She dropped to press her ear against the key hole and waited, this was turning out to be rather fun.

The voices were difficult to interpret. Both were male, one older and fatter and the other younger and thinner, at least that was her guess. The older man demanded his money, saying the transaction couldn’t be completed with out it. The younger man angrily replied that he needed more time or if he could have half of the stuff first. What were they talking about? Selling something? The mannequins she had found downstairs? She shuddered at that particularly perverted thought. It could be something worse however… like drugs. The older man stated that he wouldn’t touch any of it until he was properly paid, in full of course.

The kunoichi waited in frustration as she contemplated her course of action. Keep listening or bust in, or find Mukuro. A thud reached her ears. Someone, presumably the younger male had hit something. She bit her lip to repress her giggle as she heard a rather pathetic “Ow! I need a band-aid!” The older man laughed heartily and told him that blood would probably eat through the walls. Wait blood eating through the walls? Kana burst open the door just as the young man demanded ‘the stuff’ which the old man was holding. A box of crayons… and a handful of coloring books.[/font][/blockquote]

Kana woke up in her bed looking around manically. What craziness was this? She was supposed to be resting up for tomorrow’s big event but no, she was getting cracked out dreams. Her own subconscious was forcing her to train. As she sat up she decided she really needed to visit a therapist when she got home. She stifled a yawn and decided that, just as before, she might as well try the hand seal and get it over with before some stupid ghost dog tried to ambush her… not that this had ever happened before but well, just in case… you know.

In formation the dog was said to be the easiest of all the one handed seals. In fact it simple consisted of curling all of your fingers down towards the palm. Kana experimentally performed this and was elated to see that, for once, she was not receiving strange cramps like usual. Well there went the idea of practicing the formation of the seal for the next good bit, it was too simple to spend all too much time on, though she did take a minute to ponder the fact that the seal ironically looked like a paw… minus the claws… if you squinted.

With the formation down she would be forced to proceed to gathering chakra, a feat that she would pursue doggedly… pun totally intended. Her hand twisted into the zodiac symbol as she delved into the pool of mystical energy called chakra. The energy swirled and splashed but seemed reluctant to be called forth. A giggle passed her lips as she realized her hand seal had just been dissed by her chakra but she consented to try again due to the pure hilarity of the incident. Slowly she would coax her chakra from its apparent slumber, a feat that required the same caution as poking a sleeping bear.

The energy rose slowly to stream through her body, rising through her torso and spreading down into her arm and finally to her hand. The amount gathered was not great but it was better than nothing. She shook her hand to free her hand of the tingling sensation as she continued to call upon more chakra, hoping to gather an amount equal to that of a normal hand symbol. She released the seal and tried again because speed was important as well. Chakra came more quickly this time and more willingly. A smile crossed her face as she let the chakra recoil back into her system.

With that done she just had to attempt using the seal in an actual technique. She was exhausted but there was no point in trying to sleep now. She had to finish her technique or something would surely wake her. She sighed and covered a yawn once more. Just a moment of rest to let her regain a normal train of thought is what she needed. Her mind moved as she thought for a technique she could use that included the hand seal she was currently working on.[/font][/blockquote]

The sun began to rise over the horizon. The girl stifled yet another yawn. She knew it was time to start her training but she was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Begrudgingly she would pursue her task though. She knew after she awakened from her testing dreams that she was often close to completion of whatever technique that may be therefore deviating now would be a waste of her time both awake and asleep. A sigh passed over her pale lips and she stretched her hand lightly as she settled upon a worthy technique to try with this hand seal.

Her hands came together as she began performing a set of hand seals most of them, dog included, being of the one handed variety. Her chakra gathered slowly as she performed the seals. It seemed like her chakra had hit a type of road block, refusing to progress like she would need it to allow completion of the technique which will remain unnamed. Frustrated the kunoichi dispelled the technique, letting her chakra recoil in a sense. She sighed softly and shook out her arms and hands as if it would somehow help her training, she wasn’t even quite sure why she did it but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

She would perform the hand seals again, calling upon her chakra and hopefully gathering enough for the technique. The mystical energy rose from her center and began to stream outwards, working its way through the complexities of the chakra circulatory system. The energy streamed down her and through her hand, gathering in her fingers before she moved on to the rest of the seals. An orb of lightning came to life and exploded in a vortex. A vortex of success! Reasonably pleased with her success in creating a stormy orb of doom she would attempt one technique that was more difficult just in case.

Once again, she was pretty sure she was up to a million and six sets of hand seals in her life now, she would perform the hand seals for a technique, the string being longer this time due to the technique being more advanced and thus requiring expert control for her one handed dog. The hand seals flowed and the chakra began to rise, streaming through her body once more as it gathered to perform an advanced type of genjutsu that she had chosen because… who am I kidding it was a totally random choice. Anywho the chakra gathered expertly with the seal and the kunoichi released the illusion to cause doom upon the world.

Satisfied with her work Kana would leap upon her bed and clap her hands together in joy before breaking out into a ridiculous dance and singing into her hair brush. “Well I’m glad I got that out of my system!” She exclaimed before collapsing back onto the bed and letting her crimson eyes close thus drifting off into worlds of sugar plums and candy houses and hopefully no psychotic zodiac members who had the crazy ideas of testing her likelihood or sending her on missions of pure crack and insanity like the last two dreams she had experienced… who knew though?[/font][/blockquote]

Special: The user may fire off their created weeds to increase spread rate and area, as well as cause a bit of damage.
Drawback: Weeds used are lost in the process. Weeds only travel in a straight line, so dodging is similar to dodging a kunai.
Description: After performing the handseals, any weeds the user chooses to use are fired at any target within 50 meters. They are sharpened by chakra and slice into whatever they strike. In addition wherever they strike five spores are implanted (even if the weed cannot penetrate the object) which grow to full size in the regular "Cancerous Weeds" time.

Was there no end to the capabilities of these ridiculous weeds? I had always hated weeds but their uses were incredible, I couldn’t resist. I had learned to both create the weeds, increase their strength, and cause them to ooze glue. Now I had found a technique that would cause them to act in a kunai like fashion. Though it sacrificed that weed five more would grow from the sacrifice. It haunted me knowing this would be one of the last techniques I would have time to train before I departed but I could only hope for the best. My hard work would pay off I was sure.

For what seemed like the hundredth time that day I would begin a set of hand seals. I would slowly work my way through the seals, once again becoming familiar with the new set of zodiac symbols. I sighed softly as I practiced the transitions. It was so dull and repetitive, that was what I hated about training. After about the eight repetitions I would begin to gather my chakra as I progressed through the seals. The gentle hum of the mystical energy filled my body and began to flow outwards into the weeds I had created shortly before beginning this technique.

The chakra enveloped the weed successfully now it was just a matter of making the technique work. She concentrated the chakra into a small blast meant to jettison the weed forwards. The weed blasted from the ground and sailed through the sky… sailing…sailing… oh and crashing. What a beautiful disaster. There was no time, however, to mourn the weed like a dead friend. Constant vigilance! Again she performed the technique and pushed her chakra into the little plant and caused it to burst forth from the ground faster than a speeding bullet! Yes that’s it in the sky~ It’s a bird… it’s a plane… ah no it’s just a weed.

But the weed did slam into a tree with cutting force! She let out an exclamation of joy as the weedy creation sent out its spores. Within seconds it was multiplying with five base weeds to overtake the tree so foolish as to stand in its path! However this was certainly not the limit of this technique! According to her research she could perform this with multiple weeds at once! An interesting proposition, especially interesting considering it wasn’t the fun kind of proposition! With this wonderfully wonderful idea in her head the kunoichi made hand seals and nodded her head!

Five weeds burst forth into the sky, a somber sacrifice you cannot deny! Those weeds they soared, upon a gate the gorged. One by one the spores released, if she wished so glue could seep! The kunoichi would rest, she had done her best. With hard work done it was time for fun! Though she had much work to do she was quite pleased and hopes you are too. For a smiling face and a new technique is a rather difficult combination to beat! So smile bright and say good night, before the dawn doth show its light!

The user may have one of their butterflies land on the opponent, thus coating them with their pheromones. This allows the users other butterflies to sense the opponent and track them within a 50 meter radius.

Kana hovered anxiously in wherever the heck she was, it wasn’t really clear. Out of the blue she decided to learn a random Kitateha technique. She decided this would be a great idea since she had never had to track anybody in a 50m radius before in her life so she may as well learn how… y’know just in case. Thankfully she had her body completely scarred and thus had the ritual that allowed her to perform the technique. With a serene and pretty freaking creepy smile she would sit upon a log and whistle for Athena, for a tracking target that just happened to be there! What a wonderfully planned out coincidence!

Her hand came together in oh my god you guessed it! Hand seals! One by one and two by the kunoichi performed them all with the ease of familiarity because if you really thought about it, it was impossible for this many techniques to exist without having any overlapping hand seals. But back on track there were hand seals, and chakra was gathered and stuff happened. Well the butterflies got all excited by the chakra and went over and uh… pollinated the unsuspecting owl. Someone call PETA please because this cannot be legal. So on a whistled command the owl took flight, probably thankful to get away from that crazy biznitch.

As Athena disappeared into the forest Kana leapt to her feet and prayed she could get the distancing right. Athena would somehow understand how to be a good uke for this technique. Thus the kunoichi would shout “Butterflies goooo!” Female butterflies had pollinated the owls so the males led the way after the owl in which they currently lusted over due to her butterfly like smell. Kana followed close behind but at the five meter range the silly creatures lost interest. Kana whistled calling the poor owl back to her. She performed the hand seals once again; Kana not the owl, and the butterflies pollinated her once more make her smell all deliciously sexy.

And again the majestically winged creature took flight in her change to escape! The butterflies were hot on her trail though! Whatever the hell that means. Kana was able to keep up the pace because honestly how fast can a butterfly move? Athena called out that they ha passed the five meter range and proceeded every time they hit a ten meter mark because birds are just that good at judging human distances and doing math! Kana and the butterflies kept pace until they reached forty-five meters. Not to be outdone Kana urged the creatures forth, determined to reach her goal.

And it turned out they were the little butterflies that could because low and behold they succeeded! The unhappy owl plunged into a nearby stream, somehow not drowning or getting water logged, to wash off the hormones or pollen or whatever it was and Kana would hug the owl and spin her in a circle before giving all of her butterflies kisses… butterfly kisses of course. She was just positive that one day before she died that this technique would come in handy, though she was probably wrong and would be killed for even thinking such a useless technique could ever be used.

Drawback: The technique has no offensive value beyond distracting the opponent. Only lasts for three turns. Weak to fire.
Description: By channeling chakra throughout a mass of flower petals, the user is capable of lifting them up into the air and causing them to float around in circles. The petals move very quickly, around and about in a circle, which can cause a huge distraction inside of a fight. The flowers will circle inside of a dome of chakra that can be no larger than ten meters in diameter for every rank of Difficulty Class that the user has obtained. The dome will remain only for three turns, unless the user obtains mastery over the Hanakora Clan, in which case, the dome will remain for five turns.
Limit: Hanakora Clan Puranto Ninpou : Haeru.

And still she was waiting for the exams to start. Instead of wasting her time however she would continuing training until the very last second. She has back to her training in the Hanakora clan which had become that much more powerful for her now that she lacked the need for seeds which normally troubled a Hana Shinobi. The technique in question was relatively useless save for a distraction but it allowed progress to more violent technique that would surely come in handy. Thus with her mind set on conquering this quickly she would begin, scroll nearby just in case she needed to reference it.

The first step was, as per usual, hand seals. Her hand came together to drift rather lazily through the required zodiac symbols. One by one she would progress through the seals. After a few minutes she decided she was reasonably familiarized she would proceed to… well doing the same exact thing but multitasking by gathering her chakra at the same time. Good thing she was a woman since they were naturally better at this. Thus she continued to perform the overly boring zodiac symbols and drew upon her chakra. More and more of the mystical energy would gather as each sign was performed expertly.

Thankfully she just happened to have a field of flowers handy and let the chakra wash over said field, seeping into the plants and somehow dislodging the petals from their wonderful homes. Or at least that was the general idea. The petals seemed unwilling to budge for love or chakra. And yes she did try loving them to gain an edge with the technique. Finally she decided to use and old trick, concentrating her chakra, shrinking it down before letting it explode outwards and thus blast the petals straight off of the flowers. She smiled slightly, take that plant life.

With that done she let the petals hover above the ground, magically suspended by her chakra like a magician levitating his gorgeous assistant. Now it was just the work of making the flowers into a dome. I bet a magician never did that with his assistant. With the image in her mind she would lift the flower petals, letting them wash over each other and roll upwards to create her dome. It was tedious work but not over all difficult. With that done she just had to make the dome spin… like a top… or maybe the magicians assistant, you never know.

She flicked her fingers towards the dome and watch as it began to rotate before her very eyes. For long minutes she watched the rotation before she started to get dizzy. She quickly dispelled the flowery dome and watched petals rain down like blood upon the land… I mean rain… yeah rain. The kunoichi smiled happily and scooped up a handful of flower petals before throwing them into the air and watching them snow down once more. The scent of the petals wafted over her making the experience all the more enjoyable. It was a few minutes well spent for certain.

Drawback: The opponent is capable of escaping the technique if it is countered properly. Other Hanakora techniques are not capable of being used with the flowers that are a part of the technique. Blocks vision between the user and the opponent. Target must be standing in a field of flowers. Weak to fire.
Description: Performing the handseals for the technique, the user will then channel their chakra into a great host of flower petals which will then begin to rapidly encircle the opponent. The spinning flower petals are capable of creating a vortex that is, at maximum, five meters in diameter, twenty meters high, and at minimum two meters in diameter and five meters high. The combination of the high speed rotation as well as the user's chakra, which hardens the flower petals to resist assault, creates a strong cage that is difficult to escape from. Opponents who are of a lesser difficulty class than the user will find their ability to escape zero without seriously injuring themselves. Opponents who are of the same difficulty class as the user are capable of escaping, but will struggle to do so. Finally, opponents of a higher difficulty class than the user will be capable of breaking out of the cyclone with little to no effort. Due to the chakra inside of the flowers already, they may not be used for any other Hanakora techniques.

Now it was time for her to progress onto the technique she had actually wanted to learn in the first place. In reality it was a more over powered… I mean advanced version of the original technique, which was exactly what she wanted. This created the self same dome but made the flower petals harder thus causing damage if someone attempted to escape. The technique also indicated that no one lower class than her could even attempt to break her spinning vortex of doom, I mean flowers. Once again she would set the scroll aside in case she needed to reference it, even though she never did.

Once again she would need to learn a string of hand seals, because that never happened. One by one she would proceed as always so as to become a little more familiar than she would like to be with the string of zodiac symbols. Once she found herself completely comfortable with the annoyance that was the hand seals she would move on to the fun idea of multitasking… which meant hand seals and chakra. What a lucky girl she was. Thus she performed the hand signs for about the thirtieth time as she worked on gathering the mystical energy that was her chakra.

She completed the task excellently, if she did say so herself, which she didn’t. Anyone the flower dome would form at its normal size, her first step was to conquer the ability to change the size of the dome. Pressing more chakra into the wall of petals she drew them outwards, expanding the range and attempting to calculate how many opponents she could trap with the technique. With her mind still working she would press in on the cages, thus compressing it until she reached its smallest size. She could prevent any serious movements from here. Overall she was liking the technique.

She had completed the size test first, like any good woman would. Now she just had to harden the petals and increase the speed of the rotation. She let some of her chakra press into the petals individually with the thought of reinforcing them in mind. A pearly blue sheen covered the daisy like petals and the kunoichi poked at one hopefully to find it had stiffened. Hehe. The rotation was defined as needing to be high speed, whatever the heck that vagueness meant. With that in mind she would press more chakra into the mix causing rotation as a whole unit and individual rotation of the petals. Ouch.

Satisfied the kunoichi would release her flowery vortex in another explosion of petals and color. The girl collapsed into the pile of petals like most would leaves in fall. She was that much closer to the exams beginning and it was one more technique that could possibly come in handy. To be honest you could never really say what would be needed, that was one of the tests of the exams as a whole, be prepared for anything. Machiko Kana was prepared like a freaking boy scout too. She had trained hard and put much thought into both her training and her weaponry. Hopefully it would pay off.
