Experience: Unfortunately, I can't say I've ever been a staff member on a roleplay site before. That aside...

Several people have told me I ought to try out for assistant, since I enjoy helping out newcomers (and not so newcomers) in the CBox on a regular basis. I tried once before, but destroyed my own application after failing a pop quiz on some of the rules. Now that I've studied some and gained more confidence, I'm taking my chances and applying once more.

First and foremost, I'm extremely active. Maybe not in my number of roleplay posts, which can be problematic when one is locked in a thread with several people, but just overall on the site. I'm on almost every day, so activity shouldn't be a problem. While looking at my last fifty or so posts might not indicate that I'm helping, most of my assistance is in the CBox.

I've been studying the indexes a lot lately, so I'm moderately confident in my own knowledge of the rules (though I'm still on shaky ground with stuff like Hitobitomae and Arishu). I'm generally amiable, and I'm sure I can handle the barrage of PMs that assistants get.

Name Sun Shield

Type: Primary.
Effect: A shield that is heavy and used primarily for an offensive defense. Special and unique.
Special: Sun Shield Training Techniques needed to lift the weapon.
Drawback: Shield is heavy, and even with training, controlling it is difficult. Slow moving even with training. All specialized techniques within this shield have the drawback of shocking the user for equal damage upon wielding, even if not stated within the technique itself.
Description: ::Picture:: A simple, gold colored shield that is about 4 foot in diameter in all directions. It is made, from a non magnetic golden alloy. The sides of the shield are razor sharp and easily cut through bone. There are two straps fastened on its back, leather in material. On the shields front, in the dead center of it, there is a symbol, made from the same alloy. This symbol is of the Sun, representing the light and shine the sun provides the world everyday. This shield was not only made for Defense, but also offense. The shield weighs an awful lot, and thus training just to wield such a massive shield is needed. The shield can withstand 1 A Rank attack. This converts into A rank, B Rank, C Rank, D Rank, and so forth respectively. The shield is often used in affiliation with the Lightning Release for offensive attacks while on the Defensive. A wise man always said, a good offense, is the best defense. The shield weighs specifically 300 pounds, and thus only people strong enough can even lift this thing let alone use this weapon effectively in combat or as a defense. The shield is held upon the persons hands with a strap of leather, and a metal pipe along the rear end of it. They grasp the pipe, and slip their arm in through the leather strap.
Limit: Taijutsu Specialist, or Taijutsu Master that can mold chakra (If looking to go into techniques that require chakra).
Cost: 20,000 Ryo, Hidden Village of Cloud, Cannot be Started with.

Personality:

Yoshi is a man of many faces, and many emotions. Yoshi is a friend before an enemy, almost always, although there are a few exceptions. Although he does like destroying things on an almost daily basis, he is smarter then one would think, and not crazy as others have thought as well. Yoshi is not a man who needs to show that he has no emotion in order to prove he is strong. If need be, he can settle that within the battle field. His friendly demeanor comes mainly from his time spent drifting and traveling about.

That said, being friendly and trustworthy are two different things, Yoshi knows this well. Just because he is friendly, does not make him trust everyone under the sun. You must earn Yoshi's trust first before anything can be instilled otherwise with the drifter. Yoshi has met quite the amount of people and thus has had his trust broken quite alot. This isn't say he trusts no one, just it is indeed difficult to earn said trust is all.

One thing you can count on, is Yoshi's joker ways. He is quite the prank artist, and will go to great lengths if the perfect prank opportunity presents itself to him. However, with pranks, one must know of how Yoshi is. He is not exactly going to prank you upon first meeting you, but that doesn't stop him from making fun of you or simply joking around. Of course, Yoshi has a great sense of humor as well, finding many of other people's jokes funny (So long as they are good, he is not beyond not laughing, if the jokes not funny.)

Beneath the fun loving and great guy Yoshi is, is the other side to the Shitakuma. The Assassin. Yoshi is quite the battle ready warrior. He hunts down Shinobi within the BINGO Book for a great deal of revenue, as well as taking on odd job tasks around the world during his travels for bartenders, farmers, hell, even some shinobi from random villages who need help. Far as Yoshi's concerned? He is a gun for hire. This isn't to say he is completely cocky, he still has respect for his opponents and etc. Infact, he has been found to compete in tournaments and things of that nature as well from time to time to test his mettle. Although mean when the going gets rough, and its payday, AKA time to kill, Yoshi is an all around great guy.

Appearance:

Yoshi's exterior is quite unique, due to him being visually blind. However, he still remains pretty stylish somehow. Starting from the bottom, Yoshi wears a pair of green shoes, with white laces. The are green, primarily because Yoshi can't see, he wears them because they are extremely comfortable. He wears white ankle socks as well, to free up leg movement and such. He wears a pair of black loose slacks, made from a silk material. Very lightweight and flexible for easy movement while fighting.

He wears a belt, too. Made from a combination of wool and string, also black in color. The belt is unique as well, as it bears a few green stripes vertically going down it along the waistband. The buckle is probably the coolest part of the belt. It is a skull, black in color, with red eyes. Metal in material of course, it is something that makes him unmistakable for someone else. His torso is pretty plain though. He does not wear a shirt, mainly. He does from time to time, not unless the weather bears it needed. Over that he wears a nice leather jacket, rather large one at that. The jacket covers the arm fully, and is almost trench coat like in length, coming all the way down to knee level. The coat is always open, with a small red cross like zipper. The collar is always folded down too. The symbol of the Shitakuma clan is plastered in Red on the back of of leather jacket.

He is quite chizzled in the ab region, being a man who frequents the gym and fighting, both in the ring and on the bar scene. On his hands and arm region however, he wears almost constantly, a pair of white boxer wraps on the length of his forearms and hands completely, leaving nothing but the mid finger area and beyond exposed. He has longer blonde hair, coming down to about chin level. The hair is pretty straight forward and well kept. His eyes due to his bloodline trait, are completely white, not even a pupil to show for it, perhaps even worst looking then the Hyuuga. However one would almost never see his eyes, as he is constantly blindfolded. A black blindfold covers his eyes at all times.

Ninjutsu:

Kusomimi (HellsEars)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: Without this Jutsu the Clan is capable of just listening with sharpen hearing. What this Jutsu does is by using the chakra along their eardrum, labyrinth system, as well as the outer ear of the body the user makes their ear into something of a sonar. This sonar system enables the brain to remember certain points by sound wave frequencies that hits the ear from a pebble hitting the water, to a person walking along grass. The Sonar system enables the Shitakuma clan to basically see. This is greatly used when Rain falls down for every time a drop hits the ground it emits a sound so basically they are capable to see for the first time in their lives. When first learned the distance that one is capable of understanding and remembering is the distance of fifty meters. After each time learned the distance goes up by twenty meters.
Special: The first time learned the user must do the signs of Dragon, Rabbit, Dragon, Ram. After the first time there would be no need for the seals.
Drawback: Must be trained into this more then once. Without the proper training of a technique such as Kusokesuni and Advanced version sounds could cause dizziness or damage to the user. The sounds to create this must be sounds that are greatly abrupt and fast which must be near the ear like a Flash/Bang grenade.
Description: When sound frequencies hit the ear it creates a sonar in which the mind remembers in a certain distance until the sound waves hit the ear once again. It looks as if the user is capable of seeing in such a way but it is just a technique that enables the user to know where to go and how far objects are at. They are capable of seeing shapes, and size, but the thing is they are not capable of seeing defined objects.
Limit: Only a technique for the Shitakuma Clan

Kusokesuni (Hells Drownout)
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu (Somewhat)
Effect: With the use of one's ears and when a person needs to use their sense of hearing to see, the Kusokensuni is a specialized technique in which the user of the Shitakuma clan is capable of drowning out certain sounds waves up to certain frequencies. Example: If a Shitakuma member is in a large battle where their is a fairly amount of yelling and fighting going around, the person is capable of drowning out all sounds to a certain frequency for example like lets say the sound waves that is being pushed from the ground giving more stability. The technique must be learned ten times. Reason why is due to the fact that each time learned a user is capable of drowning out up to a certain amount. When first learned the user is capable of drowning out frequencies up to ten thousand hertz. After mastered the user is capable of drowning out up to one hundred thousand hertz of frequency. Remember a normal human is capable of hearing up to twenty thousand, this is way beyond then that of a regular body.
Special: When first learned the user needs to use the hand signs of Boar, Dragon, Tiger, and Horse. After the first time, hand signs is not needed.
Drawback: Drawback is that the user must train in this type of technique more then once in order to drown up higher frequencies. Another drawback is the fact that they are only capable of listening to one frequency at a time, so in a sense if they wished to listen to their own comrades, it be slightly more difficult that creates a massive confusion in which case may go against each other for a moment or two until the sounds is justified to where they understand.
Description: The way this feels is that the user is capable of drowning out certain frequencies in which they can hear certain sounds to accurately pin point where they need to go. What is interesting was the way this works, basically it is like a strong sensory. Within the mind of the user all sounds are muffled to an extent as the sound they concentrate on comes forth with more of accurate sense. The sensory and the sounds still work, in which they are capable to see. Example if there were a strong amount of yelling, the sound waves that hit the ears still react in which they can still use as a radar to help them move about (Acts like they can see figures) but of course does not damage the user's sense of balance and hearing.
Limit: Only those of the Shitakuma clan is capable of performing.

Tremor Sense
Rank: "D" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: By pouring their chakra into the ground, by using the earth release the user is capable of sensing or seeing in a sense what is along the ground, in the ground, identifying what is around them.
Special: ---
Drawback: Someone needs to touch the ground in order for the person to see. This means that even the user can see by stepping. This also means that the user must be touching the ground at all times. This technique does not work on water, sand, or metal or ice. Reasons why is because of how each is constructed. The ground is to loose for the user to see the vibrations along the ground, or is to concentrated which creates less vibrations.
Description: When first learned the user is capable of seeing in a radius of five meters. After each time learned it increases by ten meters. When ever the user steps, or when another steps in the radius of tremor sense, the mind of the user picks up the vibrations along the feet creating a somewhat of a picture of the user. Since people have water constricted within their own bodies as well as metalic components of the body a user could see the movements of the body in blur like motion, where they can guess if an attack is coming towards them. This is the beginning stage of the tremor sense technique and is the foundation of the tremor sense techniques. When learned their is a thirty percent chance that the user is capable of defending against melee attacks within arms reach. This however does not mean that after each attack someone comes forth to role a die. It just means that the chances of trying to stop melee attacks is not as well or as concentrated as one would wish it to be.
Limit: Anyone can learn, but it takes an extreme amount of chakra unless they master earth techniques or is part of the Shitakuma clan. Can only be learned if learning the blind way of life.

Shotgun
Rank: "C"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A strong punching technique where the user hits multiple times with great speed in multiple random directions making it seem as if the user had shot a shotgun.
Special: ---
Drawback: Depending on the amount of movements the user has depends on the amount of attacks the user is capable of attacking.
Description: A rapid series of quick shots delivered from long range in a sequence so fast that it is nearly impossible to dodge them all. The Shotgun is especially troublesome to Infighters as they literally form a wall of punches, keeping them at bay. Hayami is able to use the Shotgun with either his left or right arm and usually alternates between the two in succession, though he can throw these high-speed punches with both arms simultaneously. Normally a person is capable of attacking with their left and right hand within one movement one time. With Shotgun the user is capable of attacking two times with their left hand, and two times with their right hand per movement equal to that of the whole round. When the user attacks they are capable of attacking faster, but they attack wildly, their attacks are never precise and they are not very accurate as well. Speed is gained but accuracy drops down dramatically. Some believe it is best to pin the opponent down against the wall, or against the ground before the user is capable of attacking correctly.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know the Four Punching Basics.

Summon Chakra Sphere
Rank: "A", "D", "D", "D", "D"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a sphere of thin Hollow sphere of chakra that slowly rotates around the user. In this form, the sphere is useless and harmless, but when used in conjunction with other moves and forms, this orb can be destructive.
Special: "Handseals". Does not require handseals if user has a "Chakra Gate" open.
Drawback: User can have no more then 5 Chakra Sphere's hovering over them at any one time. If the orb is struck without being used, it dissipates, and the chakra once used to create it is lost forever. Normal eyesight may see such sphere's, as they are blue in color.
Description: User holds the Tiger handseals as they gather a small amount of chakra around their body. A small orb of hollow chakra, barely of "D" rank amount of chakra seems to appear out of the sky, radiating from the users being, hovering around their head about a meter away from them. This orb of chakra is harmless and meaningless in this form and can be walked through. In fact, striking the orb will cause it to disparate into nothingness, causing the need for another. This technique is only takes a "E" Rank of chakra per sphere. Reasons for it being "A" rank at first is not for how much chakra is used, but rather the skill it requires to summon such a thing. This technique must be learned five times in total. Each time learned, allows the hovering of another Chakra Sphere, totaling in 5.
Limit: Must be within Musha Shukke Fuu

History:

My story starts quite some time ago. I was born about 20 years ago in a small caravan of merchants, known as the Shitakuma clan. I was born blind like the other 80% of the clan is. It sucks, I know, but I benefit from it more then anything. I'll explain later. Basically I grew up as a slave. I know, your probably wondering how. Well, turns out when I was born, either my parents couldn't afford me, I was kidnapped, or they sold me to the black market as a slave on purpose for profit. Whatever the case, here I am. Well, as the story goes, I grew up in a little place called the land of fire. My "father?" You'll never guess, so I'll just tell you. Apachai Hopachai, the Muy Thai "God of Death." The Irony of all this? I don't know any Muy Thai to this date. He thought it was funny to never teach me anything. I would always ask, but he would never teach me. He always said I was like a son to him, yet treated me like a slave. Whatever, I could give two shits about him now, I hope he doesn't die before I kill him. I grew up with him within his Dojo. Not many people even know what he looks like. I do. I know alot about him actually. I was one of the few people he opened up too. I mean, being his son/slave I guess he kinda had no one else, other then the loads of women he had come in, but they were there for other reasons. Needless to say I had to learn my own self defense tactics.

Well, as a borderline slave for Apachai, I had to do alot of odd jobs, including going to bars and paying off debts, as well as beating the debts out of people who loaned money off of him. I had to do such without any knowledge of Muy thai, or any style for that matter. It was basically trial by fire. The guy I had to face was a Taijutsu specialist, yet luckily I was able to out smart him on the fly. I had quickly became battle tested and hardened, I quickly became a brawler. I had to rely heavily on instincts and brute force to win my fights. Obviously, Apachai thought I would walk to my death to collect his debts, but such was not the case. I'm not getting into every little detail of my battles but a long story short, I was the last man standing each time. Pretty good for a blind guy, eh? Apachai quickly knew he had a little gem in me, and would make damn good use of me. I was still young, but apparently effective enough. I was more or less a punching bag for Apachai and his students. I wouldn't be an easy punching bag though, and they knew it damn well. I beat the ever living shit out of a few of his close students. I wasn't good enough at seeing with my ears yet and got beat a few times, but it got to the point where I was starting to hate this guy. He never showed and love or care, and he always made me run errands and yelled at me, frequently.

I had to get away. I was locked away in a cage at night, even when I a teenager he still didn't trust me. I was an object to him, a tool for him to use. Well, this tool got out one night. He was drunk as all hell one night, and I managed to swap my cage key with another key I had recently found. I was smarter then the average bear, trust me. He locked me in the cage, which didn't require a key to lock. I waited about an hour, unlocked my cage, and left. It was that simple, really. I never looked back, and I personally still hate Apachai Hopachai, for how he treated me and what he did. I think he might still have a bounty on my head, but its whatever, really. I managed to keep pace in some random direction, and I became simply, a drifter. I lived off the land, which wasn't exactly something I hadn't done before. I walked around until I had finally found a small village. It was called the village of releases, and I wandered around the village meeting random people. Everyone was so nice to me in this town, I loved it, truly. It was here I joined an actual fighting style, Boxing. It was simple, and the master was slow with me being blind and all. I learned quickly, and my striking principles learned as a brawler certainly helped. I wasn't the only one learning how to become a boxer. There was another guy, a guy who carried a scythe and wore a long black robe. They sparred one day, and I was clearly a better boxer then him, but things got out of hand and he got frustrated. He got out a knife, luckily I wasn't going to be stabbed, not by this guy. My movements were fluid, and I could "see" behind me, something he could not.

I directed the knife as he jabbed it towards me, into the temple of his skull, with quite a bit of force. He lived. I was shocked, he pulled it out, and stitched it up, and left town. I asked somebody if this was possible or was I going crazy? No one believed me, infact I had trouble believing myself, being blind and all. I went to a local library, and did some research and some studying. I found out about a religion, which was rumored to allow those who joined be immortal. I was intensely intrigued. All of eternity to do as I please, to never die, infinite knowledge? All of it could be mine. I studied all about it, and was fixated on it, I had to know, I had to find this religion and join it. It was my chance to finally get strong enough to exact revenge on Apachai Hopachai. It was perfect. I shortly thereafter left town. I would spend the next few weeks running around the Land of Fire. Now that no one was traveling with me I would be able to travel as fast as I wanted and go where ever I wanted to. Following a trail of blood I spotted a man moving into a village. I found this a bit odd, but in a world with shinobi and guns for hire, you almost came to expect seeing this stuff. Following the man closely I toke a close look at his attire. Big black robe and three bladed scythe. Just what I had heard. This was a great oppurtunity to finally learn of this immortallity thingy I had heard and was so interested in. However, no such chance was granted. In the distance, I spotted a man falling to the ground. He had been knocked unconcious, he could tell by the feel of the heartbeat through the ground. I had let my guard down, I felt the presence and heard the breath of the man I had followed, Had he found me this fast? I tried to dip his attack, but to no aveil, it was a feint strike, a fake if you will. I got knocked out myself. I woke up in an abandoned village. They obviously didn't want me to find them, whoever or whatever it was. My search for Immortality continued...

What, if anything, is wrong with this Bio?

Errors, huh? Here goes...

This is assuming Yoshi Shitakuma is a new bio waiting to be approved, correct?

• The specialist slots are wrong or the listed specialist is wrong. It's listed as NinMaster, which should be eight slots for releases, six of which are masterable, and two slots for everything that isn't a release. Judging from the "open" markings, Yoshi Shitakuma is a Nin/Tai Specialist and a Gen/Clan NonSpecialist.
  
• He has Saton, yet neither Doton nor Fuuton. That's breaking release rules.
  
• Monk Style and Brawler are incompatible.
  
• Minor note, but Clan should have four slots, not two.
  
• ANBU Non-ninja makes no sense. ANBU are an elite group of ninja within a village, so a non-nin theoretically couldn't be one.
  
• Must start with the smallest size of secondary, and large flashlights are one per slot anyway. It's supposed to be 75 small flashlights if they're using that trick (which I am guilty of doing myself).
  
• Sun Shield is A rank, primary weapons when first creating are limited to C or lower. On top of that, it states that it cannot be started with. It also states Kumogakure for the limit, and since this is a non-ninja, they shouldn't be able to get it in the first place unless they looted it, which is impossible if the bio hasn't even been approved.
  
• Personality doesn't sound like Neutral Evil to me. A gun for hire might be Chaotic Neutral, but he does it for a paycheck, not as a sadistic murderer.
  
• Shitakuma does not state pure white eyes as a bloodline trait. Dominantly black hair, perhaps, but not white eyes. A minor issue, but still a misconception.
  
• Freebies are not stated. He would also have too many: Raiton, Katon, Ototon, Saton, and Phantasm is five, which is past the three limit. Even if he used free techs for the freebies, there's the issue of the number of techs he already has (five freebies is over the limit, bloodlimit or no, and he already has several actual techs).
  
• Shotgun can't be learned without the four punching basics.
  
• Summon Chakra Sphere is A rank; initial techs are limited to C. Even if he could learn it, he needs to mark how many times.
  
• Bloodlimit characters only get three free techniques, Yoshi has five right now.
  
  For the history, it's just odd things I'm noticing...
  
• I'm a little curious how characters would know one another's specialists IC. Some things might be obvious (medic), but other than that, it's a little odd.
  
• Also a little curious how Yoshi could tell the guy pulled a knife on him in the Boxing dojo.
  
• The books at the library better be in Braille.
  
  
• From the looks of it, this guy is a Jashinist (or trying to be one), and breaking a lot of religious rules. First, Jashinists can't be Nin or Gen Specialists. Second, he doesn't have enough techs to sacrifice/seal away; 18 is the number, if I am not mistaken. Third, Jashinism must be roleplayed out for entry.

just as a note, getting vouches from people who are lacking in site experience themselves isn’t really the best way to go when trying to sway someone to accept you into this. A vouch is basically someone putting their name to yours and letting their reputation help get you in the door. If the person isn’t well known enough to really have a reputation it just kind of defeats itself. but that’s besides the point of my post.

From what I’ve seen in C box with you trying to help people (sometimes annoyingly so), I know you know your stuff, at least the amount an entry level assistant should. I haven’t looked at your past posts or whatever, but i know you’re fairly active as well. so, to just kinda help you along a bit, since I think you’d do ok enough for a trial....

As a staff member your asked to do slightly more then find out whats wrong, you are supposed to tell what to do to fix it as well.

We should assume that Yoshi WANTS to be a Nin Master.

Tell me what he should do to make becoming a ninjutsu master possible with said bio. Thats what I was looking for in addition to what you already did.

As for if he wanted to be a NinMaster...

• NinMasters can't be Brawlers, nor can they be Boxers.
  
• Supposed to be eight slots for releases, and two to share between everything else. One of those 'other' slots MUST be Shitakuma. Thought I'd state that.

Things I forgot...

• Forgot to directly mention the fifteen slots of secondaries limit.
  
• Should have linked the primary and secondary weapon indexes if doing this for an actual bio.
  
• Summon Chakra Sphere is a Ninjutsu listed in the Taijutsu section, but on the other hand, it's part of a Taijutsu style.

Corrections to be stated, in explanation format on a bio...

• Releases should have eight slots (mark all the unused ones with 'open'), everything else should be placed together in one group with two slots between them.
  
• "Ninjutsu Masters cannot enter the Brawler or Boxing styles."
  
• "You cannot take Sand Release without first taking Earth and Wind."
  
• Should probably point out the thing about NonNin ANBU.

Thought I would mention this, since you stated it in your last post. You don't need to copy and paste the entire release or perception description into your bio. That part isn't necessary. They can just state "Such and Such Release" or "Such and Such Perception" and thats it.
