'NOT GOOD!' noticed the male when he did another body scan. It appeared that her lungs were not expanding that much. This meant that her breathing was even weaker than what it was earlier.
Minoru tried his best to swallow the lump that had formed inside his throat. He HAD to remain calm since he was a shinobi.

"Right now there's two of you we can settle things much easier. The girl seems to be bleeding a fair bit so if you could have the nursing staff find some bandages we can use as a gauze that'd be lovely. It seems she may be going into shock as well so if you can find a sheet to drape her with, we'll be in a much better position as well. While you're doing so as well have ask if they know what blood type they are...the pathology unit should have been on call upon their admittance. That's outside of our workload." stated the female.

The guy scribbled down 'help me to detach the old woman from the washing machine' on a note that he handed to the water clone. "Give this to a nurse NOW!" stated the Chuunin while looking at the mizu bunshin. His clone nodded before he left the room.
He then turned his attention to a nearby nurse. "Excuse me, I need some bandage plus a sheet" told the guy.

"Sheets are over there next to the CPR poster while bandages are in the shelf" replied the woman in a slightly clipped voice. "Thanks senpai. She needs to know their blood type too" replied Minoru with a polite smile. The nurse nodded before she left the room.

He managed to get his hands holding onto two gauze rolls plus a large bandage roll. The guy ran towards Noriko after he had removed a blanket from the shelf."Give her a syringe" ordered the nurse.
He used his byakugan to find a syringe that laid in her butt bag. "Right...here you go" muttered the Chuunin while laying the items on a nearby bed.

He then removed the syringe from her butt bag. But the second task was a bit harder since the guy had to hold the vertebrae very still. The black-haired male took a deep breath as he looked down at the patient's neck.
'I see' thought the male when he spotted the vertebrae that was out of line. He placed both of his hands on the man's head and tried to not move his head at all.

It was a good thing that he had long fingers plus buredono kenseijin training behind him. The combination of those things made it a bit easier to stabilize the head. Minoru tried to not think too much about the open wound since he could already see the entire internal system.
The guy then moved the man into a supine position as careful as possible when the surgery was over. Next up was their burn victim...

The neck procedure was moving along slowly, but steadily. It was clear at this point that the healing techniques used weren't entirely up to par. In short, if a more experienced medic would've done the technique, the surgery would've likely been over in a couple of minutes due to the sheer amount of healing power presented. Instead, this was slow, clumsy, imprecise and rigid. It wouldn't serve to completely mend the wounds of the ANBU guard, but it would go a long way in stabilising him enough that any further surgery would be many times easier. It'd also mean, that even if his wound healed through natural means, it wouldn't be the same long recovery that had been the case when he had first arrived. Overall, a good job stabilising him...

The girl however, was constantly getting weaker. Their treatment was proving too sporadic and inconsistent, and now it wasn't only her breathing that was steadily dropping, it was also her heartbeat. It was setting in throughout her body. Small tremors, shakes, as she was entering a hypervolemic shock. The girl needed a blood transfusion, and she would need it quick. Worst of it all was, that the blood-pills had been taken out into the field, as there were those who needed them many times more there, than here at the hospital.

"The ANBU is AB-negative. The girl appears to be O-negative.." Was the report given. They, however, didn't have much blood left of the girls type. Which real options did they have?.. They had to move fast, or they would lose her.

"Well now I should probably get to helping you now shouldn't I... Noriko trailed off. She felt sorry for the girl really, if she were treated along side someone other than an ANBU member than she most likely would have received treatment momentarily first, enough to actually have her open bleeds stemmed at least. Politics were brutal at times. Knowing the blood type of the girl she would begin to really, really feel sorry for her. Blood type O negative. The fabled O negative was well sought after though in many locations rare. Able to donate this blood to all patients yet they were only able to receive from other O negative sources. A short series of hand signs and Noriko used the ease pain jutsu once again, by now the girl was probably feeling the affects of the burn once more so it was best to ease her suffering. Removing one of her blood clot pills from her person she handed it to Minoru. "Feed this to the girl, it will help her regain some blood though it's not going to save her. What's your blood type, mine is A negative so I can't give her any of mine. We're low on supply here."

Knowing the blood type of Minoru it would appear as though he wasn't possible to be of help blood wise here. She formed hand signs none the less and resigned herself to what had to be done. Not much could be done with the girl at the moment but she could give her own to the ANBU. She made two small cuts in both of their arms and tethered a string of chakra together. Blood then started to seep from her side of the tether into the arm of the ANBU. He wouldn't need more than one bag, around 500ml, luckily so she would suffice. With this in place she was still able to help the girl and now seemed like it was a good time to do so. "Minoru, you are to follow these instructions to the letter. Find either a blood drip with O negative blood or someone with the O negative blood type. If you don't, I won't be able to save this girl."

With Minoru having received his task she set to work on her own. The healing hands technique would help here though she opted to use the regenerate technique. It would allow the wounds to heal more naturally, looks were important to a girl, right? Forming another short series of hand signs she began to force her own chakra into the girl’s body. Her healing ability pressed the girls own healing forces to stir up an increase in their ability. The pill would help in her efforts, clogging the blood and helping stem the bleeding while producing more red blood cells. This gave some additional life to the jutsu though it wasn’t much, Noriko needed the production of more platelets more than anything. The things responsible in turn for the actual healing and in turn producing what this girl needed, skin and muscle. These were the things that were bleeding, these were the things she was regenerating to save her. Her hands shone brightly as she continued the technique, she could almost feel the very flesh under her, burnt as it was, begin to churn and ripple.

More likely than not she would never have full feeling in her limbs from this point on, the regeneration technique had that over the healing hands technique however. This allowed for Noriko to also focus on the nerve endings in the body and repair them, connecting them back in to the original pathways though she couldn’t regenerate things that weren’t there and she was finding that for now while this was working, in the long run it was going to be ineffective. She was unable to regenerate the burnt and dead flesh; she was forced to focus on the not so damaged and bleeding areas of the girl. The technique worked here albeit slowly. It was a test of patience among other things. Her skill needed to be on par with the highest level surgeons. If she couldn’t manage that she would be able to help, she had to take these injuries here and learn quickly. Her mind was alert as the wounds healed. She tried adjusting the level of chakra, finding that more effort and chakra did not necessarily promote greater healing. It helped sure but the level of assistance verses the result weren’t worth it.

If she continued she would find herself passed out from exhaustion, unable to assist anyone let alone this girl. Her hands had to become more skilful. Her eyes gave her an advantage that others did not possess. She was literally able to see the increase in the natural healing ability, she was able to see just which methods she tried were more effective. She tried healing from the nerve roots and up and found that while it worked, was a slow and arduous process. She found that healing from the muscles first reaped greater rewards with the speed of healing increasing in turn. From there she was able to address the muscle spindles, the sensory receptors of the muscles, and create nerve endings that would allow for some feeling though not enough. Skin for now was not important. It was more important to heal the muscles and stop the bleeding but again, the dead muscle tissue and skin were an issue. She would have to make patches first and then remove the dead muscle and skin she could see. This girl required surgery, Noriko hoped she was strong enough to make it.

'Looks like it's going to be OK' thought the male when his teammate patched up the ANBU. Next up was the girl who had been burned at the right side. "The ANBU is AB-negative. The girl appears to be O-negative" informed the nurse.
Minoru felt his skin pale instantly. He did not know much about blood, but he knew O negative could only receive matching blood.

"Feed this to the girl, it will help her regain some blood though it's not going to save her.
What's your blood type? Mine is A negative so I can't give her any of mine. We're low on supply here." told the female. He closed his eyes for a moment while trying to recall what his doctor had told him after the annual health check.

"I can't give my blood either I'm afraid. My type is A positive. But I'll give her this before I look for a blood bag" replied the guy.
He went over to the girl with the blood clot pill in his hand. "Hey...can you hear me?" inquired the Chuunin while he looked at her.

She gave him a faint nod. "I'm going to give you something that you need to swallow. It'll make your wounds heal faster" informed the male.
The poor girl gave him another fake nod and he carefully laid the pill under her tongue. Both of his chakra-fuelled eyes went to X-ray mode as she swallowed the pill.

"Where is the blood bank?" inquired the black-haired guy while he looked at a nearby male nurse. "It should be at the floor above us, first door on the left" replied the male. The guy nodded before he ran out of the room.
He jogged up the stairs while he kept repeating the blood type letters in his mind. Both of his eyes then looked towards the blood bank, his X-ray vision granting him sight inside the room.

There were numerous bags there that probably had all kinds of blood types as well as plasma. He went straight for the counter outside the bank. "Hello, could you please help me? I need some blood for an urgent transfusion" told Minoru. "Do you have your ID or mission papers?" replied the bored clerk.

He handed her the papers. "I'm afraid I do not have authorization to give you the blood" told the female as she handed him the papers.
The Chuunin switched his eyes towards the blood donors behind him. Suddenly, he saw the 'O negative' at the card of a gangly guy that was apparently in his mid 30's.

"Could you come with me please? We need your blood for an urgent transfusion" stated the male. "Uhhh, sure" replied the guy.
The duo shunshined [1/13] down the hallway before they went down to the emergency room. "We got a donator here Noriko-san!" informed the black-haired male with a smile on his face.

Effect: A jutsu that allows a user to rush forward in almost instantaneous speed. Used to draw the user close to the opponent.

Drawback: May use 3 times a day. May perform 1 more each time learned. Passing amount renders the user's legs immobile due to severe pain. Unable to perform again unless gained medical treatment. Must move through an opening. Unable to maneuver around obstructing objects. Can't attack while performing any shunshin or variation.
Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform jutsu 2 times per round.
Limit: Universal ninjutsu or universal taijutsu.

The stabilisation was functioning, especially for the ANBU, but it was moving slow. He was out of immediate danger of dying, which had been an incredible piece of work by the medical unit. The girl was being stabilised slightly through the healing, but her situation was still critical, and if nothing further was going to happen, the girl was still going to die. It had reached a critical point where any kind of mistakes was going to hurt more than it was going to help. Then, a few moments later, the girls heart stopped. The hypervolemic shock had ended her life.

They needed to get more blood in her veins, immediately, and they needed to attempt ressurecting her. Perhaps CPR could manage. Perhaps an elecritical discharge could restart her system. Either way, they were quickly running out of time!

Before Minoru could return with the blood donor the patient was gone. By the time Minoru would have came in Noriko would have given up with stabilising her through the regeneration technique and have readied herself for what was needed. "She's gone Minoru, her hearts stopped" she would inform her comrade. Taking a look at the man that Minoru had brought with him she'd understand that his blood type was what she needed, being that it was it was still very possible to save her though but she had to act now! She'd waited all this time already, now it was time for her to get treatment and she was going to live damn it! Well aware that she was still linked to the ANBU herself, she formed another series of hand signs and began to build her chakra. Explained what she had to do and why she was doing it she cut into both the arm of the older man and that of the girl, linking them together and allowing for the blood transfusion to start.

With her heart stopped as it was though she wasn't going to get any benefit from the additional blood so that had to be fixed. One of the more invasive techniques she possessed would be the answer to this, it was one that could only be used if the patient was dead. Setting her hands over the girls heart she forced a large amount of chakra into it creating an audible thudding noise. The heart was now being forced to beat, this was CPR in its most brutal form. With just this one technique the heart would continue to beat for about a minute and thirty seconds so she had to be rather quick. As the blood began seep around the body now Noriko quickly formed the chakra scalpel technique and began to work on the dead flesh that was in her way. She had to cut it all away to prevent any infection and disease to set in. The girl may become distressed over this however, despite the fact that she wouldn't feel a thing so she asked Minoru at this point to cover her eyes, if she was awake.

Now back to regenerating the girls body. Noriko once again began to work on the girls body, forming hand signs she began to feel the fatigue of her actions up to this point. This was one of the hardest surgeries that she had ever performed, it was a shame Minoru had to be introduced to the hospital world like this. She pushed her chakra into the girls body under her swift hands and began to feel as her bodies natural healing took over. It was much more fluid this time, albeit still very slow. The healing began to take form over the muscles and they began to once again grow into place where they used to fill. The nature of the injury meant that on this side of the body the growing muscles were recovering though they weren't going to be as full as they once were, they were always going to be slightly misshapen from this point on though luckily only slightly.

This injury was more taken to the skin and the first half an inch of flesh, a considerable amount of flesh. As the muscles reformed that managed to narrow this amount of lost flesh though it wasn't going to be one hundred percent. She chose now to focus on the skins reformation, after checking to see if she would need to re-perform the forced resuscitation technique, which she would if she had to. The girl skin would begin to grow, not in the middle out of nowhere but from the edges of the already healthy skin. It was like something she hadn't seen before, the skin began to peel over toward itself like they had a mind of their own. It reminded her of stretching though it wasn't. It was the combination of skin cells splitting and reforming themselves next to one another. A very slow process, at least it meant that she was getting a layer to produce itself. That's all she needed right now, a single layer. If she could get that things would be much more promising for the girls future.

Blood Transfusion Technique

Effect: A technique devised to enable a blood transfusion between two people without the need of materials.

Description: The user first makes a small incision near a vein in the target, and another small incision to a volunteer using the Chakra Scalpel technique. The user then places both one hand on each target where they made an incision. The Chakra Scalpel does not cause bleeding so there will be no mess. Having 1 hand on each target the user forces the chakra into their hands emitting a light blue-green color. The user then brings their hands together creating a "string" of chakra connecting to each target. The user touches their index and middle fingers together "tethering" the 2 strings together, creating a thin tube made out of chakra. The user can then force blood out of one chakra and into another creating a Blood Transfusion. Please note that the two targets must have compatible blood types as there can be complications if blood types are not compatible.
Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor. Must know Chakra Scalpel.

Description: A tricky medical technique that was created to save lives. Force Resuscitation works by forcing chakra directly into the patient's heart causing it to beat. The chakra causes the heart to beat against its own will. When a person dies, their brain can stay active for 10 minutes before perishing, and 5 minutes before damage sets in. If the heart can be restarted then the patient can be saved. This technique was devised by allowing the Medical Doctor to keep a heart pumping while they focus on treating other symptoms. The Duration of the Jutsu is 5 rounds per Class Level.
Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor.

'NO...' thought the male when he looked over at the female victim. He felt the little colour in his face vanish completely when he noticed something extremely frightening. Her heart was not beating anymore. "She's gone Minoru, her hearts stopped" informed the female. The only thing he could do was to nod.

Minoru saw her doing a set of hand seals while her chakra started to rise. 'GET A GRIP MAN! The LAST thing this girl needs is a Chuunin going into shock!' thought the guy while looking at the patient.
Noriko then made a small incision at the man as well as the girl. It seemed as if she was going to link the two together somehow.

Both of his eyes turned back to the female at the operation table. The other young woman suddenly forced the heart to start beating again. It kind of made sense given that the heart pumped blood around in the body.
The Chuunin then covered their patient's eyes while keeping an eye at her face. Thankfully, it seemed as if she was still unconscious.

'Focus on her blood flow' thought the male while the Genin started to cut away flesh. He noticed that the blood from the man had began to spread around in her body. 'I just hope her skin is going to - wait a minute!'.
The black-haired guy suddenly remembered an herb that he had worked at during his herbalist course. He glanced up at the female while holding his hands over the girl's eyes.

"Uhm...Noriko. I just wanted to say that I may know about an herb that could speed up the recovery rate. I see that your chakra levels are quite low now" informed the male.
His eyes were quite concerned despite that they were pumped up with chakra. The last thing he wanted was that his teammate would collapse due to chakra fatigue.

Undoubtedly it was a rough process for the body of the young girl. Having stopped breathing, it was clear that the girls body had finally given up. The two shinobi in the room with her wasn't ready to give up just yet, though. The chakra that was poured into her heart was the final lifeline, and everyone knew it. Forcing the body to operate when in such a weakened state would either mean certain death from exhaustion and the body surpassing its limit, or it would cause the rest of the body to restart, creating enough energy that it could stabilise when the other wounds were being treated.

The time was ticking as they were working away. The attempt to recuperate the girl were quite something else, but the deeper they got the more it seemed like a lost cause. Having lost too much liquid, it seemed they had gotten to her too late. Her heartrate was too high, and her body was working off of a stressed state. A silent, drawn out gasp was heard. The girl's body had been too far gone to save, and as soon as the time that was given was up, her body returned to slumbering. The girl was dead, and no standard techniques they could employ would bring her back. It was over...

Perhaps if they had treated her before the ANBU, they had been able to save them both.

Dammit. It wasn't working. Despite having the drip and the new blood infusion the girl was still on her way out of this life. Noriko wasn't ready to give up just yet though, she wanted to save her. She poured more effort into her regeneration technique. She figured that if she was able to heal her injuries greater than she would be able to save her life. A single layer of skin. It took forever but she managed a single layer of skin over the injury. So much effort for just a small thing. Some may compliment her for such a feat, some may say she was amazing for it but she was still far from being saved. She poured more chakra into her hands, she forced the girls body into more effort, anything less and she was dead already. The skin was now to take form in its full. The epidermis had to be created not only to keep foreign invaders out but to keep the insides in, to keep the fluids in the girls body from escaping once again and preserving what she took in.

Noriko watched as the body began to create another layer on top of the previous layer. In truth it was the same layer being created but it was the second half of the layer. the hypodermis was a thick layer of skin that contained the fat under the skin as well as the majority of the blood vessels, only a small amount existed above this layer of skin. Now it was forming the area where the hair folicles and sweat glands took root, the upper layer of the skin. Again like moss infecting a small pond the layer started out at the edge of the lost skin, using the alive and well skin as a base as it stretched across the body. Slowly, so slowly, the skin began to take a more putrid but more hopeful colour and thickening. Now rather than having a thin transparent layer over the muscles and bones it was more of a yellowy ooze that coated the muscles, the fat began to take its natural shape and root along side the connective tissues of the hypodermis.

Before it was fully coating the girls injury however it seemd as though the second layer of skin, the dermis, was beginning to edge its way into existence over the repairing tissue. It to began to edge closer to the center of the injury providing a pink coloured area floating atop the yellow mucky skin that was the hypodermis. Great, Noriko was almost happy but still the condition of the girl wasn't improving. If anything it was getting worse and worse. Was she to far gone? No she couldn't accept that. She had to make sure that she saved her, and if she couldn't she had to at least give this girl a face to look at at her funeral. The hypodermis connected at the centre, completing the layer of skin while the dermis edged closer and closer itself. Noriko also watched as the epidermis finally came into being. It was the last layer of skin she needed to fully heal the girl but then, as her resuscitation technique gave out, a final great gasp and then, nothing.

Was this it? Was this as far as she went? She switched from her technique, she had to bring her back. She moved to the standard CPR. Pushing on her chest she compressed twenty times, checked for breathing, pushed her own breath into the girl twice, and then checked again. Nothing? She repeated this. Again and again until she felt as though she was getting somewhere, she was mistaken. Nothing was working. She was gone. She didn't save her. The girl had died, the struggle was to much. Noriko checked the clock. "Time of death, xx:xx. I messed up. her words were solemn, she felt defeated. She draped a sheet over her had signifying that she had given up but there were still patients to treat however so she got back to work after cutting the line between the man whom had offered himself as assistance to the girl. Unfortunate as the result may have been his heart was in the right place.

Back to the ANBU she was to help his neck a final time. She of course used her regenerative skill again, focusing chakra into her hands and placing them on his neck injury. The damage to the neck was up in the c1 c2 vertebrae area however there were still some injuries outside of that to contend with. Soft tissue injuries to the thyrohyoid membrane, and additional injuries to the hyoid bone were present and had to be treated as well as the injuries in the vertebral column itself. As she made contact with the ANBU's skin, she ensured that he wouldn't budge from this position for a moment, and felt as the bodies natural healing ability began to increase as she was able to watch it with her Onigami eyes. She watched as the white blood cells and platelets began to almost swarm in the blood and took to healing the tissue. There was no set priority in the body, everything was treated as soon as possible so she was able to see the healing in the bone and membrane began to heal simultaneously.

It wasn't as if there appeared to be a set order however as the hyoid bone seemingly healed much faster than the thyrohyoid membrane did. The body was actually very good at healing with bone, it was probably the easiest means to heal itself with outside of synovial fluid. Many an injury was prone to this bone healing as well. The body would actually frequently mistakeingly heal inside the muscle tissue with bone in regard to some deep tissue impact, luckily for Noriko however this was more of a impact injury accident though so a cut like this held lesser a chance of this happening. The thyroid cartilage and membrane were actually much hard to heal. Cartilage was more or less an absolute in the body, healing it took a long long time and at time, such as in the instances of the knees, once its gone its gone. Not that it was entirely possible to fully heal cartilage as well, just ask anyone who'd had a broken nose before. They'd never get it back to normal after that.

The coricoid and the coricoid cartilage also suffered some extreme amount of damage as the neck was sliced open. Again in this instance the cartilage was hard to repair, it took its time as it wasn't an area where blood could travel freely, though the muscle began to heal almost immediately. It quickly began to recover itself as Noriko watched it close up, stitching itself together almost as the platelets began to freeze in place with the stemm cells which created the missing muscle tissue with the protein in the body. Due to the nature of the technique it was hardly as if Noriko herself had to do anything with the technique at all. It was all the bodies work and not hers. She was able to take advantage of that, after all the body had a great sense of self that allowed it to fix itself to the greatest of degrees. The ANBU would have to endure some physical muscle manipulation at the hands of a massage therapist later on though that was a minor inconvenience considering he now had less than a week of rest before he could leave this hospital.

Noriko sent him out of the room after cutting the line between herself and him via the blood transfusion. He was the nurses problem now, along side the girl whom had died. One was sent to recovery, one the morgue. Sad. She really felt herself grow weak now. She had donated a lot of blood as well as used a lot of her strength. She would have to rest soon, thank god the shift was almost over. She turned to Minoru and looked him over. It was unfortunate that he was introduced to the medical world in such a way. If she had treated the girl first she most likely would have survived though the ANBU took priority. He was more important, he was a defender to the people of the Leaf and he would now be able to continue defending the Leaf. Politics 'caused the girl to die however perhaps sympathy would have killed the ANBU. Now she'll never know.

'Come on, you can do this Noriko!' thought the male when he saw her heal the skin. It was quite amazing to look at if you had a doujutsu like the byakugan. Minoru could see the muscle cells plus the tissue form at an abnormally fast rate.
His eyes then looked at the heart inside the female one more time. It still was not beating at all.

The guy who had graciously given some of his blood was sitting at a chair next to the bed. 'Please don't give up!' prayed the Chuunin while knitting his brows. He really wished that he could do SOMETHING to help out the poor young woman at the table.
But there was no avail. Their patient had now left them despite that they had done everything possible to save her.

"Time of death, 05:05. I messed up" muttered Noriko. He shook his head in disagreement as he helped her to unfold the sheet.
The male first felt terribly sadness combined with guilt due to their inability to save her. Especially since all he had done was basically to watch over her.

But on the other hand, they still had another patient that were still alive. He saw the young woman walk over with a rather determined look at her face. How she could continue her job like this was something the black-haired guy could not understand.
'I suppose she's more used to facing death than I am. Kami, I feel like such a coward' mentally berated the guy while taking a shaky breath.

"I'm sorry" muttered a nurse while she patted his back. "Thanks" whispered Minoru as he tried to keep his tears inside his eyes. He then took another deep breath before the Genin started to finish her operation.
A smile formed at his face when he saw the ANBU agent having a much better neck than earlier. At least one of their patients would be able to leave in one piece.

But when he saw the state the female was in, he felt a jolt of fear. Her chakra levels as well as her stamina were at an all time low. He immediately went over to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Let me know if you need to sit for a moment. I'll get you right home when we're done with this" assured the male.

Minoru took it upon himself to comfort Noriko, a sentiment she appreciated wholeheartedly but still, this was not the worst of the days she had endured. That was a time she'd rather not recall. "Thanks but, I'll be okay" she assured him though honestly she was getting beat up. It was about time to call it a day though, their shift had been finished around ten minutes ago. "Let's call it a day Minoru" she suggested as the ANBU was carted out of the room following behind the deceased girl. Opening the door for her companion she remained rather silent in her defeat, washing her hands in the processing rooms basin without a word and reaching the women's changing room again without speaking. Changing her clothes back to her original attire she sat and sighed. She would have to return the borrowed uniform before leaving, a large return booth similar to a video stores return box was waiting at the edge of the room for her to do so but she wasn't in the mood to move at the moment. She could have saved her. It wasn't politics that ushered that girl to death, it wasn't whatever accident, it was simply Noriko's own fear. Memories began to flood back to her of other burn victims.

Thinking back to the day she first started to use the regeneration technique she remembered treating the small injuries of those caught in the explosion though the doctors whom were treating the more injured of the party wore themselves out rather quickly so she had to take over after they had tended to the majority of the injuries. One man, whom seemed to be the one working the grill had burns over around eighty percent of the body though she was only on clean up duty. She formed the hand signs and built up her chakra. Touching his skin she watched as it quickly began to heal as the mans body's natural healing properties got a massive power boost. The white blood cell, platelet count, and stemm cell count in his body increased rapidly and began to stitch him up more aptly than any surgeon could at this point. He had already been treated for the majority of his injuries so Noriko was merely on cosmetic repair.

While not life saving it was however a very important aspect of the process as it ensured the man would not be osticised by the public afterward. The epidermus, the skin, was her target here as she was to ensure that all layers were to heal properly. She was simply on the final layer of the dermus though she had to be very careful. Part of this was to ensure that the man had proper range of motion afterward. If she were to allow the body to heal in a manner that was to stiff, like most scar tissue, then the man would have to undergo further procedures to regain mobility in his skin. To this effect she ensure that she held a rather light grip on the jutsu, using it to the most basic of channels. She did this to ensure she had proper control, as while she had an understanding of the technique, she did not really have much experience with it and so her control was rather lacking.

Slow and steady wins the race and as she worked, the skin began to form in, spawning from the edges of the wounds she watched as it wormed in like a sink hole toward a center focal point. To ensure the quality of her work Noriko performed spot tests on the newly formed skin to ensure this layer had proper buoyancy. This was a rather difficult task in actuality as she had to ensure that the nerve cells, which while mainly in the deeper layers of the skin, were properly functioning and building themselves so the mans sense of touch was not at fault. Similar to the body creating muscle spindles in the belly of flesh, creating the free nerve endings in the skin was rather difficult in comparison though still doable. She achieved the majority of her work through the duplication of the cells from the already existing cell in the healthy skin. A feat that would not have been possible for her if the man had scorched the entirety of his body.

Luckily though he hadn't. The whole process took roughly three hours, just on her end, and by the time she was finished she was really tired. He survived and for all she knew was living a wonderful life. It wasn't her that saved him though, she merely picked up the leftovers. Was that all she was good for? Was she not able to save people from the grasp of death? Was she merely a bench warmer, an assistant for the true saviors? She couldn't accept that. She wanted to do more. She wanted to help those she could, so why was she so scared... To do that? She was tired, her chakra was running low just as her mood. She set back the uniform and left the change rooms, meeting up with Minoru when he had finished. "Let's turn in our mission" she beckoned of the boy as she turned to leave the building. To think that she was powerless to stop that girl from dieing. It was Minoru's first day in clinic and she failed. Both him and the girl, not to mention herself. Worthless.

If Minoru had walked with her despite her less than talkative attitude at the moment, Noriko would turn to speak. "Minoru..." she trailed off. The next words would not be spoken for a few more moments. "I'm sorry... Your first day at the hospital turned out like this..." Come to think of it. It had been a while. Since someone died in her care. Perhaps she was being careless...

"Thanks but, I'll be okay. Let's call it a day Minoru" assured the female.
He gave her a nod before he went to the locker room. 'Looks like the old lady got sorted out' concluded the male when he did not see her in the E.R. room.

Minoru changed into his normal clothes while thinking about what had happened that day. They had lost a patient, but they had saved one as well. 'Isn't this what shinobi life is all about? Saving those who you care about or those in your village?' thought the guy. He was fully aware of that he may be hired to kill people too, but he tried to stick with missions where the targets were 'evil'.

He let out a sigh as he exited the locker room. "Let's turn in our mission" beckoned Noriko as she turned to leave the building. He noticed that she looked the way he felt.
"Minoru...I'm sorry...your first day at the hospital turned out like this..." apologized the young woman.

The Chuunin shook his head. "People die on missions too. It's just unfortunate when they die at places like these. And we did what we could to save them as well" replied the male. He then walked out of the hospital with a grim look at his face.

The Subject heals a Moderate Wound per round until the Jutsu ends and is automatically stabilized if they were dying. Regenerate, Moderate Wounds does not restore health from Starvation, Thirst, or suffocation, nor does it allow a creature to re-grow or attach lost body parts. The effects of multiple Regenerate Jutsus do not stack, only the highest Ranking Jutsu effect applies. Applying a 2nd Regenerate Jutsu of equal level extends the first Jutsu's duration by the full duration of the 2nd Jutsu. Wearing a doctors uniform Noriko entered the Hospital. She was going to be doing a bit of work here today and so she was in work mode. Heading straight to the emergency ward she began to accept injured persons. The first one in her room was a young boy that had been playing with matches. It appeared as though he had lit his clothing on fire as well as his hair as he had a large patch seared off the top of his head. She took some antiseptic and began to clean the wounds with help of the boys mother who held his crying hand. With the wounds cleaned she began to form hand signs for her regeneration jutsu. Her hands became shrouded in chakra producing a white glow of healing energy. She placed them upon the injured boys skin and began to infuse this chakra into his body via touch. This allowed her chakra to infuse itself within the boys cells and although he cried in pain, she wasn't game to give him any more painkillers than the nursing staff already had, the wounds began to regenerate rather quickly.

Usually wounds would take weeks to heal though these ones were not quite as serious as they could have been so she was able to utilise this jutsu. As she continued to exhaust her chakra into the boys skin the wounds began to slowly close, though at a much more rapid pace than it would usually take. The wounds began to close over with new layers of skin and give new colour to the boy. The once red wounds on his body were quickly replaced with pale white skin. After about twenty minutes the kid was as good as new, minus a patch of hair on his head. Proscribing some cream for his skin Noriko was able to send the family home completely healed which was nice but now it was time for her next patient. A woman was rushed into the hospital just as she had discharged the boy. She was suffering a severe stab wound to the stomach and it was up to Noriko to help her. With bandages in hand Noriko brought the girl into a surgery room and had her sedated by one of the nurses. Noriko then carefully removed the knife and patched the bleeding wound with the bandages as a blood transfusion was hooked up to the unconscious girls arm.

First she needed to stop the bleed so she used the healing hands technique to stem the wound. With the blood mostly stopped she formed additional hand signs and began to focus more chakra into her hands for the regeneration technique. Touching her hands to the girls stomach she began to pour her chakra into the girls body and speed up the healing process. It was best to allow the body's own natural healing ability heal most injuries and that's what this technique utilised. This wound was more serious than she was used to treating with this technique however and she found it rather difficult as a result. She poured in a lot of chakra though it seemed as though the body's cells were having a tough time repairing the damage though it was mostly just a matter of time. The cells in the womans body were replicating and Noriko guided them in how best to do so, focusing more chakra in specific areas surrounding the wound to have them heal up faster so that the injury could be healed in a more efficient manner.

Time was the only constraint though she didn't have much to worry about. She had heard that some surgeries took a number of hours, possibly a day to even complete. She herself had never had a surgery last for longer than two hours and this one right now, only took a little over one. After an hour of pouring her chakra into the stab wound she was able to remove most of the bandages. Looking it over with her Onigami eyes she found there were no internal bleeds and that things were healing nicely. A further ten minutes to heal up the superficial remnants and the woman was cleared to head into recovery and Noriko went back out onto the floor ready to assist other patients.

Kyodai entered the crisis center in his student scrubs. But underneath his scrubs was his usual shinobi uniform marking him as a Medical ninja. It was the base black pants and shirt but he wore an armband of white with a red cross on it. He decided to come in this day to learn the ways of actual chakra healing. For though his memory was good in the ways of mundane healing he had yet graduated to the techniques of the nin.

So Kyodai went to his emergency triage instructor that taught him most of what he knew. When Kyodai found him, he was teaching another set of young one in the ways of emergency care. He stood to the side and watched for moment because it was important that people knew what to do in an emergency. What the Triage instructor was teaching on how to put pressure on a minor bleeding wound to clot it.

Kyodai smiled at his own memories of receiving similar classes in the past. The instructor spotted Kyodai and waved him over. " Students, this is one of my old assistants before he went off to the academy. Everyone meet Kyodai Hyuuga. So Kyodai what can I do for you?"

The instructor's kindly eyes held back laughter as he spoke to first the class than to Kyodai directly.

Kyodai smiled back and responded, " Well I came for a lesson on using Chakra to heal a minor wound. " The Instructor nodded and waved at the minor wound on a young shinobi's leg that was sitting on the exam table quietly watching the interaction. He looked at Kyodai with some horror at having a new person take care of his treatment but he had agreed to be an education point for students.

The instructor spoke directions to Kyodai as he enacted them. First he place his hands just over the wound after gloving up as not to spread possible infection. He then closed his eyes to concentrate his chakra to his hands. It was a bit different from the techniques of the Hyuuga but similar in function as he pushed his chakra into the other Shinobi. He dived into the wound with his chakra and started helping the body enable natural healing at an accelerated pace until the wound looked nice and pink.

Kyodai wasn't done with his healing lessons from the Emergency Triage instructor. After they healed the minor wound on the Shinobi in the initial triage room, the Doc thought it would be a good idea for Kyodai to follow and practice his hands on Triage patients. This gave the doctors of the Crisis center more time to handle more serious cases. And it had the benefit of giving Kyodai time to practice on living subjects in a controlled environment.

Using this time to treat triage patients was a novel and great idea. Kyodai was all for practicing his profession and helping people. As Kyodai, the instructor, and several young students went from room to room, the instructor would speak. The instructor would speak on the nature of each wound and what could generally cause it. Then the instructor would speak on mundane treatments that could be used in a pinch.

After the instructor was done on his lesson points he would wave Kyodai forward to practice healing hands on a patient. Healing hands lokked easier than it was to actually practice for while yes the chakra control was hard, that wasn't the hardest part. The person performing the Healing hands had to know the exact nature of the wound for him to even to start to have an affect.

After figuring out the nature of the wound usually through use of chakra and in Kyodai's case his special sight from being a Hyuuga, he would have to induce healing. To induce healing he needed to know exactly how the body's natural healing process would have worked on the wound. And if the natural healing process would not have work figure out why and remove the blocks from stopping the natural healing.

And this healing wasn't at no cost to the patient at all. The patient payed for the healing in energy from their body. What a healer was doing was making the natural healing of the body move at an accelerated pace. So for it to work at this level the patient had to already be stable and then that person would need sleep and a big meal. Getting around your body's need could have big consequences for the patient.
