9/30 Healing Hands (Light) Rank: "C" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A Healer gains the ability to heal Light Wounds within an amount of time. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: When laying the hand upon a living creature, the user channels positive energy that cures Light wounds within the amount of time performing a "C" Rank technique in handseals. While curing Light wounds this technique brings higher wound levels down by 1 step. Since undead are powered by negative energy, this Jutsu deals damage to them instead of curing their wounds. Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor. Must know Healing Hands (Minor).
Kyodai was actually having very good luck on using his Healing hands on the triage patients. It seemed that the divine was with him giving him inspiration when he needed it as he healed. For each wound he healed, he did it to a pretty good degree even wounds that were a little above him. Not only that he could almost felt like something was guiding his mind and eyes to the right things needed to make the recovery easier on his patients.
Now he couldn't heal all the wounds the group came across. Sometimes the best he could do was reduce the severity of the wound a patient came in with. One example was a woodsman who accidently chopped into his own leg. The axe had bit all the way down to the bone, so there was several factors to worry about as they worked on him. The first factor was to stem the flow of blood.
The blood flow was a torrent coming out of his leg. Now the people who brought him in and were now waiting outside had wrapped his leg in a cloth. The cloth helped to a point to make the blood flow less but it brought other complications. The blood flow was still high, which believe it or not a good sign. But they had to immediately dive in and use healing hands to try to seal of the veins and arties temporarily. This would give them time to get a better look at the wound.
The leg would have to be set because of the chipping into the bone but luckily it wasn't to bad. It looked like the bleeding was the worst of the axe cut. For this Kyodai started the clotting process and got out a suture kit. His abilities would not be able to completely heal the wound this woodsman had. It was just too large but he could reduce it's severity and use mundane methods to reduce it further for another person to complete.
He first though had to clean out the wound and eliminate any infection that came from dirt, sweat, and cloth getting in there. Once the wound was cleaned up and healing started he started suturing up the wound with a temporary stitch so a more experience doctor can remove and work further with. After the suture was complete it was a second was and a wrap bandage to protect it against further possible things to complicate matters.

19/30 Healing Hands (Light) Rank: "C" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A Healer gains the ability to heal Light Wounds within an amount of time. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: When laying the hand upon a living creature, the user channels positive energy that cures Light wounds within the amount of time performing a "C" Rank technique in handseals. Kyodai was going to have a long day of treating patients since they were always short staff. Even when you have plenty doctors, it never seems like enough in an emergency. This was why they were having an Emergency Technician provide Triage treatment before more senior doctors have at the patient. The least he could do was reduce the severity and number of patients to be treated at the center. And Kyodai was at least trusted not to accidently kill a patient from mistreatment.
Kyodai had done his early years in this very hospital, reading to the sick and the infirmed. That was some of his starting duties until he graduated to being a helpful assistant like some lower grade nurses. He didn't mind being considered a male nurse during that time for he was helping people. The chores were minor and menial but it saved another person who could be used else ware from having to do them.
It was just since he passed the shinobi academy exams that he has been trusted to provide a chakra form of healing. He had been using the more mundane methods up to that point. The doctors here prefer using mundane first and using chakra on serious patients. There was never enough energy to use on everyone, hence why they have triage. This was where Kyodai did most of his work now a days.
Kyodai worked on many a triage patient in the crisis center under the direction of older and more experienced doctor. He usually just practice mundane on the patients that came in but recently he has been using healing hands on patients. It makes them happy as they leave the center sooner. But Kyodai doesn't do it for that reason but to practice and expand his skills. He wanted to perfect his techniques and pass his doctor's exam.
Kyodai remembered a patient that had only minor wounds but would get them so often that it was just exhausting to work on him. He didn't know the man well but he was always coming in with some sort of bruise or cut. Kyodai used Healing Hands on him so many times Kyodai was about to refuse to work on the man. That was until he learn the reason the man had so many wounds was because he worked as the dummy for martial arts students and it was the students accidently hurting him.

Kyodai worked hard in the Triage unit area that he was actually becoming quite friendly with the staff. Several nurses and other medical personnel were more than willing to give him advice when working on patients. The real problem though was getting the truth out of the patients then diagnosis the actual cause not what they think it was. The treatment part generally was the easiest part of the process when working in triage. He and a few others were a first step in the medical correction of aliments in the Crisis center.

Cleanse Disease Rank: "D" "C" "B" "A" "S" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A healer gains the ability to Cleanse Disease. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: A touching technique. Cleanse Disease cures all diseases that the subject is suffering from. This Jutsu also kills parasites. Certain special diseases may not be countered by this Jutsu or may be countered only by a user of a certain Class Level or higher. Depending on the Rank the user knows depends on the rarity the user may cleanse. •"D" Rank - Common •"C" Rank - Uncommon •"B" Rank - Rare •"A" Rank - Very Rare •"S" Rank - Nearly Impossible Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor.
Kyodai also got to see actual illnesses in the Triage section of the Crisis center. Now a lot of diseases were to dangerous for him to touch but several of the common ones like the cold and the flu he knew how to treat. Now there was mundane ways of treating the cold or the flu and sometimes that was the best way to treat a patient. But not all patients have the luxury of time to treat minor illnesses like that.
For those that had jobs or missions that needed them up and at them quicker he learned another kind of jutsu. Now this jutsu helped with these common diseases by first flushing the system of the rampant ailment. Then the Jutsu worked by multiplying the body's own anti bodies to act as a new layer of defense against the common disease. In most cases this worked very well indeed.
It took a bit out of the person being treated this way of course. They had a tendency to run on the hot side as the Disease gets wiped out in their body and they feel much more tired than if they were perfectly healthy to begin with. But this allows most people to get back to work in a speedy manner. And its not all on the patient either during this particular kind of medical technique. There was a lot on the person performing the technique.
Now Kyodai had to know the general aspects of how the disease worked to combat it. He couldn't bring the body's own defenses to bare if he didn't know where to send them. This was only part of the problem when treating a disease. Many a disease liked to mimic one another and he would have no way of figuring that out until he was into the fight for the patient. He had to be careful not to get drawn to far in and get infected or destroyed by the very disease he was fighting.
This also took an amount of energy out of him that would take to marshal his own defenses against the same disease. He had to know when to withdraw when the disease was to much and allow a more experienced medical personnel to handle it. All this required great amount of study and more so discipline. He had to be conscious of both his status and his patients status throughout the entire procedure.

Healing Hands, Cloak of Healing Hands Rank: "C" Skill: Supplementary Effect: User can hold a Jutsu of Healing in their aura, allowing allies to grab it when needed. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: When the user performs a Healing Hands technique, the user may choose to hold the charge of the touch technique for up to 6 rounds. Unlike most cases where the user holds a charge, the user is free to perform other Jutsus and touch objects and other creatures without losing the Jutsu. At any time during this duration if the user and another creature come in contact the user may, without taking up movements, choose to discharge the Healing Hands technique into the touching creature. User may only have 1 Healing Hands technique held in this way at a time. Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor. Must know Healing Hands (Light).
One of the techniques Kyodai observed out of the other doctors to speed up the process was a kind of cloak of healing energy. These cloaks were short term in the time any body could maintain them and probably was draining on the doctors. But it allowed the doctors to interact and use stuff while healing. It was an interesting technique to Kyodai after he had observed the effects a few times.
Kyodai wondered just how much concentration was required to maintain such a healing jutsu. Its uses though were obvious to even an casual observer. One can maintain a healing cloak and possibly cleanse a wound at the same time. When time is of the essence or the doctor's hands were required for something other than holding the seals, it was very useful to have. The doctor's he usually saw having this kind of cloak was the trauma surgeons for time was truly tight.
When a trauma surgeon got a critical patient on the way, right before the patient was even in the door they would have this healing cloak. Then the patient would arrive and they would start examine the patient as a healing aura surrounded them. This would improve the patient's condition and stabilize them while the surgeon either operates or comes up with a more specific treatment.
Also a lot of the triage staff would use it if there was going to be a lot of patients in a short time. Situations like a terrorist's bomb would mean a whole lot of critical and serious injuries rushing into the crisis center. This would mean everyone would have to work extra fast to save as many lives as possible. To facilitate this everyone would activate the healing cloak and would give each person coming in some healing energy. This would be low grade forms as to conserve their chakra for the most critical but it would reduce the seriousness of all the injuries coming in.
It was important to do this, for there wouldn't be much time for the most critical and this would buy them that time. Triage isn't only light healing, it was also categorizing and directing patient flow. The most critical are seen first because they need it, so it sometimes make wait times long. This is the crux of any medical facility for there are always more injuries and illnesses than doctors. And triage is a way of how to benefit the most in the shortest time.

??/30 Healing Hands, Cloak of Healing Hands Rank: "C" Skill: Supplementary Effect: User can hold a Jutsu of Healing in their aura, allowing allies to grab it when needed. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: When the user performs a Healing Hands technique, the user may choose to hold the charge of the touch technique for up to 6 rounds. Some of the more senior medical ninja who actually go on mission told Kyodai that the cloak really comes into effect while out on mission. He was told if he wanted to be effective out in the field that this was one jutsu to learn. His job would be to keep the party up and keep going, this would make that job a lot easier. So one of the older shinobi of the clinic decided to show him certain basics of the Cloak of healing.
Basically it was transferring the concept of healing hands but applying it to the whole body. This meant any part of his body can discharge healing chakra. Now this had its own complications for he would be applying healing before knowing the full extent of an injury. Also he would literally just be marshaling the body's own defenses to do most of the work. He wouldn't be using this for more invasive procedures.
Those we just some of the drawbacks but they were minor compared to the benefit of being able to constantly heal others for little over half a minute. It was a short timed jutsu but it could mean the difference between life and death out in the field for his teammates. That is who this kind of jutsu is truly for helping team mates stand up after an injuring attack. And since Kyodai would be there to observe the attack he would know a lot of the pertinent information on a injury.
This cloak was positively charge as also to help with the healing process. The healing process is a complicated process that require a ton of concentration and knowledge on the part of the Medical ninja. And this cloak was no different, this was a technique that only those that can parcel out the chaos of a medical facility or a battlefield could use. It required an heighten awareness out of the Medical nin to know just how to heal sometime off a quick glance.
And this cloak is a constant drain on a shinobi's chakra reserves so he couldn't use this if he was already low on reserves. He would need to be in tip top shape himself to use this technique of healing. Kyodai needed to train up and brush up on his medical knowledge to make sure he wasn't mis-healing his friends. The ultimate test would have to be a battlefield test, but until then he would learn from his fellow doctors.

Another Limitation that Kyodai was discovering as he tried to form a Cloak of Healing Hands himself was it was limited by the level of healing the Medical Nin was capable of doing. Though that made a lot of sense in many ways it meant that he had to study hard to get the best use out of his version of healing hands. His version could only heal light or truly minor wounds depending on the level of healing chakra he let flow through him.
This was an interesting turn for the young man as he though he was ready to channel more but everyone started somewhere. He watched his elders wit two sets of eyes the first set was his normal vision. The second set allowed him know exactly how the flow was set up to be. Even though his heritage of the Clan Hyuuga hadn't developed much yet, he still could see the flow of chakra. This gave him a helping hand when it came to learning techniques involving chakra flow.
He used his special sight to see how the senior medical ninja balanced and distributed their chakra to produce this technique. Everyone was slightly different but the general parameters were the same. He would have to distribute his chakra across his entire body and keep an even pressure up. This was similar to the techniques his father was trying to teach him for combat and defense.
Though those techniques of fighting required the same kind of fine control the quality of the chakra was very different. It was to Kyodai that chakra's had flavors to his vision based off intent and purpose. This wasn't the same as the difference he could sense from different releases or he would be able to see if he trained. It was the diffence between healing and hurting but the principles were so closely tied.
It was a mystery for another day but made Kyodai very thoughtful on future training. He could use the knowledge gained from one technique and apply it to another very different one. This was what made the Hyuuga such a dangerous clan and a powerful clan. Kyodai was earning a right to stand among the greats even though he was 'only' a Branch member of the clan. He never had a chance at becoming part of the main clan but he held less resentment than some.

Cleanse, Wound Rank: "D" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: Cleans out a wound so it may be bandaged without fear of infection. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: A technique devised for whenever a Medical Doctor is low on Chakra. The user performs this technique over a wound allowing the chakra to clean any wound to ensure infection does not take place. Afterwards the user may bandage the wound. This technique was devised just in case the user does not have any anti-disinfectant chemicals while having low chakra reserves to fully heal a wound. Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor
Kyodai was told this was a must have in any respectable medical ninja. This was because they continually get to a point of not having enough chakra to take care of every wound. This was where the ability to cleanse a wound comes in handy. For any medical personnel knows you must take care of infection before you can bandage a wound. An your not always going to be carrying antiseptic on yourself in the field. So he was told to learn how to cleanse a wound and proper bandaging techniques.
This technique took very little chakra indeed to perform. It was less than other techniques of similar function. By letting chakra flow and form over a wound it protects the wound from further infection while eliminating any micro organisms that may be there already. This was how it cleanse the wound in the first place. It was a battle on a micro scale, because the person performing was literally fighting micro organisms.
Only because the chakra countering any infection from setting into the wound before it became a disease or worse did the chakra user have to use so little. The barrier the chakra sets up is like placing a shield that stops any reinforcements to the organisms side. Then with a flood of chakra those that were already on the wound drown and die before they can organize themselves against the host. This was an important step in healing that wasn't full healing with chakra.
There were limits to everything of course, and this was a preventive measure. The more complete measure was the cleansing of disease if the organisms were able to get organized and invade the patient. For that was what a disease was a legion of micro organisms battling to take over or control parts of a human body. And this process usually destroyed and hurt the body for battles waged internally was always over territory that could be hurt.
Kyodai practiced the technique a few times in the triage department, one to save his chakra for worse wounds. Second not every person needed the rapid healing of healing hands, and this was a good place to practice. He practiced daily while in the triage rooms growing in confidence and surety of how it was done. A gloved hand over a wound and a small flood of chakra to cleanse it and he was done. It didn't even take much out of the patient.

Oxygen Supply Rank: "D" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A technique that widens the respiratory passages to allow higher oxygen flow. Special: --- Drawback: Must maintain technique for half a round to ensure passages remain open. Description: User focuses chakra in the hands creating a faint green-white glow around them. The chakra flows into the respiratory system widening the passages and stimulating a flow of oxygen. After half a round the flow is restored. This technique is mostly used for CPR purposes, and to increase airflow from an out of breath person. Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor.
Since Kyodai was an emergency technician of sorts there was another handy trick he learned in the triage area. The handy trick was the ability to open the pathways of the lungs of the patient. This was mostly used when a person was unconscious or couldn't breath. This happened occasionally when a patient was brought in that there state was such they needed help breathing. By helping their pathways it made it easier for the patient to breath.
This was used in combination with some basic CPR techniques that all the medical personnel should know. This especially helped if the person swallowed to much water or something while like swimming. So a lot of the life guards around the swimming holes know the technique as well. It had many a benefit when trying to save someone's life from drowning or smoke inhalation.
Kyodai would focus his chakra through the chest of the patient and let his chakra expand the pathways that are numerous in the lungs. It created a faint green-white glow around his hands as he performed the technique. With the increase airflow into the longs, the red blood cells of the human body could bring more oxygen to the rest of the body. This also helped for normal exercise and being out of breath. For the entire body needed oxygen and other airborne chemicals to function properly.
The Lungs acts as the gateway to allow the proper mixture of gases into the body but ever so often the wrong gases or liquids get there. This hampers the proper gases from getting to here they need to. By performing CPR to expel the wrong stuff in the lungs and opening the passage ways to enable the right gases passage way it can save a person's life. There are machines that can help a person breath as well but they are not always available.
Kyodai has used this on a few patients before when they came in from smoke inhalation when a fire broke out in their houses. It helped them breath and get the soot out of their lungs. Saving lives was the whole point of a Medic and any way to make that easier was a good way. He practices daily all the techniques he knows plus learning new ones. This was to improve his abilities as a medical professional.

Kyodai also practiced mundane healing in the Triage room. This gained him the inherit knowledge needed to properly perform the medical jutsus in the first place. No Medical ninja started out without knowing the basics and how to do things without chakra first. The chakra methods were ways to speed up and help the natural Healing but they were not the only ways of doing things.
For proper triage Kyodai had to know certain skills to do it appropriately. He had to know how to diagnose all kinds of wounds and illnesses. He could tell between uncouncious body with a faint vitals versus a dead one with no vitals. He would know how to stabilize an already serious wound. He could even perform CPR on a dying or critical patient if needed to. But those were just the basics.
For more advance stuff he was being trained to act as a midwife to pregnant patients, how to diagnose more variety of injuries and illnesses. He would eventually have to set bones, amputate limbs that are to far gone. He could provide critical care if need be with the proper knowledge. He would combine the practical knowledge gained from working in triage with the reading of the various medical texts he had in his library.

Kyodai would come in early in the morning to take that shift in the triage rooms of the crisis clinic. He was considered trust worthy enough to know the basics and other doctors were around if he needed help. He was a useful sort of assistant during these shifts for he was knowledgeable. He only really lacked some practical experience which he was getting by working in the triage area.
He was one of the first people that people would see when they entered into the clinic. He would have to quickly figure out was wrong with a perspective patient and direct them to the appropriate room. Sometimes he would be the one doing a light healing or using mundane methods of healing on a person. This allowed the more experienced doctors time for more critical patients and made things run smoothly.
Whenever he wasn't actively dealing with a patient though he would read from his medical texts. He was studying to become a better doctor in his own right and more so to be a field medical nin. This was important to the young man for he was following in the steps of his medically trained mother who had died when he was younger. This was his way of being close to the memory of her in his own right. This was his chosen path of profession.

Kyodai slowly learned practical anatomy though constant exposure to various aliments and injuries. Most of the healing techniques required an intimate knowledge of a patients organs and how they interact. Without that knowledge the techniques are so much less effective. And Kyodai wanted to be more effective not less as he performed various healing techniques. The knowledge would seep into him everyday he went to work at the center.
Also while Kyodai was there, there would be times where various doctors would discuss diagnoses with each other in detail to figure out an aliment. The Emergency room was on the other side of the Triage so sometimes critical and strange cases would come by Kyodai. This would lead him more insight on the human body and sometimes mind. It was all facinating knowledge that he was learning.
And during down times he would ask questions and study with more experienced medical personnel. Kyodai was usually studying when he wasn't actively in a case because part of working on the living was investigative guesswork. To make the best educated guesses he had to know exactly how the body worked. He had to know fine details in some cases to figure out how a illness was affecting a person.
