Complaint

I was teaching one of my students , Truce. In one of his own lessons. I had beforehand gotten mad at him for trying to argue with me, I admit, I was in a horrible mood at the time. And I totally took Truces posts the wrong way, we ended up in an arguement, however - through PM. And chat in the Cbox, things were fixed, and we're fine now.

That isn't quite the problem though - ' Big Black Fish ' , regardless of the rules I put up in my school, decided to come into Truces lesson and start flaming me for my apparently atrocious teaching. He initially called me a ' little bitch ' . Then ignorant. He then refused my request - which was to get out of the thread, as he was breaking rules. He tried to undermine my position as RP Teacher by stating that as he did not leave my thread, what I say does not go, kind of immature imo. Finally , he told me I suck. Quite the build up of insults huh?

Solution

Honestly, I'll let you staff you decide on that. Considering the flame and baiting was very obvious, I have no doubt this is gross misconduct. If I were staff, I'd probably give a 33% or something similar. Though - that could be me being biased. So, I'll let you guys decide. Thanks!

No need, I accept my 33% Heero. I would not have posted in her thread otherwise.

A teacher does not call her own student a dick when he or she asks a good question. She can't teach, her RP lesson's don't even help the students, she gets frustrated and angry at her students when they ask questions that pertain to the RP and would help their RP skill (and her warrant is "what I say goes"). If a teacher told me that 2 + 2 = 5 and then said "What i say goes" I'd respond with a fuck you, which is what I said in a polite way. She needed to be insulted.

Call it harsh, but, I fought fire with fire. Calling a student a dick is equivalent to calling a teacher a bitch; bitch.

As I said Heero, I was in a horrible mood. I was under stress that week, and kinda pissed off, I believe Truce may have said something to you about it? You sent me a message saying to try to calm down, as everyone has their bad days. Heres a link

Also, axcel - you're really in no place to comment. A one time thing because I was in a bad mood? And apparently I shouldn't be an RP Teacher? The point is this was no one elses business other than mine and Truces. One could've easily PM'd me this flame and trolling, where it could've been ignored, instead of breaking several of my own rules and filling up someone elses lesson with random OOC.

Though I agree with Axcel, I don't exactly think Kitsune should be stripped of her role or anything along those lines. Kitsunè, and yes, I get that my non-staffly opinion will mean squat to you, but this is an RP site. It isn't something where you are face to face with somebody, and have to DEAL with them when you're in a shit mood.

When you're in a shit mood? Don't post, cool off, cheer yourself up, etc. Don't just go there and insult your student, since that isn't exactly the setting you want in a learning environment, well, I'd hope that isn't the environment that is wanted.

I guess you guys should leave it for Heero to make a call, BBF is willing to accept a 33%, and unless BBF wants to try and get her demoted..there really isn't anything else to deal with, is there?

Although truthfully I read the thread, bad day or not, you can't take it out on students, they're there to learn from you, can you imagine if you were in highschool and every time you got a question wrong your teacher flipped his/her shit?

The those who can't do, teach, phrase is very poor and not well thought out, it takes a special kind of person to teach, and someone who is is willing to lose their temper over a small thing like that, well, sorry :/

Honestly, I took Kitty getting pissed with a grain of salt. I understand people get pissed. I understand people sometimes just crack, hell I do it all the time. Sometimes the internet is the best place FOR that too happen, cause you can just up and leave when things get too out of hand. But this isn't about kitty yelling at me cause she was pissed- I never was mad at that. She tought me on two things so far, and that's the only time she's snapped. Real life teachers probably do the same thing once in a while. This is about some guy randomly coming in, which probably wouldn't have cause much of a problem if he was just polite enough to try to say it without all the insults, and yelling at the teacher. You guys can stop trying to "protect" me. Kitty's a fine teach- I've read 90% of her thread and never seen a problem- this is about BBF. Stop turning the blame around. this could have been solved after the third post...
