I was finally onto an extremely powerful technique. Mist clones are great and all, but this explosive technique would give me the power to do some serious harm. This thing let me send shrapnel of hardened water. It lets me blow up water. Water. Who knew what a combination water and chakra could become. Pressurized wasn't a suprise, but explosive! What's next? Sticky traps made of water?

I went through the handseals and scooped up a handful of water. Was it going to be this easy. I let the chakra channel into the water. It became compressed. For a split second. Then it tumbled out of my hand. It flowed out like normal water. it took a lot of chakra to hoild water in an orb. I would have to make a shell out of chakra. It would need to be strong enough to withstand the water splashing around. And It had to be weak enough to be shattered on contact with the target. Tricky.

Setting up a big piece of plywood I found on the ground, I now had a target. If I threw the water with enough momentum I wouldn't need as much chakra to sustain the jutsu. Also the force of a spin would force the jutsu to keep a rounder form. I would have to wip the water at the target as soon as it came out of the pool. I couldn't give it time to drain out of my hand.

Putting my well thought through plan into action, I dipped my hand into the pool. I activate the handseals. I draw the water out of the pool. I pull my handout quickly. I wip it around. The water forms an orb. I allow my chakra to guide it to the target. I make it splash into thetarget. I guided it straight through. Not a single drop of water fell out of the orb, it simply thumped into the target and fell to the gorund. it stayed as an orb until I realesed the jutsu and the water fell to the ground as a small puddle.


I went through the chain of handseals and dipped mhy ahnds in the water. That was down to science. All I had to do was wip my hand out and I did. I launched a sphere of water flying at the target. The chakra shell was thiner. Water trickled out of the sphere. It became much smaller. As it impacted the target the good part happened. It shattered sending little shards of water going in all directions. The target was sprinkled in these little fragmentation wounds. once the jutsu wore off the water was gone but the cuts remained. The only promblem was the fact that they were small and few. They would of been bigger cuts if I had manage to keep the water in the spehere while it was flying. Unfortunately I am yet to find a happy compromise between strength and weakness.

Continuing on the jutsu, I remeber one of the simple joys of childhood. A waterballon was one of the most commn toys in the little village I lived in as a small child. When the ballon crashing into something the back of the ballon goes through and presses on the halted front. The water pressure is pushed outwards popping the balloons. The texture and pricklyness of the target helps, but it isn't vital.

I work on a thin and flexible chakra bubble. I consider a fabric-like pattern in the chakra. Then I go through the sequence of stgraightforward hand signals and dip my hands into the pool of water. As I pull my out a bubble of water remains with one of my hands. It wasn't a buble as it was full of water, not hollow. I raise it high and quickly begin putting the jutsu into motion.

I wip my hands around and let the link of chakra between my hand and the orb let go. When I let go I watched the projectile smack into the target. Instead of popping water just ran out through the hole in my chakra. The hole was created by my using of too little chakra. I had to reconsider the design. Because the borrom of the orb had too little chakr no water had been forced to splatter out the sides. It also just drained out instead of bursting because there were already holes in his orb.

Wait, if my orb is flying forward with a large amount of momentum then no water will spill out of the front. If I make it a very weak chakra barrier in the front then the stronger rear barrier will comeand smash int o the target and push out the sides until they reach a breaking point. At that point the orbs will act as fragmentation grenades and send shards of hardened water into the target. Perfect.

I rush through the handseals and scoop up some water. Once the water becomes spherical I move my hand over it to apply lots of chakra to the back, very little to the front and a medium amount to the sides. Once I was done applying the chakra i made sure the back was strong by probing it with a finger. Then I lifted my right arm and prepared to throw.

I threw the ball with all of my might. I soared into the target. when it arrived and struck the target, it became oblong. As the deformation continued water began to come out. The orb shattered and the fragments went all over. There was a large wet spot where the orb had stuck. Then as the hardness of the water faded you could notice little gahses with water running out of them. It looked like the plywood was bleeding.

Going through my handseals once more I threw two fistfulls of water into the air. Each one becomes an orb of water. I let go of the otbs and they float. They levitate! I snatch one out of the air and use my technique of applying diffrent amounts of chakra from earlier. then after I throw one I guide the other almost entirely with chakra. I push it into the target. Then I use the same force I used to guide the ball to press it inwards. This pushes shard of water and chakra through the weak points. The biggest weakpoint being in the front.

I realise there is more to this technique then meets the eye. this time Itoss three balls of water into the air. I hold thgem in the air for a second. Then i guide them towards the target. I dentonate them one at a time. One of them I detonate too early. A shard of water rips through my sleeve. I remember Daisuke's lesson of how water could hurt you when you become careless. This was a harsh reminder.

This water didn't require any physical control other than the water being thrown int othe air. I can hold the water together and control it with chakra. I can detonate it with chakra. This reminded me of what i had recently learned about the Toujitakumi clan. They could send things off and detonate them. Tossing the orbs works, but it works better when controlled by chakra. My chakra detonated orbs didn't leave those huge wet spots on them. The wet spots leaves less water to damage the target.

I consider the proper timing for detonating the waterballs. It if do it to late some water is smeared and wasted. If I do it too early, as my sleve shows, I could be hurt by the shrapnel. It was better to be late then early. Yet in an important battle too little momentum in the shrapnel could result in my death as I may not be able to defeat my oponent. Timing was of the escense. Maybe if I make the front much weaker fewer shards of water would reach me.

I creat an orb. Then I launch three more orbs. I make there backs strong and the fronts weak. I send them flying with great speed.I blow them up earlier. Only a little bit of water comes toward me. All of the water, for the most part, shoots forward towards the target. Same with the next orb. The third one I try channeling its movements alittle. I curve its path a tiny bit. I knock it so that it doens;t hit the target. Then I detonate the orb. It all goes into the forest. This shows that the orbs are completly controllable by chakra. Very little water was lost in the fast turn.

You know what, I think I should take a quick break from Ninjutsu. TIme for something I know better. Genjutsu. Oh. I totally forgot what the Takikage has taught me. The ninvisibility jutsu. Shoot. Better train that one up. If he doesn't think I took his training seroiously I might get a bad reputation.

Going through the handseals I invision my feet. More like my left foot. I have seen it so many times. My left boot falls off alot so I see my left foot a lot. I get its image into my mind. Then I reach down and touch my boot. I close my eyes and allow my chakra to coat over the boot. My boot glows kind-of rainbow for a split second. Then I see my foot. I see my foot, and the sole of my boot. I channel more chakra into the jutsu to no avail. More chakra didn't help. Genjutsu was in need of percise chakra control, not loarge amounts of chakra. A art of quality, not quanitity.

I dispel my jutsu. Darn. I need to appl y the coat of chakra over the entire boot. I remebered touching the Takikage and turning him invisible. What did I do diffrently then? Oh right. I allowed the chakra to seep over. I allowed it to find every single gap of the the target. I needed a flow of chakra. I cracked my knuckles, preparing for my next attempt.

I go through the quick set of handseals. Then I gather my chakra into my finger and reach down at my boot. I allow the chakra to slowly bleed off of my index and middle finger. onto my boot. I watch as my boot appears to disintegrate. ihold the illusion. Genjutsu isn't suposed to fade unti lyou tell it to. Or until I break focus. Or unless the target uses a jutsu to...

Snap! I lost focus and my boot popped back into existent. I neeeded to maintai nfocus. I worked on what I called my 'Genjutsu Mindset.' I closed my eyes and imagined my boot. I stopped smeeling. I tuned out the quiet song of a nearby bird. I went numb to the nice texture of my carg opants. I ignored the slight heat in the air. I went deaf to the noise of the waterfall. I became ignorant to the water droplests coming from the waterfall to my skin.

I allow my hands to enter my little bubble of psycological peace. I went through my sow and focused handseals. Then I reach down to my boot. I pushed all of my chakra ont omy boot. i let it flow and wash over the boot. I use it like chinese painting. I apply layers and pulses of chakra. every layer of chakra fades ther boot. After three thin layers the boot isn't there. Well it is, but it is invisible.

That happens even with limited Invisibility. I shake my boot a little bit. The chakra shifts around and small sections of my boot flicker in and oiut of vison. I decide to channel more chakra in. I allow a littlem ore chakra to seep into the technique. It forms one more layer of chakra. This feels far more sturdy and stable. Then I condense my chakra and steady it. then I lift my boot. I looks like I lifted my bare foot. This is good. I allow my chakra to densen even more.

Then I throw a skimpy, uncontrolable kick. I am no Taijutsu master. Yet my kick moves with a pretty good amount of momentum. And almost no invisibility fell off of the boot. I can still feel my chakra on the unseen boot. Then I fumble for a while I take off my boot. With a lot of trial-and-error I mange to slide my boot off my foot. I take it and toss it into the air. It thumps into the ground. It makes a noise and disturbs the grass. Yet it doesn't return into existance. Continuing to play around a fumble arounf for my boot. I finally found it and pick it back up.

I toss it at a tree. Not with a lot of strength. It just hits the tree with a thump. It falls to the ground and sits. As the jutsu begins to fade I reach back over to the boot anfd fell around. Once Ifele he boot I add a little more chakra. Then I pick up the boot and toss it hard at a rock. It smacks back into existance. I note to myself that if it get's hit with suficient striking force the genjutsu will break.

I apply the genjutsu again. Theoretically I might be able to make this jutsu last until further notice. Unrealistic for a ninja of my skill level. Possible for a Jonin possibly. More like a Senin thing. I just hold the genjutsu stil . I watch the boot and leave it alone. I slide it on my foot, and with a lot of stumbling, get it on my foot. Then I continue to watch the boot.

I walk around. I let the boot's effect fade. I then go through the hadseals. Let's see if I can turn one big thing invisible. I go quickly through the now boring handseals. They really don't vary too much from those fo Limited Invisibility. I just add a coupl handseals. And Subtract a few. That simple.

I reach out and touch a tree. I maintain contact with it. It feels as if another force is pushing my chakra back. I force my chakra to spread. slowly, spreading form my hand, the tree begins to become invisible. I force it. It is as if I need chakra to move chakra. Then once the tree becomes completely invisible the jutsu becomes virtually effortless.
I climb into the tree. By using act of tree climbing. Once I get up there I sit daintily in a tree branch. Then I deside that won't hel pme train. I need to be able to make the jutsu last while I use other jutsu. I feel around until I feel an acor. I pick it up and toss it.

As I throw the nut it becomes visible. It splooshes into the waterfall pool. I go through handseals and use hte extra bit of mist to make a mist clone. Then I find an invisible couple of leaves that have collected rainwater. I activate a jutsu. The Exploding Water Ball technique. It brings up a pretty good sized orb of water. Then I maintain the waterball and toss it at the mist clone. I make the waterball explode when It gets near the mist clone. After all of this I begin to feel a little bit of tug fro mmaintaining the genjutsu. I notice that my focus hasn't stayed one-hundred percent on the genjutsu. Is this a sign of stronger Genjutsu?

I regenerate my mist clone. The genjutsu gets harder. I make a Hydra clone. Every bit of chakra makes this technique harder. Then I have the mist clone punch the hydra clone over and over again until I have a whole bunch of Hydra Clones. Then I prepare my exploding waterball. I blow up the clones with the waterball explosion. After this I begin to feel weaker. At least now I know my limit. I cancel all of my other techniques. I realise the genjutsu isn't hard if I use only it. It is sustainable only on its own.

I wonder if the genjutsu can be sustained without conscious support. I try to doze off. As I stop paying attention I notice aa tug. A slight pull of chakra at the edge of my cosciousness. I feel that the jutsu requires me to acknoledge it at all times. If I ignore the signal I notice small bits of the tree reapearing. I refocus on that little tug. Then I channel extra chakra to that little mental spot of my mind. I feel the feeling fade. It is a couple minutes before it comes back. I must allow chakra to go to the jusu to feed its hunger. I can feed it as it needs it or I can feed it some in advance. Maybe thats how people maintain genjutsu. By finding their balance between in advance and on time.
