Alrighty, again with the paragraphs, but I've been a GM and BM and assistant here, and I just took a look at the GM requests and it looks like we're drowning in them right now. Just trying to help out here you know, it's not like I'm a terrible RPer.

This is in part because my own RP is going very slowly and I want more, and because I just lol'd a little at how many requests there are and how few GMs there are.

Really, I have nothing to do but school, so I have plenty of time to try and play keep up.

In the depths of the oceans surrounding water country, a terrifying new evil has spawned, and its creation is destroying all that the new world has sought to create. The darkness has spread from the depths of the ocean to the skies and has turned the Lands of Water into a dark place, the all encompassing evil swelling and becoming a dark fog that is poisoning everything. The wildlife and forests are slowly dying, being strangled by the horrid forces at work in the pit of the ocean. The once crystalline oceans now are choked black, the waters filled with the corpses of fish and birds, all unlucky enough to be captured and devoured by the seemingly unstoppable evil. Locals of the area that have evacuated have named the foul beast, Cthulhu, a demon of the depths, one that spreads evil and devours goodness and the souls of little children. It began merely as a tale to scare the children of coast cities and towns, however, as people began disappearing, and things began to get strange when the tides turned and the waters turned black. Disease and fear spread, forcing people to leave their homes and relocate further inland, but they could not escape the curse of the deep.

Those marked by 'Cthulhu' cannot travel far inland without receiving great and crippling pain, and need to be close to the ocean at all times, able to drink only the black waters, slowly becoming something dark and twisted. Their souls slowly lost to the oceans until one day, they just vanish, some say they are dragged into the depths of the ocean to join their master, their essence and sadness feeding its power, the darkness growing and gripping the planet more and more every day. Those who are marked by Cthulhu are those that defy it, the ones that hunt its souls and try to save them, the ones who first drank the water of the beast. Those who oppose the black mark are the ones that cannot travel far from water, once they save a soul from Cthulhu, by killing a trapped person, one who has fallen prey to the water, thusly transferring the curse of death from the innocent to the one who has taken a life. If the one who obtains the black mark through killing tries to escape in land, they will make it about three miles before the pain paralyzes them, the headaches growing progressively stronger every step they take until it is unbearable.

Each day the soul lives on land, the will to live is slowly drained until they are willing to swim out into the black waters and become one with Cthulhu, the deity which has begun to overrun their mind. The souls are lost to the plane of the living, entering a realm that no soul has ever escaped, the City of the Old Ones, R'lyeh, Cthulhu's temple. This is where the souls gathered by Cthulhu are collected, those who were contaminated by force forever one with teh great demon beast, but those who willfully took on the Black Mark of the deep are spared, partly alive in the palace, however, due to their life, they are sought after by the dead, the ones who want souls so they can return to the surface world. Willfully taking the life of one with the Black Mark is essentially stealing the soul of that person, and when that person is finally absorbed into the dark beast, one of the two souls obtained is the one that is taken from the body. However, those who steal souls are met with a dire fate in the palace, as they are hunted by both the haunted spirits, and the Star Spawns, the offspring of Cthulhu from the stars, great evils which have not quite collected enough to poison the oceans and the skies as their father.

Those with souls are beacons to those who hunt for souls to escape, as they have a chance to face Cthulhu and have a very slim chance of escaping. However, due to the dampening fog that corrupts the entirety of the City of R'lyeh, and the fact that it strengthens Cthulhu, especially when he can devour the souls that try to escape his clutches, which ultimately make him stronger. However, to even make it as far as the god of the realm, soul keepers, the name dubbed to those who contain a soul within themselves, must be able to survive countless waves of the Soulless, the desperate husks of once human beings, driven by the smell and taste of a soul, have only one goal in mind, to kill the containers and to devour the souls themselves, even though their bodies are nothing more than dried shells of what they used to be, and if a soul were to invigorate their bodies, they would merely die again, their bodies collapsing in on themselves, the soul going free. Once a soul is taken from the body, a soulless has the ability to obtain it before it is absorbed into the mist, if it is taken, then they need to find another soul container and take it. Once the soul is taken, the soulless cannot be killed by practical means, only destruction of the body will kill them, or severe damage, then repossession of a soul, making it so they can die a human death.

If the soulless do not collect the soul, then it is likely that a soul container will be encountered by a Shade, a creature that is created of non space, of the dark fog that envelopes all life in R'lyeh. The Shades look as though they have fallen from the sky, lights within their bodies, entire galaxies, they are passageways outside of reality, and have the power to draw the soul from the body with a touch, and due to their consistency, they are extra-ordinarily hard to detect. Once a soul is taken by a shade, the only way to take it back is a travel through their own realm, and a battle will ensue between the mind of the soulless and the shade. They are primarily mind tricksters, however, they have been known to use mimicry of the soulless itself, even though when the soul is lacking they can only use one release or perception that they know, the Shade has access to all their stocks of chakra based attacks, making them very dangerous creatures. The only person who can engage a Shade in battle for a soul that has been taken is the person from whom the soul was stolen, they can be tracked, but it is difficult to track them, as they seem to have the ability to reappear anywhere within R'lyeh.

Finally, the last things before Cthulhu that a Soul Container will encounter is the Star Spawn, devilish creatures that have fallen in the wake of the dark beast, what some would call its children, and what others would call abominations to the fabric of this plane of reality. The Star Spawn are beings that have fallen from the carapace of Cthulhu, and are viscously attracted to souls, they will kill Soulless and Shades to get to a Soul container, and their power is terrifying, ranging from dark to abominable, these creatures are locked down in the heart of R'lyeh, however, when the scent of a soul enters the area, they are driven mad and often escape the bounds that has been placed on them by their 'father'. The beast sees them as much of a problem as Soul Containers due to them attacking it because of its high soul count and the stench of death and souls surrounds it. They are often killed by their creator, and often even release souls when they are killed, sometimes Soulless go after these creatures of absurdity to return their own lives.
