Personality:
I will fight!
All Tenkuu knows is to fight; he fights because he has to, because he wants to, and because he just doesn’t have any other choice in the matter. Tenkuu’s hands were made to form a fist. Everyone is brought into this world kicking, and screaming, and crying their little pathetic eyes out. It’s sickening, isn’t it? Balls of flesh called infants turn into little hairy brats of children that don’t know what’s good for them. And all those brats that are lucky enough to survive go on to be ignorant adults that pave the way for even more useless fleshy wastes of space to come into this world of ours! We are over-occupying the space that was given to us. Tenkuu is very much aware of all this. The way he sees things, the human race is one thing, but the “ninja race” is a whole different breed altogether. And he’ll keep thinning the herd until the day he dies to guarantee space for him in this world of bloodshed and backstabbing.
I will prosper!
Matsuda Tenkuu; he’s a kid that’s only after fulfilling his own goals- and anyone else’s that will help him along the way. What are those goals, you ask? Well, Tenkuu will hack, slash, and break his way through the ranks of Otogakure if need be to secure power for himself. But he is perfectly fine being pointed towards the enemy and having a field day with their perceptions of pain. To be a ninja in Otogakure is a dream job for Tenkuu; he couldn’t be a luckier nutcase. He gets to lash out and harm others while he gets paid to do it. All the while, the village is supporting him in his efforts to become even stronger. Otogakure is like a drug dealer giving Tenkuu his fix. Tenkuu would never leave the village unless he absolutely had to. Why get them on his tail and turn life into a game of cat vs. mouse when he can just bite his tongue and stay out of the spot light. In times of war, the ugliest part of humanity is known to appear. And, well, Tenkuu is here- and he doesn’t plan on going anywhere.
I will die!
Death is an inescapable part of the life that we all live. And it’s what every ninja signed for, as well. Tenkuu will never welcome Death to his doorstep with open arms, but with tightened fists. When Death does make an appearance, Tenkuu will meet with him smiling; for he almost looks forward to the day to have that release. To be able to look back and say that he conquered will be enough for Matsuda Tenkuu. A good death will be one covered in blood and sweat. To die old and in his sleep would bring disgust to Tenkuu. The idea of meeting an equal on the battle field that might just be his match excites Tenkuu beyond belief. Talk about getting your rocks off; this kid lives for the thrill of it all. With the way things are going, Tenkuu will die young if he doesn’t start slowing down.

Okay, Tenkuu has some pretty rocking hair to say the least. Just thought I’d clear that up now before I go any further. Tenkuu’s hair is surprisingly soft to the touch for being a guy that doesn’t exactly take care of his appearance. His hair is almost fluffy it’s so light. The lack of care he puts into his appearance is very obvious, due to the fact that his hair is always appearing like he just rolled out of bed before you saw him; with his straight hair poking out every which way. Tenkuu doesn’t necessarily have a hair style- as much as, in spite of all his efforts to keep his hair down; it always manages to stick up. The battle with his hair is a fight Tenkuu may never win. Tenkuu’s hair is a very piercing color of jet black, similar to the color of coal. The bangs of his hair fall just in front of his eyes slightly, not hindering his sight in any way.
Tenkuu has an almost heart-shaped face really. His eyebrows the same dark black color as his hair of course, giving him a very intense appearance. His ears are of average size, hanging on the side of his head; slightly pointed, but nothing ridiculous like some sort of Keebler elf. His eyes almost blend in with his hair, seeing as they are nearly the same color. Tenkuu’s eyes are a darker shade of grey, causing him to look grim and saddened most of the time- even when he isn’t feeling these emotions currently. Can’t really control what genetics threw at you, can you? His nose is petite and sits there casually in the middle of his face, completing the set in a way. And Tenkuu’s lips are slender and a light shade of pink. Those lips only seem to find a smile in the darkest of times. Being the young age of eight, Tenkuu need not worry about facial hair any time soon, so his face remains as smooth as ever.
Tenkuu has the typical build for the average eight year old, but just with a tad more definition in the muscles that are rapidly making their appearance on his frame. Standing at 4’11, Tenkuu hopes to keep growing and one day may be 6’0- because he has this pre-conceived notion that being 6’0 makes you a man. Tenkuu has a light build, mostly due to the fact that he’s still a child and has yet to hit puberty. But he hopes to one day grow to be a mighty man, indeed. But for right now- he just has to deal with being a just over a hundred pound light weight. Tenkuu’s skin has a golden-brown tint to it that would show that he spends much of his time out and about, soaking in those rays of sun.
Tenkuu only really owns one outfit, so don’t hate on his “Doug Funny-esque” wardrobe. He wears a loose fitting T-shirt, orange in color, absolutely all the time. He won’t part with it if he has something to say about it. Favorite shirt does not come off: that’s a rule. So, you better not mess it up! With that orange T-shirt, Tenkuu wears a pair of black pants that hang loosely over his legs, but stay securely on his waist with the assistance of an orange belt. And over the orange T-shirt, Tenkuu commonly wears a black jacket that goes with his pants, six buttons on the right side where he can close it if desired. For shoes, he wears the typical, fast-paced sandals the other shinobi wear on missions that look like “combat sandals” really. Tenkuu carries his trusty two feet long tanto around on his back, secured by a thick string that goes over his right shoulder, across his chest, and under his left arm pit.
Background:
Matsuda Tenkuu; he’s no one special, just another kid. He’s just another one of many, another sheep in the flock of the ignorant. Tenkuu was born in Oto no Kuni (Land of Sound), in Otogakure (Village of Sound). He was born to a mother and a father, like many other children are. It just so happens that both of Tenkuu’s parents were shinobi in Otogakure, servants to the village and the rulers of the land. His parents shed blood, sweat, and tears for the village with little to no reward, but being able to support their small family they shared together. Tenkuu’s story is one of normality and simplicity; trapped in the folds of complacency, forever repeating the average tasks of his average fore fathers. But it gets better: Tenkuu thirsts for change. He will bring about change through his fists, through blood, and through obtaining power!
Everything was going smoothly in the life of the newly born baby; Tenkuu had two Jounin as parents that were waiting to welcome him into this world and give him a great start on life as a shinobi of Otogakure (Village of Sound). Too bad no one ever lives happily ever after any more these days. The very same day that Tenkuu was born, his father was carrying out a high-ranking mission at the Kage’s request. Bad went to worse on the mission, and the two man squad was compromised behind enemy lines. Tenkuu’s father sacrificed himself to ensure that his comrade escaped safely. The next day, Tenkuu’s mother had the news broken to her by the Kage himself. Mother and son wept together; in that moment, the mother grew to resent the son.
Just another day in the neighborhood! All the kids are running around town, in a hurry to start at the academy, ready to become shinobi like their parents before them. A loud scream is heard from the Matsuda’s home, a female scream to be exact. Suddenly, the sound of glass shattering is heard shortly after. Some of the kids on the way to the academy stop and stare at the house, but are quickly ushered away by their wary parents. Opening the door, Tenkuu looks back into the house, and shouts “Old bat! I’ll walk myself to the academy. Try drinking a little bit more; maybe it’ll make you a better mother!”
Tenkuu slams the door behind him, sticks his hands in his pockets, and continues walking down the street toward where he thinks the academy is located. A tall man with bright blonde hair steps out from what seems to be nowhere, a blank look on his face like he really couldn’t care about anything whatsoever. Not acknowledging Tenkuu, the man says coldly “Listen, you’re going the wrong way. Turn around.” Tenkuu turns, staring at the man, and snaps back “I knew that, loser! I was taking a longer route. Needed to walk off some anger; the drunk tried hitting me with another one of her bottles again.”
The man would be Hogosha Hisou, the comrade that Tenkuu’s father died to protect. Hisou made sure to stick around the Matsuda family after Tenkuu’s father died, dropping off groceries, money, or anything they may need. Tenkuu figured Hisou felt guilty for letting a father, a husband, and a friend die instead of himself; so, he thinks he can obtain some kind of salvation by being a substitute father for the Matsuda family. Too bad Hisou can’t manage to make Tenkuu’s mom quit drinking her life away, though; or, keep her from singing Tenkuu to sleep at night with screams of how he should have never been born. But you won’t catch Tenkuu complaining. He’s on his way to become a shinobi, one step farther from his mother and one step closer to real power.
Tenkuu applied himself 150% to the academy and his studies, but he was always coming up short with molding chakra. This infuriated him to no end, making things at home ten times worse. Hisou had checked up on Tenkuu one day and heard this shocking news. But Hisou wasn’t necessarily surprised. Tenkuu’s father was not able to mold chakra like others in the village when he was just a young Genin; neither was Hisou. Hisou and Tenkuu’s father grew up relying on Taijutsu to fight their battles, and to ultimately win them as well. Hisou proudly took Tenkuu under his arm and assisted him in his training for the academy, helping him understand where his limits stop and start with this new realization.
As Hisou helped Tenkuu train, he saw an anger in his fighting that he had never seen before; almost savage. Most fight to protect, but every move Tenkuu made had a destructive force behind it. Like, every punch he threw was to kill. Hisou never allowed Tenkuu to spar with the other academy students, fearing he may not stop. But Tenkuu soon graduated the academy under Hisou’s ever so watchful eye, ready to start his life as a Genin in Otogakure; ready to take what he wanted.
