The Creation of a New Team [P]

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Soft sounds began to flood the air, seemingly coming from within the forest, just beneath it's surface. It didn't take long for the sounds to grow and become louder, filling Ryuuchou's ears, and as they did so his view of the area was blocked by Takeru's jumping up and apparently getting ready for something to happen. His new teammate had taken a battle ready stance, and as his vision became unobstructed once more, the object in the sky was now Ryuuchou's last concern. Standing by the edge of the forest was a bear. Ryuuchou didn't know much about bears, and he couldn't see it incredibly well, but his first thought was that it was small for a bear. Nevertheless, the large sounds and the crash that came with the sight of the animal proved that it was not something to take lightly.

The medic then saw Kaoru get up, taking a position as well that showed that she was preparing for something to happen. Ryuuchou, however, wasn't much of a fighter at all and had very little to offer on the physical combat front, but what he lacked in hand to hand prowess he made up for with Chakra Control, and what could be considered a sizable reserve of Chakra. Nodding at the Hoshigake's words, he too got up after a second and flipped back several times behind his new teammates. What Takeru said caused him to remember that his role of a medic was a role of support, to stick to the sidelines or to the back and help in whatever way he could without putting himself or others in danger. Without a medic, a team was at a significantly lower survival rate. That didn't mean he couldn't fight though.

Standing about 9 meters from his teammates, Ryuuchou produced three different hand seals, the Rat, Dog and Boar, building up a small but sufficient amount of Chakra up. With a slam of his hands into the ground, the male created a field of mud with a size of about 10 m x 10 m, which he would be able to use as a source for other mud based jutsu that he knew, or perhaps even his teammates might know. If the technique reached them and got their feet a bit muddy he would apologize later, but there shouldn't be much mud on them. For now his hands were clapped together and he was ready to cast another jutsu should the need arise.

Deido Nohara no Jutsu (Mud Field) [TP: 10]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Causes the area (10m x 10m) around the user, given that it is earth and stone, to become mud.
Special: Rat, Dog, Boar
Drawback: It does not work in certain environments, such as tile and metallic floors.
Description: After the hand signs are performed, the user slams his/her hands into the ground. If the environment allows it, the area around the user will become a thick and heavy mud. No chakra is required to maintain the state of the area.
Limit: Earth Release, Water Release

The bear would look around until its gaze focused on them, the three genin who had arisen and assumed fighting stances. With a sort of deep grown it began lumbering directly towards them.

Meanwhile, high above, the figure would transition from flight to falling. Almost like how a bird dives out of the sky, but feet first, the figure perfectly vertical as it fell. It was pretty much directly above them when the fall began, and its descent would progress rapidly. However due to their focus on the bear it is unlikely (read 'highly unlikely') that any of them would notice the figure, at least not until it was very close.

Given how high up the fall began, it would take a bit of time for the figure to land (next turn). Once the fall began the figure would also blur greatly, to the point that normal eyes would see the figure falling but would be unable to discern its features.

[Hoshigake, Takeru]

I wouldn't hesitate once it began moving, even if it was slow at first. As much as a brute as I was, I wouldn't play this off like it was nothing. My hands quickly came together, flowing effortlessly through seal after seal as water from the air itself condensed, coming together before the three of us. It would first be that of a small ball of water, growing rather extremely quickly as time passed. Within seconds, the great shark would position itself before us, reaching its maximum eight feet in length and six feet in height. It would easily cover the bear if he were to attempt to move through.

As an extra defensive measure, my hands continued to plow through seal after seal, focusing chakra as the water again took shape. Upon the back of the shark grew large spikes, maximizing at two feet in length. They jut from all around the back of the shark, making a formidable defense for anyone who tried to break through. My hands remained ever ready, clasped together as I waited for the beast to approach. Chakra flowed restlessly about my person; it had truly been a while since I'd been able to use any jutsu.

Name: Suiton: Samekabe no Jutsu (Water Release: Shark Wall Technique) [20] [70] [100]

Effect: Creates a small wall in front of the user that takes on the appearance of a shark.
Special: Bird, Dog, Snake, Rat, Ram
Drawback: Is only capable of blocking one technique of the same rank as the technique.
Description: A powerful defensive technique that has been utilized by the Hoshigake clan for a long time. By molding their chakra into a portion of water, they will cause that water to rise upwards in front of them, taking the form of a shark. The technique is also a pre-requisite technique for many attacks that build off of the technique, expanding this viable defense into a powerful offense once the imposing attack has been nullified. The Shark Wall will remain in place for three turns or until it has been destroyed. At maximum, the shark is six feet in height and eight feet in length.
Limit: Must know Suiton no Jutsu. Must be a part of the Hoshigake Clan.

Name: Samekabe: Samekiba no Jutsu (Shark Wall: Shark Fang Technique) [70]

Effect: Used in conjunction with Suiton: Samekabe no Jutsu, this technique forces a Samekabe creation to suddenly jut spikes from all around the shark.
Special: Snake, Ox, Dragon, Monkey, Ram
Drawback: Decreases the defensive ability of Suiton: Samekabe no Jutsu by one rank.
Description: At the cost of lowering the defensive abilities of the Suiton: Samekabe no Jutsu and all of its' offshoot techniques, the user can force a wall of spikes to suddenly jut out of a creation. These spikes extend from all directions from a Samekabe creation a maximum distance of two feet. The water used for this technique is highly condensed, giving it powerful penetration power.
Limit: Must have Suiton no Jutsu. Must know Suiton: Samekabe no Jutsu. Must be a part of the Hoshigake Clan.

[/i]. I took one glance at Takeru and saw the handseals he was performing and nearly hissed. I had been so looking forward to beating the living hell out of the bear. Now there was a giant spiny liquid shark in my way. Fantastic. With another grunt I looked back at the charging bear. Would it make it through the defense, or not? I'd resume my stance once more, staring through the water's refraction at the approaching brown blob. If the animal made it past Gills' defense, I would be the one to hit it first. I promised myself that.

All the while, I had been totally oblivious to the diving figure above, its presence wiped clean from my mind.[/ul]

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Standing ankle deep in wet earth wasn't exactly Ryuuchou's idea of fun and it surely wasn't a great tactic, but the mud techniques he had learned were, to be quite frank, the only way he really had of fighting and helping in battle. Though he was a medic, a healer, he preferred to think of his healing skills as a last resort. If he could do anything to prevent people from needing those specific techniques he would be all the happier, and so the decision for mud had been made. Even as Kaoru made an irritated face and, what the medic thought was a slight grunt, he ignored it as best he could. He tried to get his senses on full alert as he could no longer see the bear, trying to hear it as best he could as it moved toward them. He decided to take a few steps forward, coming closer to Kaoru as he wove several hand seals, pushing his Chakra into the mud that he stepped through.

As he moved forward at the fastest pace possible in mud without tripping up, the liquid earth began to bubble in certain spots. Specifically five spots, spaced out rather well and, maybe even strategically, from each other. Two began to take form near Kaoru, one behind her body and one to the right. Another began to form a bit back from Takeru at his back, more towards the left. As for the remaining two, they bubbled up beside Ryuuchou as he walked, taking form quickly, beginning with legs that ended in paws.

As the medic ceased walking, the five bubbles too ceased movement. In the five spots stood wolves, obviously made from mud and stones. Hardened mud formed the shells for the creatures, with gooey centers swishing around within. Sharp stones formed sharp claws and fierce teeth, and they stood proudly and distinctively. They weren't the most durable of creations, but they would do against a bear should need be.

In the back of his mind, however, Ryuuchou felt that he had forgotten something. He had almost completely forgotten about the silhouette they had seen not moments before, hovering in the sky. At the moment, it was as if he had never noticed it at all and completely forgotten it's existence. Whatever it was.

Ninpou: Deido Garou (Mud Wolves) [TP: 10, 30]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Forms 3-5 wolves made out of mud with a hardened outside shell.
Special: “Handseals”, Hold Ram seal
Drawback: Not very tough, one decent D or C ranked technique will destroy it, depending on the rank of the technique used.
Description: Three wolves made out of mud with a hardened outside shell are created from a nearby source of mud. The outside layer of mud quickly hardens into a solid but thin shell of stone. They can run pretty quickly and can damage much like normal wolves because their claws and teeth are made from sharp stone. D ranked wolves can withstand one D ranked jutsu before they are destroyed. For the C rank two additional wolves are created and they are tougher, able to withstand two D ranked attacks or one C rank before being destroyed.
Limit: Earth Release, must have a source of mud.

As the bear approached, the ninja before it began further preparations for battle, summoning a spiked shark made of water and 5 wolves made of mud. Seeing this, the bear would stop its forward progress, cocking its head to the side in what appeared to be curiosity and confusion.

It was in that moment that all hell would break loose. Without warning, and in what would be a complete surprise to the three shinobi below, the falling figure would hit the ground, practically in their midst. The impact would be only five meters in front and slightly to the right of Takeru, a figure traveling at impossible speeds, spurred on by gravity. A blur to the eye at those speeds, the figure would cause quite the stir, kicking up a massive shockwave of dirt and dust with the impact, temporarily blinding everyone in the area and causing their balance to waiver a bit.

As the group recovered, peering through the dust, they would see the outline of a figure rise to its full height, and turn towards them. A deep, tough voice would boom out towards them. "STAND DOWN, SHINOBI OF TAKIGAKURE."

As the dust quickly began to clear, the figure would be revealed. Takeru would witness its features first, but the others' perceptions would follow quickly. A tall, deeply tanned man stood before them, facing the group. His face was hidden behind an easily-recognizable ceramic mask, symbolizing that he was a member of the prestigious ANBU Bear squadron.

This man's chest and arms are bare, rippling with muscles. His head is covered with a curious helmet that shields view from all sides, covered with the mask in front and a yellow plume on top. Of course the most notable feature about this person are the impressive 5 foot wings that stretch down from his shoulders, now situated comfortably and folded on his back. Although most would not notice, Takeru would find something strangely familiar about this man, and would see with a bit of effort that his true skin color was a shade of blue.

Also readily noticeable is the 4 foot diameter shield strapped to his left arm, complete with a sheathed katana thrust through its binding. Two more katanas are on his back, each handle extending over a respective shoulder. An additional shield is strapped to his back, although it would be difficult to notice due to the wings folded over it.

Additional equipment worn includes a total of 50 golden senbon in two forearm pouches, and a butt bag with 20 golden senbon wrapped in exploding tags, and three percussion grenades.

And there we were; three disputing people came together in one instant, and for a moment we would have actually made a decent team. The wolves stood behind us, eagerly waiting their turn. Kaoru was obviously itching for a fight, and I had my defenses set; another moment and I would have launched my wall forward in an effort to ward off the beast. Everything was going according to plan. That was, of course, until the explosion. The earth trembled as dust spread across the air. The shockwave came so fast I couldn't even begin to anticipate it.

I stumbled back a few feet, sinking deeper and deeper into the mud. I was dazed from the shock, my site blurred by both nausea and by the mist of dust. My body ached with the force that hit me, although it was quickly disappearing. I turned my eyes toward this new foe, he who claimed in such a boasting voice for us to stand down. But I'd be damned if I went down without a fight, but as the dust began to settle, my enhanced eyesight caught onto what we were really into.

This man could easily topple my own strength; his entire body was a rippling piece of muscle. His face was covered by the sign of the Bear, and suddenly it became aware to me that this was an ANBU member. My guard lowered as I began to lift myself from the mud, but I continued to study the monster that stood before us. Even more surprising about him, besides even his enormous shields, were the fact that this man had wings upon his back. Great angelic extensions folded over these shields, and his body was equipped with even more weapons on top of that.

Then came the most surprising fact, which was that his skin color was not so much tan as a normal person, but instead had a faint tint to it. Upon further inspection, I would discover it to be a blue hue, and however faint it was, it still showed. My eyes opened wide as I began to consider the possibility that this man was, indeed, one of my own kind. I wouldn't be sure until I asked, but this wasn't the time to open up on that subject. Still shaky from the blast, I lifted myself completely from the mud, taking the courage to ask...

"Who the hell are you?"

For an instant the moment stood still - what do we now? Would Takeru send his shark forth, or would the earthly creations that had been summoned - presumably by Ryuuchou - attack? I couldn't really make a move, being incapable of creating any Ninjutsu of my own, but I satisfied myself with the fact that I was the last line of defense - yeah, that'd do.

And then suddenly the ground was torn asunder.

An echoing crash boomed around the field, sending dirt and grit showering through our formation. The sound was deafening, and I desperately put my hands over my ears and buried my head in my chest, shielding it from the onslaught of rocks and gravel that beset my face. Through the blur of ear-splitting noise, I heard a voice, as deep and thunderous as the reverberating blast itself.

"STAND DOWN, SHINOBI OF TAKIGAKURE."

For a moment I was genuinely frightened. The voice seemed to pierce my skull and the protection I had provided for my ear - what kind of abomination could cause such destruction? But after a moment, the hail of earth died down, the noise eventually killing itself as it echoed through the empty space... and I looked up, taking my hands off my ears.

I was so rattled I almost charged head on at the figure I could dimly make out through the cloud of dust out of pure, raw instinct alone. But I refrained. I glanced at Takeru who was looking directly at the figure, as if he could already make the features of the demon; he looked aghast.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked, his tone mimicking his expression. I looked back, then, and found that some of the specifics were a little sharper now. The thing - whatever it was, was big, and looked like some kind of ogre, for how bulky it was. I also saw the silhouette of.... wings? What kind of unearthly being was this?

My god, this was designated to be a meeting of three simple shinobi of a common village. First we'd all gotten mad at one another, then we'd been attacked by ravenous wildlife - I wondered if the bear had been crushed in the impact, I felt sure some substantial damage would have been done to it, I couldn't see how close it had been - and now, it seemed, we were facing something from the underworld.

I should have slept in or something.[/ul]

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

It was funny how danger could bring three completely different people together. Even funnier was how just moments ago, they had been at odds and forming a team from the three of them seemed like the worst, most impossible idea that had ever been thought up by someone. Guess that spoke volumes for the teamwork that they already had and would be able to achieve.

It seemed that their preparation for battle worked, as the bear seemingly stopped moving toward them, or so Ryuuchou's ears told him. His wolves were still in position, and he felt that they were likely out of danger, but he knew not to let his guard down. Plus, he didn't want his Chakra to go to waste.

Then the ground rippled like an ocean beneath his feet and he was knocked off of his feet and into the mud that he had created. Dirt, rock and dust was kicked up into the air, obscuring the medic's vision and hitting him in the head with small rocks. The dirt in his eyes was less than pleasant, but it didn't hurt much so he worked to shake it from his head, still sitting on the ground, in the mud.

He couldn't bring himself to stand again either, he was too shaken. Instead he looked up from his current position and, with his eyes cleared of the dirt, looked for what had made the mess. All he could make out was a silhouette, but it was a big silhouette, and it had wings. Big wings. Perhaps it was what had been flying above them. Was it an angel that had come down from the sky to speak with them? Or maybe save them? He didn't think they needed saving, but who new how angels and guardian things worked? He did think, however, that it was a bit.... Bulky for an angel. Perhaps it was something else, like an enemy ninja. After seeing Takeru being part shark, he figured it was more than likely that bird people existed as well.

It then ordered them to stand down. The voice broke through the air and for a moment, Ryuuchou thought it might blow the dust away. It didn't, but it began to clear soon enough, and little by little the area became viewable again. Ryuuchou was compelled to stay in his place on his ass, somewhat afraid of the hulking creature.

The dust was just beginning to clear, my figure would soon be perfectly visible to all three of them. As I witnessed them strewn about, I frowned slightly, although such expressions would be invisible to prying eyes, as my entire face was covered. I had not intended to disrupt them quite so much....

The bear would be visible now, showing no visible damage or disruption from the impact. Its expression was certainly less confused at this point, and it did not seem concerned in the least about the three shinobi. It yawned towards the ANBU, letting forth a sort of moaning grunt.

"Who the hell are you?" An impudent question, as the genin could surely see my ANBU mask and the Taki crest stamped into my equipment. I simply ignored him for the moment, turning instead to regard the bear. "Aki.... are you scaring these poor shinobi? I TOLD you to wait until I arrived....." As I spoke to the bear my tone was almost condescending, a gentle rebuke. "Where are the others?" In response Aki began to make an elongated series of moans and groans, apparently speaking the language of the bears. But it was only a moment before my right hand come up, indicating for him to stop. "Look I don't want to hear your excuses right now, as long as they are coming soon it should be fine."

My little conversation aside, I turned my body once more to face the genin before me. It was probably time to address them. Looking at the one who had demanded who I was, I reached into my butt pouch with my right hand, pulling forth a small, folded sheet of paper. Unfolding it, I looked down at it for a moment, and them back up at the genin. This new tone was much less abrasive, and definitely softer, but still carried a deep bass undertone, as well as an undeniable gritty sound. "Takeru, I presume?" My head would turn slightly to regard the female next to him. "Kaoru? and Ryuuchou." Finishing my attendance with the last one who remained some distance behind them.

"I'm glad you are all here. My name is Marcus Seius the fourth (IV), but just Marcus will do fine. I am to be your team leader, or captain, if you will." Although my helmet and mask remained on, I would regard each carefully, interested to witness their actions and responses.

It seemed Takeru's somewhat emphatic inquiry would be neglected by the newcomer who, it appeared, was somehow allied with our mammalian friend. He actually talked to it. "Aki.... are you scaring these poor shinobi? I TOLD you to wait until I arrived....." Yeah. Bad bear. Could've wound up dead. At that moment the bear - Aki - appeared to respond, talking in a series of guttural grunts and moans. I was bewildered by the sight, and I wrinkled my nose involuntarily.

"Is he off his rocker or something?" I suggested in an undertone to my teammates, not expecting them to reply. But now the massive being faced us, and for once I kept my trap shut. "Takeru, I presume?" The big man asked, his tone somewhat less earth-shaking than before. I wasn't listening to Takeru's reply, but when he addressed me directly, "Kaoru?" I nodded tentatively. "...And Ryuuchou." After he ascertained our names, he would then introduce himself.

"I'm glad you are all here. My name is Marcus Seius the fourth, but just Marcus will do fine. I am to be your team leader, or captain, if you will." Okay, there was a legitimate shock to the system. It appeared as though he wasn't going to tear us up with his bare hands, so I would once again speak in my usual manner.

"Hallelujah. We found him."[/ul]

The dust began to become thinner and more transparent, and was soon gone altogether, settled onto the earth once more. Ryuuchou still sat in his mud, stunned by the full on appearance of this man, an ANBU of Takigakure, apparent by the mask he wore over his facade. The bear, too, became visible once more, and began to have a conversation with the man, and the ANBU guy actually responded. Ryuuchou knew how dangerous that crazy people could get, and what with the strange make up of this man's body, he knew he could really be a true threat.


He ignored Takeru's question, which didn't surprise the medic in the least. The man was, after all, preoccupied with his strange, albeit serious conversation with the furry beast of a bear. Each time the animal had responded, Ryuuchou cringed, though less and less each time. He wasn't sure why, and it wasn't exactly his top priority to figure out.

Then the man pulled out a list and glanced it over briefly, turning his gaze to them. He spoke their names out quickly, as if he were simply confirming what he already knew. He knew Ryuuchou's name. He knew all of their names. He had a list with their names, what else could be on that list? Ryuuchou couldn't help but nod and push himself to his feet, slipping around a bit in the slick mud as he tried to find a steady balance.

"So you're the team leader?" The teen asked as the revelation was made. "I guess that's one mystery solved. Now for another one. Why weren't we told who you were? We were kind of just told to do something and blindly did so. Was their a point, or were you just getting your rocks off at our expense?"

Aw, fuck!

Just what we needed; an over-sized, deformed hulk that talked to animals. This was obviously some kind of freak, and no matter his strength, I was not ready to give into him so easily. It was, after all, a piece of my nature. My body was beginning to return to normal, although my joints were still slightly off balance due to the previous blast. As pain faded completely from my body, I brushed off the dust and mud that I could, slowly looking to Ryuuchou as he began his questioning.

"That's because we're mindless puppets; more cogs in another shinobi war machine. But that's how it's always been, no need to get worked up over it."

My arms crossed and the anger clearly visible upon my face, the only mystery would be as to why I was actually so angry. My eyes darted about the man before me, and never could I get over the fact that his skin had this slight hint to it. I'd never met another of my kind, besides of course for my parents. To see one now, especially after just receiving the normal prejudice from these people I called "team," well, it was bizarre to say the least. Moving my gaze to the beast that we would call captain, I had to ask,

"So, what's first on the agenda?"

A myriad of responses would follow my statement. First the girl would exclaim forth, "Hallelujah. We found him." What she said was not surprising, yet did I detect perhaps a hint of sarcasm? Too early to tell at this point.

The next to speak was the one back from the group. "So you're the team leader? I guess that's one mystery solved. Now for another one. Why weren't we told who you were? We were kind of just told to do something and blindly did so. Was their a point, or were you just getting your rocks off at our expense?" Quite a bit of accusation from this one, and anger too, it seemed. An eyebrow was raised within my helmet, still shielding my features from them. I considered taking it off, but what was destined to come next precluded such an action. I considered responding, but the third member of our group did it for me.

"That's because we're mindless puppets; more cogs in another shinobi war machine. But that's how it's always been, no need to get worked up over it."

I paused for another moment, to see if there was more to be added. Perhaps I should respond to their comments, but regardless of the measure of truthfulness in what they had each said, they would simply have to learn in time what to believe for themselves.

"For us to make a good team, it will be prudent for us to learn about each other; strengths and weaknesses, specialties, battle strategy and tactics. However..." I paused. "That will come in time. For now I think it would suit us all best to test your skills in a real environment. You can test your own skills against me, as well as your skills as a team. Additionally, you can begin to see where my specialties and skills lie."

"For now I am going to ask Aki and the others not to interfere, I do not want to injure you guys too much." With these words I nodded towards Aki, who groaned in disappointment before turning and lumbering back a bit to the shade of the forest edge.

"We can begin whenever you all are ready. To start, do your best to land a solid hit on me." What I said was not inherently arrogant or even proud, but a simple statement of fact. These shinobi were not pushovers, judging from their files, but I doubted any of them had ben literally bred to fight and kill, as I had.

This thread is considered NDE for all concerned, and any potentially lethal blows will be considered harsh blows instead. I will be de-powering many of my attacks for the purpose of this rp, so always go with how I have described it rather then the description in the technique.}

[/i] Pssh. Yeah, no joke. I already resented the massive guy - Marcus - in front of us more than I had Takeru. I stood at ease as both Ryuuchou and Gills finished talking, all the while keeping my eyes focused on the big man. I didn't trust him, for reasons that were quite plain and obvious, but also because he seemed to have no intention of taking off that mask of his. Sure, his outfit said he was a Takigakure Shinobi, but that could easily be a disguise to fool us. And he talked to bears. Seriously, what the fuck?

For now though, I wouldn't outright show my suspicions, and he would announce something new to us.

"For us to make a good team, it will be prudent for us to learn about each other; strengths and weaknesses, specialties, battle strategy and tactics. However..." He paused, and though I supposed the first part of his speech was reasonable enough, I wondered what else he had to say. "That will come in time. For now I think it would suit us all best to test your skills in a real environment." I couldn't decide if I did or didn't like where this was going. "You can test your own skills against me, as well as your skills as a team. Additionally, you can begin to see where my specialties and skills lie."

Oh hell yes. So we were going to have a sparring match? Finally, something a little more my style. I promptly cracked both my hand's knuckles in turn, the shadow of a grin beginning to show on my face. "For now I am going to ask Aki and the others not to interfere, I do not want to injure you guys too much." Hmm, least I didn't have to fight the bear. Wait, others?

"We can begin whenever you all are ready. To start, do your best to land a solid hit on me."

That was all the inspiration I needed. Perhaps three seconds after he'd finished speaking, I would yell, "Heh! Fine then." At the same time reaching into my weapons pouch, retrieving a duo of shuriken with one hand. I threw them both toward Marcus, traveling in a straight toward his head, which would hopefully cover my next attack.

"Time to show this guy, huh?" I said briefly to my teammates, before I charged forth in my shuriken's wake.[/ul]

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

'Takeru is right. We really are just mindless pawns in the chess game that is shinobi. But I'm not worked up.'

He spoke to himself, in his head, rolling his eyes, though it was slight and quick, so hopefully nobody noticed.

The medic thought quietly to himself, almost as if he were in a day dream as the man who had so roughly landed from the sky only moments ago. He still paid very close attention to the man behind the curtain - or mask, in this situation - as he spoke, but he was getting pulled more and more into his mind as he analyzed their situation.

'He has a point. If we're gonna have to rely on each other and defend each other, we're going to need to know each other well. How much can we rely on each other specifically, what can they protect me from and what can I, should I protect them from. It would look pretty foolish if someone shot a water attack at Kaoru and I moved in to protect her for her to just summon up a wall of earth, after all. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long day, especially since we sort of already tried to get to know each other, if you can even call it that.'

Then the man changed the track that their little train was traveling on. Ryuuchou broke but a single sweat as he caught on to what he was suggesting.

'He wants us to fight? Shit, I'm no fighter. Sure, I have my wolves and junk, but landing a hit on someone like him, especially when I know nothing about him other than his wings? I might as well just lay down and wave a white flag.'

But then he realized that this was like a simulation. This would be what the world of ninja beyond the training fields, beyond the hospital, beyond safety would be like. A strange feeling sparked within him. He was, in a way, determined to try and fail. At least then he would learn something that would help him better prepare for the things that awaited him beyond his world of training. Training was great, but real experience was something he just couldn't pass up.

"Land a hit? Alright." The medic said, glancing over and watching as Kaoru started her attack. He couldn't help but crack a smile and laugh for a second. She was a hot shit and it was almost refreshing to him, but he couldn't linger on that thought. He wanted to start his move and learn a thing or two. His first real battle.

With a single thought he sent forth his wolves of mud, following Kaoru in her charge. The wolves made to fan out and run from the mud, one somewhat behind Kaoru, the others moving diagonally forward to the right and left. As they spread out the medic began to make his way to the right, headed for the edge of the mud so that he would be standing on clean grass, where he'd likely be better able to move. He didn't dare cast more jutsu just yet, he didn't want to reveal everything in one go like a loose dumpster slut.

[Hoshigake, Takeru]

The idea was certainly intriguing. A grin suddenly came to my face, all my sharpened teeth gleaming as I opened my mouth, crying out in joy as to this new challenge. "Fuck yeah!" I'd been feeling a bit restless lately, and this was just the way to release some of that built up energy. My hands would slam together in a flurry of seals, quickly advancing as I crouched lower, trying to cover these movements with my head and chest. My left leg kicked out, taking a stance as my muscles tensed for a moment. The moisture around me suddenly began to condense, forming a floating ball of water before me.

Deepening my stance, preparing for the coming attack, the floating sphere shifted form, elongating and splitting into two. Fangs jut forth from the creation, and soon the shark jaw would aim to firmly clamp down upon the torso of our new leader. It was a weak technique, and judging by the size of our leader it wouldn't do much damage anyway, but any distraction could be enough to overtake this fight. Surely even three Genin could somehow manage against a beast such as the one presented before us. Not to mention, I had a few tricks up my sleeve. As my attack came forward, my hands immediately came together again, causing my whole body to teem with my restless chakra.

Pushing against the earth as I finished my string of seals, the air would again begin to condense; sixteen figures suddenly burst onto the field, all in my own figure. As they came to life, all moving towards our master, we would suddenly change positions, each clone moving in and about one another, hopefully confusing Marcus to the extent where the real me wouldn't be found. As we all circled our target, eight Takeru, one being myself, would fall in on the target, fists extending at the last moment to try and get a solid hit.

As I continued my charge, fist ready to fly, I couldn't help but ponder upon the blue tint I had captured in his skin before. It wasn't possible; I was the only one. The only one, besides my family, that I had ever seen. The thoughts overtook my mind as I came onto my charge. With a clouded head, this could surely change our already small chances of winning. Nonetheless, I continued my strike, hoping that with our combined efforts we could get that one, solid hit.

Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu (Mist Clone Skill)

If the user is "D" Class they are capable of performing four Clones at once. If the user is "C" Class they are capable of performing eight clones at once. If the user is "B" Class they are capable of performing sixteen clones at once. If the user is "A" Class they are capable of performing thirty two clones at once. If the user is "S" Class they are capable of performing sixty four clones at once. Drawback: The snapping jaw can be easily broken or dodged.
Description: By performing the required handseals, the user will focus chakra into a source of water. The water will begin to swirl, and then from that water will rise a "jaw" made out of water, with sharp, pointing teeth. The "teeth" contain enough pressure to break skin should the bite be successful. The "jaw" then flies at the opponent. The jaw doesn't move very fast, and it is easily dodged. Also, one clean hit on them by a weapon will easily dissipate the weapon.
Limit: Must have Suiton no Jutsu. Must be a part of the Hoshigake Clan.

With a few choice words, the genin before me decided just to jump right into it. The girl would begin, showing good initiative if also a bit of impulsiveness. Two shuriken would flow from her hand, directly towards my helmet, as she sprinted at me in their wake. Takeru had already been blitzing through his handseals even as the girl Kaoru had charged, quickly forming some sort of water attack as she approached me. And finally the medic's mud wolves would follow on the heals of the female shinobi.

However each ninja would find their individual plans rudely interrupted as the ANBU acted. A simple shift in stance would be first, directly after the first actions of the genin, slightly after the shuriken were thrown. Given that the distance from them was but 5 or so meters, there was not a moment to loose.

The shift in stance would be several simultaneous actions- Marcus' legs would spread out a bit, leaning forward into a battle stance. At the same time his shield arm (left) would come up to guard but shift to the side a bit, allowing the right arm to come across and grip the sheathed katana stashed within the binding of the shield.

It was in this position that Marcus would seem to pause for a moment, and for that split second in time he existed both there and 10 meters back from that position [shunshin 1/5]. Just as the shuriken passed harmlessly through the first image, it would vanish, showing it to be but an illusion. But by the time the genin could try and compensate, it would surely be too late. For in the very moment that his shunshin (pull) was complete, Marcellus would unsheathe his sword, bringing to bear the power of the Burēdono Kenseijin fighting style.

"Gosei Ryuu.... Ka-ryūsen" The closest ones might hear, said in a deep but low tone, muffled as it were by the mask and helmet, in the moment before they were swept away. In the unsheathing of the sword, the Air Strike form would be initiated, spreading forth in a cone-like form with great speed. Everything would be hit by it, so close was their proximity to one another. The shuriken would be hit first, blown back towards Kaoru (although likely not into her, due to their trajectory). She would also be blown back, joining the 5 wolves of mud and her two companions in but a moment. Even the freshly created water attack would join them in their wild ride.

The strength of the technique would knock all of them back for 15 meters, likely picking them up off their feet in the process. With a quick flourish the katana would be sheathed, and a normal position once more adopted, as Marcus watched to see what they might try next.

{Takeru I did not write about your clone creation and taijutsu attacks because the timing of this would interrupt your handseals, at the very least. As for the water and mud creations, each of you is to use your own judgement as to what might survive and in what state they would be in given the force being exerted and the effects as they are stated.}

Description: Another form concept of forcing energy by a single swing. Instead of cutting, the user can swing their blade into more of a force like blow. This technique is shot out in a wave, but expanded into a wall. This wall momentarily slows an opponent down by giving them the push. When the user first learns this technique as a “D” Class ninja the user is able to send a shock wave of sheer force in the distance of twenty meters capable of giving a knock back of five meters away from the twenty meter region. For every class level the user may be higher than that of “D” Class the technique increases at a distance of five meters giving it a total of forty meters, with a knock back of twenty five meters past the initial shockwave point. This technique is able to counter against thrown and other projectile weapons, as well as running opponents.

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

The medic ran for the edge of the mud field, hoping that Kaoru would be able to distract the ANBU ninja long enough for him to clear the side and think of what to do next. However, even as he ran, he still had no inkling as to what he would even be able to attempt. He didn't have much available to him in his arsenal as far as fighting went, and certainly nothing to go head to head with a ninja of ANBU status.

As the rush of wind came flying towards all of them, apparently, he realized that the ANBU had launched his first attack and sent them flying, as well as the fact that what he had thought not moments ago was correct. 'What the - Was that some Wind Style technique or something?' He wondered to himself as he was sent flying through the air for quite a distance. He eventually came down onto the ground and slid the last of the distance across it, finally stopping about 15 meters from where he had originally been. Rising up from his back and sitting up as straight as he could, he grimaced and immediately went over his body, making sure there was nothing broken or missing.

When he was quite satisfied, he looked around for his creations of mud, finding nothing of them save for several splotches on the ground away from the mud field. "Dammit." He said quietly, pushing himself to stand up onto his feet. He wasn't sure what had become of Kaoru and he didn't spend too much time looking. If he had survived that with nothing to complain about, he felt certain that she would make it out fine, probably better than he had. Takeru was another thing he didn't worry about, for obvious reasons. The guy was huge, after all.

'Maybe it's time I work within one of my specialties.' He thought to himself, cracking his neck and knuckles simultaneously. He began to weave a series of hand seals with great dexterity. Surely he would have enough time to finish them with such a distance separating himself and the one he was to land a hit upon. Upon finishing, his Chakra would flare a bit within his body and surge around, building and molding, becoming ready in a matter of moments. As the Chakra cast out and produced the effect of the technique, Ryuuchou would seemingly disappear from sight. He was invisible. After he was gone from sight, he began to move, heading for the left of where he had just been, moving as quietly as he could. He figured that if he could sneak up on the ANBU, he would be able to give him the hit he had requested. When he had moved about 5 meters, he stopped and thought about where to move and what to do next.

Description: The creature or object touched becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from dark vision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. If the user casts the jutsu on someone else, neither you nor your allies can see the subject, unless those are capable of seeing through GenJutsus. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible. Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. The User shouts outwards pushing his voice out towards all that could hear, spitting out insults to draw the enemies near. As the Enemies hear the sounds and the insults a sudden feel to attack the user comes forth as they all rush towards the user attacking violently.
