The Creation of a New Team [P]

{Not too much for me to write about lol. It's better that your shouting didn't effect me because i don't think you would have appreciated the results XD}

I watched them recover, a good distance from me at this point. I had moved back 10 meters with my shunshin, and the girl had been blown back just as she reached my remaining image. With 15 meters of knockback, she was about 25 meters away, give or take, with the rest of them behind her.

For the moment Takeru would remain on the ground. I was not sure what was going on with him, but that attack should not have been enough to kill him, so I was not terribly concerned. The girl got up and began insulting me, shouting out a challenge. My eyebrow raised slightly beneath the mask. Did she really think that would affect me?....

Meanwhile, her medic friend would gather himself up and use a technique of some sort, judging from the handseals he went through. As I watched, he would then vanish from sight. Although there were certainly several ways for me to figure out where he was, I was not concerned for the moment, at least not until he got a bit closer to me.

And so I would wait, remaining still. The mud and water creations seemed to have been destroyed in the blast, so I did not have to worry about them, and for the time being none of the Genin were actually attacking. It was a simple waiting game then, remaining exactly in place without movement. After all, it was their job to attack me, and my job to prevent them.

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

After disappearing and moving about the open field for a bit, but not far from his original position, Ryuuchou found himself standing still and looking around, taking the new surroundings in. Everything on the field was quiet, what with the mud and water creations gone and nobody really making a move and nothing was going on. Well, except for Kaoru and her shouting. The medic couldn't help but feel that he would get used to it over time, probably sooner than later. As for Takeru, well, Ryuuchou wasn't quite sure what had happened to him, but he didn't seem to have taken too much harm from that strange blast of wind that had come from the ANBU's direction, so he wasn't exactly worried about his teammate.


'This is crazy. We're never gonna be able to do this solo. He's a goddamn ANBU Ninja, do any of us really expect to make any headway alone?' The male thought to himself, fixing his gaze on the statuesque male who appeared not to have moved at all since several moments before. 'Hell, we're a team now, after all. We're gonna have to work together... Somehow. Here goes nothing, or everything, whichever.' With his next course of action decided upon, he began to enact it.

After the quick thoughts were thought and the signals were sent from his brain to his muscles, his legs carried him swiftly over to where he saw Kaoru, and heard her. He came to a slow halt, stopping just behind her and he began to speak softly but clearly. "Hey, looks like we aren't doing too well here. We should probably, I don't know, think of a plan or something?" He said softly, hoping not surprising her much. He was still invisible, after all, and his voice was seemingly coming from nowhere. "Anyways, do you have any ideas? I'm out of stock, honestly. I could distract him with a Genjutsu from here, but hell if I know whether it'll work or not." The medic said after a moment, his gaze affixing itself back onto their team leader, their target.

That question was answered almost immediately as I heard the soft sound of a footfall behind me - and my enemy was still rooted to the spot, unmoving, so it couldn'tve been him - and my eyes widened slightly as a voice whispered in my ear. "Hey, looks like we aren't doing too well here. We should probably, I don't know, think of a plan or something?" I almost turned my head, but Ryuuchou wouldn'tve bothered to speak so low if he were perceptible otherwise... some kind of jutsu he was using, maybe? to make him invisible? ...it was times like this that made me jealous of regular Shinobi.

"Anyways, do you have any ideas? I'm out of stock, honestly. I could distract him with a Genjutsu from here, but hell if I know whether it'll work or not." He suggested. Narrowing my eyes imperceptibly, I tried to formulate a quick plan. If only Takeru would get up! He must have been knocked out by the blast or something. I had never been good with plans, but I recognized that we'd never defeat this hulking monster with disjointed acts.

After a moment, I lowered my head slightly, the movements of my mouth, which I attempted to keep inconspicuously small anyway, would hopefully be hidden by the collar of my coat, at least partially. "We only have to hit him once, right? Try using as many Genjutsu as you can on him, I don't care what kind of shit you throw at him, just get him as bamboozled as possible. I'll distract him by getting up close, and you try and tap him on the shoulder or something." I said this all very quickly, so as not to draw our adversary's attention, who looked something like a giant, watchful eagle with his huge wings. Then a second idea came to me.

"Wait, Ryuuchou!" I said, assuming he may have backed off by this point. Then, after a moment's pause, "We could try and make it look like I was performing the first Genjutsu, since you're not supposed to be around. I'll perform some handseals - I think I can remember a few - and you try and perform a Genjutsu at the same time. How's that sound? You ready?"

I would start performing the handseals after a second's pause, assuming Ryuuchou had no complaints, but would listen to any objections - for all my experience with chakra, this was the stupidest plan I'd ever come up with. And that was, well, saying something.[/ul]

After the suggestion of trying to cast a Genjutsu on the ANBU ninja had been put out into the air around them, Kaoru seemed to be putting serious thought into it. 'Good, at least she's not shooting it down right away. At least she's not gonna be one of those people who do only what they think will work and possibly get everyone on the team killed.' The medic though, a slight smile of relief filling out his face, unseeable to the naked eye.

From his own point of view, there really wasn't anything else that they could do with their current situation. Takeru seemed to be down and out, which struck him as odd for several reasons. Not only was he bigger than both of them, he seemed to be a great deal more experienced, yet he hadn't moved and Kaoru and Ryuuchou were fine and they both were able to stand. On top of that, their new team leader was quite a distance away and would have ample time to react if they charged head on. Even if they were to do that, what would the point be?

The plan that seemed to now be floating in the air seemed like quite a good one, and Ryuuchou was about to go into action and cast the illusion when Kaoru stopped him once more, with an additional suggestion. Needless to say, Ryuuchou heard the girl out and though she couldn't see him, he nodded his approval. "That sounds good. I'm ready when you are." The medic said, softly placing his hands together to be ready to weave his hand seals.

As Kaoru began weaving handseals, Ryuuchou followed suit, mashing his hands together in a series of twelve differing symbols, building enough Chakra to cast a C Rank technique. With his skill level he would easily be capable of casting the Chakra out to bridge the distance between themselves and their ANBU opponent, and if he had to, even further. Should the technique make contact with their opponent's mind, it would begin to take affect, bringing about visions and sensations of his worst fears and causing them to seem real. Of course, Ryuuchou's actions would end the effects of his previous Genjutsu that hid him from sight, and after launching the attack, he would become visible.

Though Ryuuchou wasn't sure what he was afraid of, or if he was afraid of anything at all, some things were just scary in their own right, like phantasms and specters, which would undoubtedly be present in the illusion as well. If he had a way out of the Genjutsu, then the two would need to stop and think of a new plan together, hopefully with Takeru. If not, they would likely be able to charge forward and dish out the single hit that would allow them to declare victory.
