Effect: A technique where the user hides within the ground for a brief moment to surprise attack the opponent from under ground.

Description: The user takes the time to push into the ground by using their Earth Release. The user pushes into the ground quickly so that to be used against the opponent later on. The user at this point cannot necessarily move within the ground at this moment, but the user does know by feel of when an opponent is right above. When an opponent is right under the user reaches up to take the opponent and drag them back down to the ground in one fell swoop without movement or notice. The opponent is unable to move for one post and the user is capable of slamming out of the ground with one movement.

Approaching a clearing, raki noticed a wide open grass less plateau. This spot should be perfect He thought to himself as he crossed a small stream and walked into the clearing. This technique would be essential to his fighting style and there was no room for failure.

He keeled and placed his hands against the rugged terrain and looked down at the ground. He must focus on not just the ground, but every rock and crack in front of him and envision them separating at his will, and continue this until he is as far down as he can muster. Raki took a deep breath and focused intently, he felt his chakra stir and directed it to his hands, a warm tingling spread from his palm and extended to his fingertips. "This is it, i mustn't fail, Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu!" Tensing his muscles, Raki pushed the chakra through the tips of his fingers and into the ground, pushing his hands down into the chakra soaked earth as he did so. He met with resistance as he tried to push. "No, i must try harder!" he mumbled as he pushed harder, the dirt began to collect around his nails, in his minds eye he envisioned the ground separating as he pushed, giving way to the dark depths that lay beneath. In an instant he felt his chakra waver and the connection was broken. His fingers jammed against the ground and he fell backwards in frustration. This was a failure...unacceptable.

Raki rolled to his feet and stumbled slightly, he had used more chakra than he thought. He brushed himself off, this was a predicament it seemed but it was only a minor one. Kneeling once again he resumed focusing his chakra, once again imagining the ground separating under his touch. Raki slammed his hands down against the ground and redirected the flow of his chakra back into his fingertips toward the ground as he pushed hard with his hands, willing the ground to move at his command.

"Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu!"He exclaimed as he dug deep into the ground, his fingers sinking into the ground more easily. With this attempt Raki began to fission the very ground apart. Though he felt the sweat bead on his brow he kept pushing, feeling the limit of his chakra growing near. Just a little more He thought as he dug, he was buried up to his elbows. The deeper he went the easier it seemed for him to dig with his efforts. "Yes! its working, i cant believe it!" overwhelmed with joy at his progress. His chakra was nearly drained, he needed to withdraw his arms before he became stuck.

He got to his feet and pulled his arms free of the earth and sighed deeply. Upon examining his hands he saw the effect of his effort. His hands were dirty, but they were dirty from progress. A nights sleep was needed before he attempted to completely immerse himself.

The sun rose lazily over the clouds this morning, Raki sat in a meditative stance on the plateau. Today would be the day he mastered his new jutsu.

Focusing his now potent flow of chakra from meditation to his hands, he placed them against the ground as he re positioned to a kneeling position. " Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu! He yelled at the ground as he re purposed the flow of his chakra to help him push into the ground. He immediately sank down to his elbows and continued further down. though he was almost overcome with happiness he remained focused, staring intently and he was now down to his nose in the ground, he closed his eyes as he slowly felt the ground encompass his being.

With his breathing steady he maintained focused, the flow of chakra in his fingers strong and steady. He only needed to now quickly remove himself from the ground in a swift motion. He tensed his fingers around the rocks and debris that now surrounded him and held firmly. This was the easy part.

Now! With a strong pull he propelled himself upward through the ground that he dug through quickly. The smell of fresh air invaded his senses, fresh and crisp. This was a victory in his book, he smiled as he began to walk back to his tree.

Special: "Handseals" before performing
Drawback: Technique cannot be used through Sand
Description: The user uses the basic Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique) as they slam down into the ground. Doing so the user is capable of moving about within the ground capable of rising, singing and capable of pushing through the very ground in multiple types of ways. This type of attack may be used so then the user may move away from the very opponent and attack at the moment's notice.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release, Must have knowledge of the Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

The sun hadn't broken the clouds before Raki was up and prepared to train his next technique. He walked past his previous training ground to the wide field behind it, more room would be required for this technique.

Taking up a kneeling position he had grown accustomed to, he placed his hands against the ground and began to force chakra through his fingertip and push into the ground. It was relatively easy up to this point to get in and out of the ground, but never had he thought about moving around UNDERNEATH the surface. This is just another notch on the belt Raki he thought quietly to himself as he finally was fully buried. Now was the hard part.


Changing the shape and flow of his chakra he slowly coated his body in it, the warm feeling he noticed assured him he was at least doing things right. Raki closed his eyes and thought about moving his hands freely in the ground, as though he was never underneath the ground to begin with. It was so minute when it first began, but now he noticed his fingers twitching, the ground conforming to the shape of his fingers allowing easier movement. His heart raced as he move his fingers, then the first joint. The strain of touching and straining the earth that had not yet become touched by the flow of his chakra was making his fingers sore with effort, but this would not stop him.

Raki placed his fingertips firmly against the sturdy ground that refused to yield and poured his chakra into his fingers, the result draining him further but to his relief paid off as he felt his fingers move freely up to the second joint. "Thats enough for today, anymore and i wont have the chakra to get out of here"

With the last of his chakra Raki pushed out of the ground and dusted off his clothing. With a satisfied smile he began to walk back to his tree when he was stopped short. Gazing down at his foot Raki quickly realized the issue, his foot was still buried.......and he was out of chakra. It seemed that mother nature had decided that he would have to be one with the earth to manipulate it. He crouched and stretched his free leg out and sat, laying down on his back.

Hell, at least he was comfortable.

Raki was jolted out of his sleep by a sharp pain in his ankle, sleeping with his foot buried had made the tendons rigid and unyielding. This would only affect him when he was prepared to move his entire body underground.

"Hope this isn't a one foot in the grave kinda deal..." He sighed and began to meditate, allowing his body to become flooded with his chakra and waking his muscles from the strain of sleeping on the ground. Within moment he felt alert and fresh to begin his training. Raki placed his hands against the ground and quickly pushed deep within the earth and gorged his hands with chakra. the easy feeling of moving his fingers assured him things were going smooth. He thinned the chakra from his hands to his arms and flexed his muscles, hoping this would affect the rocks and dirt around them to be more pliable when he was ready to move them. Raki slowly tried pulling his arms into a flexing position and met with great resistance as expected, the rocks hadnt loosened as much as he had hoped. He remembered the day it snowed in his village, his father had shown him how to make snow angel and the snow had held the shape, this was the same situation only with earth. In small portions Raki wiggled his arms, starting from the wrists, the gravel created from the disturbance rubbed his wrists raw but he would tend to that later.

After what seemed like forever he was able to easily move his entire hand on both arms, he stretched his fingers and rolled his wrists and thinned the chakra around them, redirecting it to the flow that was already surrounding his arms. Repeating the flexing movement several times, feeling the ground scratch his arms as he began to loosen the soil around his arms. The movement was tedious and tiring, constant maintenance of his chakra was draining him mentally and physically, the only upside was him not being claustrophobic.

His arms grew sore from limited movement and repeated tensing, he felt the ground moving ever so slightly, but no where near enough to relieve the ache in his arms and his chakra was wavering he was losing focus. He knew he needed to get back in focus and quickly pulled himself out of the ground and shook his head in frustration. "Mother fu-----" he cursed but quickly mumbled as his foot again was stuck in the ground. Mother Nature was sure being moody with him today.

After a few hours of sitting, his foot half buried once again by the stubborn terrain, Raki felt his chakra level return to normal. He concentrated and pulled his foot free of the earth and rolled his ankle. No time could be wasted though, the sun was up high and was the heat was nearly unbearable.

Quickly he pushed deep within the earth and resumed concentrating on the flow of his energy, filling his fingers then slowly pulling it back to fill his arms. He tensed and slowly flexed his arms before attempting to pull his arms towards his body, pulling from his wrists. There was the same resistance, constant and unyielding, but with repetitive motion he felt the ground giving way from the disturbance he was causing. He focused all his chakra into his arms and pulled long and hard, feeling the joints in his arm pop from exertion, the ground felt like soft clay as he pulled, barely giving, but giving way none the less. He pulled harder, his arm muscles pounding from the excessive amount of pressure and strain.

He had created a small rut the shape of his arms and began to move them back and forth, using the resistance to grow accustomed to the feeling. The earth loosened and crumbled slightly as he moved his arms back and forth, giving his almost enough room to touch his sides with his arms. the freedom to move was a huge rush of relief to his muscles, but now he had to remain focused and work of removing the thin layer of earth seperating his body and arms. with little effort be brought his arms down and moved a thin stream of chakra to his sides and hips and began to wiggle slightly, the thin wall of dirt cracking, but not quite giving. Raki dug his finger into the divide and used his hips as leverage to work his fingers into the thinning ground. He felt and heard his back and hip popping from the muscles tensing but not giving way. The pain was dull, but it was constant, Raki began to grind his arms into the dirt surrounding his sides and before lost the soil loosened enough and he felt his elbows touch his sides.

This was enough for him for today, Raki pushed up out of the ground and immediately regretted the movement. The popping he had heard earlier came back to haunt him as pain flooded his lower back. He hobbled off towards his tree and slumped against the trunk. There would be no climbing, the trunk was enough to sleep against.

The sound of chirping birds woke Raki from his slumber, the sun was just rising above the horizon and the dew was still fresh on the ground. This was the perfect time to train! He got up gingerly from the trunk of the tree and twisted his back and hips gently, luckily the pain was gone replaced by a stiffness instead.

He would need to work his lower half through the ground now, this would be easy since legs trump arms in strength. Returning to the field raki removed his sandals pushed into the ground but slowly pulled himself out up to his hips. He then focused his chaka to his feet and attempted to wiggle his toes, learning from trail and error with his arms to push where he felt the least resistance. Dirt collected under his nails as he wiggled his toes against the earth, the dirt coming loose slowly as he pushed hard with his toes then his entire foot. The ground almost willingly allowing him access

"Progress finally" Raki sighed as he pushed hard with his feet, feeling for a spot with the least amount of resistance. With a little effort he had finally worked the dirt loose up to his femur and had pushed his hands into the ground to further loosen the earth by digging his fingers into it dirt with his fingers. The work was rigorous but rewarding as he felt his legs move freely, slowly kicking against the loose soil he had kicked up.

This was major progress but he would still need to move his entire body at once to truly master this technique

Mimicry of the Earth

Effect: Causes the dirt/ rock to move and form the shape of the user’s hands underground.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: Can’t be used to create another techniques hand signs. User must have hands underground, otherwise the rocks will only hold until provoked into breaking, but in the case of using dirt the formation will break as soon as both hands leave the ground.
Description: After performing the correct hand signs the user plunges his hands into the ground, there by causing the earth to move anywhere between 3 and 30 feet in distance from his current position. The earth then mimics what hand movements are done underground through connections in the ground that run directly from the users hands. This can be used to grab the enemy, punch the enemy, and strangle the enemy. Anything that can be done normally with the users arms can be done. Technique can be canceled if the line in the ground either is severed, by the enemy interrupting it or if the user pulls his/her hands out. If done with too little chakra the user may be held into the ground.
Limit: Must have Earth Release

The mountain was tough to climb but it provided the perfect environment for his training. The path was steep and quickly flattened out to a rocky flat. Raki crested the lip on the mountain and brushed off his clothes, while wasting no time to begin training.

Using his chakra to push his hands into the ground he closed his eyes and channeled his chakra into the ground, willing the the earth to take the form of his fists. There was a minute bulge....and then another before the connection was broken. "I've never tried projecting my chakra like this." Raki sighed as he focused harder, pushing his chakra from his finger tips into the ground, imagining the rocks taking the very form of his fist. He felt a slight waver as he attempted to raise the molds of his fist above the ground.

The previous bulges grew slightly, the slight impression of individual fingers visible before crumbling once again. He fell back in frustration, this was much harder than any jutsu he had tried before, maybe the key was the saw as training the Fish Projection Jutsu. With his fist plunged deep in the earth Raki focused all his chakra in his hands and focused on manipulating the ground directly in front of him. When the ground Bulged immediately Raki was astonished, the fingers slowly but surely tore free of the ground and took the form of his hards currently less than three feet from the projected hands. When he pulled his hands free the hands fell to a crumpled heap and disintegrated. "So The closer to me the hands are the stronger the connection..." Raki mumbled as he thought. This meant that he would need to train pushing his chakra further distances to create the hands and holding the connection, hopefully he would never have to go too far...

With his chakra low from the unorthodox training Raki practiced making fists in close vicinity. the first were small, miniature versions of his own fists. He practiced picking up small pebbles and upturned earth from his previous tries and flexing the fingers. When he felt his arms grow weak he knew it was time, with luck he removed his hands before he was completely drained of chakra. Heavens know he wouldnt want to be stuck in this heat...

With a slow climb down the mountain, raki took refuge under a tree and took a nap. Training would proceed later

The sun had set and the moon was on the high rise when Raki work from his slumber. The temperature had dropped drastically but luckily it was always rather cold in the mist village.

Raki looked around him and considered his surrounding. The path was extremely rock and full of boulders, this would be a nice challenge compared to the flat surfaces he was used to. With a quick stretch and meditation Raki was ready and his chakra was vibrant.

Pushing his hands deep in the ground he focused on the ground directly in front of him. The ground was wet with the beginnings of dew and the would help loosen the soil he figured. The hands erupted from the ground almost immediately but were sluggish in movement as he flexed them slowly. the residual dirt fell from the fingers as he made fists and attempted to grab the boulder next to him. The strength amplified by the element of the earth was incredible as he watched the boulder lift slightly but quickly fell. This was an amazing sight to Raki.

"It's time to try a little further off in the distance" he said as he focused hard and attempted to create the hands an additional three feet on top of the first three. He felt a strange twinge as he pushed his chakra further out, the ground heaved upwards slightly before the fingers slowly emerged. He flexed them and made a thumbs up signal. Then he felt his fingers begin to cramp slightly as he manipulated the ground, he moved slower to prolong the inevitable cramp.

He focused intently on picking up the nearby rocks and moving them slightly, the effort was little but his chakra was running thin, he wasn't used to the strain on his chakra. Before removing his hands he pushed the rocks close together and withdrew his hands. His hands were tired and ached from constant work. This would have to continue tomorrow.

The sun shined down brightly as Raki began his next round of training, climbing up the lip of the mountain and immediately plunging his hands into the earth. His determination unwavering he let his chakra flow freely from his fingers into the ground and pulled the giant earthen fists from the ground slowly, the strain lessening as he pulled hard and slow. The fists erupted in a shower of dirt clots and pebbles, but this would not be enough for him. He allowed the fist to fall to the earth, returning to their natural state and pulled forth another set, this time 6 feet away instead of three. Raki could feel the connection to his chakra being strained and he bared down, forcing more chakra into his hands and thus through his fingers.

The bond was strong as he pulled forth this next set of fist. He raised them fully and allowed them to fall, preparing to raise another set furthur away. He attempted to pull forth a third set 9 feet away, the strange sensation that the bonds would snap asunder was loomed into thought and he continued to push his vision growing slightly blurry from the over-exertion. Raki closed his eyes and viewed the field in his mind, imagining the hands pulling forth from the earth and reared his hands back as he heard the roaring sounds of the earth as he heard the hands burst forth with great vigor.

Dizziness swept over him and he fell forward, the deafening sounds of the earthen replica's falling to the grond shook him. With a slight smile he closed his eyes " I'm so close...i can feel it." Exhaustion came like a thief in the night and swept him away into a fitful doze.

Awakened by the discomfort of his wrists lodged in the ground Raki continued without missing a beat. Focusing momentarily to strengthen his chakra flow, he opened his hands and allowed his chakra to flow wide and free from his hands and continued to push till he felt the distance of 15 feet was reached.

With his fist clenched he steadied the flow and slowly pulled forth the fist. The fingers pulled free one at a time before exact replica's now stood tall before him. He moved them freely back and forth, picking up boulders and clumps of earth he had been loosened by their wake.

Letting them fall to the ground Raki breathed steadily and concentrated all his chakra in his hands. The feeling was immense, holding the full weight of his energy focused in his palms was a humbling and empowering feeling. He pushed the energy through the earth the flow continued till he reached the limit of his ability, a stifling 30 feet. Holding the stream steady he pulled back hard, watching as the ground stirred but nothing came forth. He remembered the first day, the defeat he felt when the hands barely came forth, stubborn and slow in their coming. He concentrated harder, even envisioning the hands pulling free of their earthly restraints. There was a rumble, so brief he thought it was his imagination.

Off in the distance he saw two small bulges, anticipation fluttered in his chest as he pulled harder, straining and panting from the shear force of will it took to maintain the connection. The fingers formed slowly, though they remained connected to the earth. Defeat is NOT an option he growled to himself as he pulled with all his might, the hands burst free of the earth and showered him and the field with dirt and they reached skyward. With a look of triumph Raki pulled his hands free of the earth and jumped excitedly as the thunderous crash of the hands crumbling to the ground shook the surrounding area.

Raki ate good that night, famished by the amount of strain his training had pushed him to. But it was worth every second. " I did it father! " he beamed up to the heavens as night fell swiftly. This was only a step in an endless journey to fulfillment.
