[60/80]
Kaito was nearing that point of giving up. He knew that he couldn't though. All of his hard work would go down the drain. Plus, he was close; he could feel it. This wasn't going to defeat him as he had told himself oh so many times before. He had done so much already, all he had to do now was get some water to move. It was a large amount, but he knew that it was just part of the process. Small steps.
So on he went, letting the chakra flow from his body and into the water. He constructed another beast out of water in only a few seconds, and began the push. He pumped a lot of chakra into pushing the water, but it should be worth it. As he watched though, the dragon was moving at a leisurely pace. Kaito let the technique go. He was angry as could be. He kicked, he screamed. This was getting him nowhere though. In fact, it was only serving to tire him out more.
He was going to have to concentrate harder than ever. He performed the handseals and created another dragon. He focused on moving the water towards a tree he had aimed at. Once again, it moved slower than he expected. It was faster than it had previously started though. He was improving, but it wasn't nearly enough. Kaito still couldn't believe he wasn't putting enough force into this. More and more, he would push the water dragon with greater force in an attempt to make it to a damaging enough speed.
But he couldn't muster the energy. As it reached the edge of the lake, Kaito let it dissipate. It still wasn't moving fast enough to be damaging. Especially considering how advanced this technique was. The hardest technique in the book? Not exactly, but it was still at a level beyond Kaito. He wouldn't let that stop him. If one only practiced at their current level, they'd never get better. So, Kaito began again.
This time was more promising. The dragon began to move towards the tree Kaito was aiming at. He had it this time. As the chakra coursed from his body and into the dragon Kaito began to feel the effects. He couldn't spend another day doing this. Then, success! The dragon crashed into the tree and caused a few limbs to break off. It wasn't as strong as he had been hoping, but Kaito had finally come very close to completing this jutsu. He just knew that he'd have to continue to work on it.
He created another dragon, but something swooped down. A bird. It had flown into the water construct. This caused Kaito to lose concentration as he could feel it disrupting his chakra flow. Almost immediately, the water dragon collapsed back into the lake. Kaito cursed. He knew that he couldn't let something like that affect him.
This was almost over. Kaito would do this. Only a little more to go.
