The Attack of the Automations - Back Gate

07:13am – The Beginning!

The sun was on the verge of raising and was playing at the tip of the horizon. Peeking on the east of Takigakure no sato. The shadows looming over the village's buildings danced along the streets as the village began to awaken for another day. While the street lights were on, each casting a dim glow, bright enough to cover the street to the nearest building. But what was occurring at this particular moment would surprise anyone who would venture outdoors at this hour. Two construction workers would venture out into the streets to head toward a small cafe to have breakfast before their shifts start. However, this duo would be interrupted by a loud bang which had come from the Tower of the village.

Running in that particular direction, both men would run into what appeared to be a somewhat large shiny creation, taking form of a humanoid, marching down the center of the street. One of it's arms were light and appeared to be on fire. While the other was in possession of a long sword. Startled by the sight, both men screamed and turned for the opposite direction, but were cut off by more of these metallic things. Another large fireball would shoot from one of the organism's arms and explode two feet away from the two males, engulfing them both in flames and damaging part of the building that stood two meters nearby.

At least five meters to the blaze's left, further back more shadows protruded through the clearing before an small group of the same metallic organisms appeared. Each walking in an perfect alignment and in perfect unison. This arrow – like formation was moving slowly, as if controlled. A total of 25 of these metallic organisms were present in the march and had seemed to be approaching from the direction of the rear gate to the village.

How they had gained access to the village will remain a mystery for now. But what were these creatures and what did they want? A large siren would soon ring out throughout the village, alarming all within it's walls. Screaming soon followed as citizens awaken in a panic state. Who will suppress this panic and move all the citizens out of harm's way? Are their enough people in the village capable of medical attention? And with the current Takikage out of the village, who will be able to step forward in her place to confront the problem?

"Quick Ryuuchou, this girl is losing blood fast!" called a female voice. The sound was followed by a flash of bright, brilliant orange located just inside of the edge of the medic's vision. The fierce and battle ready woman he had come to know as one of his best friends -- Kaoru -- dashed across a field covered with flaming debris and gaping cracks running throughout. As Ryuuchou landed beside the girl she had alerted him to, he realized that a horde of enemy ninja were incoming fast. He was defenseless, Kaoru had her own battle to worry about, but he was determined to die healing others before he would run to save himself.

After finishing his work on the little girl who had been stabbed through the thigh with some type of blade, he turned around and wove a set of handseals almost at the speed of light, just as the enemies were almost upon him. When finished, his hands slammed into the ground, changing the ground before him into a great and horrible swamp that began to slowly pull down those who sought to harm the medic and his village. The cries of those that he had and was still effectively killing rang loudly in his hears, picking at the seams that held his heart together. Self defense or not, he still wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea of killing.

He moved away from the area after finding safety for the little girl, searching for others who needed help. As the Medical Director of Takigakure, he felt that it was his responsibility to continue on until he knew that everyone was safe, whether it was his own staff of medical ninja, other ninja of Takigakure, or the civilians who called Takigakure their home. As long as he could still move, he would seek out those who were in pain.

His search seemed to go on for an eternity, and the idea that the fighting had stopped began to slowly creep into his brain. His arms and legs were sore and exhausted, his mind was tired and dull to everything, and his Chakra was getting close to being nothing but fumes. Peaking around one more corner, the last place he planned to check, he felt a neck grip his throat, followed by a painful sensation on his skin that he recognized immediately as the use of the Killing Hands Technique.

The hand pulled him from behind the wall to face whoever it belonged to, and Ryuuchou was surprised to see that he was looking at himself, albeit somewhat reversed, where a reversed color scheme of his clothing. The copy gripped his throat even harder, choking him while the cells began to die. He pulled him closer to the point that the real Ryuuchou could smell his rancid breath.

"You're never going to be good enough, Ryuuchou. You're always going to be that little kid that couldn't compare to anyone at the academy. They were right, you'll never amount to anything. You think having a title means you've accomplished something? Think again, you sad sack. You'll mess up sooner or later, and all of that is gonna be taken away from you in the blink of an eye. Why don't you just give up and become a farmer or something. Save everyone else the trouble of having to deal with you."

Before he even realized it, the bad Ryuuchou dropped the real Ryuuchou on the ground before him and stabbed him straight in the heart, ending him right then and there.

With a start, the medical ninja woke up, sweat dripping all over him and drenching the sheets of his bed. Sun streamed in through a crack in the draperies that covered his window and allowed light and warmth into the otherwise dark and dreary room. Ryuuchou's breathing was ragged and he could feel that his pulse was a little off, but other than that he felt fine. There was no pain in his neck or chest, and as he touched them tentatively, there were no wounds or blood.

"It was just a nightmare," he said to himself as he tried to calm himself down. "It was just a nightmare."

He cleaned up in the bathroom and changed the sheets on his bed, not wanting to fall asleep in a mess of sweat later on, all the while trying to forget the things that had occurred in his subconscious. He wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep after having no rest the previous night, but he was far too afraid of having another nightmare, and he knew that he couldn't possibly give in like that, especially not to a dream version of himself. He had things to do.

As the village's siren began to blare and shriek through the morning air, however, he knew that the events of his day had already been decided for him. He dressed and gathered his gear -- which consisted of two butt bags filled with kunai knives, shuriken, blood clot pills and paper bombs, as well as a scalpel and combat blade -- with haste and ran out into the village, hoping to find out what the cause for alarm was. Though he hadn't a clue, he knew that it couldn't anything good, and he knew that more than likely, he would see combat in some way, shape or form.

Description: The pill is about 1/2 in diameter about roughly the size of a regular Marble, the color of the pill is a bit darken from all the different herbs that were mixed into it. The pill is able to activate somewhat of a chemical reaction in the body that will trigger the Thrombus or also commonly know as (Blood Clot) is the final product of the blood coagulation step in hemostasis a very important part (the cessation of blood loss from a damaged vessel). A thrombus in a large blood vessel will decrease blood flow through the vessel that has been damage. So that the blood will then thicken and form a clot of blood cells and fibrin strands to stop the bleeding when blood vessel is severed.

Effect: Exploding tags are scraps of paper inscribed with a special writing, centering on the kanji for "explode" (爆, baku). Infused with chakra, they will explode after a set amount of time, remotely, or after being ignited by flame. The tags can be attached to a surface or wrapped around a weapon to be thrown at an enemy.

Description: Paper that is 2 inches by 6 inches in size and 0.039" (1 mil) thick. These papers are exploding tags that are able to harm and kill opponents or just simply explode within a certain radius. They can be placed on targets, wrap around a weapon, or even thrown at opponents. Tags have a killing diameter of 1 meter, and a wounding diameter of 2 meters. Tags can be activated to explode within 6 seconds, or by a simple technique.

[Spirit Of The Falls]

Gin walked calmly, his pace even and confident as he was heading towards his favorite cafe. Dawn was usually a beautiful time, as the sun was not visible yet, but the colors of it's light on the horizon painted a plethora of colors across the morning sky. It was normally calm on these kind of days. Days where there were no missions, no battles, and no life-saving decisions to be made. Days that Gin hated. He enjoyed knowing what his enemy was doing, how strong it was, and most importantly, where it was. As for peaceful days, they were just the days that were few and far between the wars and battles that the shinobi world was built on.

Screams shook Gin from his thoughts, followed by explosions that made his blood pulse in his veins. Danger! His Kikaichu were in tuned with the area around Gin, but right now they were wasting his time by telling him the obvious. Caution... They warned him mentally, using the strong connection that Gin and the Kikaichu shared. Gin ran towards the sounds of fire, the heat popping and cracking whatever it touched very loudly. Gin walked at the same pace as before, knowing that rushing into a conflict before being properly prepared was just as good as signing your own death certificate.

The lizard man stretched his lean, muscular frame before coming up to the street where his favorite cafe was located. Gin peeked around the corner catching site of two burning bodies in the street. Quickly, Gin pulled his first set of goggles over his eyes, and then turned on the condition viewing. He looked over the burning bodies, confirming that which he already knew. Those guys were dead. Gin shifted his view as he heard the sounding of marching footsteps. The cavalry has arrived. Gin thought to himself. Don't be so sure... The Kikaichu hummed quickly.

Finally the owners of the marching footsteps came into view, surprising Gin with their appearance. They were not the Waterfall ninja he expected, and instead, they were metallic forms. Must be robotic. Gin thought, drawing his conclusion from the fact that if it were armor of some sort, there would be no place for a person to fit underneath it because of their sleek shape. Gin quickly shifted the view of is goggles to X-ray, eagerly searching for some weak point should the need rise for Gin to destroy these beings. He wasn't 100% sure they were the enemy, but seeing their tight formation, he couldn't help but think they were invading his home.

Capable of seeing through light fog, rain, and smoke.

This vision may co exist with the X-Ray Vision allowing the user to take note of a person's condition through a wall.

So uh, what am I seeing with my goggles?

The sun was now fighting it's way through the darkness, destroying what shadows were left in the street as it peered over the buildings and in between alley ways. The metallic intruders were now in plain sight, the sun betraying their hiding places by shining upon their silver armor. The rhythmical sound coming from the marching was broken into two different directions as each automaton moved down separate streets. In this particular area there were two main interceptions: one leading toward the Takikage Tower; or the heart of the village, and the other leading down toward the residents of Takigakure.

Two now approached the area where the two lifeless citizens were lying and caught the sight of the approaching Ninja whom had just dressed himself with goggles. Approaching from a distance of roughly 3.5m and switching between types, the Taki Shinobi would find that the organism approaching him was surely made of nothing but metal. One of the Automatons raised it's arm wielding what appeared to be a flame thrower and launched a large fireball toward the young male in an attempt to end his life like the other two whom were already rotting on the street. This particular flame was large enough to cover a cafe and part of the building beside it which stood roughly two meters tall.

The other would continue to walk as if nothing else was in the street. But once it's nylon blue eyes spotted another human in the area (Ryuuchou) entering the street 2m away, the automation's chest began to glow powerfully before it's left hand began to glow and form what appeared to be a large lightning bolt. This bolt was then hurled toward the male before the right arm with the flame thrower raised to send forward another large ball of fire. This particular ball would explode upon contact with the building near the second Ninja, shooting pieces of glass and sections of the building into the area where the two Ninja were located.

However, If anyone was within distance was paying attention to the automation's chest, one will find that the source of the chakra flow was growing strongly within that area and could possibly be the creature's weak spot. But with citizens running aimlessly around the village and using the buildings to seek cover in and fire balls setting parts of the village ablaze, what will become of Takigakure?

Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Death and destruction seemed to be everywhere that the medic looked. He had stopped several times to see if there was anything he could do for the various people that he found strewn across the ground, hoping that they had yet to become nothing but husks. Each time he checked, he was quick to realize that there was nothing that he could do for them.

He entered into what seemed to be a more open location, and though he didn't notice it immediately, he came to be aware of the presence of something just out of the corner of his eye. By it's physical appearance, he knew that it wasn't human, but when it began to glow both within its chest and its hand, he wasn't exactly sure what to think. All he knew was that he was in trouble, and his earlier thoughts and feelings of inevitable combat were coming true. He did the only thing that he could think to do -- not be around to find out what the glowing would amount to, and more specifically, what it might do to him.

Though it would surely do whatever it was planning to do quickly -- and the medic assumed that that was to attack -- Ryuuchou's technique would be fast as well, and hopefully efficient. Four handseals were formed and his hands slammed into the ground, pushing his entire body underground after he took in a deep breath, hopefully in time to get out of dodge. Though he would be unable to move around underneath the earth, he would hopefully be safe, and hidden, too. It also would hopefully place him in prime position for a counter attack should the being investigate. His breath would only last so long, though.

Just so that you don't think I'm trying to act like the Fireball didn't happen or something, I want to clarify that I tried writing this in a way that would make it sort of apparent that Ryuuchou was unaware of any second attack coming, since I assume it would come right after the Lightning Bolt when he would be underground (If I'm wrong please let me know). I know the Fireball Jutsu happened, I just wrote it as if Ryuuchou doesn't since he probably wouldn't, if that makes any sense.

The user at this point cannot necessarily move within the ground at this moment, but the user does know by feel of when an opponent is right above. When an opponent is right under the user reaches up to take the opponent and drag them back down to the ground in one fell swoop without movement or notice. The opponent is unable to move for one post and the user is capable of slamming out of the ground with one movement.

[Spirit Of The Falls]

Gin was not surprised in the least bit when the Machine raised it's arm in his direction. Not a friend...His Kikaichu hummed in Gin's head. Flames sprouted out of the machine's arm, creating a large fireball that would swallow him whole. Using all of the speed in his lean, muscular frame, Gin ducked back behind the corner he was peeking from and managed several backflips to put himself out of range of the oncoming flaming grill. If he managed to evade the attack, the front of the building would be toasted, and he would be feel the heat of the flames on his face but not be burnt by its power.

He would then retreat some fifteen meters, keeping the formation of machines in the vision of his goggles. In doing so he would notice chakra building up in their chests, even through all their armor but only because of the x-ray vision his goggles were privileged to have. it was a possible weakness, but one he was not sure how to exploit. The armor of the enemy was an unknown, and any attack he could launch could be so very harmless.

Patience... His Kikaichu reminded him. Gin's thought of a solution almost at the same time, sparked by the destruction he could see around him. Debris was littered almost everywhere from the two buildings that the Machines had flamed. Okay, Dick. Gin thought. He scooped up a handful of jagged rocks out of the destruction littered on the floor and waited, knowing that the moment where this battle would be taken was at hand.

[Natsy]

The first ninja to have arrived on scene had been spotted by one automation while Automaton B continued with it's assault on the ninja hidden behind a building. The brown haired Shinobi had protruded into the ground seconds before the fireball destroyed one third of the square. The scorching heat would make the ground intensely hot and thus, difficult to remain still, so within minutes the medic would be surfacing soon. The automation had decided to approach the spot where Ryuuchou had sunk into and stop 1.3m away to quickly begin stabbing the earth with it's sword repeatedly.

Meanwhile, automaton B's fireball which had struck the side of the building would not hit the newcomer head on. The building had managed to provide enough of a barricade to the point when only small fragments would strike the Shinobi before he moved himself back from the scene. A quick run around the corner, all the while performing strict handseals, and a quick raise of a hand, the automaton would quickly exhale a large dragon of fire in an attempt at sending it fourth toward the fleeing Ninja.

The Dragon soared across the street, slamming into the ground two meters away from Gin's current position, exploding on contact. Large pieces of debris would scatter around, shattering windows and torching part of the buildings surrounding the intersection where the dragon had connected. The blast, as glorious as it was, would stretch out at least ten meters, destroying anyone or thing that is trapped in it.

Drawback: This type of technique is better used if the opponent is bonded down and unable to be moved.
Description: A Large creation is created as the user performs the necessary handseals for the technique. As the user does so they raise their hand up over their mouth. By taking in a deep, breathe the user fills their lungs with chakra to in, which ignites the moment they blow out air. As the user blows out the creation of fire is made taking the form of a giant dragon like creature. The Dragon is quickly hurled towards the opponent as the dragon swivels and swerves moving like that of a Chinese Dragon. When first learned the Dragon does not explode forth but the very flames oozes out spreading out in all directions that would wrap around the opponent in a blaze of glory. When the user learns the "B" Rank version the user is capable of pushing so much power into the technique to where when it touches the target it is needed it is ignited in a mass blaze of glory, creating a grand explosion.

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Not taking long to realize that a sword was being plunged into the ground in his general area, and feeling that he could use a fresh breath of air, Ryuuchou knew that it was time for him to resurface. Without skipping a beat, he waited for an opening where the sword was pulled from the ground and pushed himself up from underneath the ground, hoping not to be hit by a sword. As he breached the surface, he opened his hand and held his palm up, aiming to strike the enemy in the torso from below to push them away. He felt that as he came up he would have enough momentum to push the enemy significantly, and maybe even stun them.

Whether it was successful or not though, he continued in his efforts to defeat the strange creature. He channeled Chakra into his hands as he quickly ran towards what he was beginning to think was some kind of machine, the energy that formed in his hand now changing into a type of electrical energy. As soon as he was close enough, Ryuuchou thrust both of his hands forward, aiming them toward the robot's chest in an attempt to nullify it by shocking it. In theory, he thought it could work, though he knew nothing of it's inner workings...

With his newfound awareness of his body’s limits Baek entered into the village. The distinct change in atmosphere made him more anxious than he might have expected. Eyes darting to catch every slight movement he wondered where the enemy shinobi were lurking at such a deadly hour. Immediately his face was overcast. He had been requested and he had answered the call. To think of himself as an intruder was simply wasting time—time better spent assessing the situation in the village.

Before he could gather his thoughts any more clearly than that, an explosion erupted nearby shaking the very ground beneath his feet. Reflexively his center of gravity dropped while his instincts guided his hands to work. His left already clutching the protruding hilt of the katana at his waist while the right reached inside the folds of his nondescript, yet well-made cloak for one of the many combat items he had at his disposal; he had believed himself ready for anything. A billowing tower of fire scorched the early morning sky, once, twice and with each eruption, the ground quaked with a sickening violence that set Baek even more on edge. I…I should probably head for the nearest one then, he decided reluctantly. Normally he might have berated himself for being less-than-stoic in throwing himself headlong into battle, but these were different circumstances.

In every danger he had faced there had been a part of him that never stopped believing in his ability to overcome. He had never quite been able to label this sleeping mind; it simply existed under the buzz of his waking thoughts. Normally.

Stepping with a burglar’s lightfootedness he headed towards a still smoldering building, already making out something glistening through the crackling flames on the other side. His body was immediately moist with a cold sweat as the probability of death imprinted itself upon him. Catching his reflection in a nearby puddle he was startled into motionlessness by how strong he appeared on the outside. His muscles lean and hard, his face expressionless with eyes that displayed none of the paranoia tormenting him inside; he almost looked like a true warrior. Clenching his jaws Baek tore his gaze from the water’s surface and leapt into the flaming remains of the building in front of him. Instantly he was born in a world fire. The flames were weak and largely subdued, but the fire eating away at the economical kitchen burned with the hunger of an inferno waiting to take root. Moving ahead with haste Baek paid no mind to the acrid smoke attempting to choke the life out of him.

He knew that when he emerged on the other side he would be faced with the enemy. There was a chance that he would face many at once, there was a chance he would face only one insurmountable foe. There was the chance that he would live and the chance that he would die. As heat licked the sides of his clothing urging him onward with quick, sharp tongues of fire he made secret amends with his honor in the event that he failed to fulfill the many goals he had set out to achieve. Sucking in one last breath he emerged from the curtain of flames into the next street and found….

[OOC: I’m very sorry I was so late in entering. I just wanted to make sure I read up on everything before jumping in headfirst. I also made the ending vague so that it could be either Ryuu or Spirit that I encounter as I wasn’t sure as to who was closer.]

As the automaton stabbed the earth's surface repeatedly, the boy suddenly ruptured through the surface, palm sticking out as he rose. The strike had proved successful, and had pushed the automaton back at least 1.5m before running toward it with an electrified hand. The automaton studied the Ninja's movements carefully, while raising it's sword upward in a slashing motion upon Ryuuchou's encounter, attempting to intercept the Ninja's attempted strike with it's blade. However, if Ryuuchou were to avoid being cut, the automaton would ram the hilt of the blade down onto his skull repeatedly before thrusting it's free hand forward to knock the Ninja away.

The Fire Dragon launched by Automaton B had struck the ground 2m away from Gin's current position, exploding on contact and destroying the building nearest the Takigakure Shinobi. The explosion alone would slam into Gin's body, producing third degree burns around Gin's legs, arms and stomach, engulfing the young man in flames. Bits and pieces of the building would also scatter around the area, throwing glass and small fire balls. Some also flew into Gin's direction with the speed of a thrown Kunai. Unless Gin sought medical attention immediately, the flames engulfing his body will end his life in less than five minutes.

Roughly 3m away south of the explosion, deep within a burning building another Ninja appeared, seeking a route to locate the enemy. The sprinklers within the building had been damaged due to the explosion made my the automaton's fireball. However, while walking through the debris, the newcomer (Baek, obviously lol) would overhear a slight cry coming from an upturned table which had been positioned by a nearby wall corner to the left, 2.4m away from the way he had come in. It had been turned in a manner to protect something behind it from being caught within the explosion. Smoke clouded the room, growing heavier by the minute, and the sobbing of what sounded like a group of children would protrude from that upturned table.

If Baek were to investigate, four children ranging from around four to seven years all sat huddled behind the table accompanied by a woman clutching one of the four children. The woman looked around twenty five and was wearing a green business outfit, her hair was tied up into a tight bun but had been rustled up by the blast. The flames have yet to reach the table, but if left any longer, the table will soon be engulfed. A single automation had also heard the sound of crying and had moved in to investigate. It's current position was to Baek's front, however slightly to the right. A large piece of wall was blocking it's view from the Ninja 4.8m away and is moving cautiously.

If the group was spotted by the Shinobi, the boy would also be spotted by the automaton due to stepping out from behind the wall. This automaton was moving in behind automaton B roughly 5m from where automaton B had released the Dragon. This automaton has not spotted Baek yet, and has not attacked.

The 4 hits equal an amount of 2 movements.

[Baek]

Stepping cautiously over bits of burning wood Baek shielded his nose from the stinging smoke and began to worry that the air supply in the building would run out shortly leaving him to burn with the rest of the building. His thoughts were interrupted by a muffled sound. Stopping instantly his eyes narrowed in the direction of a table and though no immediate emotion registered on his face his left hand had already crept to the top of his daito katana’s hilt, resting lazily like a mountain lion on a ridge.

For a time nothing happened and then Baek heard the sound again, this time stronger. His mind rifled through the assortment of weapons at his disposal. Within the folds of his cloak 150 hira-shuriken, 4 smoke grenades, 2 frags, and a single stun grenade armed him with enough explosives and projectiles to make a deft escape before coming into immediate danger. The weight of the weaponry comforted him, but still he remained motionless until a table approximately 2 meters away shifted and from beneath its shade emerged the soot-streaked face of a woman. Flames ate noisily at the building’s frames and at the sound of a sharp crack Baek’s attention turned to where fire slithered up the far side wall before spreading multi-directionally when it reached the ceiling; the roof was going to come down.

The wall in front of Baek looked to made of charred rubble and mortar gobs hastily shoved in-between barely noticeable gaps. If the condition of the building was any indication of Takigakure’s current state of affairs Baek feared that his crusade might have been an ill-informed decision. Slowly he waved so that the woman’s attention would be drawn by the movement. At first her face froze with fear at the sight of him, but gradually the steadily growing embers stretched lines of worry across her face as she continued to share looks with Baek and something that was still hidden behind the table. Irritation flashed across Baek’s consciousness, but he hid it behind a perfectly blank expression as the fool woman took her sweet time deciding what to do.

Then things happened so fast that Baek was forced to make a decision for her.

Something exploded about a meter in front of the table. Small sputtering sparks flew through the before landing with an audible hissing and then tongues of fire burst into realization, immediately gnawing away at the wood. Children came screeched fearfully as they fled the now smoldering table and pressed themselves in a small cluster around the woman. Biting his tongue Baek made as if to move towards them, but he stopped after one step. Something gleaming with the light of the miniature inferno flashed in his peripheral vision. Cloak billowing in the rising heat-breeze Baek turned fully to the sight of what appeared to be a metallic human being. Its features seemed real enough, but there were chilling details that immediately labeled the monstrosity to be something else. Ahead of him the children and the woman whimpered. Now he could feel the heat of their presence right beside him. In the time it had taken him to examine the strange metal monster they had scurried from their abandoned hiding spot to take refuge in his wake.

With grim irony he realized how futile their effort might have been as the wall which he had been hiding him from view of the automaton began to crumble under the continued stress of the building’s roof, “Move! The building’s coming down!” he growled hoarsely. A hard shove sent the small group heading towards the exit of the burning building some 5 meters away---and directly into the waiting arms of the automaton which was likely gearing up for a deadly attack.

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Ryuuchou had made a mad dash towards his opponent, but it seemed that he was not as fast and his combatant was not as slow as he had originally hoped. As the blade swung upwards at Ryuuchou, he made a split second decision -- since that was all that the proximity allowed for -- and attempted to slide underneath the elevating blade and move between the automaton's legs. He figured that once the blade came far enough away from the ground, there would be enough room for him to move into a slide without getting hurt by his adversary's attack.

If his tactic was successful then he would get onto his feet as quickly as he possibly could, turn around and plant his hand against the robot's back to try and electrocute it by sending an electrical current into it's frame. If he was unsuccessful then he would attempt to move away from the enemy somehow and regroup, and give himself medical aid if required.

The young Takigakure Shinobi whom had been caught in the explosion of the Fire Dragon would be too badly burned to move away from the scene. And as the flames ate away at his flesh, the young male would die on the street amongst the rubble caused by the explosion. However, 3m away from the explosion, the encounter between Baek and the waterfallians caused the nearby automation to move toward the scene with haste. Although it was not running into the building, it was nearing it. Baek would survey the scene while the woman glanced up at him with wide, frightened eyes.

“Please.. Don't hurt us!” She cried out, huddling the children surrounding her into her slim body. Baek made no attempt to help the woman out of her hiding spot, but instead, the building was breaking and a large portion of the wall nearest the group had collapsed, followed by part of the ceiling. The group would now have mere seconds to escape from the building before being crushed by it. However, at the sound of Baek's order, the woman picked up the children and ran toward the direction of the Automation as it reached 3.6m away from the exit.

Stopping just as they made it out of the building, the children and woman began to scream and lower themselves toward the ground, the woman's small frame acting as a shield against the children. The Automation raised it's hands to perform a short series of handseals before raising it's hand while it changed into a device used to shoot fire. Three small fire balls, roughly one foot in diameter would shoot toward the woman and children in an attempt at burning them along with the building.

Meanwhile as Ryuuchou attempted to run down the Automaton, as the blade raised upward, the Medic would drop down and slide through the automaton's legs and get up from the other side. As the Automaton turned around to prepare another attack, Ryuuchou's highly charged hands would ram into it's chest, shocking it. Sparks and electricity would engulf the machine and as it violently shook, the chakra stored within it's chest would seep out and evaporate into the air, thus killing the being.

No reinforcements had arrived yet, so Ryuuchou would be able to either remove it's weaponry for himself, or he would be able to survey the scene for more if need be. 7m away from the scene, located at the end of the street, an automaton would be firing a small amount of fire balls toward what appeared to be a woman and four children. So what would the medic do now?

"So they store Chakra in their chests," the medic remarked, having felt the energy release and recognizing the powerful feeling. He felt a little bit better about knowing how they used their jutsu. Maybe he'd have a better chance at helping to stop them now. He knew that some of his medical techniques would be very useful in the disruption and destruction of their Chakra cores.

The automaton had been carrying a great deal of equipment on it, and Ryuuchou was keen to inspect it and collect it for himself. As he was getting ready to get closer to the ground to pick up the weaponry, he heard something from down the street and turned to look quickly. He saw a woman and a group of children standing just outside of a building, and an automaton there to greet them and block their escape. Not thinking he would be able to reach them in time, he reached into his buttbags and pulled out a single kunai and a single paper bomb.

The ninja made haste in his attaching the paper tag to the metal knife, and when they were finally secure, he threw the explosive towards the robot's body, aiming to intercept the fire balls that it was firing at the group of civilians. However, even if it didn't intercept the fire balls, it should detonate around the figure, hopefully killing it or wounding it, at the very least knocking it back.

So firstly, does this automaton I killed have all of the items listed above? I'm gonna hopefully loot it eventually lol

Secondly, the paper bomb shouldn't hurt the people that are huddled there, since they should be more than 2 meters away from the automaton. It said that it was 3.6 meters away from the door, and they stopped just outside the building, and the paper bomb has a kill diameter of 1 meter and a wound of 2 meters, and I don't think they'd be within 2 meters. Could be wrong, I'm not so great with math lol

Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife. There could be multiple kinds of kunais such as handless ones, or even double sided kunais as long as they are within the same length.

Effect: Exploding tags are scraps of paper inscribed with a special writing, centering on the kanji for "explode" (爆, baku). Infused with chakra, they will explode after a set amount of time, remotely, or after being ignited by flame. The tags can be attached to a surface or wrapped around a weapon to be thrown at an enemy.

Drawback: May harm the user if not put right.
Description: Paper that is 2 inches by 6 inches in size and 0.039" (1 mil) thick. These papers are exploding tags that are able to harm and kill opponents or just simply explode within a certain radius. They can be placed on targets, wrap around a weapon, or even thrown at opponents. Tags have a killing diameter of 1 meter, and a wounding diameter of 2 meters. Tags can be activated to explode within 6 seconds, or by a simple technique.
Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop.

As the woman and children moved towards the exit Baek had a bad feeling. His body tensed as they made a mad rush towards the door, their faces contorted into masks of stark, unhidden fear. Even so he couldn’t take his eyes from the menace that had come into view through cracks of the broken wall so when it finally moved towards something near other side he had been too slow to put two-and-two together.

They didn’t see it.

From where he was standing he could easily catch a glimpse of the smooth steel body lurking just outside the burning building, but in their fearful haste had blinded them to the danger that now barred them from leaving. Following the scene from where he stood some 3.4 meters to door, he watched as the frightened woman stammered to a halt with the children stumbling into her backside forcing her even closer to the menacing automaton than she’d already come. Rather than fleeing in other direction this woman, who looked little more than a common civilian, unused to the cold brutality of war threw her arms over the wailing younglings behind her, her own high pitched scream tearing through the air and twisting Baek’s gut.

It had been just what he needed to be jarred into action. Reflexes accumulated over a lifetime of training and combat took over, leaving his conscious thoughts little else to do than fret on the fringes of his concentration. His foot slammed down powerfully at precisely the same time that automaton began to weave its hand seals. Within himself something awakened. Some powerful flood gate was released and the dramatic influx of power left Baek feeling drunk of its concentration. Having no time to act—at this point the machine had already completed its hand signs, Baek shot forth, the First of Eight Chakra Gates open and releasing the limits of his muscles so that he might move to the best of his ability. Rather than run, he leapt through the wall with such speed and power that the building behind him groaned loudly as parts came crashing down.

His speed was such that the naked human eye would not be able to make out anymore the blurred outline of a human being, but to him the world had slowed considerably. Having broken through the outer wall of the by-now blazing building, Baek was now outside and perpendicular to the automaton’s position from the exit. A quick glance gave him an estimated 4 meter distance between himself and the strange being, but as the whirring sound of mechanical parts being clicked into place rang in his ears he was in motion again, his pause lasting only 1.5 seconds. Again with the First Gate’s power gushing through him he exploded towards the mechanical menace, the ground caving into a 2 foot crater where his feet had pressed into it. Faster than seemed possible he was at the monstrosity’s side, the cold steel body fogging up from the warmness of his breath.

Although he had kept them largely removed from his combat Baek could not help wondering where such a thing might have come from. It might have been a secret Takigakure weapon run amok and if so then his own village, Kusagakure was in danger if their enemy managed to harness the power of this invention. At the edge of his vision he caught the vague impression of something flying in the general direction of the small gathering and without thinking twice one hand reached for the hilt of his katana as his body tensed in preparation for an explosive Battojutsu:Irounakugiri attack. At the moment the machine was about to release its technique, the daito katana that had been laconically resting in its sheath all this time exploded free from its sheath, cutting through the air with hiss as it created a metallic arc of silver that etched out the crescent path of Baek’s cut.

The cross-reverse slash would have started at the left side of the base of the automaton’s neck, sliced through its left shoulder before continuing down through what might be considered the droid’s groin regions. Behind the slash would be the extraordinary power of a skilled Kenjutsu practitioner and enhanced by the opening of the First Gate. His body already perspiring from the extreme exertion Baek’s eyes traced the path of the flying projectile and felt helpless to act in time to stop it if its purpose had been to harm the woman and the children still whimpering under the gaze of the enemy.

Effect: The body can only go 20% of it's limits naturally, with all the gates on. With each gate, however, the body can go an extra 10% for each gate broken. The Initial Gate enables the user to push forth to 30%. When a user takes the time to break this gate, they become capable of moving .5 times faster than normal. This means that a user who is capable of performing 4 movements would be capable of performing an amount of 6 movements in total. (4 base movements + 2 movements for the ×.5)
Special: The user must concentrate within their inner body for one brief moment in order to bring forth the gate.
Drawback: Simply put, the Hachimontonkou work on a 100% scale. Unlocking the Initial Gate expends 10% of the aforementioned one hundred each round it remains open. What this means is that if you were to perform under the Initial Gate's influence for two rounds, you would have used 20% out of the allotted one hundred. BUT, the moment a user goes over this 100%, their entire musculature will begin tearing apart, resulting in short stints of temporary paralysis accompanied by shocking pains. Repairing this damage requires medical attention with a success rate of 90%.
Description: Located in the region between the genitals and the anus, the Inital Gate is the first of the Hachimontonkou. It's not rare for a shinobi who uses a good deal of taijutsu to know how to unlock this gate. This gate is usually broken in order to perform a needed devastating attack or for a temporary boost to get out of a sticky situation. However, keeping this gate unlocked for an extended period of time can put a lot of strain on the user's muscles.
The rank of any Taijutsu Attack is increased by One Rank.

At the attempt at raiding the automaton's body of weaponry, the sound of a woman screaming had caught the attention of the Takigakure Medic. Although he had decided to leave it for now and deal with saving his village's citizens, a kunai wrapped in an explosive tag would be hurled toward the automaton's direction. However, as the kunai was being wrapped, Baek would have been entering the first gate and had moved forth toward the automaton.

At this point the automaton glanced toward the shimmering body and the precise slice through it's torso. The tag would detonate and the explosion would knock the automaton more into Baek's swing of the sword and thus, rupturing it's chest, expelling the chakra stored there. All the lights suddenly went out and the metallic beast fell lifeless in Baek's arms. The woman and children would continue to sob and whimper, but otherwise no – one appeared to be harmed.

However, within the next 4 seconds reinforcements had been called to the scene, a total of six automatons appear from around the small group, surrounding the Grass Shinobi and the Waterfallian. Three would appear 2m to the right of the fallen automation, and 3.6m away from Ryuuchou. Whereas the remaining three would appear to the left of Ryuuchou standing by a darkened alley 2.6m away. A, B and C Automatons each briefly went though a series of handseals before all three flame throwers were formed and ignited.

Automaton's D, E and F would also perform the same motion at the exact same time as the first three and would aim directly toward Ryuuchou. It was very clear that a huge explosion was about to occur, but what will the two Ninja do in the meantime?

  Effect: The user is capable of performing a few handseals in which gives them the capability of blowing a large body of fire in size of a large sphere that has great fire proportions and explosive capabilities.

  Drawback: Depending on the Rank, is dependent on how strong or how much the user is capable of doing with the Goukakyuu no Jutsu.
  Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

Baek watched coolly as his enemy fell beneath the deadly force of his blade. Sweat trickled down his in tiny rivulets that began from his hairline, but nevertheless his expression did not wavered as he turned from the decimated machine foe to the charges he’d just saved. Immediately he became filled with a sense of satisfaction. This is what duty is about. Now, then, he thought with narrowed eyes already shifting to the direction from where the sailing weapon had come from, Time to tie up a few loose ends.

His mind pulsed dully, a physical reminder that he was reaching the limits of how long he could keep the Initial Gate open; his body would feel flaccid afterwards, but it was only one opponent left after all…there was nothing to worry about.

Mockingly fate had other plans. Baek’s momentary view of the strange ninja was blocked off as a familiar metallic sheen glittered as the sun’s rays bounded off the polished bodies of three new automatons standing 2 meters aware from their fallen kin. Remaining motionless Baek spat nonchalantly off to the side before saying,

“Only three this time? You monsters have no respect for your betters.” His sneer was without a drop of inflection in its tone.

The machines, as before, set working through their hand seals and Baek once again moved to action. Turning to face the triad of machines squarely he lowered himself slightly in a half-crouch before using the raw power of his fully utilized musculature to explode across the 2 meter expanse in the space of 1 second. Behind he left another crater, this one only 1.5 meters in diameter left a vague impression of his dwindling power, but as he faced the automaton on the left flank of the formation he paid this no mind. His limits for the moment were abated by the fact that he had a duty to fulfill...and he would succeed by any means necessary. As the machines’ hand seals were completed and the machine he faced directly lifted a spigot-like arm in his direction it seemed that the inevitable attack was coming, but it was too late.

By far, it was too late.

With near-mechanical efficiency, Baek dropped smoothly into a kneeling Iaijutsu stance and in one fluid motion drew his blade and twirled it mid-swing so that when he struck the flamethrower’s mouth there was a metallic clang as the blunted back of his daito hammered the artillery from the left side over to the right—where the rest of the abominations stood with their focus on him. His blade quickly found its sheath as the space of .5 seconds elapsed before he gathered in his mind how he would dispose of these enemies. The ease with which physical dominance controlled the tide of this battle cracked his usually reserved demeanor and he found himself breaking out in an uncharacteristic smile as he sprung quickly up from his knee and using the momentum of a complete spin done at dizzying speeds drawing his katana once more. Under the soles of his sandal the Takigakure ground cracked and crumbled beneath the pressure of the shifting momentum gathered into a deadly slash aimed again at the neck, but rather than stopping here Baek went further.

His initial attack broke for only a breath before his blade and body was instantly drawn compactly before he thrust forward into the chest cavity of the victimized automaton. Pulling his sword free he sprung into the air to release the final stage of his three-part attack—a Goukakyuu no Jutsu of his own. His enhanced physical strength sent him sailing 10 meters up into the air and 3 meters back from the direction he faced. With the added distance he began working the half-seals for the technique he had mastered so very early on in his ninja career. His cloak wrapped out him like a pair of wings and for a moment he felt a sense of similarity with a predatory bat whose prey was already in sight.

If the redirected flamethrower of the automaton he’d initially attacked didn’t destroy the others with its released fireball then he would put an end to this farce of a battle with his own might.

Prepping Jutsu

As the seals were being performed, Baek's rush of movement had formed a small crater, capturing one of the small children clinging desperately onto the woman's leg. He would tumble into the crater but otherwise remain unharmed. The woman and the rest of the children would slip into the crater in an attempt to hide themselves from the flames and automatons within the area. The Kusa Shinobi would successfully damage automaton A's flame thrower, the gas running down it's arm to the point of exit would build up within it's arm and burst under the pressure, thus damaging the humanoid's arm completely.

As the arm blew, Baek's sword would penetrate it's chest, expelling the chakra stored there, into the air, Automaton B and C would both jump back 1.7m, releasing their fire upon the crater but not harming the civilians due to their heads being held low. The heat might knock the air out of them but unless checked by a medic immediately, everyone should be fine. But B would soon head toward Baek, easily crossing the short distance, raising it's sword in an attempt at swinging the large blade across the Ninja's chest before swinging it back perfectly 0.2 seconds later so that if the first swing was avoided, the second should connect.

However, if B's attacked should be dodged, Automaton C would rush forward during the beginning of the second swipe, attempting to thrust it's blade into Baek's left side. As the gentleman's body jerks back from the first swipe's invasion. However, the flames being released from 3.6m toward the ally and only medic within the area, Baek would feel the heat from the flames as they strike the building behind Ryuuchou. The flames would spit out from the building, latching onto Ryuuchou's clothing but not to the point of engulfing the Waterfallian in flames.

The building however, would erupt and collapse in on itself, spraying chunks of rock and wood in all directions ranging from 1 – 1.8m in radius. Automaton's D, E and F would then move toward the Medic, each raising swords in an attempt at slicing the male should he not move from the position he was currently in. With the fate of the village in the who Ninja's hands, what will Baek and Ryuuchou do?

[Ryuuchou Meimu]

Patting out the flames as soon as he detected them, Ryuuchou assessed his current situation, in which he was outnumbered and overpowered. Three enemies, each with three blades, each wielding skills that Ryuuchou had never even thought about before. With their swords primed for a strike, Ryuuchou did the only thing that came to his mind -- he channeled Chakra into his feet and made for the nearest vertical surface at a decent clip. Not stopping when he finally met it, he instead began to ascend it and move up along the side, hopefully leaving the enemies behind. He would turn his head after reaching around 20 meters height and see what the robots did. While he did so, he started preparing some explosive kunai -- three, to be exact.

Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing

Effect: Allows a Non-Ninja the ability to perform Advanced chakra techniques.

Drawback: Non Ninjas must learn in order to learn Advanced chakra techniques. Ninjas gain this technique for free in the beginning however does not add into Character Class like other starting techniques. Does not work on Animal Companions.
Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed. Allows a user to learn up to "C" Rank Chakra related Techniques.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu Technique.

As the power of the First Gate slowly began to slip away from the world shifted blearily back to normal time. Baek’s senses dulled horribly and the sharp quickness he’d enjoyed for the last few seconds drubbed to the slow beat of his normal human capabilities. Even so he was quick enough to perceive the automatons moving towards him with mechanical impunity; they no longer seemed interested in the defenseless civilians now that a real threat had identified itself. Despite the acidic poison of his fatigue slowly debilitating him he let a chagrined grin plaster itself across his face as the metallic insignia of the Kusanin flashed in the dim morning light of Takigakure. At least here on of the proud ninja of the Grass could claim that they’d done something honorable for the sake of duty.

His half-seals finished just as the two glimmering entities took flight into the air after him. Both wielding swords now with deadly purpose Baek only had a few heartbeats before they would finish him with vicious sword strokes not unlike the ones he’d dealt their comrades. Unfortunately for the robots, a few heartbeats were a little too much time to have given him.

Chakra burned within his chest as the final half-seal formed 1 second before the first automaton would have made contact with its attack. Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu

The grand fireball would erupt from his lips with a god-like wrath as it expanded from something that could fit into the mouth of a diminutive human child into something that could easily engulf several large men. All-consuming heat rushed in all directions, bathing every living and non-living thing within a vicinity of 10 meters with the powerful aura of the yellowish-orange fire that had now grown to a size three times that of an average adult human being. Rushing down upon them with that size and speed in a straight-line, the mechanical foes would have nowhere to run while they were airborne and for a moment Baek nearly pitied their predicament as he began to fall back to the earth, approximately 5 meters away from where the explosion would engulf the machines in a fiery explosion.

It was in the brief seconds following his feet touching that ground that a horrible realization spanned across his battle-weary mind. In his proud ignorance he’d unleashed an attack which could not be controlled after its creation—and the civilians were still somewhere close to where the fireball would hit! Clammy and weak from the exertion of using the First Gate, his body barely responded as he staggered to his feet with his mouth open. He was certain he was trying to shout with every bit of strength he had, but all that came out were choking gags that left him windless and doubled over in a fit of coughing. Shame and dismay overtook him as he squeezed his eyes shut against the scene of the fireball making its fiery crash landing into the buildings, machines, and all else that was in its path.
There would be nothing left of the enemy…or the people he had sworn to protect on his honor.

Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.
