Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. When making contact it releases a flash of light that momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately 5 seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The incredibly loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear which also lasts approximately 5 seconds until the ear restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. Description: Picture There are different things within the Lock Picking Tool Kit. The tension wrench, is used to apply torque to the lock plug to keep pins from being pushed back down by springs after they are correctly set at the shear line. It is usually anywhere from 1/16th inch to 1/8th inch wide, bent into an L, and occasionally has a quarter twist on the long side. The hook pick is self explanatory, it is similar to the half diamond pick, but has a hook shaped tip rather than a half diamond shape. The hook pick is sometimes referred to as a 'feeler' and is generally used to lift the pins individually, rather than 'rake' them simultaneously. A warded pick is a device for opening warded locks. - "Mercenary" (mer·ce·nar·y/ˈmərsəˌnerē/)
Adjective: (of a person or their behavior) Primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics. - "Business as usual" - Even if it was a short life, it was not one void of bad sights and influences. It's the rule of thumb amongst her family, that all things must be seen through to the end, jobs and tasks completed regardless of personal feelings or thoughts. Ai sees to it, that all her given tasks and jobs are completed sucesfully, but more often then not it leaves a very bitter taste in her mouth afterward.
- "When in doubt, punch it." - Doesn't work? Try fixing it. Still doesn't work? Punch it. Now it works. Patience was never Ai's strong suite - she's quick to blow a fuse, especially if booze is in question.
- "Rough around the edges" - Sometimes loud, most of the time rather insultive, quite insensitive and for the majority a queen bitch. Despite her more or less 'tsundere' approach to people, given enough time she tends to adopt the 'big sister' role and gets rather protective around people (or animals) that've grown on her.
- "Stubborn. Mule type of stubborn." - Just try and tell her she can't go through that wall. Try it.
As far as stubborn creatures go, Ai's a great competition for the title there; she refuses to give up or give in, and if her mind's set on something she'll have it. - "Sharpest tool in the shed." - As much as she'd like to pride on it, brawn wasn't the only thing that kept her alive so far; Savage she may be, but Ai's not a fool. She's a quick thinker and a good one that takes her time analyzing what goes on around her.
She knows when to call it quits, and when to go for the kill. - "Pack Member" - Ai can work well in a group surprisingly. She can asses and adapt to each group and team to best utilize their and her own abilities in coordinated team work. It's easier, faster and less irritating then to do everything alone.

Tall and brutish, Ai is an imposing amazon typed figure with well honed muscles and a tanned hide adorned with cuts and scars of various origins.
Her frame is broad shouldered, shallow hipped, with thick bones, wide fists and broad flat feet. Not the most feminine of features but then again, she never was one to care.
Ai's head is crowned in thick, black dreadlocks that are pulled up in a high tail. Her face seems to possess some degree of graceful features, with high set cheekbones, long, sweeping brows and what would be considered sharp yet elegant features; But a square, strong jaw, thick neck and wrinkles from the constant frown and damaged, tanned skin on her face add more to her intimidating persona then help it.
Coupled with her facial features are a pair of bright yellow eyes with ever small pupils that harbor a constant predatory look to them.
Ai prefers loose, mobile clothing, thin and breathable - she is often seen in a high-neck, sleeveless tank top and underneath a fishnet blouse.
Her arms are covered in a thin bandage, leaving her knuckles and sharp tipped, thick elbow bare. Around the waist is a thick cloth with the blazoned metal of the Hidden Rock Village that serves as a belt, supporting the butt bag and a holster for her Katara Knife. Sewn into that is a long 'loincloth' with some simple, almost tribal patterns on it.
She wears very loose and baggy pants with a 'hole' on each side. Bandages around each knee tie the ends of the said pants into place. Fishnets are laced around the shins and for footwear it's a pair of simple, light two-toed sandals.
Background:
Everything has something to do with money. Groceries, booze, your tampons...you pay for all of it. It also comes from somewhere. Folk selling it live off it too.
There's other things money can buy; Like people, organs, weapons. It's all business like any other...'cept this business might stab someone, or might complain a bit louder then your average cabbage. Does a cabbage complain? Food for thought.
Ai Kagome, born to Choku Kagome and his wife Aoi. The Kagome family follow a long line of hunters, mercenaries, bounty hunters and generally what people would consider low-lives; thieves, thugs, robbers. Now, it's not to say they're out to cause evil, mayhem and havoc...they just found themselves comfortable in a rather profitable business that not always agrees with the rest of the world's norms of wanted jobs and 'good, quality' people. But as times change so do clans; Sure, the Kagome spawn a few mercenaries here and there so often, but most have taken to the thrilling challenge of Pit Fights and Gladiatorial combat - safe to say, they ain't bad at it.
Third child, with two older brothers, Ai's the typical 'hang with the guys, get into fights, see who can spit the farthest' girl - following in the steps of her predecessors, father and brothers came only naturally.
Broken bones, tared muscles and ligaments, bruises, heavy bleeding; that was an every day occurrence...scrapped knees that are still scared and healing after so many years, a nose broken one to many times to count; she stopped counting how many teeth she'd use to pick up from the sidewalk. Ai wasn't the only though; the amount of damage inflicted on her, she returned twice fold to her brothers, and the kids in turn returned the favour to dad, their mentor. It was a happy cycle of 'kick-them-assess' that never seems to end still. But it's a set-in-stone fact, Kagome family members know each other by heart, and they stick close to one another.
Touching bit of family information, however, nobody said that meant a good influence; Ai learned how to flip a dagger at the age of five, earned her Katara blade at the age of ten, chugged her first bottle of sake a few months after that, and lit her first cigarette a year later. Like back then, she still does it but never alone. Ever-faithful companions in mischief are her two older brothers.
She'll never admit it, but considering that as of late she's not able to see them as often as one would like, Ai' misses them and takes any given opportunity to get back in touch with them.
Ai's a recent Academy Graduate. There were no brilliant displays of power, not a remarkable prodigy, or passing with flying colours. Maybe she would if she wasn't busy sleeping through classes, running off from them and drinking. Maybe her family would've said something sooner if she didn't run off every time to come back home and nag about learning something useful.
It was her idea to go for a ninja; she saw the prospect of power and money in it, along with a steady safe income. And being the family's first ninja ain't a bad deal.
She learned Muay Thay with her old man, but even with her stone carved body there's only so much a child can take in the end. Muay Thay would be taken one step at a time, while Brawling and street competitions were always welcome.
What'll happen now is still to be seen. She passed the Academy thanks to some sense being beaten into her skull by the old man and a frying pan; training is underway, but she want's to see how amusing this chosen path of life will be.
