The sun was just rising just past the tree line. A beautiful forest lit with orange haze of burning sun. The sun illuminated a sleeping red head who was up on a tall oak tree branch about twenty feet up. She was able to achieve this feat with more ease after her teachings at the academy learning the tree climbing technique.
From a bird's eye view it would seem another was in the area watching down on the young red head sleeping away face down on the branch. 'Extremely odd way of sleeping...wonder if she was really waiting...no...she couldn't be she has no idea of any training today...' thought the male that had dark brown spiked hair that was slightly messed up type of cut only traveling slightly down the nape of his neck. The male was a jounin from the looks of it going by the name of Sanji.
The young kunoichi stirred slightly but other then that she was pretty much deep in her sleep. Sanji silently jumped to the tree Phy was sleeping on, and quietly went down to her branch. He crept closer curious if the girl was that sound of a sleeper that she had yet to know someone was close to her that could mean her harm. 'Looks like I got a lot of work ahead of me...this one just doesn't seem to pay...' his thought was interrupted as the kunoichi had something hidden under her chest. A single kunai she had been sleeping with, she wasn't stupid when it came to always be prepared scenarios. Not anymore anyway. Sanji was actually caught of guard as he reeled himself backwards nearly falling off the branch but clinging upside to the very branch focusing his chakra into his feet.
"Well good to know your alive..." said Sanji regathering his composure. Phy's eyes seemed wide and vibrant, as she watched Sanji very carefully. "What you think I didn't know you were about? I live out here, and i'm used to the dangers of the wild." she said with a smug grin on her face. Granted Phyre never dealt with enemy ninja attacking her as one of the dangers. "So what brings you to my home?" she said slightly irritated.
"Well you have a real feisty attitude, though for those snide remarks to a high ranking official, drop and give me twenty genin." said Sanji with a smirk on his young handsome face. Phy would glare at him but chose to listen, to her she chose not that she would admit she was ever forced to do something. She would leap down to the ground level and begin to do push ups the normal way not the knees down on the ground girly way. Sanji would lean against a tree and pretend to be paying attention, while he was paying closer attention to the sky.
As a few minutes went by, and the young genin was blazing through the twenty she was counting to herself on it. 'Seventeen.....Eighteen....Nineteen....TWENTY!' she stopped doing the exercise with a sigh of relief. Though it didn't tire her out, she just once more chose to do something. Phyre looked up at Sanji who hadn't moved from his location. "I'm done." was all she said. Sanji looked at her confused. "Done? Didn't even realize you ever started." he said once more with the grin on his face. If looks could kill, surely Phy's would right about now. "Come again?" she said in a sarcastic dark tone and gritted teeth.
"You know giving me death glares only increases the punishments...and nope didn't know you even started, I got distracted on inner journey of peace." said Sanji once more, leaning up from the tree and walking closer to Phyre. "Inner journey of peace my butt..." she muttered. Sanji either didn't hear her or chose to let it go. "Well I didn't come here to harass you into doing random exercises of punishment...I came to teach you a powerful jutsu. Your record indicates your a fire user." he would say still not ever telling Phy his name yet.
"New jutsu huh? Before we start what is your name?" asked Phy as if she was taking somewhat of charge. "That won't be necessary...should you survive your task of this particular jutsu training THEN I'll think about sharing my name with you, Ninja rule number one in my book. Always keep identities hidden. We're ninjas after-all." he said with what was becoming a notorious grin.
Phyre would cross her arms not all liking how she was being treated, but least it wasn't some girly extremely nice sensei either. She stood there quietly waiting for further instruction. "Today I will teach you a B ranked jutsu called Haisekishou" he paused noting Phyre's reaction to the odd word the man just said. Sanji would sigh and say once more. "Ok Burning Ash...for someone that can't seem to comprehend Japanese words..least that's how you looked anyway." Phy would just roll her eyes slightly and sigh. "Ok...then we'll the technique is what the title proclaims, ash the burns. First before dealing with such a feat in jutsu to your ranking. I want to see what you got in chakra control, train your fire chakra to get strong enough to be able to deal with such a jutsu. By doing so meditate, and focus your chakra within, central location I would say hands and chest." he would say once more taking a step back to see how the genin would do.
Phy shrugged it off as if this would be a piece of cake. She would hold her hands together with her pointer fingers up, close to her heart, closing her eyes in the process. Sanji for now was watching the girl's take on his instructions intently. Phyre would start to build up chakra from all parts of her body but it didn't last for long before it seemed to fizzle out on the focus.
Sanji sighed seeing her screw up, figuring like any genin's first sight of training for higher ranked jutsus it was more then likely lack of focus. Sanji's solution...pick up a rock and toss it at Phy's head toward's her left side. It was only a small rock that would go flying. Course for Phy who was in deep inner conflict with herself wouldn't be able to even see the rock coming. As the rock smacked her right in the side temple, she would be sent falling to the ground, blood trickling from where the rock had hit. Phy's focus was definitely not on the training now, her eyes opened wide and sinister looking. She just assumed it was Sanji that did it. "Your gonna wish you hadn't done that..." she said in a deep voice. All Sanji could do was laugh. "Your so quick to anger...but you still can't focus. Maybe if you harness your focus of anger to the focus of your chakra control you would get somewhere." he said with a grin, well aware Phy was not a happy camper, he just didn't care.
Phyre would let out a frustrated sigh, as she grinned slightly, she had something planned out for once, and would chose this battle wisely against the far more experienced ninja. Rolling her eyes she began to focus what anger she held onto for the thrown rock, which wasn't easy due to the now pounding headache she was battling. She was building up her chakra good this time, sweat and blood started to trickle down her face as she continued on in to the afternoon. Sanji was not concerned for the injury he had inflicted onto the girl, not yet anyway. He grinned slightly knowing she was getting there but she still had yet to harness the true potential yet of her chakra control.
"Still doing it wrong..." said Sanji with another sigh. "Here's a hint, you have to look within yourself...find that inner you and let your spirit sore like a phoenix rising from the ashes." he said wondering if that might intrigue the girl to do better now. Phy would smirk to the phoenix comment, it was in fact her favorite mythical creature, she would like to say her inner spirit was like one. She focused on that thought a phoenix rising from the depths of its own ashes. The energy started flowing a lot smoother now, but Phy was at her max for the day and as she attempted to give it her all, her chakra just had no more all and she would inevitably pass out due to it. Sanji would just stand there and laugh a bit seeing the genin unconscious on the dirt ground under the trees. The now setting sun casted a shadow on her from behind the trees.
