Castle Yukigakure
The structures of Yukigakure are predominately wooden, mostly due to the harsh climate and limited good time for the setting of mortar and the construction of buildings. Yet, one of the few stone buildings, an ancient building, who has seen countless collapses and fires and horrible events, has been repaired to a reasonable extent to be used for the Yukikage, both to prove a point and to serve as a safe place for his citizens in a time of war. It is also currently serving as the Yukikage Tower, where ninja go to request missions and other things.
It is set up into a hill, composed of black stone, and always surrounded by piles and piles of snow. The maintenance of the city tries to keep a path clear to it, but more likely than not, for three months a year, the ninja who visit the place will be walking on a path composed of packed snow. It is a long hike, a mile maybe, up a steep and rocky and snowy hill, which is close enough to the mountains that a wrong move could bring an avalanche. The entire path is not for the weak of heart. Yet, as one climbs, they will see the stout stone structure better and better, a sturdy looking building. The building is not a cleverly built one, it has a relatively flat roof, which would easily collapse if it were not thoroughly buttressed and often shoveled clean of snow. The gate into the place is a iron door, heavy, and barred with a thick oak beam in times of danger. Rather than have a guard whose duty it is to stand outside (a horrible job, in these climates) the Yukikage has commissioned arrow slits, which look to the outside, which a guard is to check periodically, just to make sure all is okay. The door is unlocked normally anyways, but a soldier is there for any rarely needed assistance. If you cannot open a door, you are hardly fit for life in Yukigakure.
Right outside the gate is a nice, stout, stable building, with room for six beasts at a time. It has a fire, always burning inside of it, but is discouraged for those not involved with the animals inside to visit. A groom awaits there, at most hours at least, taking care of the horses and such, and making sure that he can provide for their well-being, keeping them fit for fight or flight, whenever the need may arise. The floors are dirt and hay, which sucks the heat right out of the building, but any horse raised in Yukigakure is simply happy with the fire. The walls are stone, a sturdy building, to house the sturdy steeds which live there.
The entryway is a small room, but many stop there to warm their hands, as there is a blazing fire there at almost every hour. Once they go through, they will have to pass through a large courtyard, which is largely a statue garden due to the lack of good gardening. The statues are of strong warriors from legends, all bearing huge axes, swords or hammers, and striking fierce poses. The few statues not of men are of monsters, being slaughtered where they stand. It is an inspiring garden for all those of war, but the statues are had to see most of the year, when the snow piles up in the garden. There is a centerpiece fountain, which is more of a joke than anything, dedicated to the goddess of peace in an ancient religion from this region. She has the nectar of peace flowing through her in the form of the water that is designed to flow through the fountain, but, due to the poor condition of the fountain and the icy cold, that peace never flows. Once somebody passes through the garden, they reach the ‘throne room,’ which is where all of the business takes place.
The kitchens are accessible through a big side door in the Great Hall. They are a pungent space, always smelling of meats and cheeses and wines. They are not open to most in theory, but the chefs are often kind enough to let those who visit sneak in and have a pastry or a leg of lamb. The food there, while not horrible, errs on the side of quantity not quality. The room is nice, with high quality utensils and cutlery, and it is also decorated, but with intricate carvings in the stone walls, showing hunts and feasts and other scenes which might go reasonably well with a kitchen.
If one decides not to go to the kitchen, they can instead walk down a hallway, one of cold, grey stone. The doors there are thick oak, and the first one leads to the barracks, where most of the occupants of the place stay. They have communal housing, similar to that of soldiers. Up to ten full-time occupants can live there. The beds are build up, just high enough to slide a trunk underneath, for the personal belongings of the occupants. There is, of course, a fireplace, but no servant feeds it, it is the duty of whoever is sleeping there to take care of their own warmth. Other than those features, the room is close to barren.
On the other side of the hall is an armoury, and well built one. It is decorated, once again with scenes of war and peace carved upon the walls. It has weapon racks, built out of stone, and thirty of them at that. Below each armor rack, there is a chest, a stout wooden one, which will hold the secondary equipments for the guards and other soldiers of Yukigakure. Most ninja are not assigned chests in here, although the Yukikage can have one if he desires one. The room is not used for particularly valuable things, such as the village scrolls, which go elsewhere, in the storage vaults.
The Yukikage’s room is past the armoury, and is more than a room, but a whole suite of rooms, with a nice bathroom made of cobbled stones, and actual running water, which requires the fire in the room to be burning to function. He has beareaus, where he keeps his clothes when he is not wearing them, and a huge bed that he can rest quite well in. He also has his writing desk, for composing letters, as he does not have a true office. He has adorned the walls with tapestries of his family and and ancestry, and of the history of the village, but the centerpiece, over the bed, is a tapestry of an fire of old, which destroyed this very castle once, leaving only the bones of the place it is now. Everything is very warm, very isolated, and a fire place allows servants to keep it warm enough at all hours.
Past that, there are stairs that lead down into the vaults. They are currently unlocked, but are guarded most of the time. They contain many of the village's valuables, such as the money and the scrolls. They are rarely accessed, except to deposit money or to loan out the said scrolls. The room itself is stone, with a big, bronze door protecting it. It has lots of neat shelves, and small boxes to keep the money in, some of which is stored in the form of gold for efficiency, but most of it is kept in banknotes.
On the same floor, but at the opposite side of the hall are the prisons. A currently unoccupied room, full of cages and devices for torture. While it is hoped that these implements will never see human flesh, it seems unlikely, given the hated position of the Snow Village in the eyes of most of the world. There is rarely a fire burning, but there are braziers and other things in case a fire is needed. The doors are lockable, and a small barrel stands, full of water in case of a fire. There is a small pile of sheets on the ground, in case somebody needs to spend the night in the prison room but not in a cell.
-NPC's will be posted in the Village Information Thread
-2 Day IIC
-Posting Order only stands for characters you are interacting with
-Must have Kage permission to borrow a mount
-Kage will GM NPC's. Villagers are allowed to GM guards to a small extent, but please, keep it reasonable

The room which one enters next is a large room, and is a combination of common room, throne room, and dining room. It is the Great Hall, and it serves many purposes. Firstly, it is a common place for ninja to idle, awaiting fellowship, employment, or even simply the food which is prepared for the lord of these halls. Secondly, it is the reigning seat of the Yukikage. Many sovereigns prefer secretive offices, but the Yukikage has selected an open room to make decisions in. He wants to make clear and bold moves, not the kind of subtle, intricate and theoretical moves that an office seems to provoke. That very seat is not a particularly comfortable one. It is a large and old one, carved out of stone, with details of snow and frost done upon it, as an homage to the land which its owner rules. Thirdly, this is where potential hirers of the ninja village come, to present their missions to the ruler. He then decides what the rate will be, and whether or not he wants to take on the mission. If a ninja wants to take on a mission, they will do it by interacting with the Yukikage when he is sitting the throne, or by talking to his steward if he is out and about. The walls are adorned with tapestries of tremendous size and quality, who show scenes from the history of Yukigakure. It also has silver ornaments adoring its tables, and a quite ornate throne of precious metals for an assistant to the Yukikage to sit in beside him.

A fireplace allows heating of brands, while a barrel of water stands nearby for extinguishing flames.
Limit: Must be created by a Construction Crafter.
Cost: 30,000 Ryo
On the same floor, but at the opposite side of the hall are the prisons. A currently unoccupied room, full of cages and devices for torture. While it is hoped that these implements will never see human flesh, it seems unlikely, given the hated position of the Snow Village in the eyes of most of the world. There is rarely a fire burning, but there are braziers and other things in case a fire is needed. The doors are lockable, and a small barrel stands, full of water in case of a fire. There is a small pile of sheets on the ground, in case somebody needs to spend the night in the prison room but not in a cell.
