Ryu stood in her garden, as usual, basking in the sunlight and beauty of the plants around her. She breathed in deeply and decided today would be a good day to train something. She only wondered what it was she would train, and how she would go about doing it. Atlas was asleep still, as it was still somewhat early in the morning, and the dew still sat on the leaves around.
It had been a while since the female had trained anything completely new, and she was interested in a set of skills that could further her capability to win in any situation, without disadvantage due to the elements involved. She needed a well-rounded grasp of releases, and to do this she needed to gain more knowledge into the different elemental reigns involved.
To start, she thought perhaps a new release was in order. She set to thinking which element she wanted to get a handle on, and the first to come to mind was lightning. She'd recently seen a shinobi using it in her proximity, and thought she'd give it a try. It could come in handy sometime.
Hands ready, she began bringing the chakra from within her body to the surface of her skin, spreading it out into the air, attempting to find some way to create electricity. All she needed was a spark for now, and she could be satisfied.
She kept spreading her chakra, finding small currents in the air, but nothing came to mind as to how to use it. She thought about when she rubbed her hands along fabrics, sometimes a spark was formed. Perhaps friction was what she was needing to figure this out. She moved her chakra quickly, in an attempt to force molecules together to form a spark, but it seemed to fail. She focused, searching for a current that could help her create a spark easier.
She found one, and brought all of her chakra to a central location within the current, spinning and twisting the power around until it eventually made a cracking noise. There was no light, but she was sure there had almost been a spark of electricity.
Again, she pressed her chakra, moving it faster within the small area, until finally, a small spark emerged, and she knew she'd almost gotten it. With a bit more work, she could have this release down in no time.
