"And off we go~"
[Enter]Magen: Shimonami (Demonic Illusion: Frost Wave)
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: Genjutsu
Effect: Creates an intense feeling of cold all over a target opponent's body.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: This effect is simply an illusion- after it has been dispelled, there are no after-effects.
Description: Gathering chakra-using handseals, the user then sends a wave of chakra at the opponent. This wave, once it strikes the opponent, targets the opponent's brain, or specifically the portion of the brain that deals with touch. Once that area has been affected, a slow, cold feeling will begin to cover the opponent's body. This feeling will slow reaction times of opponent's, and the effect only increases as time passes. If the technique has not been dispelled within five turns, then the opponent's speed will become equivalent to that of a sloth.
Limit: Must know Glamour Perception

She was several miles away from the village and Haruka was already missing her home. She had all the essential items a genin needed for this trip, and hoped that everything would work out fine for her at the Chuunin exams. The girl had never attended the exams before, so was unsure of what to expect. Still, she had high hopes that she would pass the series of tests and make her village proud. Just to be safe, the girl made sure to bring several scrolls with techniques to train on during the travel to Tea. She didn't want even a minute wasted. Every passing hour could of been an hour to train on a technique.
The girl took the first scroll that came out of her bag and read it. "Frost Wave" she read to herself. It was a technique where she was capable to ticking the opponent into thinking they were under the conditions of extreme cold. "This should do!" she sang. It was a perfect genjutsu to train on while traveling. She did the proper handseals and began to allow the chakra within her body circulate through her. She made sure to focus the chakra on herself. She wanted to make sure she felt the cold from her own gejutsu just to make sure it was working properly.
She had the chakra circulate her own body for a few minutes. But nothing happened. She wondered how to go about learning the technique. She had to somehow trick herself that it was freezing cold. The girl then began thinking about the feeling of being frozen. It had been long ago since she had experienced snow. She remembered as a little girl how a snow flake would feel against warm flesh. It stung just a little, but would melt away into water and drip down her arm. The more snowflakes, the more the cold stung her arm, until she felt very cold. Her mother had to run out of the house and give her a jacket to avoid hypothermia.
Haruka took this flashback to her advantage. She had to mimic that same sensation, but through her genjutsu. She performed the handseals once more and had the chakra flow through her body. She then continued thinking about the cold she felt as a child. Suddenly the same feeling began to overcome her. She would feel that bitter sensation of snow falling over her skin. It was uncomfortable at first, but easily overcomed. She knew that she had to make the genjutsu stronger, or else people would be unsusceptible by the cold. She did the handseals once more and began to approach the technique a different way.
The girl suddenly remembered that in order for the genjutsu to work, she had to trigger a specific part of the brain. That way, she could trick the brain into thinking it was cold; chakra over her body could not do it alone. She began thinking of her anatomy classes during the academy. Which part of the brain registered sensation? After giving it much thought, the girl remembered the location. The "sensory cortex" was the part of the brain was responsible for relaying pain, heat, cold and other sensations. This was where the girl had to focus her chakra and trick her brain into thinking it was very cold.
Without hesitation, the girl quickly began to do the necessary handseals once more. She had the chakra from straight to the sensory cortex which was located to the back of the cerebrum. The chakra would accumulate there and that's when Haruka began to think of the cold that she had felt when she was a child. Suddenly, a chill would go up her spine as she felt the cool touch of snow. It landed all over her arm, and through the rest of her body. The girl crossed her hands in an attempt to warm herself up. It was strange, feeling extremely cold on a 75 degree day. Frosty puffs of air would come out of the genin's mouth as she felt the frigid conditions become stronger. "So this is what it feels to be caught under this genjutsu..." thought the girl, shivering.
