Emi was a little confused as he left the area in front of the mines, the amekage had been a lot weaker willed than he had expected. A great man doesn't need to have a great purpose? or maybe he did, just not the same vision as Emi had. The thoughts wandered his mind as he walked through the swamp. The walk back to the village was long, yet not tiring. Emi had always liked the swamps, they were so quiet and full of life, yet so underestimated by most men due to all the dangers in them. But he knew that the point in surviving in an area as dangerous as the swamp, was not to be the strongest, but to know where the dangers were.
It's a good thing I've learned to track life signs.
He walked up to a nearby stone, sat down on its cold surface and watched around it to make sure there was no snakes nor crocodiles around it, and then he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The key point in sensing the area was not to focus on a single point, but to learn observe all the life signs around himself. It required a lot of concentration, but as he sat there, he was able to enter a meditative state of mind. And since his eyes was closed, nothing visual could break the image he got from seeing the chakras around him.
But even though he was a little disappointed in the small animals, he still found it intriguing how hard it was to actually see them. To actually see all the mice in a log, he had to focus on it for several seconds before he could actually count the amount of mice in it. So instead of searching for the big and dangerous, Emi decided to look for the smaller things. The chakra pulsed out from his body in the same slow pace as his heart and breathing, but as he wanted to see a little clearer, Emi opened up the chakra flow a little, allowing more chakra to exit his body. The area around him lit up a little more as the chakra started to detect more life, but something Emi didn't anticipate was that the range got wider.
The surprised had made him draw back some of his chakra, making the vision darker and shorter for a moment, but then when he realized what had happened and why, he send out some more chakra into the air. Even though he was able to see the smaller things a little clearer now, he still found it more fascinating to look further, something he knew was a step towards becoming somewhat of a god. His heart started to pound, and he felt how he was starting to become one with the nature, the earth spoke to him, and he listened.
Emi got a little too excited and started to pour out more of his chakra into the air, to see how far he could be able to see. The area in his mind expanded and got many times bigger until he started to feel as if he was leaving his own body behind, as if it no longer was an essential part of himself anymore. Even if the feeling scared him, he also got thrilled on how much closer he felt to the deity he longed so for. But when Emi noticed that even he had gotten further away, and able to look so far, everything was blurry and the chakra he was able to spot was only the biggest ones.
Emi forced himself back towards his body until the area around him appeared to be under his complete vision with the inner eye. He then saw something in the far east of his vision, a big chakra signature that most likely was a bigger crocodile. So Emi calmed himself down again by taking a couple of deep breaths, and send away the focus of his inner eye towards the animal. The difficulty was to keep it withing range, as it appeared to be moving away from him. So Emi send a little more chakra for every 5 feet the beast moved, until the chakra signature was to weak even while draining him a little to much.
As he memorized the direction the animal was headed, Emi opened his eyes and stood up from the ground and stretched a little before jogging towards the direction of the beast.

There's only tiny animals around
But even though he was a little disappointed in the small animals, he still found it intriguing how hard it was to actually see them. That was actually something I could use.
The surprised had made him draw back some of his chakra, making the vision darker and shorter for a moment, but then when he realized what had happened and why, he send out some more chakra into the air. Is this the first step to ascend into something higher?
Emi got a little too excited and started to pour out more of his chakra into the air, to see how far he could be able to see. The area in his mind expanded and got many times bigger until he started to feel as if he was leaving his own body behind, as if it no longer was an essential part of himself anymore. I've too little control so far.

I guess I need to check it out with my own eyes.
