Okay seriously.... these last 2 chapters suuuuuuuucked. So forced. So quick. Just "Oh hey everyone you wanted to get together got together." I still don't believe Hinata and Naruto got together at all. Maybe I'll see it in the final movie or something.
WTF happened to Anko?! WOW did she let herself go. Also where the hell is Orochimaru? Ahhhhh okay he's the final badguy in the movie. I think.
A lot of the children look like bad OCs. Kankuro looks like a drug dealer. Did Lee just clone himself? And what did Sasuke sense in the forest? If the manga is ending, what was the point of that? Is he paranoid? And Chouji ends up with Karui because...? Was Ino-Shika-Cho so important that we had to put two characters who, if I'm not mistaken, never even shared a panel together into a forced relationship with the sole purpose of reproducing?
To be honest, if you ask me, Sakura finishing with Sasuke is such a bad look. Yay for women finishing with their abusers from their youth!
I did not dislike the ending to be honest. It was concise and it gave me an epilogue which I really wanted. My main issue were the previous chapters that didn't really make sense in the grand scheme of things.
And I liked seeing all the new Kages at the ending, mmmm dat Darui!

I haven't posted on here in a few years but I wanted to chime in for most likely my final post regarding the manga itself. I've been reading this manga since practically its inception so just finishing the last page was a very bittersweet feeling. I'm not huge on manga like I was as I started growing up to be the young man I am today. I feel like this journey with the Naruto world became part of my routine, going to read what happened next on the new chapter. So looking back its crazy to feel how nostalgic its going to be remembering what happened so long ago.
I think the ending was very quick, but it got the point across. I think Kishi could've done a little more with it, but I think he for sure wanted to end the series on an even number so left it at 700. The pairings were interesting, and I wasn't even really expecting an epilogue like that so it was a nice surprise.
In all, Naruto was part of my life and was an awesome story to follow with great character depth. Well done Kishi.

Also, to me the Sasuke in the forest bit was obvious. Kishimoto is trying to milk his cash cow one last time. In January there's a movie coming out dealing with the Epilogue sequences. So it'll probably have to do with that.

It is crazy how the manga has been up and running for fifteen years! Though I only became a fan during part two, it still has shaped a lot of my life considering how many hours I spent here and reading the manga.
I'll disagree with every 'they hardly knew eachother' or 'they never even met' comment, because a LOT of shit can happen in X amount of time when nobody's trying to murder one another now.
Redesigns of the older characters are pretty nice for the most part, and kinds fit with the direction they were going in the vanilla story. Anko's fat cause she did shit all the entire series other than sit on her ass.\
Ass for the new ones, they definitely look like they had little to no effort put in at all. Even their names are boring.
Bolt? Salada? REALLY?
Also...I've never been so fucking confused as to what time period this is supposed to be set in before this very moment, because they've got ninja stars and laptops. Their's a city behind them with fucking skyscrapers, yet still chill in robes and do everyting on foot. Is the Tree climbing jutsu now mandatory for everyone in the world, or are elevators a thing?
Also, the Straw Hat Jolly Roger is on Naruto's head, making the two universes canonically connected.

Most relationships were forced.
I don't like Naruto's son name being Boruto or Bolt. I cannot complain and say it was just a terrible ending though. It answered a lot - and left a lot up to the fans to speculate. I wish there was more depth to Kakashi's time as the Hokage and I wished Naruto would have grown his hair more like his father.
I wish their son was named Neji. Wtf is Bolt? That feels out of left field. Name him out of someone that matters. Hell why not Jiraiya? Ugh anyways the thing that bothers me is the Sasuke issue. He gets a girl after constantly abusing the shit out of her. The only reason he helped was just so he could try and rule the world himself and he gets to be let go free to his own devices. Give me a freaking break.

Well Kishimoto always preferred Sasuke to Naruto xD

Technically his name is Boruto. English translating him to Bolt is like translating Naruto to Nalt.... Also according to what I've read about the Japanese breakdown, it's a word pun on Naruto meaning maelstrom? I don't know...
Personally when I saw the 700 posted in the link above I thought Bolt fit when thinking that Naruto's father is the "Yellow Flash", but I doubt that would be the reason.
Boruto being a word play on Naruto is way more likely.
EDIT: Yay I was extra bored and wikipedia'd it lol... Negi means screw... so the english translation to bolt is funny... and makes stupid sense. So then both Naruto and Neji are tributed as well as Minato for his famous "lighting bolt" technique. Yay for wiki.
