As the Kazekage finished speaking, Karui bowed and responded saying "Hello Kazekage I wish to travel to the land of fang to learn sword saint from masters that are rumored to be there, I also wish learn many more skills and releases while I am there, so I would be very pleased if you were to accept my request and allow me to travel to the land of fang".  Once Karui finished talking he waited patiently for the kazekages response.

“I see.” Amira commented casually as she put her pen down and folded her hands neatly, leaning on her desk from her chair. “Wishing to travel to become stronger is a noble goal, and I do commend the idea, but perhaps there is a bit of naivety in what you say as well.” Amira said much more coldly in tone than when she had first spoken moments ago. “The land of fang is full of dangers, and you seem very young an inexperienced.” Amira commented as she looked the Genin over, not analyzing him per say, but gauging his abilities as best she should on the spot. “Perhaps I would feel more comfortable saying yes to your request if I had a Jounin or Chuunin accompanying you, so how about we come to a compromise young man.” Amira commented as she would put her two fingers into her mouth and whistled at maximum volume.

“I will accept your request, on two conditions.” Amira said holding up two fingers as a young fit fellow in an Anbu Wolf Division Mask seemed to appear in the room. “First, you must complete this assignment while you’re out. (It won’t really require a GM, but just remember the fellow has to go with you :/). And secondarily, Tanaka here, will have to accompany you, as a precaution.” Amira commented as the fellow removed his mask to reveal a very slender dark haired dark eyed individual, who seemed fairly uninterested for the time being. “If you have no objections to these conditions, then you have my blessing to leave the village, as you will be doing so on official village business.” She stated, feeling fairly proud of her compromise. “So what do you say kiddo? Are you in?”

Objective: The Kazekage has allowed Karui Kibo permission to exit the village and travel to the Land of Fang to train; however, there is a condition attached to these permissions given. The Kazekage has ordered a Jounin to accompany the young Karui Kibo to assist with his training and help protect him from upper level ninja if they present themselves. The second condition is that the young Karui Kibo must take care of a matter for the kage that has presented itself in the land of Fangs. A wealthy merchant as payed top dollar to see that a shipment is carried safely across the southern part of the Fang Mountains to the northern portion. During @ orange’s stay, he must help protect the merchant’s caravan from bandits moving through the Fang Pass during his stay, as well as training. As as side mission, if the young man can train up to 300 TP while in the land of fang, he will receive a second “C” rank mission credit, as well as 5,000 Bonus dollars (1,500 Ryo to village).

Conditions:
-Tanaka must stay with Karui Kibo at all times during the mission (he will just stay present and does not have to post during training, and will be GMed by the Kazekage.)
-Must successfully transport the caravan through the Pass of Fangs.
Reward: 15,000 Ryo (3,750 Ryo to the village), possible “C” rank Mission credit bonus and 5,000 Ryo Bonus (1,500 Ryo to village).

 Karui with a massive smile on his face happily responded to the kazekage saying "I accept your conditions and I am ready to begin the mission As soon as possible, thank you for giving me this opportunity".  Karui then faced the Anbu member he would be working with and said to them "I look forward to working with you for the days to come".   Karui then exited the building  along with Tanaka who were both ready to begin the mission.

you may be on your way then, I wish you the best of luck with your training and the assignment.” Amira stated with a casual tone that hinted at her general pleasure with the agreement. “Tanaka, make sure to keep the young master Karui Kibo safe, that is your assignment,” She would state as the AnBu member would nod quietly as he would turn to the fellow he would be working with and nodded to him in response to his statement on his exit. As the door came to a close behind him, Amira would sigh and gesture the operative over to her desk.

“Tanaka…or I guess that’s what we will be calling you for now…you know your assignment is much deeper than what I said in front of Karui.” Amira stated getting up to rummage through her desk. Pulling out a piece of parchment, she began to write somethings casually onto the paper. “I expect you to train this young man to the best of your ability, and to report to me as often as possible, as I’ll be lending you on of the village’s ocelots for correspondence.” Amira continued as she was now alone with the black ops member. “Make sure to prepare him well, there is a lot of things in motion right now that I can’t help and I surely don’t want this opportunity escaping us.” Amira finished in a timely fashion with her letter. Folding it up and sealing with wax, she would wave her hand to the operative. “You are dismissed.” She said curtly as the operative simply nodded and hoped out the window, sliding his way down the building to meet Kauri at the bottom, following him towards the gates of the village.

As Tanaka left the Kazekage to her business, Amira would reach under her desk to produce one of the many messenger cats that they kept around the village. This particular lazy individual had been napping under her hakama the whole duration of the conversation, but Amira had not minded up until she needed the creature. “Snowball, I need you to take this message to the embassy in the land of Lightning at Enrai, posthaste.” She stated, taking one of the leather scroll carriers and fastening it to the back of the creature. Contrary to its name, the cat was actually a sandy color, with a while under side, thus the origin of the name. With a curt purr it would hip of the desk with the message inside the carrier and slink out the window lazily, leaving Amira to wonder why the village had never invested in hawks.

Description: Jessie and her friends heard about a friend of her friends bothers girlfriends aunt getting mugged and now they are scared of what might happen to some girls like them. For this reason, they have requested some big strong Shinobi to help them learn how to protect themselves. At least that's what they say, it's up to you to figure out any underlying motives they may have. Teach them how to protect themselves from attackers and you may get a reward. This mission can be taken by up to two Shinobi, preferably male, but they did not want to make it seem to obvious. Jessie and her friends are pretty teenage girls who are recognized by their constant group hug and the fact that the four girls all have different hair colours, and they can be found at the Obelisk of Tears, looking for new shiny jewellery from far off lands.

Terra entered the tower to turn in her voucher for teaching some basic self defense. It was to be noted that she was not a very active shinobi but she was useful. Terra went to the secretary and with just a few words to describe her very basic and simple mission, she waited for judgement.

Description: In Sunagakure the heat attracts some undesirable guests. These Iguanas are prime examples of this fact. It is your job to remove these iguanas from the premsis of one of the many shops or residencies that reside within the walls of Sunagakure. These bloody creatures aren’t very aggressive, but they are persistent. Get them out of my sight before the shop keepers throw a fit. This mission may be taken by one person and up to a squad of three with one Chunin/Jonin leader. If you fail to remove all the Iguanas from the site, your Kazekage will have to have a talk with you about your performance, and the money will not be received. Go get em tiger.
Reward: 10,000 Ryo (2,500 Ryo to village)

Terrazin enters in her usual garb but looks a bit different now. She looks like the title she was earning the Demoness of the Wastes. Her horns could be seen on her head with her hair pulled back in a pony tail. Her tail was also obvious with it moving about behind her as she moved into the mission request area. "I want this as a training mission for me and my team. Jinzu, Karui, and Ioshi." Her tail swayed with agitation and showed off her rear to anyone walking in.

Amira would enter with what would look like the grizzle of a man. He was tough looking indeed. As they would shoot past the front desk, Amira would state very briefly of her intentions. "I'll be taking this fellow back to my office, make sure to have no one else enter until I say so." She commanded as she would lead Shiki back to her office. After getting herself situated, she would prepare herself.

"Okay Shiki, since you've decided to join us, let's have a brief chat and have you fill out some paperwork so that I can award you your headband." Amira said casually pulling a beautiful steel head protector from her desk. "You will be able to keep your rank as Jonin, I mean hell you've earned it, simply fill out these forms and this will be yours...and then I have an assignment for you already to get you back in the saddle if you're intrested." Amira stated very calmly sliding some paper his way and his new headband. "Oh and before I forget, your old headband should be relequished to the intellegence division...unless you are fond of it, I won't make you part with it, but it would help our records a great deal." Amira continued as she rummaged through her desk for a pen. Finding one she would toss it to Shiki, letting him fill out his forms and what not.

"I'd like to keep it if its all the same. I'll get you a new one sometime." Shiki said. It wasn't so much that he cared about the headband. But when you wear the same hat everyday its pretty much becomes hard to part with it. Shiki smiled as he was already being put to work. Shiki took the new headband and wrapped it around his shoulder. "I'll get that done. In the mean time. what's this mission?"

"Alright with that done, I here dub you Shiki, Jonin of the Sand and my personal Jonin Commander and Assistant." Amira commented glad that the headband suited him. "As for this mission, we have an incident that I think will certainly fit your skill set." Amira stated pulling an intel scroll from her desk. "This fort has been captured by an unknown enemy, I want you to take it back." Amira stated firmly as she would write down her order to have Shiki named her Jonin commander, having it sent to the front desk as quickly as possible. "As a member of Sunagakure, I expect you to adhear to us and care for us as you would your own village, so please do your best for your people...commander." Amira would smirk as she used his title. This was going to be an intresting test of Shiki's skill and loyalty.

The Fort Sunder Incident

Objective: You must lead yourself to Fort Sunder to return it to Sunagakure. You must both capture the fort and free the 3 ninja hostages within in order to succeed
Description: A fort originally occupied by the forces of Sunagakure has been captured by a group of rouge ninja. It is unclear how many there are, but Intel has come back saying that the leader is a well-known “A” rank Nukenin from the Hidden Mist. Make sure to take the fort back for Sunagakure and save the three Suna hostages that have been taken if you can. The main priority of this mission however is to take the fort back. For ever hostage lost, 5,000 Ryo will be deducted from the final pay out (not the to village portion though). If all 3 hostages are saved however, the pay will increase by 10,000 Ryo. In order for this mission to be complete the “A” rank ninja must be killed and the fort must be captured. Are you up to the task.
Reward: 40,000 Ryo (10,000 Ryo to the village) +10,000 Ryo bonus for hostages.

OOC: I'm naming Shiki my Jonin commander here in Sunagakure, as well as my Kage's assistant. I'm going to be extremely busy with school this semester so I am enlisting his help. I give him permission to create and deploy missions as well as work on the treasury while I'm away (as long as he doesn't steal anything that is XD). Just leaving this as a note for people if they have any questions and a self referance to note that Shiki has indeed received this due promotion. So say I, Tetsu the Kazekage.

Shiki grabbed the report. "I'll get started right away... Lady Kage." Shiki said with a small smile. He started walking across the doors as he made his way to the doors. He walked through them without making a single noise. It was nice to have purpose again. He stopped half way through the doorway. "When my followers arrive can I reward them their headbands?" Shiki asked with a faint pause. Regardless of the answer he would take his leave.

Death was riding into town with armor as the white wolf marched his prisoner through the streets. The terrified rebel had his hands tied behind his back and a slave collar around his neck. Along his waist was a chord of wire that trailed off behind him. The wire belt was fed to Shiki's hands. He walked the man into the kage tower, grabbed him by the collar and threw him to his knees in front of the kage. 


"Fort Sunder has been cleared of rebels, It's mostly rubble now. But the hostages are alive, all the rebels are dead and this..." Shiki said interrupting himself as he kicked the prisoner in the back knocking him prone. "Is the leader who raised his men against you, who took the fort from the village and was too much of a coward to die with his sword in hand." Shiki said disgusted. 

"Movements and Rebellions die out. But it would have been better to die with your convictions then to beg for your life after sending your men to your death." Shiki said with a note of anger behind his normally emotionless voice.

After checking her rifle at the entrance, a small blonde in a green suit, her unruly hair tied up in a neat ponytail under her cap, strode through the main hall. She was barely waist high compared to most people, but since she moved with discipline and purpose she was still able to cut through the writhing sea of bodies with the efficacy of a blade.

Maintaining a cool air of professionalism, even as she internally wrote off nearly every single one of them as having little value as human resources and even less potential to improve, she approached the waiting room. In contrast to the entrance hall, this room was inaccurately named - most people were waiting well outside this point, with only a few making it this far at a time.

She sat, and mentally practiced how she was going to move her facial muscles. It wouldn't do to come off as condescending to a ranking officer if she was going to have any chance of advancement.

When the slow filtering in and out of select individuals arrived at a point where she was the senior guest, she stood and approached the desk, standing at attention and smiling sweetly like the pure-hearted, patriotic child she absolutely wasn't.

Still standing over the prisoner Shiki had captured in the kage's office. His ears perked up a little bit as he looked back at Amira. "We have a guest in the waiting room. One second." Shiki would then make a shadow clone and send him into the waiting room. The White Wolf would move into the waiting room looking at the new Genin in front of him. As the Jounin commander he had personally reviewed the bio of this ninja himself. Shiki realized how disheveled he must have looked. His own white hair matted with dirt and sand from days of travel, his white skin kissed from the days under the desert sun and over his deep sapphire blue eyes was a massive scar that ran down his left eye.

His armor looking like a flightless iron man suit was the cutting edge of technology. But even that was showing signs of weathering. The paint weathered from the harsh winds that literally sand blasted his clothing. Across his back was a massive full blade shattered into 9 pieces held together by massive lengths of hair thin dark opal wires. Shiki entered cleared his throat. "Congratulations on making it out of the academy. My name is Shiki Senri and for the time being I'm going to be your dispatcher for missions. We have a few contracts available that need attention. Let me know if you want to review your options." Shiki kept it rather formal for now. Depending what this ninja might pick it would give him a pretty good indication as to their nature.

"Yes sir, thank you. I understand my size and age may be an obstacle, but I hope to live up to the standards of this great nation," Titania cheered, snapping off a salute. It was hollow flattery ill-suited to her personality, but true enough in its way. After all, she was hardly ungrateful to the land where she had a second chance at life.

This was all due to the direct address of a ranking officer, perhaps the second greatest authority in the entire Village. More than that, he was one that clearly understood life on the front lines, given he appeared to have just come back from them today. The potent smell of dust and sweat and blood mixing together was difficult to ignore, but she kept her expression locked in a delighted and flattered grin. She had to make a good impression on upper management at all costs.

Judging from his equipment - a massive blade and thick, heavy armor - she estimated him as someone who preferred to engage in melee, likely leveraging his weapon for heavy, powerful blows. Abandoning defense meant an increased probability of taking hits, which explained the armor as it would help deflect attacks and absorb some of the damage from those that still hit the mark.

From the experience and power required of his rank alone, she knew he could obliterate her without a second thought if he so chose, but she still found herself sizing him up, calculating how best to gain an advantage over him in a fight, and perhaps more critically how to manipulate him socially. Combat would simply be a war of attrition - use illusions, keep out of reach of his attacks, and attempt to wear him down before engaging with magically boosted attacks. It was more than likely he had countermeasures against that though. No, in order to fight him, she would have to have already won before ever pulling the trigger, setting the stage for his loss long, long in advance of conflict or else she would have no chance.

As for personally, he was still a front liner. And appeared to be getting on in years, which marked him as a passionate person. Anyone without that kind of drive would have retired to the rear long ago. There was a good chance he had a sister or daughter around her age, maybe younger, maybe older. In the former case, she could play on his hopes for the future. In the latter case, his memories of the past. Either way she just had to turn on the charm and wet her eyes just a touch and he'd be significantly more malleable.

"Yes sir, that would be appreciated. What are we dealing with?"

[Baby Steps]

Shiki watched her carefully. The formality being shown to him wasn't foreign to him. His own students used to show him that same homage. Shiki appreciated it even if it was forced or insincere. What he couldn't abide by was people openly disrespectful. Shiki nodded and held out a small scroll on the table. He opened the scroll outwards letting the vellum crinkle as he revealed a long seal in the center. The child would likely have no idea that this was  a travel ritual but Shiki would place his palm face down on it summoning forwards a variety of items. 

There was a large assault pack full of gear. Shiki handed the bag over to her. "This here is your Standard issue equipment for achieving the Rank of Genin. Congratulations, every ninja at one point has had to earn their headband, even the kazekage." Shiki said slowly. He knew the ninja's academy training would have covered basic weapons and medicine. He wouldn't need to go over the items so much individually. 

"You have a radio inside inside of your kit that has an open line to the village or the capital. I have a direct line to it as well. If you ever need to contact me you can reach me on that frequency. Furthermore, this is an open frequency, so do not relay mission critical information over the line." Shiki said. Finally Shiki pulled out a small piece of paper and held it out in front of the ninja. "This is your VIVRE seal. In the event you are captured. We store your chakra inside of this card and we will be able to find you and rescue you wherever you are on the planet. Please place your hands forwards on this seal and we can get you your mission dossier."

Description: A Light Weapon. These weapons do +1 Amour Points of Damage. The Range Increment of this weapon is 5 meters. A caltrop is a 4-pronged iron spike crafted so that one prong faces up no matter how the caltrop comes to rest. The user scatters caltrops on the ground in the hope that the opponent steps on them or at least forced to slow down to avoid them. 1 slot of caltrops cover an area 2 meter squared. Each time a creature moves into an area covered by caltrops or spends a round fighting while standing in an area, they may step on one. If the opponent steps on a caltrop the Caltrop deals 1 Armour Points of Damage, and the opponent's movements is reduced by 1/2 because its foot is wounded. This movement penalty lasts for 24 hours, or until the creature is treated with a First Aid: Healing Hard Check, or they are healed from minor wounds. Description: Mix the sweetspire and saltpeter in a pot on low heat. Make sure not to boil the two. Place the mixture into another container and allow it to cool until it solidifies. This will make 1 standard-shot of "Smoke Pellet". This is a small clay mixture. When you break the sphere through a timer of 1/2 round or by a hard strike, the substances will react with the strike and fill an 8-meter radius cubed area with a cloud of harmless smoke. A bank of smoke billows from the point it was destroyed. The smoke obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 2 meters. A creature within 2 meters has concealment. Creatures farther away have total concealment. A moderate wind (11+ mph) disperses the smoke in 4 rounds; a strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round. The smoke dissipates naturally after 1 minute.

They didn't teach it at the Academy, but it had been described as a favored tactic of those who specialized in thrown projectiles to avoid weighing themselves down too much. Titania's estimation of her superior rose a bit. She was right, he was formidable. It wouldn't be surprising if his influence and authority continued to increase moving forward, so she made the decision to get into his good graces early and stay there as long as possible. She called forth just enough moisture to cause her eyes to sparkle lightly, a trick that generally worked well on adults.

"Thank you sir, I will keep that in mind."

With a gracious nod, she packed everything away in various compartments of the pack and hung the strap over her shoulders. Considering the pack's bulk against her small body, it reached roughly from her waist to her knees. She was sure she looked rather comical, but maintained a straight face all the same rather than appear ungrateful. Later on she would need to trade up for things better suited to her size, like a small throat microphone instead of that bulky hand radio. Although the effective range would be less, so it would still probably be necessary. She cursed her childish body's limited strength and carrying area internally.

That finished, she laid her hands on the paper vivre slip, and waited. And waited. Nothing was happening. Shiki had said something about storing chakra, but she wasn't sure how that was supposed to work exactly. It was her first time hearing of such a useful magic.

"Is something...supposed to happen?"

Shiki gave a wry smile. "Here." He said softly. His own kids would probably grow up in this same structure. A parental softness took over him as he held out two of his hands and touched the back of the child's palm. Shiki would extract just enough chakra from the child (1 b rank worth) to attach to the vivre card. Shiki would look at the child and the gear. Given enough time that equipment would grow on her. He reached into his bag and pulled out a small envelope. 

"Let's start you with something simple. A few escaped dogs have been running around Suna. We need them captured... unharmed and brought back to their owners. Think you can handle it?" Shiki asked.




Dog Days

Objective: Capture the escaped dogs and return them to their owners
Description: A dog daycare has had a little bit of an accident and Sunagakure Shinobi have been called to aid the business and to recapture the dogs so that they can be returned to their owners. While taking a group of dogs for a walk, the attendant lost them when a cat crossed their path. He swears that the cat did it with malicious intent, but his boss has calmly stated that he is an idiot. Regardless of whether or not there are evil cats in the village, these dogs cannot be allowed to roam the city freely, and must be returned. There are five dogs, and each of them is a little more clever than the attendant who had been walking them.
Sarge: is a handsome German Sheppard with a loud bark and practically no bite. He is a friendly enough dog, but he loves to play, and with his size and weight, he plays rough. At three feet from paw to shoulder, and weighing in at 134 Lbs, he is not a light dog.
Tess: is a beautiful and gentle little beagle who is so intrigued by powerful smells, and will follow that smell until she finds the source. At one foot in height and 43 Lbs, so is fairly easy to handle.
Monkey: is a Tibetan Mastiff, and the largest of the dogs on the list. Weighing in at 199 Lbs, he is not a small dog, standing just half a foot taller than Sarge. Friendly and dumb, he is likely the easiest dog to find on the list.
King: is a bouncing boxer who loves to play and run around in circles like a mad man. When approached, he will take off like a bullet and try to play, often coming in to tackle whomever he believes he is playing with. Weighing almost 100 Lbs, and reaching 3 feet in height, his tackles are hard to ignore.
Lemon: is a sweet little dog, but he is not smart. Barely even a foot tall, this bushy little grey shitzu is the least intelligent dog on the list, and will probably be found eating grass somewhere in a park.
