Valerys followed Shiki forward and into his bedroom, hidden behind paper-thin walls that gave it a contemplative aura, and listened to his words about the weaponsmith from Rain. She was learning so much today and made a note to try to memorize it all. As the two of them entered the room, Valerys noticed training dummies and a stone circle with a direwolf sigil. Valerys looked at it closely, remembering the appearance, and appreciating the fine artwork of the beasts. In many ways she felt connected to the wolf, a majestic creature of the woodlands, and thought of herself as the alpha-female (or male, depending on her appearance). As the two of them got to the room, Valerys would give Shiki one last glance.

"Well, I guess this is it for a while Shiki. I'll do as much as I can and report in to you as soon as possible. No matter the face that I wear next time, it will surely be rewarding for both of us." Valerys would take a second to alter her appearance, now that they were in the safet of his room and away from any prying eyes. Using her Kedoin techniques, Valerys changed her hair and made it stretch down toward her black -- a golden blonde color, and her red eyes suddenly began to become yellow. Small black lines danced in them, revealing her shifting thoughts. When it was done even Valerys' clothes were different, no longer wearing her black dress but now sported a primarily white dress with blue lining and block gloves that stretched over her hands (new appearance). Her headband still laid around her neck. 

"Say hello to Victoria. Like her as much as Valerys?" Valerys / Victoria said and smiled when the transformation was complete. Valerys stepped up to the circle and prepared herself, taking out the container of Shiki's blood. "So what do I do here? Just a few drops on the circle and start to concentrate?" If this was indeed all it took, then Valerys would get ready to leave and head toward the Land of Rain.

"No. No... No blood spilling needed. As you get near it the portal will just run off of your thoughts. You simply need to make up your mind." I said as I walked over to the portal with her. I got near the portal and started focusing on the land of rain. My mind drifted backwards. "I can hear the rain... now. The scents of soft petrichor as the pools of water grow." I said with a faint smile. Suddenly a tear in the reality in front of us would open allowing a view into an abandoned building gazing out into the rice paddies in the surrounding land of rain.

The new scents that wafted in through the damp stone building hit me in full force as I started to sort through the sensory information being departed towards me. I stood near the portal as I looked at the new face that was standing in front of me. I could still tell her scent had not changed but I did remember that many of them could change their scent. "I'm glad that smile is something that never changes on you." I said in an amused tone. This one was really something. I can't wait to see what she pulls off.

Valerys watched as Shiki explained how to use the portals and opened up a rift in the space in front of them to the Land of Rain. "Truly something, Shiki," Victoria said and looked through the opening, "I look forward to when we meet again. And next time, perhaps we'll finish the entire bottle of your wine." She would attempt to put her hand through it, and if it worked without any harm then Valerys would begin to cross over. Stepping through the portal, the first time she had ever teleported, Valerys would end up in the Land of Rain in an instant with the thought of the Hoshigaki weaponsmith in her mind. If this was her first opportunity to show Shiki her strength, then she would happily accept.

As she would step through the portal, Valerys would end up in a flat country infested with grass (suddenly very different from the Land of Wind) and rain drops splattering on her arm and hair. Instantly she was becoming drenched, the smell of rain wafting into her nose. In the desert this would be considered a very joyous occassion, but here it felt sad. Valerys took in a deep breath and prepared herself.

She had a job to do.

Victoria felt herself shift through the portal and suddenly could feel the heat and dryness on the other side of the network, a familiar feeling that had happened to her in reverse as she had traveled to the Land of Rain. Not knowing if Shiki wanted to bring Emi in through public eyes or keep him secret, she opted to teleport to his bedroom to keep the man hidden in case it was a secret. As Victoria went through the portal, she wondered if Shiki would still be there, and if he would be alone. It hadn't been horribly long, but she did miss him in some ways. He had been such an intriguing drinking companion. As the two of them flowed through the network Victoria would be holding Emi in her arms, smelling him and trying to make the embrace as personal as possible. She was fond of touching others afterall.

Emi had warned her that if this was a trap, he was not one to die. When they had reached the other side, Victoria said, "Not a trap, my friend. You are now within the Kazekage Tower." And she would wait to see if Shiki was around. If not, then she would have to come up with a plan and she wouldn't be able to just leave Emi alone?

Victoria was still donned in the attire she had worn when she left the Kazekage Tower, blond hair and yellow eyes with a white dress with blue edging, and also still had her polearm on her back and butt bag on her right cheek. Now, however, she was soaking wet and had been drenched in rain before coming -- leaving water rolling down her skin and forming a puddle. She put the vial of Shiki's blood in her bag and looked around the room, remembering all of the things that she had learned her not even that long ago. She prided herself on having accomplished this mission -- if it was indeed almost done.

he dizzy sensation one normally got from shifting between planes was something that Emi had gotten accustomed to and his body was completely still as they arrived. When he noticed that Victoria was holding on longer than he had anticipated, he got hesitant. The young Hoshigaki had never experienced such an intimate moment and he could feel how his heart was starting to race. As he didn't know what to do, he just tried to end the hug by clumsily pat the lady on her back. When the hug finally released him, Emi breathed out and began to scan the surrounding area to make sure that he actually was safe.

Seems like a very private teleportation circle. He must trust you greatly.

Quite frankly he got surprised that they had appeared in that room, making it feel like he was almost uninvited guest. The temptation to give himself the opportunity to come there at another situation without the circle was great, and he nearly allowed the urge to take over his senses. But as he then felt like it was too disrespectful, he just smiled and pretended like he had never even thought about it.

Please lead the way.

He said as he wrapped the robe and cloak closer around his body, to allow himself to stay fairly cool due to their wetness. When the fabric snared itself around his body, he could feel the set of crimson tears he had in his pockets, which had him glare down upon his favorite weapons, the bear paws. To make sure that he didn't appear to be hostile, Emi made sure to hide the gauntlets within the sleeve of his robe. Then as he saw the wet girl next to him, he realized that he most likely hadn't dressed all that well for the climate. The clothes underneath his robe was after all made to protect him from fire, making them fairly warm to wear in normal circumstances.

My voice could be heard across the hallway that led from my office into my bed room. The two new comers arriving via portal would have just arrived as I was dealing with one of the older Jounin who had recently returned from a mission. Based on the mission report I had just received I was far from happy with his performance. My eyes glared at the young man in front of me. "You failed your mission because you approached your target and their guard in the open to speak to them?" I said incredulously. I was not one for covert action either, but I also didn't fail tasks given out to me. "The target was weak and so were his guards. I figured I could approach them. I wasn't expecting them to have so many smoke bombs. I was only able to kill one of the guards before the rest of the party escaped." My fist clenched as I looked at the ninja. I set the report down on the table in front of me.

"There is a fine line between confidence and over confidence. If you wish to act like you do not need precaution you must be infallible in your approach and leave nothing to chance." I said slowly. "This infraction is going to look poorly to our client and we are going to need field another team out to rectify the mistake." The jounin instantly flashed a scowl on his face. "And who are you to tell me of how to run Sand operations, I've been doing these missions longer than you've even been in the city village." I felt a twinge of anger run across my mind as I glared at him. I remained calm. I needed to keep my composure it would be poor fitting for the Joun- "Just a white haired traitor fro-."

My fist came down on the table as it was blown apart and splintered into fragments. The floor itself rumbling from the impact. I could feel the bloodlust in the back of mind asking to creep into my actions. But I kept my emotions in check as I gazed at him through my sapphire eyes. "I will forgive your tone this one time. Insult my honor once more and your broken body will lay across the sands. You leave tonight. Your target will be dead no later than 14 days or I will hunt you and him down myself. Dismissed." I barked as the Jonin tried to hide his fear. "Yes sir" He said softly.

I reached out and placed my hand on the desk using the power of my soul to turn back time. The desk would reform and take its original composition. "Fucking ass." I said as he left the room.

Victoria could hear the sounds coming from the other room and listened to Emi's comment. Indeed, she had never thought that Shiki trusted her, but when two powerful people had similar motives then it was safe to assume that they could get along. But of course she wasn't going to let Emi know this. The yelling from down the hall would immediately being an aura of intimidation to the room, but Victoria felt quite at ease. "You could say he trusts me quite a bit," Victoria smlied, "Now then, you can clearly hear Shiki even now. It would appear that he is in his office. If you wouldn't mind Emi, stand back just a little ways and don't get too scared. I'm still the same precious girl that you know..."

Then Victoria would begin to let her flesh bubble and bend from her stomach as her hands pulled down her dress to to reveal her shoulders, upper back, and upper chest. She looked beautiful, except for the skin which had suddenly began to morph and stretch from her body -- morphing into an odd conglomeration before beginning to take on an image of its own. Soon the cells were taking on the appearance of a long, blonde ponytail and yellow eyes. Similar to Victoria herself, but it was a taller girl and her hair was a shade darker. She wore a black and white shirt and tight-fitting pants, along with fish net leggings and sandals. Around her waist was a Sand Village headband to express her compliance and Victoria hoped that no one would question her homunculi on its short trip to Shiki's office. A blue necklace hung around her neck.

Victoria would turn to Emi and say, "Please forgive that sight," and smile at him, if he allowed her to do so. The homunculi would look at Victoria and salute, and say, "So, what now Boss?"
"Go and find Shiki in his office. Let him know that I have arrived her with our guest."
The homunculi would smile. "But of course." And it would go running off if allowed by Emi, walking out of the room and down the hallway with the utmost confidence if allowed and would find its way to Shiki's office. It would knock on the door and if allowed in and Shiki was there would say, "Well, hello, is this the office of Shiki the Kazekage's assistant? I believe you wanted to have a private meeting with me." She would attempt to give him that smile -- the same smile that Valerys had given him so many times when drinking wine. She would wait and see his reaction, knowing that he was a strong man and had just probably had a difficult time.

Meanwhile, Victoria would still be standing with Emi and would say, "Please forgive my secrecy. Just want to make sure that Shiki is ready to see you." This was true, and also needed to know whether he wanted her to bring him through the tower or keep him in the room -- but the homunculi would find this out. For now she was grateful to have a moment alone with the crafter, and this time in her own village. In her own tower. So much for all of that rain...

The amount of Homunculi the user may craft is capped at 9 per day.They last for one day before melting away. Going farther than their functioning ranges causes them to melt.
Description: A flesh crafting skill that allows the user to create a larger and more powerful Homunculi. By amassing a myriad of cells, the user can craft and bring forth an organic construct derived from the user's own body. Greater homunculi form and bubble off the skin. Similar to a lesser homunculi, this creature is granted its own nervous and muscular system; capable of operating as its own living organism for all intents and purposes. It can speak, interact with others, and think for itself. Unlike a lesser Homunculi, this creature is more suited for combat than espionage. Greater homunculi are granted the following stats:
A base movement speed equal to that of the user.
A Choice size between 100 cm and 200 cm tall (3-6 feet).
Physical fortitude equal to the users own Class level (EX A B-class user allows a Greater Homunculi to survive 1 B-rank attack)
Homunculi deal same damage as the user.
A functioning range of 100 meters.

Greater Homunculi can be crafted to appear as the user desires; from young adults, to the elderly and more. If a Homunculi is consumed by the user, they gain the knowledge and memories obtained by the Homunculi. If killed, they turn into a mass of cells and the user does not gain any memory. The user may craft 3 Homunculi when first learned. Relearning this technique as a "A-ranked technique" allows the user to craft 1 more homunculi.
Limit: Kedōin Clan. Must know "Craft Lesser Homunculi"

he loud noises from the other room was actually quite easily comprehended, which had him wonder how thick the walls were in between the bedroom and workplace of the assistant. Even though he recognized the voice from the kage summit, the fun part was what they were talking about. He had always heard about the achievements of the other villages chunins and jonins, but the test sample he just heard of was laughable clumsy.

hmm, is that a blood power or just a talent you've developed? Because if it's unique to your blood I might know one of your relatives.

Emi said after he had given Victoria her space and then observed the creation of the strange clone technique.

Don't you worry, I'm used to much strange and plain things. Life is a spectacle after all, better experience the most of it.

Like always he tried to sound both adult and experienced despite his young age, but he wasn't really that neutral about his life's ups and downs. To get in a better mood Emi walked around a little in the bedroom and looked on the obviously not too private things in there, trying to get himself an idea of the man living in the room. His fingers wandered across the surface of some furniture while he remembered the intensity from Shiki at the summit. He knew that he would need to be prepared or become a victim.

Have the other girl wait until the shinobi has left, we don't want him to realize he has been busted with a failed mission by us.

He said as the girl was leaving, but he directed the information towards Victoria before he met her gaze. While carefully observing the movements of her irises, Emi tried to figure out if the clone was being controlled by the woman, or if it was having a will of its own.

The ninja had left but there were more around me. I could hear their footsteps as they made their way through the building and spoke to one another. These damn ears take away all the surprise of these types of things. Still. When I heard the knock I simply used my bloodlimit to pull open the door by twisting the door handles magnetic field and pulling on it. I saw the new... demi-human? Was that what they were called? If not well they should because that sounds like a cool name. What does the word demi mean again? Doesn't it mean like half? I guess this could be considered half human all things given. Oh wait. I haven't said anything yet.

"Err... Welcome." I said trying to bring my mind back to the subject at hand. My sapphire eyes traced along this ones face trying to determine any similarity visually. Her appearance could change and she was to far away for me to catch a scent just yet. I wanted to make sure this was in fact the same charming shape shifter who had recently come by.

Victoria and the homunculi would do as Emi had instructed, waiting until the shinobi had left before entering the hallway and making its way down to the door. Both of them just seemed to understand that it was the best course of action. As he tried to figure out whether it was a clone or had a mind of its own, there wouldn't be many helpful clues. The homunculi made its way down the hall and would go to knock on the door, reaching when it opened of its own accord. As the door opened, the girl noticed that Shiki was observing her quite a bit. "Better stop staring or you'll make me blush," she said with her usual smile. If allowed, the girl would shut the door behind her and look at Shiki and say, "I've come here to let you know that your gift has arrived. I believe you and I are connected... Valerys kedoin. She is waiting for you in the bedroom, not sure if you wanted to see your guest here or there."

The girl would smile. If Shiki asked if she was Valerys or some sort of clone, then she would explain the situation to him and how she had been born of Valerys' blood, a byproduct of her body made for scouting. Such skills were ordinary to her by now. The homunculi found itself, within the ability that it had to find itself at all, pleased to be in the company of such a powerful recipient.

Meanwhile, Victoria stood with Emi and said, "Well, I'm glad that you are used to such things. It is clear that you have seen many things, Emi. And those abilities, yes, you could say they are from my bloodline. Are you familiar with my family?" Victoria said this as with her grin and knew that she had no connection to any family or those of her bloodline. She was a face among the wind, and while Victoria may have felt friendly -- Valerys did not. She was having fun with her ploys, but longed for the moment when she could reveal herself. It was always so sweet to see the look of dismay on the faces of boys who didn't know her true form. But it didn't seem that today would be that day. She remained calm and waited for Shiki and her soldier.

The waiting

mi had discovered most of the interesting part fairly quickly and then just stopped in the middle of the room with his arms crossed with one hand on his cheek. His eyes still wandered through the room however as he thought about the current safety flaws he had noticed just from that room. There were no guards and the only thing blocking others to enter through the circle was the blood. He did however like the idea of the circle, just that he didn't agree on where it was reasonable to put it.

I am not sure he's of your family, but he most likely is a blood relative. Because that minion of yours is almost identical performed. How is it that one actually works?

As he asked Victoria Emi looked around on her body, to see if there were any marks on her that indicated some kind of experiment or easy access points for the homunculi.

You have a fluent existence? How is that like?

Even though they didn't really knew each other that well, Emi wanted to exploit the opportunity to learn more about her. He understood it was a little personal, which was why he was fully prepared to get fleeting answers or none at all. But during the entire conversation he made sure to remain smiling towards her.

The smile was familiar. I gave a small grin as I stood up from my desk. I took a half step upwards leaned on my desk to press myself up a bit easier. "Making a shapeshifter blush. How charming." I'd say softly as I keyed into the conversations being had in the other room. "I'll come join you there." I'd say softly as I pushed my chair back in behind me as I moved over to the door. It would only take me a few movements to move over to the new split persona of of the shapshifter. So she can perform the same jutsu as the other shapeshifter... Good to know.

The walk through my little collection of trophies passed by. I was bored of this tower. I was bored of pushing papers and watching from this blasted tower. Perhaps I would schedule some time away from this place. I paused as I neared by room. Even though the room was my own, I still checked the room for traps and anything out of the ordinary as I moved into the room to see the two ninja I was looking for. Given the obvious change in physicality between them it was easy to figure out 'Victoria' as she now called herself was successful. As I was expecting.

"Then follow right this way," the homunculi would say, smiling all the time that they walked down the hall. She let Shiki lead the way, feeling that be more appropriate. As the two of them came closer to the room, Shikii and the homunculi entered. As Shiki was inspecting for traps the homunculi would come back over to Victoria / Valerys. "Such a cute man. What a shame..." she'd say before being reingested into Victoria's body -- the cells grasping into her shoulder blade as she pulled down her dress a bit and allowed it to crawl back into her. As Shiki introduced her, and the homunculi continued its absorption, Victoria would smile at Shiki and prepare herself. He was such a powerful man. But so was Emi. It seemed that Sand was getting quite its fair share of powerful allies, and Victoria was glad to be standing here in the middle.

"Good to see you again my Lord," Victoria said, pulling back up the top of her dress and remembering everything that the homunculi had known. She would smirk about Shiki opening the door with his powers. She remembered fondly the day that she had met him, not even that long ago, and how far they had come since then. "I've brought our guest at your request." She'd give Emi a moment to introduce himself before saying, "He was most agreeable along the way and I can say that we have come to know each other well. I can see why you brought him here. It was nice to make your acquintance, Emi." She would smile at him, but it was a different smile than the one she gave Shiki. This one seemed genuine and not at all malicious. In fact, to Shiki, she would seem an entirely different girl. This one more joyous, more bubbly. But the same face he had seen on the day she left.

She wondered now that she had brought him here, what came next? Shiki clearly had power in this village and she was excited to see what kind of rewards or powers he might give her. Victoria was, afterall, really a very selfish girl. Holding back laughter, Victoria would then step out of the conversation for as long as necessary -- allowing the two men to conduct their business (or step out if they asked her to or it felt right). All the while, however, her ears stayed open. Always searching for knowledge.

Meeting the leader of sand

he young Hoshigaki blinked a few times to clear his weary and dozy mind as he watched Victoria and listened to the approaching steps on the outside. Since the woman seemed to either not have heard what he asked, or just didn't want to share the information, Emi focused himself on the coming meeting with the leader. He calmed down his breathing to get control over his nervousness. Because despite that he had been in similar situations since he was young, he still found the excitement around need meetings with powerful humans as one of his favorite task. As the steps nearly reached the door every sound made was echoed by his pulse and his gaze wandered intensely towards the opening as it swung open. He tried to avoid displaying too much of his excitement in his face by using his knowledge over acting, but the spark in his eyes were still there to betray him.

Thank you for the pleasurable company Victoria, and thank you for meeting me so swiftly

After the appreciation to Victoria, Emi nodded in her direction before turning to Shiki and continuing to thank him along with an appropriate short bow. He felt that it was important not to add in any honorifics as he had not been informed of which one he went by.

As one of the allies of sand, I'm glad to have been personally summoned by its protector.

While he was talking to the man, he tried to remember the rumors he had heard regarding the man. Because even though he had not heard anything but impressive words about him, he hadn't been informed about his exchange of village.

I excited to learn what I can be of assistance with.

Emi then awaited for a possible response from Shiki, and since they had only briefly met during the summit, Emi made sure to analyze the way the man was speaking. All traits of a man could reveal hidden insights, and Emi couldn't afford missing any detail.

I'd reach out as the minx of a kedoin tried to walk out of the room. I'd place my hand on her shoulder. "A moment... I need you for a while longer." I'd say softly as I watched the new ninja. "My Name. Is Shiki Senri and unknown to everyone who has spoken to me today. I am the Kazekage." I'd let the words hang in the air for a moment. The words felt fake, even to me. There was so much more I'd need to do to earn the title. "I have reached out to you for one really particular reason." My sapphire eyes would shimmer slightly under the magical smokeless torches and candles that filled my bedroom. As the shimmering continued, the pupils in the centers of my eyes would suddenly become crowded as my bloodlimit became active. 4 separate pupils would grow in a box pattern around my eyes.

I'd hold out my hand and from the corner of the room a cloth wrapped item would come flying across the room towards my outstretched hand. "Before I get into it. I'd like to make sure you are the man I've heard rumors about. This... is the spear of bitter mercy. I want you to tell me everything it can do." I'd hold out the spear still wrapped in its bandages towards the Jonin in front of me.

Effect: A Spear designed to bring about a quick and brutal death in a variety of ways. Forged by the twin weapons smiths of sunagakure this weapon was commissioned by the Jounin Commander Shiki Senri as a reward for a job well done.
Special: Dead Breaker - Humanoids with Chakra abilities that are damaged by weapons made of this material must make a Will save (1/2 the damage dealt) or have their highest Chakra Techniques suppressed for 24-hours. Regardless of the success or failure of the save, the same weapon will not affect the same creature again for 24 hours. Changeling - This spear appears to be made entirely of a metal with a bright silver sheen, and the head is joined seamlessly to the haft. A Changeling weapon allows the user to choose its length and appearance each time they attack with it. Once per round, by speaking the appropriate command word, the user can change the weapon into a great polearm, polearm, or short polearm size appropriately for the user, and add any decorative flourishes desired, though the spear's actual composition does not change. Energy Ray - Once per day, an energy ray weapon can blast forth a Chakra Ray at any target within 10 meters as a ranged touch attack. The Ray deals 60 Armour Points of Sonic Damage upon a successful hit. Everbright - Flecks of marble and pearl shimmer across this weapon set within images of bursting stars and beaming suns. An everbright weapon can flash with a brilliant light 2 times per day at the user's command. When it is activated, all creatures within 6 meters radius of the user are blinded for 1 round. Hideaway - Activating is a Weaving Movement. Several studs texture this weapon, as do numerous hinges and slots, though none seems to impede its effectiveness. When activated, a Hideaway weapon folds up into a bundle 2 size categories smaller than it, making it easy to conceal. User gains a +10 bonus on Sleight of Hand checks to conceal hideaway weapon when it's folded up. A second activation causes the weapon to unfold to its normal shape. Shadow Strike - Weaving Movement activation. This weapon looks dull, black, and its edges seem indistinct. A Shadowstrike weapon can reach through their own shadow to catch foes off guard. Once per day, the user can activate the property to add 2 meters to the weapon's reach for a single attack. The target is denied their Minor Defenses for this attack. Consumptive - This weapon is dark in color, and its blade or head is covered with menacing runes. When activated, a consumptive weapon is shrouded in negative energy that seems to draw light into it. The negative energy does not harm the user as long as they have the weapon in hand. The effect persists until they speak a second command word. "No problem Emi, let's get together again sometime. It has been such fun traveling with you."

Victoria listened to Emi and felt Shiki's heavy hand on her shoulder, hearing the words but not really understanding them at first -- he was the Kazekage? It seemed that something had happened in her absence. All of a sudden, the famous sickly Kazekage seemed to be no more. Victoria would wonder how Emi would take it, since he did appear to be friends with the previous leader. All of a sudden Shiki's eyes changed color and he was summoning a spear from underneath a cloth in the corner of the room. Victoria didn't know what power it held, but it seemed that Shiki expected Emi to know. He hasked him to analyze the spear and tell him what it could do. Victoria was curious to see if he could actually do it -- to what extent he could know a chakra device. She had yet to meet someone who was particularly good at this talent.

"Boys and their toys...," Victoria said with a smile, but her mind wandered. Wandered over how she could take advantage of this unusual situation to benefit herself, what was it that Shiki wanted her to wait and see? Was it just his title change? She waited to see what Emi would say as an answer and would wish that she could use the spear if it turned out to be powerful. She was afterall trained in the use of a polearm. If she discovered that it aws a powerful one, then she would be quite pleased to know what tools Shiki had lying around.

The Quality Test

hen Emi saw that Victoria actually was stopped from exiting the room by Shiki, he felt a relief. Despite that he just recently had met the woman, he felt like he could trust her. The man in front of him was however a mystery and he kept on analyzing Shiki as he began to speak. The name was already known to Emi, but he was caught off guard when Shiki revealed that he carried the title of kazekage. The fact that Emi's friend had lost the position was troublesome as that could be due to death, the severe sickness requiring action or just plainly that Shiki had had outmaneuvered her politically. So he tried to hide away his emotions for the time being, to make it easier upon the coming diplomacy.

Was the only thing he was able to say until Shiki had given him a test to prove his ability as a smith. That had him curious, was he going to be asked to do a long term work for him? But he didn't mind hinting at what level he was at, especially not to someone ame wanted to keep as an ally. He squinted his eyes when the weapon was presented to him before he reached for it with his right hand. There was no hesitation in Emi as he grabbed it, pulled it a little closer and then had it spin twice counter clockwise around his hand before he stopped it laying at its center of gravity. Emi had it lay there for a brief moment as his eyes observed the almost perfect stillness. The boy then smiled and grabbed the spear for real while slowly removing the wrappings.

It's perfectly balanced and is heavier than ordinary spears.

He mumbled mostly to himself as he analyzed what he noticed. When he saw that the color was strange for the weight, he immediately suspected that it could be a fake or hasted weapon. So to make sure that it was not, he looked for signs that would reveal those kind of things, but there were none. That had him realize that the metal were the unexpected kind.

Deed breaker? If so, it has also been super heated to be more durable

To confirm it he tapped on the surface a few times with the claws from his gauntlets. He closed his eyes and carefully listened to its clang while having his ear close to its surface.

Yes, it's definitely the rare metal. I also feel that it for some reason is more flexible in its ability than spears normally are, its not only for thrusts.

The item felt unrestricted in its limits in his hands and he was barely able to determine how far he could reach with it. So he made a couple of quick thrusts away from both of the sand ninjas, all which reached further than the previous one. When he returned the spear back to himself the last time it had shifted in shape into a massive two handed polearm with a navy blue metal covering its head and a wooden texture had replaced the metal pole.

Its form is changeable and the length follows the users intention.

The Hoshigaki then continued to study and reveal the abilities of the weapon at the best of his ability, mostly talking to himself as he discovered its gifts and traits until he gave a descriptive summary of it all.

S class for sure depending on his signature. The other is a prominent ninja from the land of leaf named Rize. I want you to talk to both of them and determine if they are worth meeting. Give them greetings from the kazekage. Wait until we are concluded Victoria before you leave."

I'd turn my gaze back to the jounin in front of me. "You must be Emi. I'm very happy you could make it. For the time you are staying here you are to be afforded every platitude as a representative from Amegakure. From what I hear you a talented artisan and a brilliant Jounin. I have a very difficult task in front of me Emi. My Jounin corps is weak. Our turn over rate on missions is projecting a steady decline. I've given up on our current Jounin and would rather focus on fostering the newly graduated chuunin into officers themselves. This is normally a task I'd only do myself however it is something I cannot do with my new duties attending the village. I brought you here to ask you to lead some of our ninja and help mold them to the next stage of their development. Granted of course your kage approves of this."

Victoria beamed with happiness at both the spear and that Shiki wanted her to stick around to the conclusion of this conversation. So much knowledge would be so much power. And power came through no metaphors with the spear -- which as Emi had explained was made out of a rare metal and was changeable in length at the user's discretion. To know that it was hers... well, Valerys certainly chuckled internally. But, as much as she wanted to toy with Shiki yet again, she was in disguise and Victoria would never do something so rash. "My Lord, truly, you're giving me the spear? I have only done as was best for you and the village. No payment is necessary, but if you insist (as I know you normally do) then I will take it. I will not let you down. This spear will be an oathe to my loyalty to you and the Sand Village." She sounded a totally different girl from the one Shiki had met in the tower earlier. Her show was not only for Shiki, not only for Emi who she did want to impress, but also for herself. If allowed she would take the spear from Emi and admire its beauty. "As for your missions, of course Lord Kazekage. I will find these people for you -- I've enjoyed my time as a messenger quite a bit. I've noticed more Chuunin in the village recently, one of them will surely take up the call as well."

Victoria looked at the spear (OOC: appearance with Snow's permission) and at the ancient runes which covered its length. It was dark, almost black, and red insignas and cloth like a scarf that twirled down its edge. Victoria seemed to feel power, but had never had experience with a chakra device and admired the construction. She felt now more powerful than she had in a long time. It was intoxicating. It seemed that Shiki was not just a crafter of great wines...

While Victoria continued looking at her spear, she would give Emi and Shiki more time to discuss the plot that Shiki had presented him. A jonin? From another village? Valerys thought. Shiki you are ever intriguing... She thought that she could deduce what was going on, from Shiki's past and Emi's reputation, but left it just speculation and focused on the things she had obtained. And new missions to boot. She could hardly wait to be off, looking for this S-class shinobi that he had mentioned. While Emi had been agreeable enough, certainly not all of Shiki's guest would be that way. And when that time came, well... Valerys sneered and chuckled within Victoria's mind.

She wanted so badly to launch the spear into somebody's neck.
