It seemed Kusanagi had something on common with both his teammates. Ramses liked animals and Captain Amira liked swimming. He was sure they were going to get along just fine. Now that they knew a little about each other the Kazakage wanted to talk about the route. Kusanagi did not know anything about the route, he has never been out of the village. He didn't know which route would be safer. He decide to leave the route question for the two comrades to answer. Kusa checked the map trying to be helpful, but his geography wasn't that good. Traveling on the mountains sounded cool and smart. There were less chances of being by enemies there, and he was pretty sure the mountains had cool animals. The Kage took the scroll and rolled it up her pocket which meant they were ready to leave. He stood up from the chair waiting for the Kage to lead the way. He was very excited that the waiting was over. He had only one last thing to do until they leave the village. He hoped the shop had the pouch he was looking for.
Ramses would listen to the plan of action as soon as they left the village and Ramses agreed. The best thingt o do was to take the lest conspicuous route after all. Travelling in the open space is just asking for someone or something to come out of no where and attack you. However, the mountains of tsuchi are like the sands of suna. They gave a home turf advantage to whomever might be lurking. Though it did not matter since the Kazekage was with them. Nodding he would stand up and would exit with the Kazekage
Amira swiftly began to walk towards the door as she prepared to leave. She knew that the pair would undoubtably follow her as she began to push herself through the door. She knew that we companions were ready, and honestly she was too. Another mission out of the village was always an excitement. "Alright, let's get to it." She said walking out the door with her hands in her pockets. She was confident in her ability to return to the village soon. Taking the front door out of the tower, Amira began to walk out the doors probably followed by her companions. "Meet me at the gates in thirty minutes, so if you need to buy anything do it now." She said throwing her right hand up as she departed towards the gate. Sighing, she began to make her way to the gates for her squad's first official mission.
OCC: go ahead and post at the gates when your ready. Please do hurry though. I'll be waiting for you all at the gates.
Isamu stepped into the tower from the blazing midday sun. He had left his tactical vest and katana at his apartment but his forehead protector shined and displayed on his forehead indicated to all observers that he was a loyal shinobi of Sunagakure. The rent payment on his flat was due soon and he could use an extra cushion not to mention some new equipment. There were always additional missions to take at the tower and he had heard some rumors about missing garden gnomes that had peaked his interest. The culprit in such a theft could be anyone, after all who would want to steal garden gnomes?
Isamu cast his eyes around the first floor. The tapestry exhibit was particularly interesting to him. He had memorized the history of the village long before he enrolled in the academy but the tapestry work was beautiful and an inspired choice in medium. He wondered who had done the needlework. They were incredibly skilled, but of course that was too be expected. Only the best for Kazekage's tower. Isamu had not met her, though he had seen her face in the papers. She was very young, but her age didn't concern him so long as she could prove herself a strong and capable leader.
Isamu walked up to the desk bowed his head slightly smiled and said, "Good morning, I heard we have a garden thief in the village. I'd like to volunteer to investigate."
The Nightman Cometh Rank: D-rank IIC Length: 2 Days Difficulty: Low Objective: A spooky figure has been sighted in the yard of a resident of the village. Description: David is a stocky man with one arm, a retired guard for a town in a far away land who lives in Sunagakure to sell his lovely flowers, and was not a superstitious man until recently, when he was having bad dreams about a shadowy figure skulking around his house, only to wake up and find that his garden gnomes had been pilfered! Requesting aid from the village, he would like to see some Shinobi protect his garden from this shadowy figure. Although it seems scary, a shadowy figure and garden gnome theft; there are many possible explanations, from kids stealing them as a prank, to a neighbour being a sleepwalking kleptomaniac. Find out who is stealing those gnomes and inform David. David can be found sitting on the second floor of the Kazekage tower, asleep against the wall. This mission can be taken by up to three Shinobi. Reward: 3,750 Ryo (1,875 Ryo for the village)
The woman that sat at the reception desk sighed with disdain. "Welp, I guess you will have to do Mr.volunteer" she said quickly flipping through her filing cabinet and pulling out the mission file that he had requested. "Now is that all?" She asked in a mood tone as she handed the fellow the mission file that housed the Kazekage's stamp of approval upon the side as well as the title. She shook her head in annoyance as she realized that this was only the beginning of the day's annoyances.
Isamu picked up on the tinge of exasperation in the receptionist's voice. He wondered what twists of fate had put her behind that desk, a role that was clearly frustrating for her. He smiled tightly and thanked her for the file before taking it and strolling over to the wall to read it.
David was a retired guard and missing an arm, that alone could account for bad dreams. Some manifestation of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? It was a real possibility, but he wanted to investigate the thefts properly. That meant interviewing David himself.
Isamu made his way to the second floor. David was not hard to find. He was asleep in the corner, no doubt the security of the tower helped put his mind at ease. Isamu reached down and shook him lightly, curious to see his response to being awoken. David awoke somewhat startled but not violently. Isamu noted this and flashed him a grin, "Sorry to wake you David. I'm the genin who has been assigned to investigate the theft of ypur garden gnomes. I was hoping you could answer a couple questions?" Isamu paused and David still rubbing the sleep from his eyes yawned and said, "Yes of course."
The genin started in on his questions. First he asked about whether or not there had been any complaints from the former guard's neighbors about the garden. There had not been. Isamu also inquired about the price of the gnomes and how easy it would be to sell them. They were moderately valuable to collectors and commonly sold at auction houses and antique shops. Isamu knew that those venues would not require paperwork and would have little reason to doubt a thief's claim of ownership.
Isamu pursed his lips, pausing before moving to a more difficult line of questioning. "David, I'd like to ask you about how you lost your arm. Have you ever suffered from PTSD? You may very well have seen something or processed something subconsciously in the wee hours of the morning but I have to explore all of the possibilities." Isamu waited patiently these were not easy questions after all. But he would not need to wait long David came back quickly with an answer, "I lost my arm in a night time raid. I never saw the bandit who did it." David paused, "I struggled with PTSD for a couple year. I couldn't work and I was alone with my thoughts. My wife is really the one who helped me through it. I haven't had night terrors related to my attack in years... but it's not something that just goes away... so I don't know it might have been PTSD, or I might have seen something." David pressed his lips together in a tight smile. "I'm sorry I can't be more helpful."
Isamu tried to give David a reassuring smile. Some part of him felt bad to drag David back to that time but he had a job to do and David must have know these questions were coming. "Thank you David, you have been very helpful. I would like you to replace the gnomes in your garden. I will watch over the garden for the next few nights and hopefully catch the thief." Isamu gave him a parting bow and made for the stairs. He smiled one more time at the exasperated receptionist before walking out the door, a line had already formed at her desk.
Isamu stepped into the tower. He stepped up to the security and handed over his katana and throwing weapons. Next he hauled the two large bags of gnomes onto the table. The ANBU searched through the bags thoroughly pausing to examine some of the grotesque expressions their expressionless masks betraying nothing of what they thought. Slightly uncomfortable Ishido offered up an excuse, "They are stolen property that I was hired to return. I am meeting the owner on the second floor." The ANBU still said nothing to him staring back and making no motion to return the gnomes to Isamu. Isamu scratched the back of his head uncomfortably. Finally the ANBU, satisfied that he had thoroughly unnerved the Genin and that the gnomes posed no threat, slid the bags across the table to Isamu.
Isamu grabbed the bags and tossed them over his shoulder. He strolled over to the stairs and began climbing. It was early in the morning and the Sadojin only half expected David to be there so when the one armed guard was nowhere to be found Isamu took a seat and relaxed. He still hadn't fully decided what he would tell David. He had just caught David's wife stealing the gnomes. They were husband and wife so no law had been broken now Isamu had to decide whether he would tell David that his wife was the thief or lie. David had told Isamu how his wife had pulled him out of despair after he lost his arm. Should Isamu tell the truth even if it threatened the health of that relationship? David would certainly believe that some kids had done it. Isamu could even tell him that he had left discipline to the parents. Isamu's brows pressed together, this was a troublesome decision.
The troubled Sadojin looked up David had just crested the top of the stairs and was making his way towards Isamu with a big grin on his face. Isamu forced his face into a smile and stepped towards him. "David! I've found your gnomes." David was beaming, "Thank you my friend! Please tell me how you found them! And who stole them!" The man's excitement was too much Isamu couldn't bring him down. "Well David, I staked out your house last night and caught some kids sneaking into your garden at 3 AM. I had them give me the gnomes and told their parents. They'll be disciplined enough by them without me bringing the law into it." It was a lie but it would keep this man's day from being ruined at least.
There was a mischievous twinkle in David's eye as he laughed, "Don't worry kid, my wife told me everything this morning. It's why I was late." Isamu stood still unable to conjure up a response after being caught lying. David came to his rescue, "I appreciate you trying to protect our marriage, but a relationship like ours can't be broken by a couple of gnomes. My wife is everything to me, she saved me, so if she wants the gnomes to go, well then they're gone." Isamu smiled, "Thanks David I knew how much she meant to you and I didn't want to threaten that." David clapped his arm on Isamu's shoulder, "Well I don't really need those gnomes anymore, so I'll just sign your mission slip and be off." David snatched the mission slip out of Isamu's hand and signed it before quickly handing it to the Sadojin and walking off leaving Isamu holding the bags.
Isamu looked at the bags of gnomes. What was he going to do with these? He didn't know anyone who would think they were worth paying for so he couldn't make money off of them. The Genin sighed, he would probably just throw them away. With the bags of gnomes over his shoulder he made his way downstairs to the receptionist's desk. After waiting his turn in line he finally reached the desk. With a courteous nod of his head he presented the signed mission slip and with a smile said, "Hi, I'd like to collect my payment for the mission."

OCC: checks out, please remember the link next time and wait for staff to pay you.
The clerk looked up from her desk and sighed that the very same ninja that had left only a few days prior. "Alright, let me just stamp the file, and we will get you the money from the vault. " she said waving her hand to the bear masked ANBU member who quickly returned with a small sack of ryo coin and a fold of Ryo bill notes. "Here you go..." The woman said vainly as she took the money and placed It on the desk before the fellow. She quickly stretched and finished up with the standard question of "is that all?" The clerk adjusted her seat as she awaited the response of the Genin or for him to leave.
(Pay out: 3,750 Ryo | 1,875 Ryo to village treasury)
Isamu took the ryo from the receptionist. "Actually I saw there are some escaped dogs. I'm happy to help with that." Isamu handed the receptionist a flyer he had picked up that morning. "If there's no issue I'll head over to the Obelisk and start the search." Isamu waited for the receptionist's answer.
Dog Days Rank: D-rank IIC Length: 2 Days Difficulty: Low Objective: Capture the escaped dogs and return them to their owners Description: A dog daycare has had a little bit of an accident and Sunagakure Shinobi have been called to aid the business and to recapture the dogs so that they can be returned to their owners. While taking a group of dogs for a walk, the attendant lost them when a cat crossed their path. He swears that the cat did it with malicious intent, but his boss has calmly stated that he is an idiot. Regardless of whether or not there are evil cats in the village, these dogs cannot be allowed to roam the city freely, and must be returned. There are five dogs, and each of them is a little more clever than the attendant who had been walking them. Sarge: is a handsome German Sheppard with a loud bark and practically no bite. He is a friendly enough dog, but he loves to play, and with his size and weight, he plays rough. At three feet from paw to shoulder, and weighing in at 134 Lbs, he is not a light dog. Tess: is a beautiful and gentle little beagle who is so intrigued by powerful smells, and will follow that smell until she finds the source. At one foot in height and 43 Lbs, so is fairly easy to handle. Monkey: is a Tibetan Mastiff, and the largest of the dogs on the list. Weighing in at 199 Lbs, he is not a small dog, standing just half a foot taller than Sarge. Friendly and dumb, he is likely the easiest dog to find on the list. King: is a bouncing boxer who loves to play and run around in circles like a mad man. When approached, he will take off like a bullet and try to play, often coming in to tackle whomever he believes he is playing with. Weighing almost 100 Lbs, and reaching 3 feet in height, his tackles are hard to ignore. Lemon: is a sweet little dog, but he is not smart. Barely even a foot tall, this bushy little grey shitzu is the least intelligent dog on the list, and will probably be found eating grass somewhere in a park. In order to get the list from the attendant, he can be found at the Obelisk of Tears, looking for the dogs and wearing a dog eared hat with a green apron with the words: Dog Daycare on the front, Reward: 3,750 Ryo (1,875 Ryo to the village)
The receptionist nodded and gave him the next mission file that he required. All in all her interest was not peaked just as it had been days before. "Here you go." She said as she relinquished the mission's specs. "Good luck." She added with a sigh as she leaned back in her chair and waited for the annoying Shinobi to go off and do the mission.
Isamu took the mission specs from the receptionist. After she wished him luck Isamu thanked her with a smile and turned towards the exit. He had noted her annoyance but smiled at her all the same. Some people are always be in a bad mood but that doesn't mean one should abandon courtesy. Even if she found him annoying his relationship with this receptionist controlled what missions were available to him. No amount of snark or bothersome behavior was worth throwing that away. His parents had made deals with their fair share of difficult people and it was from them he had learned the virtues of patience.
Isamu approached the exit and retrieved his katana and secondary weapons from the ANBU. Before exiting he made eye contact with the ANBU who had inspected the gnomes. He tossed the sacks of gnomes onto the table in front of him and walked out of the tower.
Isamu left his weapons with the ANBU. Even this late in the evening the tower was still a buzz of activity. It really was the central hub of the city. He approached the receptionist with his signed mission slip. "Good evening, I'd like to collect my payment."

The clerk sighed as the fellow returned once again. "Done are we?" She asked now in a slightly lighter tone. She was getting use to seeing this fellow coming in and out. "Either way, here is your pay." She said waving for the ANBU member to come over and throw down the sack of Coin and bill notes that would enevitably be the fellows pay. "Will there be anything else?" The woman asked customarily. The next portion would depend upon the shinobi's response.
The receptionist's change in tone did not go unnoticed by Isamu. It seemed his continued patience was beginning to pay off. As a dedicated servant to the village it was always rewarding to be acknowledged by another who shared his dedication, even if it was as small as this. Isamu smiled, "Thank you as always. While I was at the Obelisk I heard talk of a strongman show being hosted at the Obelisk of Tears. There are many members of my clan memorialized on the Obelisk, I would like permission to enter the show and see if I can convince them to relocate." Isamu waited for her response. The Obelisk of Tears was as sacred a site as there was in the village and the villagers he had heard had been upset with the showman's choice of location. It was an excellent central location but to host sparring matches in the Obelisk's shadow was sacrilege in the eyes of many.
Just too Stronk! Rank: C-rank IIC Length: 2 Days Difficulty: Moderate Objective: Ya think yer 'ard mate? Description: Step right up! Step right up! How many people in the crowd think that they can handle the toughest challenge of the Mighty Stronk? I can see six people in the audience right now who I know would pee their pants just thinking about it, and obviously that won't do, as the people want a show! They want someone to be able to defeat the mighty stronk, or at least put up a good fight. The man is not trained in any martial arts, but he is a massive man and he towers over everyone. Weighing in at seven hundred and ninety nine pounds, and almost nine feet tall, he is not easy to knock over, and he certainly won't take it easy on no stinkin' sand ninjas. This show is only on for a limited time, so get in the ring if you think you can handle him. The Showman Steven the Steve Stevenson is a sharply dressed man wearing red and yellow striped clothes calling for anyone who passes through the Obelisk of Tears district, although he's a hard man to catch since ANBU don't like him making a mockery of the monument. Only one shinobi is capable of taking this mission, and there are no weapons allowed in the ring. Reward: 7,500 Ryo (3,750 Ryo to the village)
"done" the receptionist said simply pulling out a small folder that was a similar paper folder that describes most of the missions. She gently extended the folder so that the Genin could take it and be on his way as always. "Boy, you have taken quite a few missions these past few days." The clerk stated as she sat back in her chair so to find a comfortable poise. "Go on and get em tiger." She said sarcastically as she awaited her next order of business for the day the would undoubtably be a waste of time.
(Mission approved! I'll be GMing it for you via personal request, so yay prepare for some fun mate.)
Isamu took the folder. After the receptionist spoke Isamu scratched the back of his head and told her, "I'm hoping to attend the upcoming Chuunin Exams so I've been trying to save up for some equipment and make sure I qualify." As he turned to part he realized he had never introduced himself properly he turned, "By the way my name is Isamu Shounin sorry for never introducing myself." After her response he would bid her goodnight and exit the tower after picking up his equipment. Isamu struck off for home. He would need some rest before the next day's mission.
