It had proven to be a very interesting week as that was a certainty. He found himself walking amongst the grounds of the surrounding area with a discernable eye on what the situation that he was lost. There wasn’t anything wrong with that, just the fact he had forgotten about his compass and map for a moment and may have to go back to find them if they were not taken already. Never mind that, but there was also the matter that in this forested area where everything looked the same he was finding nothing different about his path at all. At least in the Land of Rain where is it mostly flat beds of water due to countless rain falls there was an easy way to span one’s eye.

The priest was dressed in his usual attire of fitting death god robes. Granted, the shihakushō he adorned on his body was pure black including the black hakama pants to boot. His traditional sandaled feet were in the bindings of woven leather while his hair was messy in the blonde fashion he had it in. Small spikes poking up in odd places and others were concaved in purposefully. It was an interesting thing to say the least and he continued onwards with a casual thought to himself. His neck held a tattoo on the back, two arrows in different directions of up and down that held the manner of which his clan held.

In the shihakushō clothing he carried with him the mono-goggle with an Anti-flash Lenses, Condition Viewer Visions, Thermal Vision, and X-ray Vision. There was also the two wireless radios, and forty-one senbon to accompany the mono-goggle. Following this is the kunai holder strapped beneath all of this and hidden from obvious view with ten kunai. On his hip he moved onwards with interesting view was the Itosen Dagekimi and its fluid wire wrapped around the blade itself but hidden within the sheath. His body light on his feet while the white sash that kept the sword around his waist was slightly dirtied. It was a bright and sunny morning all the while he moved onwards with his body’s natural performance standing at six foot eight inches.

Brother ‘Suke managed along while gazing at the many occurrences and fretful days that lasted along for which he posed in such thoughts for the different areas of which he looked. This forested area had been a loss of the way, an interesting view mostly as the morning was moving along and he was heading along his way to view. The methods of which he moved along and managed his most usual forms of understanding led him to becoming more lost and he could only understand it for so much. He hated the idea of getting lost, it just proved most disdainful as he moved along in the morning air to feel such the crashing down of knowing he was lost obliterate his mind.

It did not end there however, it continued onwards for him to find himself the improbability that he found himself halted by a strange girl dressed in a red cape. She had been running as if her life depended on it for some reason, granted he never noticed the bird dropping the ribbon to him but it was still something of a curious thought. Curiously or not, he moved along and managed to look upon her or it could rather think of it as looking down at the girl who stood a clear foot smaller than himself. Whatever the case, he looked at the girl with a curious eye while blinking at an equal surprised.

First person he runs into after a week is this girl, who seemed to be so very odd in behavior as well given the heaving breath. His doctor side kicked in after a full three seconds of being shocked in place as he held out a hand and asked, “Are you feeling alright? You are looking quite flushed and perhaps need some rest. Would sitting down aid you any or were you in a huge hurry?” He asked, his eyes looking at her and asking while also thinking it may have been perhaps a better idea to kneel so to be fully eye-to-eye or at least more so fully that way. He hoped she was all right though, it was something to be most curious about as such a thing as this was further thoughtful.

With a bit of thought now, he continued to look at her after seeing her reactions. The complexity of the situation seemed to be a growing painting of circumstance. When she looked back at her animals, his eyes widened their gaze from the tunnel vision he had suffered from being lost for so long. The first look was at the beast downwards to the girl’s side, the antlered thing with a bird. These creatures were so very odd to him, the peace of nature around her was odd to understand yet it posed an idea of a warming understanding of such things. The voice before he saw the bird perching was also a shy one as was the prior time.

Such a reserve of human contact, daunting as it was, posed little threat to him while he watched this with more curiosity. The words spoken allowed for him to finally bring a hand up and feel the ribbon that was hidden atop him. Pulling it free he looked at it and then knelt down, to bring about a more peaceful proceeding and perhaps to be that eye to eye feeling. Granted, he was now looking up at her but it wasn’t as big of a different as before with just standing completely tall. Holding the ribbon out to her with a smile to his lips, “Here you are,” in all courtesy to do such as he held no reason to keep it from her.

This girl, she was unlike most he was aware of and that much was a certainty to him as she was light. Much lighter on her feet than most shinobi he has ever seen or trained in the past. Though he was lost, it was perhaps a good sign to see someone so nimble and gentle to the earth and the creatures that inhabit it. With the braid out of his hand, he soon heard the snorting of one of the animals and yet he remained steady and gentle of his own manner. Being someone of a larger size in mass it was knowledgeable that he had a harder time being gentle in things but this was not one of those.

The good deeds and life of a doctor allows for the gentle security to aid one, but no matter how long he’d remain in hospital care and training there was no way he could be this gentle. The girl’s fingers brushing his hand, they were almost non-existent in the touch itself that he found to be interesting. Then the ribbon found its home in her hair after she had done some adjustments. But at least the voice that came along next was no longer that of timid or fearful sound residence. He heard her name but her speaking words were short it seemed. ‘Just how long has it been since she’s been in contact with anyone…’

The thought was heavy on his mind before he found himself sitting down on the ground, no longer kneeling to easily rest his knee. Asa-chan, it as an intriguing name that was fluid and reminiscent for the winds in the trees in some cases for his mind to bring along. He bowed his head kindly, before bringing it back up, “I am ‘Suke. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Of course it didn’t take long for the grumblings of his stomach to start up, loudly interrupting out of his gut while he had said ‘meet you’ to the individual. The face he made then was blanched, flushing completely as he thought he had hunger under control after so many years of fasting time to time.

‘Suke had done well to try and hold in all amounts of rumble and grumble during his days when out in search or just walking about. Mostly due to the obnoxious behavior it could bring on, or in his case the embarrassment of having someone else hear the loudness of it. What wasn’t expected was that the girl had eyes like a deer in flashing lights when it happened. Those wide blue eyes, there was an innocence in them that ‘Suke hadn’t noticed before or perhaps was too preoccupied to notice prior to this event. However it did not last long when she spoke up with a more calm voice, something seemed off on that but then he noticed something.

A collection of materials gathering from sticks and stones to a checkered cloth as well. A picnic? For someone who appeared detached from society it was among an interesting development to see this custom actually sticking in that mind. Perhaps ‘Suke expected a more vegetarian meal instead of the rabbit he saw but he wouldn’t complain, rabbit was just as good as the next after all. He watched her keep two sticks free, his watchful eye watching when she began to rub to try and start a fire.

However, he saw something that could perhaps be more useful of a technique keeping the same principle. With his own gentle hands he went to place over her own, so long as they weren’t yanked away, and said while showing instruction, “If you start from the top, and rub with pressure going downwards you can get more friction on this. By doing that your hands will obviously start going down the stick but keep the fire in the palm region. If you go to the fingers you’ll lose the pressure needed.” His hoped not to frighten her too much with this display but it was a helping hand.

The sitting Ame shinobi watched, with a good interest on how she prepared the meal and with watchful eyes he was impressed with the cooking ability from such small ingredients. The rabbit though, watching the field dress of the rabbit wasn’t among the most favorable things of this display with proper certainty. He has seen plenty of field dressings of larger animals but the slick skinning of birds, rabbits, rats, and other small creatures were never the most favorable to see due to just the easy manipulation of tearing flesh from muscle and so on. He was curious if that was what humans looked inside with some perplexed notion and sick mindedness of this thought.

When the other ingredients were pulled and began to be used there was a more calm feeling that washed over him. His nose having gathered the scents together and enjoyed the smell of the upcoming meal. He could feel his stomach gurgling from the anticipation to the sweet smelling meal yet he watched the display of the girl and one of the creatures. The display of familial warmth between her and the creatures posed an interesting development to him. If she perhaps was raised in the wild, this would show account as to how she was so well balanced on her feet.

Also that display of which the creature offered a bone with rabbit still on it shown to him more reasonable evidence for the claim. “Were you raised in the wild by any chance?” Such was the question he proposed without thinking, having sat back where he was originally was before aiding in the fire catching display. She felt so small in his hands now that he thought about it. Fragile like a flower perhaps, but nimble as a doe…

He was thrown off by the nouns that the girl implored to use when describing who raised her. The manner of grandam and grandsire both threw ‘Suke off of understanding exactly who they were exactly. A grandmother and grandpa of noble lineage perhaps? The sire part and grands in both were what led this thought but he couldn’t be absolutely certain of the matter and for the time being he held a blank stare before returning it to the actions of which she flattened the checkered cloth and the pulling of other foods. He refrained from asking for either until the soup was done, that was a proper way to go about it in his mind anyways and at the same time the humble face he wore had to remain.

With a bit of a steady thought, he remembered his own parents in their enslavement at the Land of Sound’s encampment. Masamune individuals were still slaves after many years, it had been over a decade since he escaped but the services of a shinobi world were not much better than that of being enslaved. This led him to hoping she wasn’t a shinobi and enslaved to this world’s laws. Living out here, peaceful as it is, was a far greater fate than what a ninja life could lead on. He brought up another question now though, a tentative one but getting to know a kind stranger was always a tentative action after all.

“You say until you were thirteen. However why would your, um… grandsire, build a house for someone at a young age? Is it customary in your family to leave children at that age or perhaps you still visit them time to time?” A couple questions, rattled off without really having any container on them or filter at the same time. He ran away at an even younger age but he still had large amounts of trouble even until he was sixteen with a home and life alone. With how fragile she looked, he wondered if she were truly alone.

So, the girl was still attached to family and visited. That much was good to see for him, enough for him to accurately enjoy more of her company as well. However it was sad to hear that a family member had died, and it wasn’t exactly enjoyable to hear such things either. He knew death like the next person but this girl, he hoped for her sake the death wasn’t a daunting one of any and all things. He watched her move the soup into the bowls after having let it cool. Even supplying the bread as well and he could still see the flaky separations of the bread, such freshness was assuring.

‘Suke had started to enjoy the smell of such enjoyable creations while he thought up how to explain his own familial sense. With a nod of thanks he bowed his head with a small moment for grace before rising and picking a small part of the bread up and moving it through the soup, before placing it on his palette. It had been so long since he had last eaten, it tasted lake gold to his mouth completely. “This reminds me of the soup I had when growing up. My mother would make the best soup for us who worked with the black irons of our family lineage.” He smiled, enjoying another dabble of the bread soaked with soup to enjoy it.

He wondered now if he should begin to speak up more probabilities of what his family was like, what is childhood had been of. The slavery in Land of Sound that he escaped and so on. He was curious of this but ultimately he began to wonder about this and while he now went onwards to think how to approach the subject more subtly. “I was raised in the Land of Sound for a small time before traveling to the Land of Rain. I’ve yet to build my own house but I have many tokens that can build myself a manor if I so wished though I’m still debating where the best place for it would be.

“A place without shinobi villages would be my favorite option. A peaceful place, like the feeling I get when eating this soup,” He spoke adamantly with humble origins while using the bread as his main eating habit, not utilizing the silverware yet. This seemed to be the easiest way of speaking up the way he was raised, and with hope the best way as well.

The young man was indeed interested when she said her grandam was in a ninja village. It would prove most interesting to know where exactly that was but he did not show such interests. It was inappropriate for him to do such, especially given all the conflict his own village was encountering. In time perhaps but for now it was not something he would like to know about for spying on other villages. It was that simple mind of his though that he kept quiet and allowed for her to finish speaking. His eyes watching her massage the creature that had claimed her lap. Scooping up an additional bowl once having finished his own, now of course he began to use the spoon for its purpose.

“Thank you for the meal by the way, I do hope I wasn’t an inconvenience,” chuckling lightly as he gave his thanks while thinking on how she was indeed different from other shinobi. Speaking along those same lines, “Well, you are indeed different from other shinobi that I’ve encountered. Many are not nearly as careful of nature as you are. Nor do most ever consider cooking for a stranger who could’ve been an enemy of their own village.” He smiled kindly more, eating some more of the soup while enjoying that taste that filled his mouth and the scents that tickled his sense of smell.

He was a pacifist mostly, guess that is why he went into medicine but that was difficult to explain most days. Well, dependent on the mood of conversation may be a better way to explain such a thing as this. “I too am a shinobi, but not exactly like most either. I prefer the medical route and helping others opposed to attacking first and asking questions later.” He said that even though he had a sword on his hip. Granted, protecting one’s self was a necessity he had to account for and with such he did what he could to keep all lives as secure as possible, even his enemies, it is his nature after all. He wondered if she would pursue the subject though of where he was from perhaps, but then again probably not.

She shook her head as he mentioned an inconvenience. As he started to speak of shinobi she shrugged. "I don't really pay attention to the like. I haven't even been in the village in months. Gran meets me at my house. I've never even done a mission." She smiled and placed her bowl down before leaning back against Isamu, who had decided to lay just behind her. "I don't fight at all. I just want to be able to be with my friends." At this she turned slightly so she could hug Isamu's neck.

"My friends don't ask for much. They don't do evil things. Mostly we just wander about in search for new friends."

Ultimately ‘Suke was proud not to be an inconvenience that was truly something he found praise in while maintaining some governing idea of self. It was however, what she said next that captivated what he was listening to and curious about. Not being in a village for months was something that hit the man in such curious gaze while holding respect for her still from the factor that she didn’t fight at all. That hug she shared with the animal though was enough for him to understand she had some form of peace in this life after all. The wandering about in search of more friends though, that wasn’t something he would judge against in a matter of speaking. “I understand all too well the matters of friendship in this world.

“They are important and truly are links that hold us together. I believe they are what makes the individual. The amount of true friends that gather around an individual can be symbolic to how well they maintained their lives, how good natured they can be.” It was a simple believe, a naïve one to some, but for ‘Suke he thought of it as in respect to when a person dies those left behind either gather or don’t. If they were a friendly one, then many people show up, if they weren’t then it was a lonely ceremony indeed. He hoped his own would be bustling but at the same time death wasn’t one he’d wish on anyone. “Do you by chance have friends that are human, or are all your friends like the few that are around you already?” It was a curious thing he felt compelled to ask.
