Deîpu Furîzu (Deep Freeze)
Rank: "C" "B"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: Utilizing advanced mechanics of the Water Creation and Ice Creation, the user forms a ball of water near the freezing point, before hurling it at the target. Once the ball comes in contact with the target; it freezes on contact.
Special: "Eight Handseals"
Drawback: The user is incapable of moving while performing this technique. In addition the jutsu only moves along a straight line.
Description: Utilizing the Water Creation jutsu, they perform eight handseals before swaying their hand in a circular motion. The swaying of their arms drops the temperature of the created water as it begins to forumlate into a ball within one of the user's hands (preferably the dominate hand but this is not necessary). When the user is ready the ball is hurled at the target. The water in question is at a temperature which is near freezing point and instantly freezes upon contact within a meter radius for the B-rank version. The B-rank version is capable of completely freezing anything within the three meter radius; making this variation a death move requiring death approval.
Limit: Kaishin Bloodlimit, Requires Water Creation and Ice Creation.

Ice techniques were, as a general rule, passed on through generations of Kaishin, and as a genin, Shigeru figured it was his duty, or his right- whichever one made him more entitled- to learn them. Unfortunately, he might as well have lived planets away from his country bumpkin, Mist-dwelling kin, since there was no one he was acquainted with, bar his sister, to teach him the ice techniques; and he might well have lived planets away from her, too, because there was no way he'd be caught asking her for help.
But he was still a Kaishin, and if he couldn't learn the technique then he would brute force it until it came to him.
The training ground he had chosen was a field of barren rock, twenty metres across, littered with boulders and with weeds sprouting up in cracks in the ground. It was far but, not too far from the main village, and the echoes of shouts from the academy could be heard in the distance. It was well-used, but not so much that someone was likely to come across him. Low rocks surrounded him on all sides but the east, a path that lead to the village proper. In short, it was middling in every way.

Standing out in the middle of the field, Shigeru drew water from the air around him, until he had a cylinder as big as his head. Deep Freeze was a technique he has seen his sister perform a thousand times, and the seals were somewhere in his memory. Still, it took him a moment to pull all eight seals out of it. His forehead creased in concentration as he ran through the eight seals, never moving his eyes off the hovering ball of water before him, and he moved on to the next step- the next ridiculous, stupid looking step. Reluctantly, Shigeru moved his hand in a slow circle, looking for all the world like his hand was being physically lugged around by some invisible force and he just was going along with it. Really, it was less a sway than a series of jerks, and his eyebrows had tugged down in an offended glare by the time he held his hand out for a ball of ice…
Nothing materialised. The ball of water above his hand stayed lukewarm and wet, and Shigeru felt his shoulders slump. I'm not in the Academy anymore, I guess. Maybe it was time for a break.
But the thought of some other Kaijin up in their farms, kids and old folk alike, performing the technique like it was breathing propelled him forward enough to trudge along with the technique. Forming another ball, the boy wasted no time in performing the hand seals again. The circular motion looked like swatting at a fly, this time, but he was sure to integrate his icy chakra into the ball of water as he swatted. Obediently, the water crystallised from the inside out, and within a second the ball was a clunky, misshapen, sphere of ice. Shigeru wasn't trying to win it a beauty contest. With a flick of his wrist, he sent it flying toward the nearest object- a four foot tall boulder. The verdict was out on whether he could freeze rocks with the techniques, but sure enough, a thin casing of ice bloomed across the root of the rock, shimmying up the edges until half the rock was covered in a pale casing of ice.
Shigeru was tempted to walk away, right then, and call it a day, but there was no use for a technique that couldn't be used in battle, and unless his opponent happened to be two feet tall, he wasn't getting much use out of Deep Freeze as was.
Another ball of water materialised in front of him, courtesy of Water Creation. The hand seals came more easily to the boy this time around, and he found himself skimming a few seconds of the time taken- always a plus in a battle. The hand movement was not so graceful. Shigeru was glad no one was around to see him sneering and flailing ridiculously- but he supposed in the heat of battle they'd just have to get over it. He paid more attention to the structure of the ice, making sure each particle was tightly packed enough to make the ball smooth, and the result looked relatively decent, despite the fact that Shigeru almost found it a waste to spend time shaping something that was just going to be tossed at the nearest target. The next boulder went up in ice the same as the first, but soon the entire thing was encased. It still wasn't enough. The layer of ice over the rock was thin enough that someone could break out of it, with enough willpower.
